I've only lived in Spokane a couple of years, but in spite of a pandemic, I've had the opportunity to sample many of Spokane's terrific restaurants, bars, and wineries. Each winery has unique charms that stand out, but if you're looking for the BEST wine, Barrister is the place to go! I'm primarily a white wine drinker. I've discovered Barrister Sauvignon Blanc outclasses other local wineries' whites. I have tasted reds at other local wineries and at Barrister, my favorite of which is called Rough Justice. Apparently, some of the Barrister wines have won National awards. Barrister is not in the business of food, but I love that we are permitted to bring in our own picnic lunch if we choose, and I appreciate their generosity in providing bottled water free of charge. The atmosphere at Barrister is comfortable, fun, friendly, kind of casually upscale housed in an historic brick building. For the past couple months on Wednesday and Friday evenings, there are consistently great bands that vary from classic rock to jazzy horns and provide dancing pleasure. Reservations are required as these bands are very popular. And, have I mentioned that there is NO cover charge! There is street parking available, and in addition, on the east end of the alley where Barrister is located, there is an off street parking lot which is free of charge for Barrister customers. They've covered all bases! A fabulous place to go in Spokane!
