Barrels & Stills Wines and Spirits

I do tasting events at this establishment every few months. They have a decent selection of spirits and wines at reasonable prices, although I wouldn't say they're the cheapest around. The staff is a father and his son and daughter. They're sweet, but not outwardly friendly. Since my job makes me quite familiar with a slew of liquor stores on LI, with all the options around I wouldn't rate this place high on the list, but if you're traveling down 110 and it's a convenient stop, then it's worth your while.

Beware of new owners. I recently bought two bottles of wine. When I opened the first one it was obviously turned. When I tried to return the unopened bottle of the same make they refused, I had just purchased them only 24 hours before. They were very rude as well. I was a loyal customer with the old owners. They were fair priced and decent. I will never go back there again.

EXPIRED wine and NO refund or exchange! Disgusting! I have been shopping here monthly for YEARS!! And I just tried to return/exchange 2 expired products and the young girl argued with me for 1/2 an hour! Zero customer service, very disappointing because I have been coming here for years. They gave me a new box of wine ALSO EXPIRED. So disappointed will DEFINITELY be shopping elsewhere!!!

ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Called to see about a very expensive bottle of wine , which I ALWAYS get from them, and the woman said the manager is not there and hung up on me! Get better workers because you are losing money!

Spent almost $800 in wine and liquor gift sets for clients and I asked for Silver filler bags with the strings and wanted to charge me $1.50 for each and was very rude. They will not get my business again. Spend your money somewhere else where they value you as a customer.

I just came to this place and they have a very limited selection of wines and overpriced. Also the people behind the counter was rude. My suggestion will be skip it, there are many more liquor stores in the area.

Good wine selection but I'm more of a whiskey guy. They have a decent selection of whiskey but definitely not the place to look for deals or bargain buys.

We shop here now and then and the last time there we needed a bottle opener, they didn't have any for sale but the one clerk took one off of his key chain and offered it to us. Now that's great service!

This has been my liquor/wine spot of choice since many other places have either been closed, or not had great service in picking up spirits. During Coronavirus time, they have created an intricate system of helping customers get what they need. This included a wooden barrier with a hole to speak into, a rotating wooden delivery system that you can put payment into, and after they process will give it back to you with the items you choose. They are in good spirits, and will help you choose what you need. They wear gloves and masks, and speak to you over the speaker system they have created. I found my High West Campfire here, as well as the other wines we needed to stock. However, a few more times after coming in, the service has been rude to me, and scolded me for lingering too long, and also I have found other places with better prices around the area.

Wow!!! This place is AMAZING! They have the BEST Prices on any liquor! When they quoted me the bottle of Johny Walker Blue and Grey Goose Magnum over the phone, I was in disbelief. I thought the woman just started working there and was making a mistake. When I got there, sure enough, the JW Blue was $50 cheaper than all the stores around me.... the Grey Goose was cheaper than the prices I paid over 20 years ago when I started drinking it! Even the wines were on average 25% less than what all others charged. I was shocked because the store was so nice and they were very professional. I felt like I was getting it for less than distributors charge. They were so nice and even made sure they helped me carry the boxes to the car even though I told them I'm right out front and will come right back. I will get everything from this store going forward!

Beware there are new owners in this store. I decided to buy a bottle of bourbon it was marked $35 when I went to the register they rang it up $75. I questioned them on the total amount & they told me it was marked wrong. Fine, they apologized so I picked out another bottle of bourbon that was also marked $35. Being distracted and chatting with the new owners, I paid for the new bottle & upon coming home I realized they charged me $39. I went back the next day, showed them the receipt, explained the error , being apologetic again unlike last time they honored the marked price and credited my account the difference. Just a warning check the prices when they scan in your bottles before you pay.

Are you tired of walking into a liquor store and getting rushed or surly service (when you can even find the guys!)? I was! After trying several different liquor stores in my neighborhood & being annoyed at giving my money to folks who treated me like crap or like i was invisible, I decided to take a chance on Barrels & Stills. SO GLAD I DID! And so are my friends! Prices are extremely good. If you know your prices well, you will immediately see that their prices are typically $2 cheaper per bottle than everywhere else. But what makes that even more attractive?.... SERVICE! When you walk in, you're greeted in a friendly & nice (but not follow-you-around) way, and when you ask questions you are given knowledgeable advice on characteristics of the beverage, suggestions at different price points, and even what that might go well with it if you're cooking that night. They even had a cool wine-tasting even the other night! Put out cheese, crackers, fruit, etc - and had about 20 different wines, plus more liquors, for you to try. i brought 2 friends and made a little party out of it - they were thrilled at the prices (oh yeah, every wine we sampled was an additional $2 off that night!) and the upscale wines that were featured. I was thrilled because they also had amazing $10 cotes du rhones and a fantastic $8 prosecco (i'm a champagne & caviar kind of girl on a Recession Budget these days!) So if you want to feel like a valued human being again when shopping for your liquor cabinet, or you want to expand your horizons with some knowledgeable suggestions, and all at a good dollar value, try this place!

I just love these guys and this is my go to liquor store! I'm an avid tequila connoisseur so I'm always on the hunt for a quality tequila selection and this place has it. And when they haven't, they have happily ordered what I've asked for and have kept it on hand. The guys are also very knowledgable about the newer liquors on the market and always stock the harder to find vodkas like Figenza. One fun little gem is when they have tasting events in the store and if you give them your email, they let you know about their events that are coming up. I've walked in on a few tastings and as a result have walked out with new spirits to add to my home bar collection. Great wine selection too!

Very nice store, large assortment of wines, very nice customer service. They leave you alone and let you wander the store searching out new items.

They have changed ownership and they are awful. I bought two bottles of the same wine and it was turned and when I tried to return the remaining unopened bottle they refused to and were totally rude and unprofessional. Buyer beware. I left the unopened bottle with them and I would not be surprised if they put it back on the shelf.

This place is awesome and the staff is friendly and helpful. And if they don't have something they will order it and you will have it the next day. I have many liquor store by my house but I prefer to go here for the great service.

K and Raj are amazing shop owners. I dropped by to see if they carried Triple 8 vodka. A boutique brand I had tried out of state. While the did not stock this brand they were more than happy to place a small order so I could get my new favorite drink. Thank you.

BEST liquor store around, glad they came to the neighborhood. Everyone there is amazingly nice and super helpful when it comes to needing to find just the right alcohol. To top it off they're prices are great especially compared to other around the area liquor stores.

There are about a thousand liquor stores on Long Island and the only thing that separates them, besides a few of dollars, is the friendliness and knowledge of the people that work there and the variety that they offer. I can honestly say that the first time I visited Barrels & Stills it was because of convenience. They are located pretty close to my home, right on Route 110, so it was a no brainer. I have been back many times since this first visit and all I can say is that Raj and K, the two owners, are both extremely friendly, helpful and smart and best of all, they do not push you too buy expensive items just because they are expensive. If you want their advise, they will ask you a price range and then they will select the very best values for you. There are plenty of larger, commercial liquor stores that you can visit, however, bottle for bottle I would be happy to put B & S against all of them. Visit the store once and you will be back.

We recently moved to the area and I was having a hard time finding the wine that I love. A neighbor directed us to Barrels and Stills. When we walked in the door, we were given a friendly greeting and asked if we needed help. I explained that I couldn't find my wine and while they they didn't have it in stock, Raj ordered it for me and has kept it in stock for me ever since! They're prices are unbeatable, and the customer service is second to none! We've also attended several wine tastings there and walked away with some very nice wines at very nice prices. No matter if you are shopping for a $100 bottle of wine or a $10 bottle of wine, you will always be given great, friendly service and they will remember you! You really can't ask for more than you will get here!

Probably the best liquor store in the area. Good (not great) prices and the staff is super-friendly, and knowledgeable. And the service... How is this for service? I recently was looking for recommendation for a vermouth to make a vodka martini. I have always used Cinzano, but went with the recommendation from one of the staff. To my dismay, I did not care for the recommendation. But also to my surprise (and gratitude) they let me exchange the bottle for my preferred brand. I have been going to liquor stores for over twenty years and have never been able to return an open bottle before. Many thanks to the staff. As a long time and loyal customer I really appreciated that level service.

Purchased 2 bottles of whiskey. Owner out in one small 3 inch divider between the bottles. Got it home and one bottle was split at the bottom and spilt. Should have put in a divider that was longer. Instead he put in a small 3 inch divider. He might have made a sale this time but he lost any repeat business from me or my friends.

Great store with a great selection of wines. If you dont see it they will order it on the spot. Great prices and a small town feeling. They match all prices here.

This is an awesome liquor store. The staff is so helpful and like others have said they ordered over night a specific bottle of wine i needed for a Christmas present. I can say enough good things about the store the location and the super helpful staff. great place
