"This renamed space in southeastern Astoria (previously Metro Crust Pizza) is one of a collection of Queens pizzerias taken over by Mexican immigrants. Usually, a taco menu is added to the pizzas; in this case, an entire menu of pizzas with Mexican toppings takes center stage. The birria pizza is a thing of beauty with lots of meat on a melting platform of cheese. Yes, the consomé is served alongside at no extra charge, and there’s a bonus cup of guacamole, which is really better for dipping than soup." - Robert Sietsema

Looking for a place to unwind? Check out Barrio Taqueria! They have happy hour from 2:00pm-7:00pm! The atmosphere is great and lively! I recommend the mango frozen Margarita! The bartender Andrea was super friendly, approachable and even recommended some food and drinks! Look out for her! Check it out ! ✨

I came here with my friends on a Saturday night to celebrate birthdays, and it was popping with a live DJ. The food and service were great. It was a bit loud inside so you couldn't talk normally. I definitely will come back again, but maybe sit outside next time. Below is the list of items we got. Carne Asada Tacos 🌮 (Beef) ❤️ Chicken Quesadilla Esquite (Mexican Street Corn) ❤️ Birria Tacos 🌮 (Lamb) Mar y Tierra Tacos 🌮 (Steak & Shrimp) Classic Caramel & Chocolate Churros ❤️ Chocolate Cake Drinks: Pineapple Mezcal (one with alcohol and one without) ❤️

Los tacos de pescado are fantastic!! Full of flavor and crunch with the pickled cabbage. The birria and ceviche tacos were good but the fish tacos stole the show. Guacamole and esquite were a fabulous start to the meal. Great ambiance and margaritas were on point!

I loveee this place!! Drinks are bomb! Andrea is the best bartender! Atmosphere is great! The DJ keeps the crowd dancing or singing to all the best Latin music. Highly recommend this place! If you like Mezcal ask for the Mezcalita with Chamoy and Tajin!

Google
A fun, loud, energetic, and exciting time! We went out as a family to celebrate birthdays and the food, service, and desserts were delicious. Our server Andrea was so friendly and gave great recommendations. I highly recommend coming here and you’re in good hands with Andrea (in English and Spanish)! I’m definitely coming back to party with friends next time.

12/3/23 first visit and won’t be my last everything was great! Our waitress Estephania was excellent . Samantha was great! Servers were wonderful. The food, service, vibe, music decor, love DJ, the Birthday celebration…everything was just right to celebrate the day and especially my grandson’s birthday. Thanks to all people at Barrio Taqueria that made this day an unforgettable one! Mattie

Yelp
The food was great!! The atmosphere plus music was very enjoyable. Thank you to our great waitress, Andrea, she checked in and took care of all our needs. Thank you!!

Yelp
The place is cheerfully decorated with colorful artwork, sneakers, and bright piñatas. It's a very fun vibe! We were there to celebrate our birthdays, and this turned out to be the perfect place. Be warned, this place is extremely loud! They have a DJ, and the music was great, but you have to yell if you want to have a conversation. We actually debated if we should stay or go somewhere else, but thankfully, we decided to stay. We ordered the esquite, chicken quesadillas, tacos de alambre, birria tacos, and the mar y tierra. All of the food was really good and well seasoned. My favorite was the tacos the alambre, the steak was so flavorful! The service here was excellent! Even though they were busy, they continuously checked on us, bringing out fresh plates and napkins. My friend told them we were celebrating our birthdays, so they sang happy birthday and brought out the guy dressed as a luchador. If you want to celebrate a birthday or just have a very fun time, this is definitely a great spot.

Yelp
Dude! run, don't walk here!!!!! from the amazing drinks to the warm staff - you are bound to have a SPECIAL time. The atmosphere is soooo fun (esp if you're having a bday) and everyone genuinely looks like they enjoy working here. Angelica was fantastic. She made sure we were never empty handed and always having a smile on our faces! what an amazing gem that made us feel soooo welcome and happy :) can't wait to come back!!!!!!

Angele C.

Yelp
I came here after seeing their ambiance and had a nice after work dining experience. They had good vibes and excellent food. I had the enchiladas and I will definitely come back again. The service was quick and the manager even came out to ask about the food which was a nice touch.

Renee R.

Yelp
Stopped by Barrio to grab tacos and tequila and they didn't disappoint. The tacos were awesome fully loaded and large for size. They filled us up and we even left with a Togo bag which made for amazing leftovers. The beverages were good and decent sized as well. The place is located on a corner so they have indoor outdoor wrap around seating in addition to the bar. They had a decent crowd after work and a great playlist for the happy hr drinks. The staff were extremely attentive and polite.

Yelp
I had seen an advertisement on Instagram for barrio Taqueria as being the most fun place to go for your birthday. Being that it was my birthday recently I decided hey, I wanna have fun for my birthday! So I made a reservation at barrio Taqueria, and brought a few of my friends, we started off with their happy hour margarita specials I ordered a chicken quesadilla and my friends all ordered an array of good looking and tasting food. At the end of our meal, I was surprised with an order of churros with chocolate delivered on a platter with sparklers by someone dressed up as a Luchador! How fun! After that, the man in the mask, a.k.a., the Luchador, came around with tequila shots for our table. They really weren't lying about having a fun time for your birthday.

Yelp
Good Mexican food and drinks, more than just an Instagramer's brunch spot. Food - We had the birria quesadilla and it was quite good. My wife enjoyed the sangria, I just had a Pacifico. Service - We went the night before a holiday and they were closing early; however, the waitress didn't rush us. They were very respectful. Ambiance - I guess everybody else was in Manhattan for New Years Eve, so it was mostly empty that night. There are lots of photo ops and a DJ, it's an exciting environment.

Jordan C.

Yelp
This place is the turnup spot. They have some of the best Mexican food, and we happen to go on karaoke night! Beto our server was amazing ! We tried everything from la patrona to the Pitufo sooo good a must order ! Comes in a blender! The ribeye was amazing and so were the Carne Asada tacos and the Nacho's were some of the best I've had!

Danny B.

Yelp
Food was absolutely delicious, tacos so tender and juicy. Thr servers were so nice and friendly, brung out our food within 20 minutes. The inside is so warming and welcome I love how it looks. Very nice vibes and lighting, I just wish the bathroom was a bit bigger. Overall 9 out of 10

Lulu T.

Yelp
Great location, great service, clean bathroom. Fresh ingredients, the fish tacos were extremely good and fresh! The drinks were so good and after 3 I was definitely buzzed! Went early in the day. The food was delicious and seasoned right. Everything came out hot!

Yelp
We tried this place last Saturday night and had An amazing time! The only issue was as it got more packed ... the service got slower. Since we got there around 7PM, it wasn't even busy so we got seated right away and our drinks came pretty fast. To start, we got the guacamole with nachos, some esquites and an order of fries. The guacamole was fresh, full of flavor and creamy. I got the carne asada tacos and my friend got the carne asada quesadilla. They were both so tasty and were good proportions. The party didn't end there! For dessert we shared the churros and the burrito cheesecake. They both hit the spot. A night is never complete unless we have dessert! We would definitely come back here to try other dishes. Thank you for having us!

Yeimi D.

Yelp
Met here with some friends on a Thursday afternoon. The place is simple, nothing crazy. Is clean and nicely decorated. We met up at 630pm and it wasnt too crowded. We were able to get some drinks before happy hour was over at 7pm. The drinks were very diluted. I had white sangria and my friends complained they hardly felt the alcohol in their drinks.. i must note that the table next to us ordered a specialty mixed drink that they make table side and that cost $110. Thats crazy tome. Anyways, for food we ordered guac and chicken nachos for the table. The nachos had barely any chicken in it and tasted was just ehhh. We finished our drink and decided to go try another place. Now we left not because the place itself was bad but we were kind of bar hopping and wanted a more lively vibe with hookah. It was past 8pm and the vibe here was still dead tho it was karaoke Thursday. Overall is a nice little place. I would come back and try other items on the menu. Service was a bit slow but I would give them another try.

Mirian G.

Yelp
My expectations were so high after seeing reel after reel stating this place was a vibe. We were a group of 7 and we went for happy hour on a Thursday. Happy Hour drinks were 10 dollars which is good for NY but there were only 2 options for food in the HH menu. Which was a bummer but we tried it anyways. We all got drinks. I got a passion fruit margarita and a patrona. Nothing to brag about if im honest. We ordered chicken nachos and it seemed they forgot to put the chicken because there were so little of it. The place itself is small but is decorated for social media for sure. Is definitely instagramming but the service and food were lacking in my opinion. We ended up walking a few more blocks to another place for our main meal and more drinks.

Yelp
This place was LIT At 4pm on a Sunday!! Music is loud, beats are fierce, and everyone is just having a great time. I can see this as the perfect place for a fun night out with a group of friends. Their food is just as strong as their beats. We ordered the Burris quesadilla and the fried fish tacos. One thing I didn't like was the fact that all tacos come in a set of three and you can't mix and match. I would have loved to try one of the fish taco, one of their chorizo and pulpo, and an Al pastor. I dipped my boyfriend's birria cheese quesadilla in consome before taking a big fat bite, followed quickly by another. The meat was fall-apart tender, the consome rich, and flavorful. It was perfection. While the consome was excellent, sipping the quesadilla in the Guac salsa was just as good. My fish tacos were fire as well. The fillets of fried fish weren't too big but the flavors of the Chipotle Mayo, cabbage slaw, and corn were redeeming. The fish tacos were pretty good but I would gladly try another flavor next time. Excellent food, great music, and a clientele that is ready to party set the stage for a good time here.

Yelp
Such a fun spot to be !! They have a cute neon sign for the perfect photo opportunity The food is delicious and the drinks are fun great place for cinco de Mayo and the food come out really fast and the servers were nice

Shannon A.

Yelp
Went here night before Cinco de Mayo to meet a friend. I sat at the bar to wait, I was the ONLY person at the bar then my friend came. So as we sat there we ordered drinks that were so watered down and not good bartending at all. She asked us like twice if we wanted to order so we did some nachos and tostadas. We were in there for 45-50 mins so it got more busy and more people sat at the bar. The other people ordered and got there food before us even though we was there first. I told them we was leaving can we have the check both the server and bartender looked at me but still continued what they was doing! We had 2 drinks and 1 beer for $50 BAD BAD SERVICE!

Lorraine B.

Yelp
I'm giving this place a 3 because the drinks were good but expensive $23 for what's pictured all fresh juice I heard. Music was WAY too LOUD you couldn't even have a conversation it's a small place....DJ was good he started to play 70s-80s -90s mix then play too much spanish he should've mixed it up.I The staff were great very friendly and welcoming. I didn't eat the food.

Sean W.

Yelp
Love this place..great neighborhood spot. Loved sitting outside and you really can't beat the Happy Hour. Andrea was awesome and perhaps the best nachos I've had. Will be back!

Tracey K.

Yelp
I love that they have a DJ on a Sunday while you brunch. The menu is via QR code and the server uses an electronic device to take your order. Super efficient! The place is decorated with sneakers. They're displayed by hanging from the ceiling and showcased on the walls. Never worn of course. I'm not sure of the significance but it's cute! I ordered queso quesadillas with chicken. It was filling for sure. I added some spice and they were great! I couldn't eat them all. The guacamole app was a bit pricey. $15! It was good but yikes! My mates got various tacos. They gobbled them down! The service, music and atmosphere was great for a Sunday after a busy weekend. Food was really good too! A little over $100 for four for lunch, one app and no drinks was a lot though.

Santia G.

Yelp
Found this spot on social media. They don't have a dedicated place to make reservations, but I reached out via direct messenger and they were immediate to respond and confirm reservations. We came out for an early Sunday afternoon brunch, 5 of us at 1:30 PM. When we arrived, there was another table eating. Clean, quaint corner spot with tables that had cushions seats mixed with high metal chairs. They have a live DJ on weekends for brunch. They have 2 hour bottomless drink option, and what's dope is they don't have a mandatory everyone at the table has to do bottomless in order for some to enjoy it. 3 of us did bottomless; options are sangria, mimosa, frozen margaritas or beer. Margarita and sangria come in a child size cup but they refill once you let them know your cup is empty. $29.99 for the bottomless. You get the option to choose from the brunch menu (a handful of options) or their regular dinner menu which has everything else. As with most places, you see the menu via scanning the bar code at the table with your phone. We got the guacamole appetizer which came with 3 tostadas; tasty. We also got the mussles with chorizo and toasted bread; nice spice and great flavor. They also give a complimentary bowl of nachos. Each of us got different tacos, prices range from $13 - $20 for 3 flour tacos. They offer vegan taco options too. Everyone raved about their tacos and I enjoyed mine too. Good flavor, nice spices. We got fries and corn on the side and my goodness, the corn was delicious! Fries weren't greasy either. Sides ranged from $4-$8. My folks surprised me with some birthday desserts; chorros with chocolate and caramel dipping side and deep fried cheesecake with cinnamon. Both great flavor. The DJ was good too, nice variety of music played with more of a focus on Spanish music. Two gender neutral single bathrooms as well, kept in good condition and clean. I'd recommend for anyone looking for a decent time; menu on the pricier side and they add the gratuity as well.

Angie O.

Yelp
Went back for food 10/10 !!! Desert was so good and so was the food. Service is always amazing as well !!

Teresa S.

Yelp
Came here with a good friend. We tried the coconut, guava, passion fruit, hibiscus and la patrona margaritas. ALL SLAMMINNNN! The service was A1 and we were treated so well. My friend and I ordered tacos to share. And wowwwwww. We got the birra, pastor and the chorizo with octopus. She liked the pastor as her fav. And the birria was mine. The lamb was exquisite. The music was such a vibe and such a cute place. I cannot wait to come back! Thank you guys again!!

Morgan C.

Yelp
The food was very tasty! I loved the tacos . They were authentic and super flavorful. The margaritas for happy hour were $10. I would recommended the guacamole as an appetizer ! The chips were made fresh.

Sherika H.

Yelp
I am not a fan of cheesecake but they have a churro cheesecake dessert that was phenomenal. I went on a Wednesday for happy hour and it was pretty slow, I was seated right away. Our waitress was nice. I would return to try a different special on a different day.

Sharm S.

Yelp
Had a chance to stop by this lively spot in Astoria for the first time last night! There was a live DJ and karaoke. Everyone in the place was in a great mood and it was such a vibe! Love all the neon signs and fun decor. Their drinks are insane - check out size of their Pitufo and Cantarito. Also beautiful presentation of their tuna tartare tostadas. Of course they have delish birria tacos, nachos and def end your meal with churros! Please support local small businesses. Enjoy!

Dan B.

Yelp
Ordered takeout and the food was disgusting. The chicken was fatty and undercooked. Both meals went in the trash. Legitimately gross.

Kisha V.

Yelp
Upon my arrival I noticed how packed inside the establishment was. It was drizzling outside so ofcourse everyone was seated inside. I was super excited to try the drinks. I love me a delicious tequila drink. Once my sister and myself got inside. The hostess informed us that no tables where available and the last 2 tables in the back where reserved. She informed us that we would have to wait 20 to 30 minutes. We where a bit upset on the wait but we travel far to try their popular drink and eat some tacos. Once we where seated we was quickly server. My drinks was delicious and my tacos was excellent. It's a bit pricey for the amount of food you receive but overall we had a wonderful experience. I would prefer to go during happy hour. Atmosphere was extremely clean. Servers where cleaning tables and maintain keeping each area clean. Thank you

Alexi N.

Yelp
The only good thing running for this place is the decor and music. It sets a vibe that it doesn't have. Our server was Angelica and she took forever to serve us and check in on our party of 6, when the restaurant wasn't even busy yet. All of us were even questioning why the service was so slow when there was barely anyone there. Also we would ask for things and we would have to remind her to give it to us when we ask for it initially for example bottomless mimosas where we saw the bottom of our mimosas for 20 to 30 minutes and she will come back to ask if we needed anything and we would remind her of mimosas...? The food only offers like appetizers for brunch options. I had ordered the torta and thankfully I'm not allergic to strawberry because one of our guest in the party ordered the French toast which had strawberry and it was in my plate so if you have any allergies, there's 100% cross contamination. They automatically apply 20% gratuity so it doesn't matter how crappy they treat you because they still get their tip anyway although they don't deserve it. I am a generous tipper and a situation like this, I would barely give this person 15% tip. This place needs to be either closed or taken over by new management. Save your money and time, go someplace else, this place isn't worth it. Also, the five star Google reviews listed are in exchange for a FREE shot - don't let it fool you

Valerie R.

Yelp
Highly recommend their brunch on Sundays! Even tho they only had one cook that morning, the service was still surprisingly excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed every single dish!

V. T.

Yelp
Food was decent but after a lengthy discussion with the waitress about how they could make grilled fish tacos the tacos were served battered and fried. I ate them anyway and they were good. The real kicker though was that they added a 20% gratuity to a table of 3 (me and my 2 young daughters)! And when the check came for signature there was a gratuity line. WTF? Will not be going back.

Kevin P.

Yelp
Honestly, pretty sad about how this place turned out to be. Have been a customer since when they first opened up, and while they passed through two different managements. But, this new management really made me question if this place is worth my money. We asked their new manager about an old server that we've previously met and he seemed bothered by the question and didn't even interact with us. Seemed like he was more focused on posting IG stories than actually being interactive with the guests. We had to ask for water TWICE because the server didn't bring it over when we sat neither when we asked for it. Used to be my go to spot but it is definitely taking a turn.

Michelle C.

Yelp
Came here with my boyfriend and another couple for brunch. They offer the bottomless brunch for $30 each. We had their frozen margaritas which were delicious and very strong. We ordered Al pastor tacos, breakfast for champs which was eggs with octopus and beans and tortillas on the side. My boyfriend said it was very delicious. I ordered the Al pastor tacos which were tasty. Nothing out of the ordinary but still delicious. My friend ordered chicken fajitas that she did not enjoy. The chicken had a weird color, the chunks were huge and the flavor was not good. The manager was nice enough to replace the dish with dessert. The dessert was definitely one of my favorite parts. The churros were warm and crunchy and paired so well with the caramel and chocolate dips. The burrito cheesecake was definitely my favorite tho, the cheesecake filling was creamy and the outside was delicious. There was a dj playing good throwbacks and made the brunch very enjoyable. I will be returning to try other items from the menu.

Daniela C.

Yelp
Great food service and ambiance. Birria quesadilla was amazing. I will definitely be returning.

K. H.

Yelp
So, I was invited here for a celebratory Brunch milestone event. Cute place, small on the inside. Parking easy street spot even for a Sunday. The crowd was intrigued with our group for some reason. The DJ , super cool. Of the 2 waitstaff for our area Sebastian was the superstar, for all of the following reasons: cordial, smiled the whole time, came to check on us (not babysitting) it is a business with other clientele, but he definitely cared. The other server (female) was undoubtedly overwhelmed with a 20 person party, never gave her name and basically pushed any questions we had to the coordinator. She maintained the other tables with service & smile, with us not so much. Regardless of the issue it is still the service industry , and smiles and care go a long way. I'll be back and ask for Sebastian the hero of the day, great job!

Stephanie A.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday afternoon and surprisingly it was empty. Came with a party of 10 there was a dj and they offer bottomless drinks $30 for 2 hours. I ordered a spicy margarita, corn app and ceviche tostada to start- sooooo good! For our entree we ordered birria quesadilla and enchiladas that came with rice and beans ...everything was really good. I ordered grilled chicken and fries for my kids.. they enjoyed it. However the star of the show was the espresso martini- wow... the presentation and the taste was top notch! Really enjoyed coming here. However, I wonder why it's so empty? Their prices. The prices are pretty steep. $18 for an espresso martini? Am I in Manhattan? That's the reason why I took a star away. They're pricey and the appetizers are overpriced and small portions. I did enjoy the food and drinks and do recommend this place.

Chelsea J.

Yelp
Came here a month ago on a Friday night and it was SOOOO loud. I'm not old. I love to party and have fun but the vibes were off here. I love music but it really doesn't need to be that loud the food was good we got guac and street corn... and we ordered drinks that took forever to get to the table no idea why but it was okay. I'm sure our overall experience would have been better if the DJ dialed it down a bit. It wasn't that big of a place to be blasting music that loud.

Ju J.

Yelp
Ok!!!! To start! *****Service 5/5 no complaints **Food 2.5/5 Nothing was special or amazing tasting. And OMG to the owner!!! I have never been to a spot that willingly only gave you chips; you have to purchase the guac or salsa. I feel like you gave me a free bra with no clasp!!! Shame on you! As for the taco; I like my fixins this taco was just meat /tortilla/lil green sauce!!!!! Not radish no pico no cheese! ***Drinks 3/5 We got the mezcal old fashion! OK, I coulda used .5oz more mezcal, but whatever sweetener war used was to syrupy! **** Space4/5 Def a cute vibe! The lights the colors the decor!!! Please invest in the AC I have friends that will never sit outside (they are sweaters) I practitioner was sweating while eating as it was a 92 degree day After all of that I don't think they are pricey but that whole meal came up to $60 as I just came from the pool hall and had eight beers, six rounds of pool and played darts for the same cost P.S the hot salsa is level 8!!! Imma spicy girl so if u like REAL spicy enjoy

Christina V.

Yelp
Tacos we're just ok, drinks equally. Guac was nothing special and it doesn't help that their prices are high. The place is cute inside and out. Bright, airy but I question the cleanliness. I've been coming here for over 15 years as it's been at least four different restaurants. None of them seem to have what it takes to survive long term which is too bad as it's a pretty good location. Give it a go maybe you'll like.

B Y.

Yelp
Had high hopes for this place Drinks where solid, food was eh my birria quesadilla did not look birria at all, tacos are good ! they do stuff them Service was a failed had to constantly flag down our server on a Tuesday evening... wasn't even that busy wouldn't return i'll rather go down the block to Citrico restaurant more relaxing vibe and margaritas are way stronger

Mei H.

Yelp
Only tried their beef, pork and cheese quesadilla and they were not bad! Will come again to try their tacos next time

Evangelia L.

Yelp
I saw this restaurant in a recommendation and decided to check it out on a Friday night with my mom. So glad that I did ! Complimentary chips were given when we sat down. The interior was very cute and inviting. The staff was also friendly. We ordered the Al Pastor Taco, Camarón Taco, and the Barrio Birria Quesadilla for our main courses. The meat in the tacos was so soft and tasted fresh. The tacos also came with a tasty avocado sauce. The lamb in the birria quesadilla was cooked perfectly and I know it's not easy to cook lamb ! Though this place nailed it down so well and we will definitely be back for more. For dessert, we ordered the Classic Churro with vanilla ice cream. Unfortunately they were out of the caramel stuffed churros when we arrived. Nonetheless, the classic churros were very delicious and crispy with the perfect amount of sweetness. Overall the prices are fair for what you get. Would highly recommend !

Austin K.

Yelp
I've been trying the Taco Tuesdays around the area, and this is the third one so far. While I love the churros here (the regular ones are much better than the dulce de leche filled ones - both come with chocolate sauce which taste too much like Hershey's chocolate sauce though), the tacos were disappointing. There are 2 deals for Taco Tuesdays - any taco for $4, or 8 tacos for $30. We opted for the 8 tacos and tried all of the 9 options except for the vegetarian one. The best one by far was the pastor, so I would opt for that again if I came back for tacos. The fish taco was disappointing because the breading wasn't crispy and the mayo was a odd mix with the beets, although I appreciated the beets themselves as something new. Others were just lackluster - the impossible was an interesting one for those who want to try it, although I think I prefer it as a patty.

John R.

Yelp
So this is my second time visiting this place. The first time we went we didn't have a great experience, but we always give places a second try. We waited outside almost 30 minutes to be seated when there were visibly plenty of tables available inside and outside. After finally being seated we ordered drinks and the nachos with chicken. The nachos barely had any chicken. The chicken tasted horrible and reheated. Nonetheless after receiving our Nachos, we heard a few female guests start screaming. When we looked over a HUGE MOUSE had tried running up one of the guests legs. One of the workers was able to hit it with his foot and it then ran up some one else's leg. The workers were finally able to kick it out the front door and into the street. The hostess immediately spoke with the other servers and they began telling everyone that they were going to close the front doors because the mouse came in from outside. Which was a lie because multiple people saw it come out from the kitchen. Needless to say we got the check and left. We won't be back!

Norma V.

Yelp
Beware of TikTok and IG recs... The place itself is cute, outdoor seating available, and a nice host that greets you at the door. Music pumps you up and gets you in the mood for a drink. The service unfortunately, was lacking. Had to ask for utensils and cups for drinking water several times. We got the water pitchers, but the cups never arrived. We shared apps and no extra plates were brought. They brought other people's order to our table twice. When the food finally did arrive, we found a hair in one of the dishes. The server was kind enough to comp this. The food was good but nothing out of this world. Drinks were okay. Not sure if they were short handed (although we saw a few servers walking around) but it was not that busy during our time there. Good to hang and talk if you're not thirsty, hungry or in a rush. They will eventually get to you.

Yelp
Had a lovely girl's night at Barrio Taqueria in, and it was the perfect place to end the week. I loved the decor and the relaxed atmoshere, and there are plenty of vegan/ vegetarian options. We ordered: Cali burrito with portabello (vegan!!) - I was skeptical because I don't always love portabello mushrooms, but this was truly one of the best burritos I've had in a long time. I didn't miss the cheese at all and the salsa on the side added the perfect kick. Fuego Margarita - Perfection...not too strong, not too sweet and just the right amount of spice. Last Breath (cocktail) - This arrived literally smoking, which was fun, but don't order this unless you like a strong smokey flavor. I felt the smokiness was overpowering, so next time I'm sticking to margaritas!

Yelp
Great food and great customer service. Samantha, the manager, went out of her way to greet us just from seeing us there. Al Pastor tacos and fish tacos were great. There was a DJ on the Friday night we were there. Great ambiance. Great food. Great people. Will be back!!!

Yelp
Friday night, 3 people, outdoor dining. Had a great meal and great service! I avoid indoor dining and therefore am glad there are so many outdoor seats. We were able to get a table for 3 people outdoors just before 7 PM. The staff was attentive and helpful - the waiter was nice and gave good suggestions. We shared the salsa fuego and the corn appetizer (delicious!). There was a truffle quesadilla special not on the menu that was tempting but I was craving tacos. After sharing the chips and the corn, 2 tacos was the perfect portion. I went with a lamb taco and a fish taco, both delicious. One person ordered a quesadilla and the other the burrito bowl with chicken. The burrito bowl was a good portion so she shared it and both people enjoyed it. I opted for the red sangria with mango, at the waiter's suggestion - it was good but not very strong in flavor. And the serving size ofnthe sangria was ok, just in a cocktail glass. Next time maybe I'll try one of their tequila-based drinks instead.

Yelp
It is a place with delicious food and drinks, but I recommend it more during the day or in the afternoon. Because on weekends it is too noisy at night and you can't even hear the waiters. The space is very small and the music is too loud as if it were a club.

Yelp
Wednesday evening, was able to get a table for two outside without any wait. Slim menu with happy hour specials and your standard Mexican favorites to choose from. To start off, ordered a Classic Margarita ($8 for HH) s well as a bowl of Salsa ($3) because the complimentary chips didn't come with any for some reason. Margarita is definitely strong without being syrupy from the added flavor. For the main course, ordered the Piña Bowl ($11) - a hefty serving of beans, corn, salsa, onions, and avocado over a bed of quinoa. Incredibly filling and all the items blended well together (felt like a healthier version of nachos). Ended the evening with a Mango Margarita ($12), that has a hint of mango overwhelmed by the tequila. Server here was nice and explained the happy hour as there is no distinct menu for it. Like the complimentary chips but not the fact they don't give salsa (egging you on to order it yourself). Will come back for happy hour at some point.
