Barrio Burger

Honestly, a completely hidden gem. This is one of the best burgers I've ever eaten, and I just lucked upon finding! Beef is juicy and cooked perfectly, the bun is soft and buttery. Also make sure you get the mac and cheese, probably one of the best Mac and cheeses I've ever had! Do not hesitate to order a burger here!

Typing this before I've finished eating. BARRIO BURGER is so, so ,SO good. The flavor is like fancy backyard BBQ, the bun was perfectly Crispy, and they have the amazing Crispy seasoned fries. 10/10 and added to my regular burger rotation. The staff is so sweet and helpful. Clean establishment, and close enough to PETCO and Wickes West to enjoy before a padres game/event!

These are probably some of the best burgers I’ve ever had! The patties were flavorful and juicy and the bacon jam was incredible and the fries were piping hot and so crispy. The service was also great, they were attentive and friendly. I can’t wait to go back!

Such a unique menu! The burger, fries, and onion rings were delicious. I was visiting from out of town in May and I can’t stop thinking about it. I need a Barrio burger in the bay area! Highly recommend trying this out if you’re craving a good, high quality burger. 10/10

We stopped by because we saw the ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and it’s safe to say…. The food is D-ellicious!!! I got the cheeseburger with fries and a strawberry shake. The fries with the sauce on the side to dip is absolutely delicious. It was a cold Saturday night so a lot of people weren’t there, thankfully, but the girl at the front was very friendly and service was great. I will definitely go back!

Barrio Burger in San Diego really impressed me! The food was fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced — great value for the quality. What made the experience even better was the customer service. The lady at the front was so kind and patient while taking my order, and she made sure everything was just right. It’s the kind of service that makes you want to come back. I've been coming here for the past month and I can honestly say that the reviews that people have been leaving are absolutely correct. The food is delicious (everything there is good not just the burgers) not only was the food great but the service was great too. Gabby is amazing I love her, she is really nice and has cool vibes. Overall food and service I'll give 10 out of 10. PS if you go, say "Larry the black guy from the trolley sent me" LOL

relatively new place in Barrio Ligan, bery good atmosphere and delicious signature burger La Trompuda is one of the best things i ever tried. Highly Recommended stob by here if you in the area!

The food... AMAZING! I'm not sure the name of the lady who helped us but she was so helpful when we said it was our first time there. She explained the menu to us and was super fast with her service. Would 100% recommend to friends and family. We loved it. Unfortunately didn't get a picture of the food beforehand (WILL BE GOING BACK) but it's safe to say given we munched it DOWN!

Popped over to Barrio Burger before I started my volunteer shift at the Convention Center. (For those of you who wander, it's only a half hour walk.) Ordered the La Trompuda burger and fries which came with complementary amazing and friendly service. Food was prepared quickly and delivered with a smile and The Anti-Fly Force Field [fan to keep flies off] not sure it was needed, but very nice to have that thoughtful touch. Everything is amazing and I'll be back!

I had driven by here and saw the sign and bookmarked it to try later. Well, later happened on Memorial weekend. There's a nice patio out front so they are dog friendly. On my first visit, we ordered Barrio cheeseburgers and added bacon and fries. They serve my favorite kind of fries, nice and crispy too! The burger was delicious...fresh, juicy and that Barrio sauce is delicious! They don't have a liquor license yet, but they do have Jarritos sodas! And tonight, I ordered the same thing with a guava soda! So good! The owner recognized me and I told her, it just seemed like the right place to come to today! Again...delicious! Consistency is the key! And Cako must really like it here too, cause she laid down on both visits! I think this is now my favorite burger in San Diego! Definitely worth coming to! Cako Approves

Great burger and really friendly service. We stopped in on Saturday evening and had a wonderful meal. The burgers are perfectly seasoned and cooked. It's a cool, casual place to sit- either inside or on the patio. We will definitely be back!

This is a new burger spot we found a Downtown in a corner street location. The burgers are massive, juicy and flavorful. Both regular and sweet potato fries are so crispy. The staff is accommodating, service was fast and I love their free banana peppers!

Such a simple menu but it has a little bit of everything so it's perfect. The La Trompuda is one of the best burgers I've had in my life. It has so much flavor and textures, even comes with a bacon wrapped jalapeño on top. I've never had anything like it. The only thing I wish was more flavor from the pineapple. Upon first glance, I thought it was cheese. It had no flavor. The burger would've been fine without it but to enhance the burger, if the pineapple were grilled or had more flavor, it would add such a nice extra kick of flavor to the overall burger! The meat though was so good, I wish I could've taken a Tupperware of it home so I could make tacos out of it. The corn ribs are a bit overpriced and come with 4 pieces. It was cooked perfectly and had a burst of flavor though. If it came with a couple of lime wedges, it would've enhanced the flavor there too. The fries, El Mac, and shakes are good and are fairly priced. The sauces are good but 75 cents each is a bit steep. There are a few tables inside and outside. Our table was a little dirty but Staff noticed right away and came over to wipe it down. Staff were friendly and open to my feedback. We'll be back to try other things!

The Mish Mash space in Barrio Logan has been turned into a burger shop. Barrio Burger has been open for less than two weeks on the SE corner of Newton Ave and Beardsley St. The latter road was directly off the exit from I-5 South which made it a convenient straight shot from the highway. Parking was all curbside in this neighborhood which may feel uncomfortable after sunset as it's not a well lit block. There was some outdoor seating on the front patio with a countertop bar and about five small tables inside. On the menu screen, three burgers, three sides, two salads, and four snacks were the food offerings. Bottled or fountain drinks and three kinds of milkshakes made up the beverage choices. La Trompuda was the first burger listed which I chose. Al pastor pork, mixed cheese, grilled pineapple, red onion, and guacamole were the ingredients. It was topped off with a bacon-wrapped, cheese-filled serrano pepper. I definitely had never tried a pork burger dressed this way before. The cheese was prominent while the pineapple was less so. The pork was cut into small pieces as opposed to a patty. That made some of the meat fall out while I was eating the burger. The serrano pepper was not spicy at all. The bacon and cheese on the pepper made it an unusual garnishment. I also ordered onion rings as a side. It came as six rings that were fried well. The service was pleasant as they were not busy at all during my visit.

Some of the best tasting burgers anywhere. Great customer service. Burgers were juicy and delicious, fries just right, and root beer floats were amazing. Great drink options, but the burgers were the star of the meal.

Their signature burger was perfectly designed. The sauces that they had were unique and there were several of them. Quality of the meat was very good. The entertainment level of this venue was quite high. Only thing I wished for was I wished they asked how I would want the meat cooked. Cuz I would personally go with medium rare. I just got medium well done, more on the well done side. But aside from that, awesome experience.

Gooey burgers and fresh fries. My friends & I had La trompuda, barrio burger special & vegetable patties as well as regular & sweet potato fries. All good and well sauced. The wait was about 15 minutes that's because the food is freshly made and there were lots of take out orders.

So I went on a day trip to san diego and around lunch time i was craving for a burger. Barrios Burgers popped up and it caught my eye. Went over and the place looked new but till very nice. I loved the options and ordered a regular burger (can't remember the name sorry). First effen bite was SOOO DELICIOUS!! I feel in love with this burger spot that i recommend to all my friends that plan to go to san diego. I will be back soon so Please keep making these amazing burgers!!

Food is amazing!! The burgers are super tender and juicy. The fries are crunchy and tasty and portions are also big. Burgers are really big. Prices are also reasonable. The service is also good. They came to our table a lot to check on us. The food also came quick, especially for burgers. The ambiance is also nice. They are playing cheerful music and have colorful walls. It is a laid back and fun environment. The only thing that could be better is that the restaurant is a little small. The bathrooms are also nice.

Very good spot for a great burger! I've only tried a few items, but I can suggest thr barrio burger or the elote. Family owned, cozy place for a quick break. And incredible service from Gabi, always helpful and smiling. Definitely be back!

Great/ friendly service right off the bat. LOVE THAT! Parking was available, another awesome feeling. Was given the run down of the burgers and we tried two. Got sweet potato fries (salty but good) and onion rings (perfect crunch no soggyness. ) Flavor was there! Vanilla milkshake loved that it wasn't super sweet, we actually finished it! Yum. The burgers. We got the one with Al pastor and man that burger was good. Overall a great experience and we'll be back to make the drive for good food and great service!

We went to Barrio Burger on a whim looking for a good burger and boy were we surprised with how delicious it was! My partner and I got double burgers and fries and they were so good and reasonably priced. The business is new and has a classic diner feel. The two ladies working were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be visiting this restaurant again to try the Mac n' Cheese and milk shakes!

Had the La Trompuda and Barrio burger especial and both were delicious. Order was ready in about 10 min maybe even less and the service was great. They even have a kids burger and fries that is not on the menu. Definitely coming back and recommending to our friends in the area.

Out of all the burgers I've had, this place topped them ALL. I 100% would come here instead of In N Out ANYDAY. I ordered the 3rd burger on the menu which was a cheese burger and it even included some chipotle aioli. Honestly I normally don't like burgers with the aioli but theirs was just perfect. Not too creamy, flavor was not overpowering the meat, and you can taste the veggies inside. The service was amazing. The lovely lady immediately asked if we have been there before and since we haven't she explained the menu to us and answered any questions we had. Since it was a bit slow in the beginning, we even got to have a nice conversation :) Not only was the food good but the environment that the owners have created at this establishment is chef's kiss! They have plenty of seating inside and out. Inside they had a section of bar seating as well as regular tables and outside they had the same thing! You can't go wrong sitting anywhere inside or out. Also the music was a cherry on top, as a hispanic seeing their take on American food AS WELL as hispanic food, it was greatly appreciated that they integrated our culture perfectly with the two. Overall this whole place was a 10/10 and I look forward to coming back again!

Wow!! Talk about a good burger! I was walking in the neighborhood and stumbled across this burger spot, I guess they just opened. I ordered the Barrio burger with all the fixings. Very juicy and tasty! My friend got a different burger with al pastor pork and gauc on top of the patty... looked amazing!!! (She said it was) and will have to try that next. Owner is a very nice sweet girl as well. Can't wait to come back!!

Barrio Burger is a great addition to our neighborhood. Great menu and even better quality! Burgers are fresh and unique. The mac and cheese is my favorite!! Corn ribs are also a fun treat. Love the fusion twist to their menu. The owners are also lovely and always attentive!

Customer service was great and the food was delicious. Wish it was just a little warmer inside, but I know they are newer and probably still figuring things out. I will definitely be back as I saw someone eating the mac and cheese and it looked so good!

First time experience. Service was great. Francisco is very friendly and accommodating. Our food came up in timely manner and was delicious. A nice twist on burgers. We tried a variety of menu items and everything was great and filling. I would very much recommend dining here. The restaurant was very clean and relaxing. Do yourself a favor and try it out.

I have been here twice and the burger was actually very good. The meat has a nice chargrilled flavor and the bacon is nice and thick, but not too salty or greasy. The only thing they could change is the bun. It is too thick and doughy and overpowers the taste of the meat itself.

The burger served at this establishment made me write my first review on yelp; literally made an account just to give them a review. To be fair, price may make you hesitant on eating there, but my goodness am I glad I did it anyway. Hands down the best burger (Barrio burger especial) I've ever had. Ambiance is a vibe - great music, stainless steel, mirrors covering the walls. Service was amazing, very friendly staff. They are bilingual (spanish and english). I would recommend! 10/10 Couldn't take a picture of my meal because I went into town and by the time I thought of writing a review my plate was finished lol

Was craving a good ole fashioned burger today (not a smash patty) and Barrio Burger delivered. This is a new business and you can really feel the love coming from the staff. Sat inside and ate at the bar area, it was nice and chill. Definitely recommend the double barrio burger with fries, great quality juicy Pattie's, crispy bun, and fresh ingredients. Go show this place some love!
