Visited this place for the first time yesterday for lunch,, was greeted and seated by M.J.I didn’t feel as though she was warm pleasant or friendly. Was meeting a friend for lunch or I would’ve left after that experience. However, our server, Gavin Turned everything around he was pleasant, friendly, I had the tacos they were OK. My drink was good and I did not care for the chips and salsa.

Good southwest eatery, lots of options, and tasty drinks. On a pre-game drop in, and coming off a nice nap, we tried Barrio Queen. A very nice catrina themed Mexican restaurant. It was just before lunch, but the place wasn't too busy, and we were seated promptly by the host. Our server, Valentina V. (Tina), was quick to present us with menus, chips and (tasty) salsa, and take out orders. She was on it - makes a mean guac. I wanted to try their tacos, and Liz did try two shrimp tacos that looked really good. Noemi enjoyed her kids chicken quesadilla, nothing too complicated there. Noah tried the Tamale Duo. The tamale duo came with one chicken in red sauce tamale, and one green chile pork tamale with rice and beans. He put a good dent in it for sure, meaning he really liked it. I enjoyed my birria enchiladas plate. The cheese and birria enchiladas were covered in green chile. It was pretty good, and I didn't leave anybody any bites. Tina checked on us throughout the meal, and make sure to take care of us during our time there. We left full and happy. I'd come to back to try their bar, and probably a variety of their tacos.

This place was amazing the steak was cooked to perfection very tender and juicy. Food was hot. I asked for special toppings for them with no problems and no extra charge. The game was playing at the bar and old school music played on the background. Servers were friendly and attentive . Clean atmosphere would highly recommend.

Good quick Mexican fare. Consistent drink choices and decent menu. Servers are efficient. Expected fare with food that lives up to expectations. Vegetarian options available.

We had amazing service and most of the food was amazing! The Mexican chocolate cake and Mexican street corn are my favs favs. Sadly, my carne asada street tacos were a little charred for my taste. Overall, great meal!!

Not only was the food amazing, Ricardo was one of the most hospitable servers I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Knowledge about all the food and his suggestions were on point. Even made our guacamole at the table! We had the quesabirria tacos and the alambre beef tacos *chefs kiss*. My husband had a beer but I tried the el pepino loco margaritas, cumber in a margarita!? So good! Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere; a must if you are in the area!

Watch your bill. I visited this place twice, from out of town. The first time I visited, everything was great; They had live music, the food was on point, the atmosphere was just excellent, and the bartender, he was welcoming and nice. It was so fantastic I visited a second time. The second bartender ignored me for 20 minutes at a time. Additionally, she overcharged me by adding one additional beer and not putting on any of the happy hour discounts. The manager came over and gave me a "discount" and the bill was still $11 over what it should have been. $4 x 4 HH tacos is $16. $4 x 4 HH beers is $16. My bill should have been $32 + tax. The first time it was over $50! The second time it was $43.62. That math is wrong. Then they made me sit there for 15 minutes the first time and over 20 minutes after I ask for the manager *a second time* so I would get fed up and leave. Both couples next to me said the same thing, that this place overcharges, then they leave you sitting there when you complain. I got fed up and just left with a $0 dollar tip. Food was excellent thought. So there was that. Too bad it didn't make up for the terrible service. Also there was a nasty wet sopping wad of paper towels stuck on the wall in the mens bathroom. How does this place stay in business with that kind of service?

This place isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a full-on culinary telenovela where your taste buds get the starring role. Let’s start with the drinks: the margaritas here? Dios mío. Smooth, citrusy, and just dangerous enough to make you text your ex and your grandma in the same sitting. Each sip felt like a sun-drenched vacation for my soul. Now, onto the appetizers, because I believe in starting strong: COCTEL DE ELOTE — This is not your sad, boiled-corn-from-a-fair situation. No, this is grilled corn royalty. Each kernel bathed in creamy aioli, dusted like it’s being tucked in by the Tajin fairy, with a blanket of cotija cheese so fine it should have its own Netflix special. Add lime and cilantro and you’ve got a spoonful of joy in every bite. ROASTED ELOTE — The whole cob version? It’s the Coctel’s more dramatic, extroverted cousin. The butter-mayo-cotija combo hits so hard you might make eye contact with a stranger and both start crying. In a good way. Then came the entrée: Camarónes al Mojo de Ajo — If shrimp had a red carpet event, these bad boys were it. Perfectly sautéed in a garlicky, herbaceous, slightly spicy sauce that whispered sweet nothings in my ear. The poblano peppers added a little sass, the chile de árbol brought the heat, and the rice and calabacitas were like the backup dancers who steal the show during the finale. A+. But wait. Dessert. Oh, sweet baby abuelita, dessert. The Three Leches Cake was a soft, creamy miracle that somehow made me believe in second chances and better decisions. Then came the Churros and Flan Trio — crispy on the outside, warm and doughy inside, dipped in sauces that made my eyes roll back. The flan? Silky. Smooth. Possibly illegal in some states due to how seductive it is. Service? Impeccable. Friendly smiles, fast refills, and not a single judgmental glance when I ordered three desserts for “the table” (it was just me). The place is spotless, stylish, and buzzing with good energy. If you’re looking for food that makes your heart sing and your belt weep — Barrio Queen is calling. Answer it.

My mom and I decided to get out of the house for dinner and decided on Barrio Queen. We sat at the bar and enjoyed a few apps and cocktails. The bartenders were so nice (I wish I wrote down their names)! Super attentive without being over the top. You know the rules ~ chips and salsa first and then order the rest. They had college basketball on but were quick to change to the Suns game per a guest request. The music was nice but not too loud. Everything looked super clean and tidy too. The food came out almost as quickly as the cocktails. We shared the street corn appetizer, shrimp cocktail, and half order of Chile Verde nachos. I got the pinarita and my mom got the skinny margarita. Both were delish! I recommend all 3 apps that we ordered. We almost finished everything (we were hungry) and took a small bit home. As we left the restaurant a server was walking up from the patio and thanked us for coming in. I know it seems trivial but I've experienced some less than friendly servers in establishments recently so I just wanted to point out everyone we encountered was super friendly! We'll be back next visit to Phoenix :)

Went on a Monday for Lunch and sat outside on the patio. The weather was nice and scene was pretty. -Chips and salsa are amazing! -Great iced tea options. -Menu is huge and full of options. -I added shrimp as an extra Add-on to my salad and was sad to see I only like 4 shrimp. - next time I will go back to my regular order of posole, the salad was not worth the spend. Note to moms: there is a changing table in the women's restroom! Feedback to Management: - lower the volume on the patio, it was too loud, like gave me anxiety while I was eating. - speed of service needed to be improved

This was a lovely, solid Mexican food joint! Ambiance is great when you walk in - lots of indoor and outdoor seating options with themed decor and a couple of tv's near the bar for sports viewing. We were seated after a thirty minute wait (dinner rush on Friday night) but attended to promptly. The free chips and salsa are bomb. Salsa is delicious and the chips feel lighter than most tortilla chips. They have a good variety of drinks and Mexican food on their menu. I ordered three tacos for $5.50 each (birria, tacos de tinga, and carne asada) and my boyfriend ordered the birria enchiladas. My favorite tacos were definitely the birria - very juicy and soupy, but the other tacos were flavorful and not bad. The carne asada tacos were very chewy. My boyfriend also enjoyed his birria enchiladas. It was a big enough serving that he was able to take some home in a box. Overall, a great pick in Desert Ridge. Appreciated that they also accepted a military discount here too.

Went to Barrio Queen last night for Dinner/ Happy Hour and wow were we impressed! First of all the ambiance was incredible the moment you walked in the door from the hand painted murals to the beautiful decor. Samantha was our server and she gave us a fast service we had our two-year-old daughter with us and she immediately put in her kids meal, which also showed up promptly sometimes servers can give you attitude when you bring your kid with you and Samantha wasn't like that at all in fact, she was very attentive to our daughter speaking kindly with her. We were very impressed with her service. Free chips and salsa is always a win in my book My husband and I had a couple drinks on the happy hour menu. I tried a margarita and the red sangria. Both were excellent although the red sangria was very sweet so if you're not a tequila person, I would definitely get this. If you are a tequila person, though they have an excellent selection here. For food we tried the happy hour taquitos (flautas) and they were so delicious. You get two rolled tacos cut in half so it's four pieces for five dollars. For our main meals, my husband got the Birria enchiladas, and I got the vegetarian Chillie Reno. Both were excellent honestly we can't wait to come back and try more of the menu and we will definitely be asking to be seated with Samantha again!

Hip Mexican street influenced eatery turning out tacos & cocktails amid Day of the Dead decor! I choose to sit out on the patio and enjoy the weather. I got the Lunch Chicken Enchiladas with rice and beans. YUM! This time the food and services was much better!

My overall feelings about Barrio Queen is that there are some things to like and some things not to like. Overall, it's a pleasant experience, but it leaves a little to be desired. I've checked out this trendy Mexican joint twice: both on weekdays. Located in Desert Ridge Marketplace, parking won't be an issue. Ambiance (4.5/5): This is one of the areas where Barrio Queen shines. It's a large restaurant with a spacious patio, a bar that's partially outside and inside, and plenty of seating indoors. There are both tables and booths. The decor is really cool too, with a decent amount of Dia de Los Muertos stuff. Service (3/5): On one visit, I sat at a table. On the other visit, I sat at the bar. Service both times has been friendly, but a bit slow. And a pet peeve: on my most recent visit, I stopped by on a Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The restaurant was busy and I was told there would be a 15-20 minute wait. Before going to the bar, which is first come, first served, I went to the restroom. While I was walking there, I noticed that several tables were open. It doesn't seem like they were reserved. Why give a wait time when you have open tables? Drinks (4.5/5): Another area where Barrio Queen shines. They have a creative list of craft cocktails, many of which have Mexican ingredients. So we're talking a heavy focus on tequila, mezcal, jalapeno, and more. They also have seasonal offerings. On my most recent visit, I tried one of the seasonal cocktails that had activated charcoal in it. This was my first time drinking a black cocktail. So cool! They also have a solid happy hour with discounts off of both drinks and food. Food (3/5): On my first visit, I did the pick three tacos (love the variety) and some elote. On my second visit, I did the combination fajitas (chicken, beef, and shrimp). Fajitas are one of my go-tos at Mexican restaurants and I was happy that they are an all-day special on Thursdays (with a nice discount). This sizzling platter of meat is served with grilled veggies, rice, beans, green salsa, and warm tortillas. First, the good. The tortillas are warm and fresh. They are relatively small, and they only give you three of them, so I had to ask for more. The shrimp was perfectly grilled and a good size. The chicken and beef, on the other hand, were underwhelming. The meat was dry and poorly seasoned. Overall, some of the most mediocre fajitas I've had. And I know a thing or two about fajitas because I'm from Houston, where they were invented. Maybe I just visited on an off night. Given the ambiance, Barrio Queen makes for a nice date spot. The drinks are on point, but the food menu can be a hit or a miss.

For our annual Teamsgiving, we decided to switch things up with Mexican food and picked Barrio Queen, thanks to everyone vouching for it. We went on a Wednesday for lunch, and the outdoor seating was perfect, shaded, cozy, and giving us a lovely backyard vibe. Except for a few flies, everything else was spot on. Service was fast and exceptional. They started us off with freshly made nachos and salsa, which were pretty good. For appetizers, we tried the Mexican street corn topped with cheese, tahini, and chipotle sauce, honestly, it was really good. For the main course, I chose a trio of tacos: shrimp, battered fish, and chicken. The plate was super colorful, and the shrimp taco was definitely the standout. The chicken taco, however, wasn't as impressive. The pricing is slightly on the higher side, but an occasional indulgence doesn't hurt. Overall, it was a great Teamsgiving experience!

The Bario Queen is just another Mexican Food chain restaurant. The food and service are a hit or miss depending on how busy it is and who is working, which also goes with the overall cleanliness of the seating areas too. The inconsistency, quality, and experience have made this place slowly fade off my go-to list over the years.

Been to Barrio Queen several times. Ordered from them on ubereats too. This location is pretty huge, can seat a lot of people and has outdoor patio as well. Love seating out on the patio during the cooler months. Came here for dinner with a huge party, 13+ people and the service was good. The server was attentive, food and drinks came out shortly after ordering. We did have to ask for refills on chips and salsa. My go to are the street tacos and my favorite is the quesabirria tacos with consome. However, this time around the tacos came out not as hot. Probably because we had a huge group. We also ordered the classic gauc and the queso dip. For dessert, we ordered the churros and those came out hot and fresh.

Cute Mexican restaurant with great food and a great happy hour. Their frozen Margaritas are the best!! The prickly pear is a must!!! Attentive servers and the perfect place to meet friends for dinner or happy hour!! Huge menu with lots of great authentic dishes and especially lots of great tacos to choose from!!! The chips and salsa are addicting!!! Plenty of indoor seating and a beautiful outdoor patio as well!!

Sat on the patio in the shade. Great weather and they turned off the misters as soon as it got cooler. The patio is nice with large bulb lighting on the side and a nice tree in the middle. Ricardo our server was extremely friendly, probably came to the table eight times from start to finish checking on us and each time chatted for a bit. The chips were the old thick style, too heavy for me, although tasty. The standard salsa is very mild and then the habanero one is way too spicy. They need a Goldilocks version! The Molcajete Mixto was an enormous portion chock full of everything! Grilled shrimp, chicken, steak, panela cheese planks, cactus, sweet peppers, rice and beans. More than enough for two! We asked if I could get pork chile verde on my salad and they said yes! The pork was flavorful and it went well with the black beans, sautéed peppers and lettuce. The Paloma Hibiscus drink was well balanced and not too sweet. The BlackBerry mule was very strong and the peach drink was actually frozen but didn't state that on the menu. The jalapeño Margarita was not spicy or flavorful enough the first round and we asked for more heavy handed muddling and the second was much tastier! The caramel filled churros were very rich!although I didn't care for the cinnamon flavor in the thick caramel drizzle as it was grainy. The menu is very extensive, almost too big! We will likely return especially to try the Happy Hour menu.

Pretty decent happy hour! Cheap drinks and okay food. The elote was definitely the best thing we ordered and the chips and salsa were also tasty. The tacos were not good. The shrimp taco had 2 small shrimps on it - and it was full price, it wasn't part of the hh menu so I guess that's just what you get. The carne asada and pibil tacos lacked flavor. Super meh overall. Service was average. Would definitely come back for cheap margs and chips and salsa if I was at Desert Ridge for hh, but I'd get dinner elsewhere.

We ordered wrong. We wanted more of a snack than a meal so we didn't experience the food enough to have an opinion.

On a tip from a Lyft-er, we found our way to Barrio Queen for an authentic lunch bite and we were not disappointed! First, the cool air conditioning and the spacious, bright interior that screams Mexico. First, we got the chips and Barrio Guacamole, prepared tableside. Wow, the pomegranates in the guac really add some brightness, and the chips were thick and crispy. I ordered two tacos - the Pescado Asado and Camaron Asado along with a side of rice and black beans. These were two of the best tacos I've ever had! Fresh and flavorful, perfectly cooked and seasoned. One bite of taco, one bite of rice, and one bite of beans, another chip with guac, repeat, and then my plate was empty and my belly was full. An excellent meal in a fun environment, I highly recommend Barrio Queen for a great lunch!

Barrio Queen has a really good happy hour which includes street tacos 2 for $5. On Tuesday all their street tacos are 2 for the price of 1. The regular menu street tacos are especially good because they include vegetables which give the tacos a variety of textures and flavors. There's a different menu for happy hour which seems to be just meat and sauce. Those are good, too, and a bargain at 2 for $5. There's a nice number of happy hour drink specials including $5 Margaritas. We Sat at the bar where the service was terrific and the conversation was lively. The bar area was full of Day of the dead decor. They had some items for sale. We got a colorful skull for Dan's sister.

Really good food, wish they were closer to Tempe! A little noisy but so are most restaurants. Service was attentive.

Personally I love this place. They have great happy hour specials, the food is tasty and the staff is always friendly. Their margaritas are delicious and if you're not the mood for anything with alcohol, than you have to try their horchata! They usually have fun seasonal events too that are always worth stopping in for! It tends to be a bit loud on the inside unless you come on an off day/hour but nothing terrible. Outside is a great vibe when it's not too hot. Overall it's a great place for all occasions.

The video is pretty good since it is slow cooked and it is not too fatty, but it is quite savory as it has a lot of sauce in it. I would recommend getting the Aztec enchiladas. In general, the portion sizes are huge for what you pay for. In addition the steak nachos is pretty generous on the steak. I was not wowed by the churros, but they are a good sweet treat. The decor is so cute. The restaurant gives off traditional Mexican celebration and dia de los Muertos vibes. I love the cups at the front--at this time, they are probably $12, and they make good gifts! Overall, very cute. Service staff was standard but they work efficiently as there are a good amount of people at the restaurant on a Thursday night.

Lovely Mexican restaurant in Desert Ridge. I got the mole enchiladas and they were fantastic. The waitstaff was so friendly and food was served up fast. there is indoor and outdoor seating, and the bar window is open to the outside so you get some fresh air even inside. Unfortunately that makes birds occasionally fly in but oh well, they fly away soon. The mole sauce was so flavorful, the cheese and chicken so flavorful, truly spectacular Mexican food. I love it! Getting out of the parking lot and turning left on Tatum or straight on Rose Garden to the business park and hotels is a bit of a mess, that's the only downside.

I stopped by last night for dinner and this place was busy! There was about a 30-45 minute wait. Usually that is a good sign that the place is good! So my family and I waited - our server MJ (MaryJane) was super sweet! She was attentive and awesome! The ambiance in here is nice, I like the vibes! Super artistic and nice paintings. The food was yummy! I got the steak fajitas with chorizo beans and rice. My mom got the steak and chicken fajitas with chorizo beans and rice. My mother also got their soup the Caldo Tlalpeno, she loved it and said it was very good, my grandma also got the soup and she Loved it too! The fajitas were yummy! I loved it and so did my mom and grandma, it smells so good and it comes sizzling to the table. They also give you chips and salsa at the table to start off with complimentary. The spicy salsa they have (you have to request it) is REALLY spicy so if you like hot, ask your server for it. I also got dessert, their churros, it was super yummy! It has Carmel inside of them, YUM! It also comes with vanilla ice-cream.

Just average- ordered two corn tacos. One was short ribs which were overly salty and the liquid saturated the corn taco drowning it in the plate. The chicken was quite disappointing. The waitress asked if we wanted anything else but never asked how the food was. Husband's protein bowl was "okay". Lots of other places to eat nearby...

When in Arizona, get Mexican food, right? Let me preface that yes, I know I'm in Scottsdale. People told me to drive away for good Mexican food. But, I didn't want to stereotype. I had to stay close to Mayo Clinic and the Yelpers gave good stars, too, so I folded and listened to them. And just like before, I listened to them. And I have regrets. I am sorry, but while the decor and atmosphere is quite trendy and on-point with its open-air seating, the food is Bland AF. Birria meat is super salty and the veggies that color the meat tops were mealy (tomatoes) and wilted (cilantro). Shrimp taco was questionable upon first bite (not fishy, but texture was offly soft, almost like its been defrosted for too long or inadequately). Tomatoes and cilantro were so old they lacked taste in the free salsa. Elote was not grilled on the cob (only the husk) and lacked any spice. The free chips and salsa chips were probably the best, but even that, I didn't finish. One star because It was cheap: $20 for a drink, 2 tacos, elote, and the (free) chips and salsa. I sat at the bar, and service was fine: she checked just enough and was friendly enough. It wasn't busy at peak lunch time, though I did see some commuters and/or older people there. Maybe an off day based on the reviews, or maybe it serves a particular clientele? What ever it is, it was subpar.

We enjoyed tacos and chips and guac out on the patio. The food is always good and service is good.

Beautiful Desert Ridge location. Servers are friendly and beautiful. My date's beer was forgotten. I love both inside decor and festive outdoor dining. Freshly fried tortilla chips. I love the chipotle salsa. It was not too spicy but oh so tasty. The quesadilla appetizer was rolled. It was meh. I wish I got the chile verde pork. It came in a cast iron and was super duper hot. Yummy!

Service was really slow, food was mediocre but I had a piece of hair in my salsa ... all they did was replace it. The staff didn't seem upset, mortified or the least bit concerned which didn't make me feel great about their cleanliness or food safety standards

Good Mexican food here, not too heavy on the stomach and good size servings, lots of choices! My favorite is the guacamole which is prepared and served fresh at your table. This guacamole is very authentic. They also have the best chips, tortilla chips serve warm, and salsa. A good children's menu is available. The service is awesome. They pay a lot of attention to you from the moment you walk in and the food comes in pretty quickly. Love the decor on this place very Mexican and very artsy. It's quite entertaining. This Mexican restaurant is definite must try! Oh, and don't forget the margarita and they have a full-size bar as well.

We made a reservation for three but apparently " it wasn't recorded " and afterwards I received a "hey did you come because we didn't see you" email. Totally disorganized! We came with our group to celebrate Christmas. Food was scant, drinks were sour, although service was good. My second time here, sorry not impressed. I won't be back

The jalapeño margarita and table side guacamole were outstanding, and our waitress was fantastic. The music was loud and obnoxious. Like Mexican circus music. It was grating. And a woman came by and took the candle off our table at 9:12pm, even though the restaurant doesn't close until 11pm. Rude. It was surprisingly disturbing. The candle added some much needed warmth and ambiance to the room. Also did I mention it was freezing? I had on a sweater and my husband still had to give me his jacket to wear. This was our first visit and don't plan to come back unless we just want guacamole and margaritas. And it's warm out and we can sit outside.

Much better experience than yesterday's at the Scottsdale location. Sat at the bar for happy hour. Had a really good margarita and a tasty small plate called pork tinga poblano. Service was as good as could be expected with just one bartender. Nice bar atmosphere with good conversation to be had.

It's a great atmosphere. Open, airy, well lit with plenty of inside and outside seating. Great menu and drink selection. Waitstaff is mostly friendly, just not consistent from employee to employee. We each had a poblano based dish and both presented well in a solid average size, but necessarily generous in size. Service was good and when you ask, prompt. It is in a great location along with plenty of other retail options to choose from.

Food was great. I got the birria tacos and they were delicious. Also loved the chips and house salsa. The frozen margaritas and dessert were great. Service was good too- the staff was very polite and got everything exactly right. I like the ambiance. We sat on the patio and I loved it. The giant tree with lights outside was really beautiful.

I've had numerous friends recommend this place to me if I wanted casual and decent Mexican food in the area and I recently had the chance to try them out. After looking over the menu, we decided to order the Barrio guacamole with less jalapeños, to share, and a trio of tacos each as our main entree. We really enjoyed the amount of pomegranate seeds that was in the guacamole. However, we thought that the guacamole overall was way too salty for our preferences. For my trio of tacos, I decided to get one al pastor, one camaron asado, and one camaron taco with a side of rice. Unfortunately, the al pastor taco was way too salty for my liking. The two shrimp tacos on the other hand, were both enjoyable, nothing amazing, but decently solid tacos. Overall, the service was friendly, not too fast, not too slow. The ambiance was quite charmingly casual. They had fun music playing, but it wasn't too loud where we couldn't have a comfortable conversation with each other.

The birria nachos was okay but a little dry for me. I only had a few chips but really for 20 dollars was a little too much.

Enjoyed our visit to Barrio Queen. Perhaps my favorite thing about visiting this place is the stylish decor and ambiance. Whether you're dining indoors or out, it's a great experience and place to spend your time. The fajitas I ordered were good - nothing particularly notable, but enjoyable. The service was also good - just what you'd expect on a casual Sunday evening.

This review is from our one and only visit to this place a year ago. The server we had literally refused to let me order tacos without cilantro on them. Why this place is so popular, I have no idea. Even ignoring the cilantro that I couldn't pick off, the food wasn't very good.

It was fine. Big production to make the guacamole but it was rather bland. Not much flavor and zero spice. The salsa was excellent though. Fajitas were solid; nothing special but not bad. Son got the margarita flight and they were okay. Parents had the fish tacos and shrimp tacos, both were a bit salty. Service was solid if a bit slow at time.

Came for their happy hour deals, but stayed for everything else. The inside and outside offers plenty of seating and it's super spacious which is great. Even though I initially wanted their happy hour tacos, the enchiladas were calling my name and they were delicious. We wanted guacamole with our chips but we could only see the table side quac on the menu, and our waitress was already hustling around to enough tables that we didn't want her to get caught up doing a table side guac for us (since we could see she looked a little flustered whipping one up for the table next for us). Regardless, salsa was great, and they offer a great variety of other food and drinks as well

This was a pretty decent place. I liked the outdoor patio area. They said if I sat inside the wait would be over an hour on a Tuesday night at 5:30pm. So we got seated right away on the patio. We got the mojohete bowl which was pretty decent. There were not many beans in it and odd to see all the rice. There was something that look like chicken in like inch wide by 3 inch long squares. I could not tell if it was tofu, chicken or fish.. lol. I asked one of the bus service gals for a strew and she gave it to me and did not even smile at all. Overall it's not a bad place. The menu is black beans this and black beans that. No refried beans at all.

Service was great. Food, not great. I ordered a chicken taco. It was awful, and tiny. My friend had the Chile Relleno, which she said was very mediocre. Two for lunch. Had soft drinks. Bill was over $50. Won't be back.

Our service with Ricardo was incredible; he was impressively attentive, made sure all of our food arrived correctly, and was thoughtful with our large family to cater to everyone's needs! Will absolutely return for the wonderful ambiance and service.

Haven't been here in awhile, but made a quick stop here for happy hour/taco Tuesday. Three kinds of tacos were 2 for $5. My chicken was supposedly white meat, but still not sure. The corn tortillas needed to be doubled and tacos were nothing special Elote ribs were interesting and pretty good flavor on the four pieces. $5 margarita was good, but not potent.

I got the nachos chingones. It's usually my fave. But today the melted cheese was drowned in black pepper. Which is new. No roasted red onions. The Mexican cheese corn had a random chunk of chicken inside that was really cold and weird. Was very disappointed today.

Excellent food! You could easily fill up on chips and salsa; the salsa has a kick but is packed with flavor. I got the taco trio with the cochinita pibil, carne asada & chile relleno, and the mar y tiera (surf & turf). All the tacos were fantastic. My son got the barrio pollo burrito and finished it all. Our server was very attentive and kept our water filled. Highly recommend the roasted elite for the appetizer.

I haven't had service this bad in years. They sat us at a table with no silverware and no waitress in site for the first 10 minutes. We had to flag somebody down & Ask them to please find our server. No one ever came back for refills, it took almost an hour to get our food. And our waitress seemed more concerned about closing up the restaurant, & getting things put away for the night instead of paying attention & bringing us any refills or our food. Very frustrating, especially when you have a little baby who is getting impatient and tired. Tip: learn to be more attentive to your tables, even if you are in training. Taking an order and never going back is just terrible service.
