Where to Find Birria and Quesabirria Tacos Around the Twin Cities

"Barroco’s birria comes on corn tortillas with a cheese twist: mozzarella. Other notable dishes include two types of mocajetes and both black and green aguachiles." - Cinnamon Janzer, Lindsay Abraham, Eater Staff

"While it’s hard not to order at the always-appealing milanesa de res torta at Adelita’s, it’s even harder to order one without a margarita, especially during happy hour. The Mexican fare here is among the best in an area ripe with competition. On Fridays and Saturdays, Adelita’s is a great destination for late night food, drinks, and karaoke." - Eater Staff

My husband wanted some Chicharron and I wanted fish. We looked up and saw that this restaurant had both of what we were looking for. We order the Chicharron, Talapia fish/Mojarra Frita o a la Parrilla, 3 Tacos entree, and Chimichanga. All foods were super delicious. My fish was super delicious, I didn't have to use any sauce. The service and the people there were super nice. We will definitely come back for other things in the menu.

Just found this restaurant I currently live in Chaska and it's a completely hidden Latin community in NE mpls. This has definitely become one of my of our favorite places to eat. The guacamole and the chicken wings some the best I've had in the city worth going for that alone. I usually dislike most of the tortilla chips served in most restaurants I can't stop eating them here. They are made fresh extremely light and delicious with the guacamole. Live music and karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights.

Looking for an amazing dining experience? Look no further than this restaurant! I recently visited with my family and we were blown away by the incredible menu offerings, especially the Peruvian ceviche. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was impeccable. This is the place for great food, fantastic atmosphere, and top-notch service. Don't miss out!

Served by Estavinia. Great Food. Nice Staff. A wonderful dining experience! The ambiance was cozy and inviting, and the service was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, with perfectly cooked dishes and bold flavors. Each course was beautifully presented. Overall, a fantastic experience—highly recommended for anyone seeking great food and a warm atmosphere!

Google
I went to this place attracted by the advertisement that they prepare Peruvian food. But it's just a way to attract customers, it's just another Mexican restaurant with some Peruvian dishes. I asked the waitress for a recommendation and she recommended the Aeropuerto. Very bad selection, it was a bad copy of Chinese fried rice, for that I would have gone to a Chinese restaurant. I would have preferred something more typical of Peru. The Food was unsavory, the place was extremely hot more than outside, the service was not great and the prices are high for the experience. Hope they will read this and make some improvements.

I can’t recommend it more! I am Peruvian and hadn’t have any good Peruvian food for awhile, I saw a post in Fb about this restaurant and wanted to try it. Ordered a causa, Lomo Saltado for my husband, and Pesto for myself. It was really good, food was flavorful and service was excellent. We also had a Chicha morada and Inca Kola which we liked a lot too. We will definitely come back and share it with friends and family.

Yelp
We were very pleased with our meal tonight. Our server was very attentive and friendly and gave great recommendations. We had guacamole and I had the Camarones A La Diabla/Al Mojo De Ajo and my husband had Lomo Saltado. The Camarones were spicy and delicious and the portions were large. Hopefully we'll be able to visit again.

Yelp
Met my friend for dinner. We were both in the mood for some good Mexican cuisine and landed on this place. Parking is a bit of a pain. There is a lot in the back, but very limited spaces otherwise street parking is available. Food ordered: Guacamole & Chips- Good Camarones al Ajo- Good, but shrimp were quite small. Rice was good. Street tacos with shrimp All the food was pretty tasty. Prices are a little high. Ambiance. It was pretty quiet for the first few hours we were there and then it was so loud we had to leave. I'm not sure if there was Karaoke or a Dj, but combined with the multiple tv's blaring- it just got way too loud and we could no longer hear each other. Nice place sans the volume..

Yelp
This restaurant has some of the best and freshest Mexican fusion food I have ever had. I had the agua chilles verde, fresh shrimps marinated in a lime juice sauce with fresh avocado and red onion. I haven't had a dish this good since having conch salad at fish fry in the Bahamas 20 years ago. This was topped with ice cold Modelo. It was a tremendous eating experience. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Great service, amazing food. I had the Peruvian ceviche and it was amazing 10/10 would recommend. It's very hard to find a restaurant with Peruvian cuisine around minnesota and I'm so glad this place is here. Can't wait to go back and try more things.

Yelp
Barroco is rather new here in the heart of Latino eating places in Northeast - replacing Adalitas restaurant after it closed. The menu is well varied, slightly eclectic. Food preparation is excellent. Staff is sincerely super nice and attentive. Full bar available too. They remodeled the interior after Adalitas closed and the ambience is very comfortable. It's the real deal. I walk over regularly for dinner here and have yet to be disappointed. I guess this reads like a shill, but I do feel folks need to know about this place.
