Ordered take out. Yes many things affect takeout quality and consistency and some of that is on the customer like time to pickup etc. However, when it's small plates with medium prices I expect more consideration around how the food will taste. Or at least an effort to try to match the restaurant experience. We ordered:
1) chips and salsa (best thing in this order, salsas we're tasty, chips were fresh made, $4)
2) chicken enchiladas, three tiny rolled enchiladas, soppy tortillas, chicken was well cooked but flavorless, smothered in sauce and cotija cheese. You could only taste the room temperature semi melted cheese and it was bland ($17)
3) chicken quesadilla, again, chicken was well cooked, more flavorful just soggy from the takeout container/steam (a little unavoidable, $14).
4) steak taco, again steak was flavorfully and well prepared, "fixings" were half melted, soppy, and detracted from the taco $7).
Pro tip, separate the goopy things, because it's better that customers have to rebuild the dish than get a cold, floppy, distasteful version of it. In times of high inflation, post COVID where people are really trying to support small local businesses you need to step it up. This is the second time I've been to your establishment in 3 weeks and the food has been disappointing.
