They have good award-winning brews! I love the Family Tradition Vienna Lager. The beertender was friendly. Very cool ambiance.

Great selection of light beers. I wanted to try the whole tap list but settled for 2 different pilsners. There’s a unique vending machine outside with plenty of one-off or mystery items for kids and adults.

Great chill, welcoming vibe. Nice mellow music. And outdoor space. The beer tender very knowledgeable, weekly Trivia and other assorted events. My favorite beer, 5th Year Triple Blend Porter. Absolutely delicious!

I do like their lagers. Most of them. Other styles not so much. And pretzel was bad (microwave edition)

We attended an event there, a brunch and it was very nice. There was plenty of seating, indoors and outdoors. And we enjoyed the beer also.

This place is a nice spot to enjoy a tasty beer. We visited for the first time last month because of the PubPass Beer Passport. It was a wonderful introduction to a place we may not have visited before. The beers were cold and flavorful. The atmosphere was great. Nice interior and outdoor patio space. Andrew was really nice and knowledgeable and overall it was a great experience.

By far one of my favorite breweries in Tampa. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The beer is fantastic. I’ve watch them grow over the years and the outdoor space is my favorite addition. Our dog loved coming on a Sunday and listening to the live music. Loved this spot so much we even had our wedding here. Wonderful overall experience planning it and I loved sharing this spot with all my friends and family. If you’re thinking about having an even here, I can’t recommend it enough. I love you guys, you’re like family.

Dear Jim Barrie I'm writing to formally express my concern regarding an experience I had at your establishment involving a bartender named Cory, who I understand is also the Tap Room Manager. During my visit, Cory told me, "Sorry to kick you out, but this event is for a special event." I found this approach to be unprofessional and disrespectful. I was not made aware that the area or event was private prior to being asked to leave, and the way it was communicated felt dismissive and unwelcoming. As a paying customer who has enjoyed your venue in the past, I expected a more courteous and clear explanation--one that respected my presence and offered a more professional tone. I hope you'll take this feedback seriously and work with your staff to ensure that all guests are treated with respect, even during special events.

Okay, Barriehaus, you got my attention. Every time I visit Tampa, I visit you. This last time though, the vibe was not right. Maybe you have outgrown me. In any case, you stopped doing flights. Not sure why, but you may have lost a customer. Because although, I don't live in Tampa, I have been loyal. Just felt unwanted this last visit. So unfortunate.

Love the atmosphere here and the beer! The outdoor patio is big and they have a good selection of beers. Lots of beers that you can grab to-go and they have some board games. They don't do beer samples but you can do half pours or full pours. Didn't try their food but they have a few items on their menu.

This has been on our list. Try for a couple of months now and we found ourselves back in the Tampa area which provided the perfect opportunity to check it out. We arrived around 4 o'clock on a Friday afternoon and the location was fairly steady with what clearly were regulars. we were able to find a hightop table near the back inside as it was rather hot outside. There is no table service so you walk up to the bar to order your beer and they had a good selection to choose from. My husband got the Kling (light and crisp) and he really enjoyed it! I opted for a flight with the "here's your f***ing hefe" (Hefenweisen), tampa tubesday, zitrone, and their 4th anniversary barrel aged port beer. I loved all of them!! Be careful with that barrel aged - 11.4% abv! :) The bartending staff was quick and friendly. There is not a parking lot attached to the location itself, but there is one across the street beside the train tracks on the other side of the gated apartment parking lot.

The atmosphere is very warm and casual, with great European lagers and ales. Will definitely visit again!

While doing some brewery research on Tampa, I came across some information about Barriehaus. While seeing a friends play nearby, I finally got the chance to try it. And OMG, is this good. I will say before raving that this is not a brewery for everyone. There are no fruited sours, hazy IPAs, or Pastry Stouts in the mix. This is lager country, so you will find beer flavored beer here. But man is it good. After finding this spot, I took my Nashville drinking buddy here and he raved it was the best Pils he ever had in his life. Justin, from Roundtrip in Atlanta, asked where to go in Tampa. I told him Barriehaus. After the experience, he said he is considering moving to Tampa just for this brewery. If you like the lager styles, this is your spot. If you go, there is free parking right next to the train tracks across the street. Drive up Avenida Repu;lbica de Cuba half a block and turn right into the lot.

Beer was very tasty, and the brewery was packed on a Sunday afternoon. Children were having fun petting the baby goats, and the adults were enjoying the German music and their beverages. It was necessary to stand in line at the bar to buy your beer, but the line moved relatively quickly. It was a one and done afternoon. They do have a tiny offsite parking lot that we were able to get a spot after numerous drive throughs.

Went here recently on our Pub Pass. What a great little German style pub/ brewery. Our server was very knowledgeable about the beer she was serving and quickly had us enjoying some great beer. We were able to try a few seasonal ales and a beautiful German pretzel. Overall we certainly would come back here again and would recommend it if you like German beer.

Of the 9 breweries we visited in the Tampa area, we saved the best for last. As the name would suggest, definitely has a traditional, German beer hall type vibe which I LOVE. The tap list consisted of slow pours, pilsners, kolschs, dunkels, etc. YES PLEASE! We came on a slow Monday evening and had a great time chatting with the staff. The beers were fantastic and we were bummed that we wouldn't be back for all of their 12 Days of Beermas releases. If traditional styles are your vibe, definitely recommend checking this place out!

Great European lagers. They have things to eat but not huge entrees. Just things to munch on while drinking beer. Inside and outside seating available. Located in Unit close to main road. Would recommend.

Terrific beers in a nice cool indoor spot with soccer on the tv. Enjoyed the boiled peanuts, not as spicy as advertised, but quick to come out and prompts a fresh Bublina Pilsner.

A great place to check out if you're in Ybor! We have been there a few times when visiting some friends. They have a great beer selection and the huge pretzel is a must have!! Right now they are getting ready for Oktoberfest so if you can stop by for that event then do it. I got a lemonade because we had a lot to drink over the weekend lol. My partner got a lager. There's plenty of seating inside and they had live music which was nice. They also have outdoor seating and games.

My first time at BarrieHaus Beer Co. The staff was cool and service was great. Plenty of seating inside and outside. I arrived later in the evening so time was limited. Thank you for taking the time for recommendations! I'm looking forward to my next visit. I was thirsty and forgot to take pictures. - Big Pluckin Pils. First drink choice because of the name. Not too heavy, with a nice crisp. Exactly what I was looking for to quench my thirst. - Next, Ottimo! Another nice thirst quencher for a hot day/night. A other pilsner that didn't disappoint. - Colonel Maize - awesome Lager. good choice for the summer heat with a bit more body. Nice flavor to end the night at BarrieHaus.

Easily my favorite brewery during my visit to Tampa, and handily my favorite brewery in the state. The focus here is on cold-fermented lagers (as opposed to warm-fermented ales), which isn't every common for a craft brewery. Even fewer of those are doing unique, dare I say "crafty" takes on lagers. Most tend to brew stuffy European styles of lager in traditional ways, without trying to do anything new or unique. I had flight of 4 beers, and all 3 were incredible. My favorite was just the regular 'ol Cold IPA (rather than the two double Cold IPAs), I'm not sure what hops it was brewed with, but the nose on it was incredible! If you're not into cutting-edge lagers, they do have old world favorites like helles and pilsner, and they are also done incredibly well! A must-visit if you're in Tampa and you are a beer nerd!

Stopped by and grabbed a 4 pack of the Endless zest. The ambiance is pretty cool I would compare it to a study meets an industrial warehouse with enough TVs to be considered a sports bar. Not to offend but one may compare it to a more tasty and hoppy Bud Light Orange. You can definitely taste the citrus but not overwhelmingly acidic. Will come back for the Hefe.

Absolutely recommend coming here! The staff were super friendly and helpful, the beer list is long with European style beers, flights are offered, there's indoor and outdoor seating, and dogs are allowed outside! They serve huge pretzels with beer cheese and mustard, if you get hungry.

We stumbled upon this brewery and we were pleasantly surprised. They focus on core German beer styles without using a bunch of adjuncts. The beer is tasty and they have a nice vibe. Check them out.

While I was at another brewery and visiting the Ybor City area, I found this brewery. It was off the beaten path. I decided to take a gander and noticed that the area was a bit shady and continue to walk, and happy I found this brewery. I arrived and the place was lit up on a Monday. Which is rare from Pittsburgh, PA area where no breweries are open on Monday. I arrived and reviewed the different beers that they had available. I tried 4 different beers and damn, they were all very good beers, but my favorite was the smoked bock, omg it was so damn good. Evan was the one person working and he told me a bit of brief history of the brewery. I ask all breweries as I like to learn the history. He mentioned that this brewery was unique as the owners were from Detroit, and he stated that he had a great great great grandfather who was a brewer in the 18th century, so he didn't know that it was in his roots at first. The owner was a home brewer for years. I've been to 6 breweries in Tampa area and this one is my favorite that I've visited. All the beers were great. Evan was absolutely awesome.. The atmosphere, beer and everything was right on. I'll be traveling in the area again from Pittsburgh, PA in a week with my family, and I want them to stop and try this place out, it absolutely rocks. Best brewery in Tampa, hands down.

We do an after party every year for the Countdown improv festival here and it's AAAAAMAZING!! Evan is a wonderful lead server who serves up great beers and a selection of great wines! I will always come back here every year

The BarrieHaus caught my eye because it's a brewery specific to the best beer makers in the world, Germany. This spot offers a cool, relaxed environment with good beer. My fiancé and I were spending the evening in Ybor with dinner and then checking out a few spots for drinks. I had been wanting to go here since I heard about them but Covid threw wrenches in everyone's plans. One thing of note is that this brewery is off the beaten path of Ybor. Walking down dark 5th Avenue, the twinkling of the outside biergarten lights draw you in. We walked into the tap room and looked over the menu. The guy behind the bar was friendly and greeted us. I chose the German Pilsner and my fiancé went with a Radler. The drinks were top notch. The pilsner was crisp and went down easy. The Radler my fiancé got was good as well. The half-beer, half-lemonade was sweet and refreshing. They had food available here as well but we didn't try it on this visit. Before we left, we walked around a little inside to check things out. They have a little viewing area where you can see the brewing tank which is pretty cool. They also have some pictures up showing their history and progress through the years. The BarrieHaus is a place I want to go back to and I think you should check it out too.

We came here to check it out for the first time and I had noticed from photos that they had a TV so figured they would have the Michigan/Michigan State game on. Happy to see we were the only people there so the TV was all mine!!! This place focuses on lagers so not too much for me personally but Ben likes them and they did have a mix of a lager and a lemonade that was really good. They also have a nice patio area to enjoy.

Great little off-the-beaten-path brewery in Ybor. I only discovered it because a food truck I've been stalking had a planned appearance here. I parked on the street next to the place, but it would be an easy walk from the nearby parking garage. They open at noon on Sundays, so while I waited for my food to be ready, I went inside. They've removed some tables inside, so it is easy to social distance. I sat at the bar and had a drink. I'm not a huge beer fan, and they didn't carry any ciders, but they did have a Radler option, which is a combo of beer and lemonade, and I really enjoyed it. I love that they make their own lemonade. The place is clean and bright, with friendly service, and I think it would be a great spot to hang out with friends. Plus, with three televisions and Lightning paraphernalia on the walls, this probably would be a great spot to catch a hockey game.

So can you imagine opening a new business then bam! F$?&ing COVID hits?! I have waited to write my review because Barriehaus has really risen to the occasion. After months of mandated shut down, to survive and thrive, they have added light bites to the game and are open again!! Which are actually delicious too btw. The beer is tremendously, brilliantly, spectacularly good. Anyone who is a lager drinker will appreciate the nuances of the beer at Barriehaus. The atmosphere is easygoing and inviting. The large outdoor space is covered!!! This is a quickly becoming the locals brewery and favorite spot. It's not pretentious. It's just damn good beer.

I heard lots of good things when I asked around about breweries in Tampa, and I heard countless compliments of BarrieHaus. All of those compliments lived up to the hype! The inside was very nice and had great vibes, but the outside really shines for sure! There is great outdoor seating, especially on a nice sunny Saturday during the day! There is an expansive list of beers on tap, you can find pretty much any option that suits your palate. There is also a bunch of canned brews ready to go already cold in a fridge, and the staff even offered to can something for me when I asked if there was more available to go. We had the "Endless Zest" it was very refreshing, sweet, and very well balanced, we were very impressed!!

This place rocks! I was in town in October for a weekend-long event, and BarrieHaus hosted the afterparty each night. I'm so glad it was our nightly base because it was fantastic. I'm not a huge beer drinker, but there were a ton of options for me--some on tap--including wine and cider. The staff is clearly very passionate about beer because they would have long conversations with everyone about brewing and taste profiles and their preferences. They also have fantastic food. They had cubanos and wings and massive soft pretzels (with the best mustard sauce) for us. BarrieHaus also has a great covered patio with plenty of tables and music and games. It's just a great atmosphere.

FINALLY, a craft brewery that specializes in lager beer!!! My friend and I loved it so much we each ordered 2 flights so we could try almost everything. Most breweries I've been to offer a wide array of IPAs, which are too hoppy for my liking. Katie was our bartender and guided us through their brews perfectly. I can't wait to go back!

Cool brewery in Ybor city to go for craft beer. Great place with a center bar and large community tables and smaller tables in the tasting room. Went on a Wednesday when they were doing trivia. It was a great vibe and the host was fantastic. Friendly staff and service. They have many different beer styles here. I had the Here's your F*!$ing Hazy: a hazy IPA which was true to the style and very tasty. My friend had the Family Tradition: Vienna lager which was also true to the style. Parking around the brewery, they are closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

WE LOVE BARRIEHAUS! One of our monthly highlights is stopping in for the Loko Cuisine Pop-up brunch on the third Sunday of every month. Between the two of us, we have tasted most of the beers and they are delicious! I tried the Hefeweizen tonight for the first time and loved it. My friend who I met up with enjoyed the Tampa Export. Tonight I had the pleasure of tasting their food options, their Cuban and Pretzel. The pretzel was so HUGE that we were able to split it between the four of us. The Cuban had a different flavor to it, and I enjoyed its originality. BH is smart to keep it simple and only offer two items. Junbae, can we maybe get pizza as a future option? The owners and staff, I can't say enough about. Jim, Junbae, Brittany are ALWAYS so friendly. Evan ALWAYS puts a smile on my face and has such a great vibe about him. Kate and the rest of the staff are ALWAYS such a pleasure to deal with. There is outside patio seating for patrons and their furry friends. I also love that Barriehaus is located away from 7th Avenue so there is always ample parking when we visit. I highly recommend Barriehaus. You can't go wrong with their great beers, great service, and great ambiance.

Best brewery in Tampa for us. We love it here. They have a great selection of beer, all very good, full of flavor. We had Aaron for a bartender and he's awesome. Super cool guy and great conversation. They have a decent size indoor area and a great outdoor area if you want to hang outside. All kept very clean. If Aaron wasn't pouring beer, he was cleaning. Very impressive.

I don't drink as many Hefeweizens as my hubs, but theirs really hit the spot after I tried my hubs. The Hefeweizen is the right amount of sweetness with the perfect amount of fruity aromas, so it's not bitter and so easy to go down - LOVED it! I prefer a Stout or Porter and they have a limited selection - only one. It's OK because Lagers are their specialty and my fav. is prob. their Tampa Export. They even have a drink called "Radler" - beer mixed with homemade Lemonade - a great combo that my friend enjoyed previously as well as Slow Pour beers with a foam top - very unique offerings! They just got astroturf in their Biergarden and it adds a pop of greenery. Parking still isn't an issue even though this place is located in a lesser known area of Ybor. Shoutout to Evan for serving my hubs and I. Also, to Junbae for helping to make sure we were signed you properly to get our vaccine at a popup event they hosted. The customer service is awesome & I hope to be able to try the Korean food truck next time!

BarrieHaus was an amazing place to hold a Cannabis event! I recently attending the Green Carpet Networking event ran by the Florida Cannabis Coalition and had a great time. Open floor plan with a good amount of seating indoors and out, I never felt like I was lost or had nowhere to go. Some paid parking surrounded the bar, which was nice there was at least availability. We grabbed some beer with a wide selection on tap, I enjoyed the Radler while he enjoyed a citrus beer with a silly name that I can't remember. The staff was more than friendly and accommodating, and they didn't hassle us about smoking legally outside either which was a breath of fresh air given what we were there to support! I hope to come back in the future for another event, and thank you again to BarrieHaus for being accommodating to us Cannabis folk!

The water was solid. It was approximately room temperature. It could have been colder to make it more satisfying. It comes in a tall glass at a self-serve station.

Sometimes you walk into a new place and immediately feel good vibes. This is one of those places! Beautiful and clean inside with lots of charm and the brewery equipment also visible (and so clean). The menu is easy to navigate on the massive tap wall, they will also give samples of anything if you have a question as to strength, taste or specific notes. You can go wrong with the Tampa Export or the Dunkel! Beer fans delight, Barriehaus specializes in lagers and have really taken their time to perfect them. The inside has plenty of tables and space to gran a seat and there is also a huge outdoor space that's both covered and open. Furry friends are welcome outside and there is water on tap for them too! I absolutely love the atmosphere and beer here, it's being added to the top of the rotation! Awesome new Tampa sp

Very good beer. They seem to specialize in foreign beer types like Mexican, German, Check Republic, etc... but it is all very good. This would be a 5 star review if it weren't for the wine prices. My wife prefers wine and they charge $14/glass for wine you can get at Publix for $12/bottle. My recommendation is to stick to the beer.

Let me start by saying that I have been to a LOT of breweries (both domestic and international), and the beer here at Barriehaus is some of the best I've had. I only got to try a few, but both the Radler and the Family Tradition Vienna Lager were incredible. Also, this location is so unique in that they can do slow pours and let you compare them to a normal pour (less bubbles, more flavor). For any true brew connoisseur, I would highly recommend stopping by if you're in Tampa (specifically the cute town of Ybor).

I was beyond excited to see Beret House open in our neighborhood as it has become so hard to find good, quality Berets at most retailers. I ended up with a great new Beret at a fair price. Would highly recommend!

Hands down a fav place of mine in Tampa. It's a great brewery, but it's just a nice spot with indoor or outdoor seating and everyone that works there is just so nice! Definitely check this place out Next time you're in Ybor, or make a special trip just to check out BarrieHaus!

A must-visit local brewery in the Tampa area! I came to BarrieHaus with some friends for some beers and to hang out on a Saturday. It was not super crowded but tables were full and it was a fun vibe. My friends and I were able to grab a table and some beers. I'm a big fan of Citrusitas for a fruity beer! I also got their Cuban sandwich as a savory treat. It was a delicious sandwich that pairs well with their beer. It's also a bonus that BarrieHaus is owned by some Florida Gators! A must visit if you're in Ybor!

Visited the taproom earlier today, killer selection of lagers. Keeping the old school beer traditions alive! Aaron was super friendly, highly recommend checking out this spot!

Great beers and vibes! Came on a Thursday night. Was really slow but they said it gets busy on weekends! Parking was confusing but as long as you park on the left side you should be fine and won't have to pay. There is a big lot in front for parking that was $10 the night as well. I ordered two beers, one with citrus honey (really light!) and another that had a strong note but a good wheat. They also had games to play as well! Great low key place for drinks for a date or friends gathering!

This place does beer justice. They don't overcomplicate and the result is near perfection. I haven't had a bad beer here. Tasteful decor inside and a spacious outdoor area. Need to come back with friends so I can play some corn hole. Bartender has been great both times I've been so far!

Great local Tampa brewery. They specialize is lagers which is perfect for the hot Florida weather. Their spot is well laid out and designed with a fenced in and shady patio. Every time we've been the beer has been wonderful and the people extremely nice. Definitely recommend!

During these Covid times it doesn't go in noticed how clean this place is! Everyone is wearing masks, hand sanitizer everywhere and tables I way more than 6 feet apart. Outside seating is really cute and fans to help keep you cool. Staff is awesome, really attentive, excellent service. The shuttle cock was bomb!

Great brewery with awesome beers. Sweet environment and incredibly personable owners! We've been a few times already since they've opened and it's been great every time. Visit and try the Tampa Export or Prenup!
