Went on a Sunday early evening, wasn't super busy. I really enjoyed the playlist. Read on if you would like to know what to expect... When my party entered we were directed to the the order counter to get menus and give credit card to start a tab, if drinking they give you a wrist band to activate taps. Seems you can pick your own table and when you want to order food go back up to the counter (they asked my last name since I already gave my credit card), they then give you a number to set on your table for them to know where to drop of food. There were shelves of different kinds of glasses and you help yourself. To activate a tap place wrist band below screen at bottom right corner, top edge turns green then pour (tip tilt glass side ways a bit for less foam). The screen will let you know your quality of total pours. Most drinks were 50 some cents an oz with some in the 60 cents. When done turn in your wrist band and they will give you total for tab and run the card on file.

Omg I love flights and here I got to make my own! They had some delicious options. And there are sooo many options! Very chill atmosphere. Nash was amazing, thank you 🤩 I throughly enjoyed my Black Friday 🤣❤️

Google
A very cool place. I’m expecting this concept of pouring your own beers to catch on everywhere - it’s brilliant. The food was amazing, and there are a TON of beers on tap. However, many weren’t very good. I stuck to a few of the good ones most of the night after trying a bunch that were surprisingly bad. Note that the alcohol content of most were much higher than you’d expect, even on the lighter beers.

Google
If you're looking for a new twist on a brewery, this is your place. The rules of the game as it were is that you pay 20 bucks for a wristband that you wave against one of the what seems like 100 taps. They consist of wine kombucha some non-alcoholic teas, non-alcoholic sodas and overwhelmingly beer. You then choose a clean glass from one of the many cabinets strategically placed throughout the restaurant and basically pour yourself a glass of your beverage which is measured in ounces. At which point your wristband is deducted of its 40 oz allotted to it. Side note, you can always contribute more money to your wristband. The atmosphere is lively and has the rollaway garage doors that open to the street so that one can enjoy the noises and people watch. The food should you decide to eat. Here is well crafted and tasty. The crowd is usually lively and of the 25 to 50 something crowd, North county families and some college students.

Google
I'm traditionally not a fan of any places that you need to serve yourself, and this place is no exception. On the plus side, you can try small amounts of lots of beers. But many of the machines are not working properly. Plus, there is a limit on how many ounces you are able to pour yourself. If you're going to be there to watch a game of play trivia, those restrictions can add up quickly. Also, I got constricting facts from various employees telling me they can change TVs. Was ultimately told no channel change for NHL finals game, after I'd purchased another beer. I'll probably be back, but not on top of the list.

Google
Great food and many beers to taste. They give you a bracelet to try the beers and the food is delicious. The place is big and relaxing with a pet friendly environment.

This was such a fun place to hang out with my family. Love the vibe and the people. The beer and wine selection was great not to mention the kombucha. The food was really good too!

We went for the $8 Burger Special (all day on Mondays). We had the special and some canned soda. The burgers were huge, lots of fresh toppings, and came with pickle on the side, and fries..which were delicious! They also have great ranch. As others have mentioned it is a concept tap house. You pour your own beer (wine, mead, seltzers) from an array of offerings. We aren't big drinkers but the concept is cool. They have indoor seating and covered outdoor seating. We noticed lots of T.V.s with sports playing, rock music (not too loud, which I appreciate), there also appeared to be outdoor heaters as well, which should be nice on cooler nights. The bar/restaurant had plenty of seating, both high/low tops and tables to accomodate larger groups. I would also agree that it appeared to be accessible. While we were there, I noticed a pretty mixed crowd, which included children, so, it is family friendly. The bathroom (ladies) bathroom was clean. The only things to note which might bother some folks is that there is no service. You order at the counter, the food is brought to you (no one checks back). There is usually free street parking with in a few blocks. We went around 3 pm and found parking, no problem. All in all- would go again.

Yelp
Barrel republic is located in Carlsbad Village. Super fun experience using the tap wall. They give you a bracelet and you find what you would like to drink. You tap the board and self pour: The two gentlemen that helped us out today were super friendly and gave lots of recommendations of food and of course THE Beer! It's big inside with open seating and an open window towards the front for people watching. Towards the back there it's a table fire pit with seating around. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Awesome burger and sandwiches! Who would have thought?! Our neighbor wanted to introduce us to their burger, she raved about it. So we went with her for some lunch. I got their barrel burger, comes with lettuce, tomatoes, sauce, some pickles and onions. You pick fries, I got the sweet potatoes. The burger was nice and juicy. The patty was thick and cooked right so it wasn't dry. And those pickles!! Not sure if they homemade or what not but I love them. I asked for extra and it made it so good. The place is known for their beers. They have many taps and you use a bracelet to pour the beers yourself. You can try as many as you want, of course paying by the ounce. Cool concept if you love beers!

Yelp
I first came to this location for trivia night and had a total blast! The host and I basically became besties and my girls and I loved it! I came back shortly after for some lunch before I headed down to the beach. My sandwich was delicious! This is also a cute location in downtown Carlsbad and just a few minutes walk to the beach!

Yelp
It was a little gem that we discovered today. Nice, friendly and not super cold( it was cold, windy, rainy day) when stopped here for a quick bite. As you walk in, you are greeted and the host will tell you a little bit about the drinks and food order system work. You pick what you like, and go up to the counter to place order, if you are drinking, then you get a wrist band that allows to try any of their beer, kombucha, cider and few wine( maybe 3 total, very limited wine selection). For drinks, you scan your wrist band and pay for what pour( very neat concept). Over all, the food was great; we got pickle chips to share, got shrimp tacos( perfectly cooked and generous with avocado), my friend got beyond burger which she said was delicious. I will come back

Yelp
Taster's choice. It's not just an old school brand of instant coffee. With Barrel Republic's many, many taps & self-pour system, this place is the taster's choice for anyone looking to try & explore new beers. After you're checked in with your card on file, just touch the provided bracelet to the tap of your choice, pour yourself a few ounces, & try a beer you've never had before. Then rinse (literally, with a new glass) & repeat. & repeat. & repeat. & repeat. With only a few ounces at a time, there's a lot of tastes before even getting to a pint. Keep trying more or have more of a newly discovered favorite. All beers are priced per ounce, so the control is all yours. Located right on State Street in Carlsbad Village, parking can be a bit of a challenge. With a large darker indoor space, a smaller brighter outdoor space in back, & a long counter facing the street perfect for people watching, there's a spot for everyone. For my beer tasting odyssey, I arrived a little too early for Happy Hour. Which, if I recall correctly, is Monday-Friday 3-5 pm. During that time, it's 20% off all beer pours. It's just 1 more reason I'll be looking forward to coming back & doing DIY beer flights.

Yelp
Came here for the first time during a wedding rehearsal lunch with a large party. They have a unique system of serving yourself your own beers/wine from tap using a scanner. There was a variety of choices but unfortunately a few drinks were out or not available. The food was also good, but I think a better way for the servers to bring out the food would be according to a designated order number. Each person in our large party had to walk up to the cashier and order individually, but no number or name was given. So when the servers were bringing out the food, they were yelling the order aloud while we were all socializing which was interruptive throughout the event. It was also confusing to the guests and the servers because there were a lot of repeats of the same orders so it wasn't clear which belonged to who. Overall, we still enjoyed our time at Barrel Republic with our friends and family. Hopefully next time they will have wristbands available instead of just using the scanner that you have to hold which is easy to lose.

Yelp
Nice selection of beers, cider, and wine. When you enter, go to the cash register, open a tab with a credit card, and the employee will hand you a wrist band. Use the wrist band to activate a tap to pour your beverage. Tip: Let them know , if this is you first time here to demonstrate how it all works. Great place to meet with friends and/ or family. Great too if everyone wants their own tab. Definitely an adult social setting. Can be pricey if you don't pay attention to the total amount poured. But what better way to try beers, ciders and/ or wine from various places. Cheers.
google avatar

Linda M.

Yelp
Went there for drinks and appetizers and it was good. Everyone was especially friendly. Great atmosphere, lots of space, great location right off the freeway.
google avatar

Amber M.

Yelp
Holy Beers! Lots of local beers, ciders and seltzers on tap! So many choices. You need to order up front at the counter. We sat waiting for about 20 minutes not understanding the drill. The burgers are amazing too.

Yelp
I met with a few friends here on a Thursday at 4:30 We went to check in Got our wristbands and beer glasses to pour our beers . Then proceeded to fill our glasses with beer from the different taps . Each time your wristband activates the tap when you put it on the station . The beverages were all over the place though . Hard to find what I was looking for . Would be easier if all IPas were in one section, ciders in another , Kamboochs all together , anyway just grouping similar types would have been very helpful and saved time . We had to order at same place we checked in since we were sitting in bar area . I had the spinach artichoke dip , it was lacking seasoning , a bit watery too . The beers were really good though /) Around 6 it got really busy and loud and they were playing a game . It sounded like Bingo but I wasn't sure . This was the time we had to go so we went to check out same place . It was $127 before a tip for 3 appetizers and 3 beers . There were 3 of us . There was hardly anyone there . About 30 minutes later people started coming in . It was too loud but we were leading anyway .

Yelp
Sweet little spot to hangout and enjoy your favorite beer. A lot to choose from, taste before you pour your own. It's like going to Yogurtland but it's beer/wine/hard seltzer. You get a bracelet that connects to your tab so when you have chosen your choice of beverage, tap bracelet and pour. Keep going back for more, charged per ounce. Tried the potatoe barrel and are scrumptious. Great music!
google avatar

Elisa G.

Yelp
I don't know why I didn't come here last time I was in Carlsgood but it's really super cool if you like beer (which I don't) but I do like kombucha and they have a few flavors so I got a wristband and went to town! Plus I took some to go! Can't wait to come back here and try the rest! I highly recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is a vibe, I actually personally haven't seen anything like this. You essentially put your card down to get a wristband and you have over 40 beers on tap and a limited selection of non alcoholic drinks. You swipe your wrist band and essentially you pay by what you pour for yourself. This way, you get the pay for only what you drink which I think is very sustainable and great for trying different things. They are indoors and outdoors and the outdoor part has a fireplace, but given it's kind of open in general jackets in wintertime are recommended. Friendly staff.
google avatar

Corina R.

Yelp
This is one of those beer places where you get the wristband and then serve yourself however much you want. I found a couple of really nice beers that I enjoyed. My lunch was fantastic I had the winter harvest salad. My husband had a sandwich that he said it was fantastic and we had some pretzel bites. I would definitely recommend stopping in here for some beer or a snack. It was a little pricey but well worth it
google avatar

Yelp
Outstanding cuisine! Walk in, open a tab, get a bracelet and pour your own beer from well over 50 choices. Seems like a beer lovers dream, right? Every pour can be different in size and type of beer - from tastes to full pours, IPAs to Stouts. They even have choices for the non-beer lovers. The surprise was how good the food was. I did not expect that. We ordered a salmon stacker appetizer, a blue cheese burger (special) and a Cuban. All were excellent! The food came fast, was simply yet well presented and delicious. Barrel Republic is now on my list of great places to go a for good beer, good food and fun times.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been here a few times and because I've been to the location in Oceanside I already know what's going on. I think I like this location better just because of the fire pits. Otherwise is just pay as you go and pour your own beer. The food is pretty good and it looks good too. There's tons of beer options and several wine options oh they may have some ciders too. They have a good burger too which is my go-to when I'm here!
google avatar

Cailey O.

Yelp
Came to Barrel Republic for my birthday with a large group (12 of us). I called the night before and was able to make a reservation. They have a great fire pit table in the back that fits plenty of chairs! The selections were great - I think everyone hit their 40oz pour limit because it was all so yummy! We got the fried pickles and pulled pork sliders to share and they were so tasty. Unfortunately the power went out while we were there, so some of the pouring machines were down after that, but the staff was super helpful in keeping us updated and suggesting other selections to try!
google avatar

Yelp
What a great place for the craft beer aficionado, the hungry kiddo, and the health conscious mom. We arrived here on Tuesday Trivia night and the place was vibing! Staff was friendly and the food was amazing -- we tried the creamy bacon mac and cheese, the garlic pretzel bites and the Mediterranean salad (must try! the lemon tahini dressing on the piled-high bed of veggies was just what perfectly balanced out this salad). Wish they had a Barrel Republic in Henderson NV.
google avatar

Lorena C.

Yelp
They for some reason don't accept chase, and that was the only card I had at the moment. Food was burnt and flavor less. Not worth the money specially since they removed the ghost pepper chips. Won't came back Also staff gave me a weird vibe. And when checking in the host mentioned their policy and emphasize they had to have a card on file or else we'll walk out. But like mentioned they don't take chase
google avatar

Rakhi B.

Yelp
Such a relaxing and cool environment. They have beer, kombucha, wine, coffee, soda, ice tea on tap. You order at the front and give your credit card and they gove u a bracelet that you tap and poor your drink. I had avocado tacos and they were pretty good too. Great sevice and fast.
google avatar

Lexy E.

Yelp
What a fun place! We stopped in on our little bar crawl in Carlsbad. We got our wristbands at the register and were on our way! There were over 40 taps of beer, wine, seltzer, and non alcoholic beverages. We had fun trying a variety of wine and beer. This place is pretty popular as we visited on a Saturday evening. The food looked good too! Highly recommend!
google avatar

Keri B.

Yelp
This is one of our favorite dinner spots in Carlsbad, or anywhere really. We like the open air back room and the taps that surround you. We like tasting lots of beers and ciders before we choose what we'd like to drink. They give you a wristband to swipe at the taps and you pay by the ounce. You order your food at the registers and it is always quick to come out with the service staff being helpful. It's a great spot to sit and catch up with friends and family, or you can sit and face the street and watch people walk by. I love that they always have several ciders on tap. Our son loved the pretzel bites. The Mac & cheese is delicious. We've tried the sliders, pulled pork sliders, and the tacos. Everything has always been delicious. Such a relaxing fun place to dine casually.
google avatar

Yelp
This place was amazing! I've never been here before and I loved the concept and it was really easy to understand and the staff was so cool to walk us through everything and tell us how it's all going down. So many choices to choose from made it so worthwhile. I think the great thing about this is even if you find a beer that you love, you can just have half a glass so that way you have room to try some more beers without getting filled up and wishing you left some room to try more stuff. If you haven't been here before, you need to check it out. I've just discovered that there are a few more of these scattered in Washington and Idaho, but they have very strict limits on how many ounces you can have overall like they are babysitting you, and there's not much staff to help you, etc. So even hearing that makes me so happy that I discovered this place first
google avatar

John F.

Yelp
Walked in and got greeted by the cashier/host right away and placed my order. Got the chicken tacos and potato barrels. The quality of the chicken in the tacos was average, tasted like it wasn't cooked fresh to me. They placed a thick slice of cheese inside the tortilla then placed everything on top of it. The potato barrels were pretty good, a little bit on the oily side though. The service was good and they were playing some cool jams on the speakers. We went there to just grab a bite to eat, but looks like a fun spot to grab a beer and chill with friends.
google avatar

Joriene M.

Yelp
I love a self-pour beer wall and Barrel Republic had a wide variety of great beers. My favorite was the Kentucky Tangerine Cream Ale. I highly recommend going for happy hour (3-6pm) because ~32 oz of beer only cost $14! I'm also going to need to go on a Monday to try their $8 burgers. Plus, the service was great and very friendly.
google avatar

Lysette B.

Yelp
Barrel Republic has been my go to place since moving to Carlsbad. I always bring family and friends when they're visiting and it's a great place to watch sports games! They also have trivia night on Tuesday's and it brings a sense of community to the restaurant. Highly recommend their crispy pickle chips and sliders!
google avatar

Jocelyn R.

Yelp
I love the many different options of beer that they have here. This looks like one of those places that would have delicious loaded tater tots but they don't offer
google avatar

Rudy M.

Yelp
We went here for some football and beers. We ended up showing up right on time for lunch, and ordered the bacon mac and cheese and some fries. Getting beer was easy but they didn't have many of what I particularly like to drink. I drank some and enjoyed just having a beer in general. Definitely come here and try it. Especially if you're a beer guy or gal.
google avatar

Jenna S.

Yelp
We have been twice now and had decent experiences both times. We really enjoy trying all the different beers and being able to take small amounts to try a lot of different ones. The atmosphere is also really nice and not too loud. We had several of their food options and everything was just okay. A bunch of greasy food. I would recommend the pretzel bites and candied bacon pizza out of the food options we tried. The real big downfall about the restaurant is the workers. They all seem gossipy and like to stand around and talk to each other more than helping the customers. I heard this one guy call a girl beautiful in front of us and was following her around, it was really strange.
google avatar

Selin B.

Yelp
Cool vibe inside! Self serve with lots of beer selection and then a few wines, kombuchas, and selzters - all on tap. Rustic inside space with a deck available too. Only tries the "barrel fries" but they were yummy! Deep fried mashed potatoes. One drink and the shareable fries cost $17 so decently priced

Yelp
We went this week for a not so Labor Day birthday celebration (not ours). We originally visited the Oceanside location when it opened, but decided to try the Carlsbad site this night. I love Barrel Republic, the concept of getting carded at the door, obtaining your wristband and taking a personal tasting journey around the restaurant/bar is quite fun. You can even obtain a proper glass for your favorite beverage, alcoholic or not. I remember we loved the food at the other location, but the only reason we didn't return was recalling many things on the menu are fried, which means "good", but not necessarily "good" for you. I was so happy we re-visited the concept again. The beverage choices, here are like, WOW! We started out with the fried potatoes, a pretzel and cheese dip and a really large charcuterie. I can't resist Humbolt Fog cheese anywhere. I still can't believe it took us this long to get here, after passing by many times. Ok, back to the beverages. I had three; a wine, a cider and a beer. The Pinot Noir was from Oregon, totally delightful, the MarionBerry Cider, also from my beloved beverage country of Oregon, but residing in DC half my life, I got a kick out of the name of the infamous mayor. I normally like wine, then cider over a beer, but I have a few beers I love and this one took the prize of the night, the White Russian Vanilla Stout for the win, even the DUDE would be proud! Another laugh of the evening. The Dude would totally drink this. The birthday boy had a half price burger and the house cut fries and they looked perfectly cut and cooked. The husband had the Thai Peanut Salad and was the designated driver who enjoyed a non-alcoholic beverage. A simple, order at the counter, select your drinks for your stay, plenty of indoor and open air seating, spread out nicely. I prefer this location over Oceanside due to the layout and you can't go wrong with anything you order here...go with your gang. Oh, and the chocolate plate...this is something else to get excited about. In the words of the Andrew Sisters: Roll out the barrel! We'll have a barrel of fun @barrelrepublic Soon to roll out another location in Old Town Temecula. #Carlsbad #BarrelRepublic #OregonPinot #MarionBerryCider #WhiteRussianVanillaStout #RollOuttheBarrel

Yelp
This is a fun place for beer drinkers. Getting to try different beers without committing to a whole glass is great! Quite a selection to choose from. My husband enjoyed the Holy Cannoli, an Imperial Porter with slight cinnamon flavor. I also had the cold brew coffee, which was really excellent. I wish I had ordered tacos, as they were the best. Carnitas, really good. Shrimp had large shrimp, a surprise, but they were a hair undercooked. Not scary make you sick, but still undercooked. Both tacos really flavorful. I had the Thai salad with grilled chicken, not quite as successful The chicken was dry, didn't love the dressing, but the greens and vegs were good.
google avatar

Edgar C.

Yelp
Great selection of beer! It's a good thing they cut me off! Awesome food as well. Must Go! You are only cheating yourself if you don't.
google avatar

Eric C.

Yelp
Food is good and the place is cool and staff is great but the music sucks and the volume is so uncomfortably loud that we can't have a conversation on the table between friends! Bummer!
google avatar

Heather R.

Yelp
Cool concept. Got to try a bunch of beers for a cheap price. It's a pour your own. I only went for the beer but the food looked good. Very friendly staff.
google avatar

Julia R.

Yelp
Barrel republic is an amazing concept: pour your own beer! And they have so much more than just beer... beer, wine, kombucha, mead, sangria, cider! it allows you to taste various beverages, without buying full glasses. Everything is tracked on a little bracelet. I've also been craving their bbq bacon flatbread! It is so good! this is a fun spot whether you wanna get together with a large group of people, or just try a couple drinks. I love the vibe and the atmosphere here
google avatar

Pete T.

Yelp
Barrel Republic is still one of our favorite spots when we visit Carlsbad. Such a great concept for sampling different beers. They have 52 taps that they rotate beers in and out of. Also six wine taps for your sipping pleasure. It is not just the beer and wine, Barrel republic is plating some delicious food also. CANDIED BACON FLATBREAD ($14.50) brown sugar crusted bacon, bacon aioli, smoked gouda, smoked BBQ sauce, fresh tomato, red onion, and cider vinegar spritz. C'mon. This was stupid good. Salty bacon with the sweet of the brown sugar, what a combination! All of those fresh, housemade ingredients piled atop an excellently crusted flatbread. So good! CHICKEN WINGS: ($15.50) We chose classic buffalo. Other choices were hickory BBQ or garlic butter. Not all wings are created equal. These maybe weren't the best ever, but superior to most. The buffalo sauce carried just the right kick and the bleu cheese was excellent. So come to Barrel Republic for the beer and wine, stay for the food.
google avatar

Hannah N.

Yelp
I ventured up to North County and decided to check out the Barrel Republic up there. I had a couple adventures at the Pacific Beach location prior and was excited to see they had other locations. This definitely a loud spot, we could barely hear each others conversation but it is overall a fun experience to check out, especially if you are wanting to try out multiple different beers.
google avatar

Lorena P.

Yelp
"Don't Tread on Me" flag at this restaurant. No Thanks. Wasn't good food or service to begin with. To be so outright racist in our community is not ok.
google avatar

Kristine T.

Yelp
Stopped by last night so we could watch the final four game. It was not too packed when we came so it was easy to get seated. SERVICE - The hostess was SO NICE! She asked if we had been before and we said no so she gave us the rundown of the place. She was so energetic and friendly. It was a pour it yourself type of place. You have a wristband and once you scan for what beer you want, you pour away. They charged you by ounces. There were A LOT of options on tap from beer, wine, ciders, and even non alcoholic beverages. I'm not a drinker but the concept was so cool! My husband was able to try everything and he enjoyed the variety and options they offered. Even though it was a self serve restaurant, the employees came around and were really helpful. Asked if we needed anything. Always picked up our empty glasses. FOOD Garlic Pretzel Bites - These came dripping in butter and garlic. Packed full of flavor but the inside of the bread was on the dry side. The cheese sauce with it was tasty though. Crispy Avocado Grilled Cheese - There was a lot going on with this sandwich but it definitely did not lack flavor. Only thing about it was the bread was so hard! There is crispy and there is hard and this was incredibly hard and tough to eat. Pulled Pork Sliders - These were pretty standard. Meat was moist and they had a good bbq flavor. Service and concept here were great! Food was subpar. We would only come back for drinks, not food.

Yelp
Pouring your own beer ain't a bad idea. First time trying and was hooked. You can pour a small sample and try before getting the full pour. The bracelet you get is linked with your card on file. I'd definitely return and try more of their selections since they change. They have many options as well as seltzers and wine too.
google avatar

Jennie N.

Yelp
It's always a fun time here. The place is massive, but sometimes on weekends and during busy hours, it can be hard to find a spot if you are with a large group. I always order their Cubano sandwich and I am never disappointed by it. I like the idea of paying by the ounce, that way you can try and decide what you like before committing to it.

Yelp
GET. THE. SMORES! OMG BEST THING EVER. the food was good. The beer was great. Trivia night was fun but omg the smores!!!
google avatar

Jack W.

Yelp
Had higher expectations, location was OK. This location is not recommended however. Food was below avg and very overpriced- this included chicken wings that had little meat and were chewy. Beer was really a poor selection and IPA heavy, but even at that really no good IPAs at that. Beer prices end up being higher then the avg. management and ownership is very poor- had a conversation about an obviously skunky keg and owner was rude, unhelpful, and lacked any form of customer service or interaction skills. Too many much better options near here to visit barrel republic. Yu

Yelp
This pub is huge and has a cute heated patio area in the back. I would only eat here again on a Monday when they have the 2 "Barrel Burgers" (cheeseburger special with fries for $8! On any other day they give you 1 cheeseburger with fries for...got this...$17.50!!! Now that is outrageous anywhere! The alcohol self pours add up really quickly and they tend to be overpriced, in my opinion. The burger was mediocre. Let's just say In n Out's burgers are 10x better! Even Burger King's burgers are better!! My father got a turkey sandwich and it was the most plain sandwich I had ever seen, boring and overpriced. Their truffle fries are thick and not that good. Pros: Staff is nice and easy to talk to and decent ambience. Their stouts and ports are delicious. They also have some natural non-alcoholic tea beverages that are interesting. I would recommend going during the evening and just go for the alcohol. That's the best tasting stuff.

Yelp
My review is purely based on the beer and method to obtain it. I did not try the food. This is a unique take on a brewpub. They have 30+ beers on tap and it is self-service, which is a wonderful idea. You can taste each beer without feeling guilty about asking a bartender or waiter for tasters. You simply drop a credit card off and get a wristband. The wristband tracks how much you pour and all beers are charged based on the amount you pour. So while you do end up paying for the tastings, it's not a big deal. I wish there were more places like this around.

Yelp
This is definitely a unique spot to grab a drink and a bite. It's a self-serve bar. They give you a wristband and the taps are located throughout the bar. They have a wide variety of beer and wine. The menu isn't especially big, but we were pleased with the food we ordered. I had a very good turkey sandwich, my wife had a salad and pretzel bites. Although, the pretzel bites or more like bread/rolls, but they are very good. Just don't expect a pretzel taste. A very open seating arrangement including an open air area to sit. There is a farmers market on the street once a week, that would be a great time to try this place out. Definitely recommend it! If we are ever back in Carlsbad, we will try this place again.

Yelp
Very cool place. I wasn't sure I would enjoy pouring my own drinks but turns out I'm like a kid in a candy store. The beauty of it is you meet people with a common interest and everyone has a suggestion. They had a San Diego brewer collaboration on for beer week that was my favorite right up until it ran out. But not to worry, with 50+ taps it was easy to find another favorite. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
This place is a self pour place and huge area to sit down in. I'm an IPA guy and out the many beers they have couldn't find any that tasted any good
