Barro's Pizza

Food is decent most of the time. Most employees are kind. The restaurant chain claims to be more of a smaller, family-owned business, but it's absolutely a larger one nowadays, and it definitely shows. Especially in how they treat their employees. Management is clearly heavily profit-oriented, and willing to take advantage of the Labor of young, inexperienced high-schoolers, most of whom aren't offered breaks. The Cooks in the back are badly underpaid. One of the managers frequently discusses alcohol, and Right-Wing politics, with the underage Workers. Environment has deteriorated over time, since Manager Andy retired. Owners are now rich, and have become quite alienated from their customers, and from their employees. If you want a real, small, local, family-owned business that's actually good, and a token to their Community, try for Il Primos or Spinatos. Both are more affordable, and seem to treat their Workers and customers better.

Ordered a 14” Mega Meat, XL Build Your Own Pepperoni, 12 ct of Lemon Pepper Wings, and 12 ct of Honey BBQ Wings. Everything was overcooked, dry, tough to bite/chew, and nearly inedible. I am highly disappointed in the price paid for the low quality of food service. I would not recommend Barro’s Pizza.

Good solid pizza and reasonable prices. Tasty and filling veggie pizza with lots of tomatoes and peppers and onions. The crust has a slight sweet flavor which I like. Can't go wrong here when you want fast and good pizza without spending too much on a pie.

Barro’s is the bomb! I grew up in Moon Valley and the Barro’s on 7th & Coral Gables was the original. I know there are a ton of pizza places now, but Barro’s is where it’s at. Chicago style with great crust! Check it out. The sauce is extraordinary.

The blonde girl in the front of house who helped was rude as hell! Like damn girl quite snarling at me! She gave me a dirty look every five seconds while ordering. And had a heinous attitude while serving us at the salad bar. Then had the audacity to say “have a good day” as if that’ll excuse her nasty attitude. Food was good tho.

Tasty pizza that won’t break the bank. Staff’s friendly, service is fast — it’s the kind of spot you keep coming back to.

Barro’s is our neighborhood go to for pizza. It is just so good and this location is so freakin reliable. Everything they make is good. The wings, boneless or traditional; bread sticks, and of course the pizza! This was our first time eating at the restaurant and it was great, we will probably be going in more often when it is just our little family. It is a seat yourself and then they bring out the food and do the cleanup. They do a great job! If you’re looking for a good pizza for dinner or for a large party Barro’s is your spot! The pepperoni pizza boasted a perfect crust-to-topping ratio, and the pepperoni had a satisfying kick. The friendly service and cozy atmosphere made our dining experience at Barro's memorable, and we left thoroughly satisfied with our choice.

Visited the area for my son's baseball tournament and after a long day we wanted something easy for dinner. While the reviews on here are very mixed- it was close and the prices are on point. We had 2 large pizzas with regular crust. One cheese and one pineapple/ham with half jalapeños. I ordered it online which was super fast and simple, gave me a wait time and allowed me to pay, when I arrived they greeted me immediately and asked my name. Checked on my food, let me know it would be a few moments. About 5 minutes later a very nice taller gentlemen called my name. The food was done about 4 minutes early. The food was 3.5/5 . I wouldn't rave about it but it's so quick, easy, and is enjoyable. Total for 2 large, one specialty... was $31 with tax. Easy parking, oh... and the ranch is REALLY good! Enjoy!

Got takeout. Pizza is good. Mushrooms and pepperoni were quite tasty. But at what cost...there was so much grease it seeped through the box onto the table it was on. I would come back, but only when I know I am throwing away my diet for the next week. Wings were just ok. Good flavor medium buffalo but just not that much meat on the bone.

The barrow pizza in Laveen market place is the worst place ever super rude and late on the food always. there customer service skills are horrible the atmosphere of the place not welcoming at all I had to wait almost 2 hours for my pizza and we did it online. Worst of all the heavy set guy there refunded our food after waiting for 2 hours. Definitely will not be returning.

Had to write a quick review for this location! Always clean, Always great service! Love all the young people who work here. Friendly, hospitable and fun! Food is always just how we like it and just how we order it! Today we ordered the white pizza, well done. Perfect and tasted great!! Nope. Just nope on the wings. Nasty and dry. Celery has brown tips. Only redeeming quality is the somewhat, assumed blue cheese dip. Wings are overcooked and almost inedible. Most went into the trash.

I order from or eat here at least a few times a month Partly because it's close to where I live but also because I love it! It's consistently good! If I'm getting takeout, I use their app which makes ordering simple. They also have a nice sized dining room if we decide to dine-in. I highly recommend the Kona if you're a fan of pineapple on pizza. It's delicious and it's my favorite! Service is standard and we've never had an issue with our food being messed up. Can't imagine life without my Barro's Pizza!

we have been patrons of Barr's Pizza for decades. Recently the renovated Greenway store must have revised their pizza recipe. The last one ordered was a big disappointment. There was no sauce (or negligible) on the pizza which is what made that particular pizza great! Maybe since all things in packages or food items are cheating buyers/customers to save a few cents. All items you purchase in a store today has downsized or are cheating on quantity in some way - this is Barro's way of saving money, I guess. I am hoping it was an off day for the chef. Trust me, you don't want to continue this practice - we will go elsewhere for our pizza.

It is good for franchise pizza. The service was great. Ambiance average but that for children.

Im a sucker for any local, Arizona restaurant, but Barro's has most of them beat hands down. It's not just for really high quality pizza, wings, and a salad bar. Their super friendly servers make it all the more special to come in for an order. My hats off to Barro's!

Tried the mini white pizza with 4 slices. It is the addition of ricotta on this pie that makes the big difference. There is also a good dose of garlic involved. Bunco night also.

Hi neighbors! We want to find a new pizza place. Barros is not cutting it anymore. Greasy Breadsticks with cheese with barely any cheese for $9 including tax. Last three the times family complained. I took them back this time, the next day. Manager couldn't do anything and no refund. I took photos. Never buying from them again, it's a warning to these businesses need to know we're paying for quality. Competition in business - there's tons of options! I've owned my restaurant out of state for 8 years and we take care of each customer. I'll do a chargeback on my credit card since manager said he couldn't do anything. Horrible! What's your recommendations for pizza places and any photos? Thank you!

This place used to be fantastic. Not sure if ownership changed, or just indicative of the kind of employees businesses are forced to hire these days, but the quality has gone down hill. Pizza seems extra greasy, and the crust is limp, even extra baked. Have always ordered "extra crispy" wings, and I'd hate to see what normal bake is. My gf likes it a lot, so we still order from time to time, and every once in a while they surprise with pizza they used to make all the time.

Ordered a well done pizza. Delivery said 75 mins. Sounds great. Pizza gets delivered 45 mins later. Just slop and not cooked properly. Pizza was rushed and quality was not good.

This is a Chicago-style pizza (not deep dish), so you want a good crust. They nail it! Plus, a salad bar to build a salad the way you want, reasonably-priced sandwiches, and great lunch specials. It's a neighborhood go-to for lots of fans! Most locations have plenty of in-house dining booths and tables, with games on TV. Overall, great for your party or everyday pizza.

So good! Highly recommend. Delivery was fast and convenient. We were in from out of town for Spring training and just wanted something quick and easy. Would definitely come again!

The service was very poor. I order over the phone, was told ready in 15 minutes. Walked in young rude girl at register ask how I order repeated my answer to her 3times, They had wrong name in system. Wait 30 minutes pass my 15 minutes pick up time. Walked away from the counter started talking about the difference customer. I will not be back. Pizza was expensive, not worth the money. I get better treatment at other restaurants in the area. Food is better at other restaurants, for less the cost. Ambulance was sore so. Dirt.

This pizza has a good hand tossed crust but overall it's greasy, cheese is great and at times veggie toppings can taste canned. Good pizza for an Americanized pizza, nothing like an authentic Italian pizza but Barros doesn't promote themselves as it.

I love this pizza! BUT the lunch time service is terrible. They always seem understaffed during 11:30-1pm. Most of the time you have to wait for pepperoni to be ready. Once it's ready you have to wait longer before you can eat it because it's like boiling lava. That's the dilemma great food, but to get the lunch prices it's gonna take time.

Been a customer for 20 years at this location. My husband stood there for 10 mins while our pizza got cold while no one wanted to make a small anti pasto salad . Our food was cold when my husband walked to the car. Should have walked it back in side it's late we are hangry and if the boy taking the money would rather answer the phone that get our food out in an expedited manner while the pizza was already done he should seek a career change.

CONSUMER WARNING EAT ELSEWHERE. Just hung up with the owner (Gina) T his lady is the most pompous lady I've ever spoken with. Shared our story of long lines, bad service, long waits and wrongfully prepared food and Ms. Gina said her son and daughter manage the store and apparently DO NO WRONG. There are a lot of places to eat pizza ... "THIS PLACE IS A TRAIN WRECK" I wouldn't eat here if it was free ! Not to mention Gina has no people skills. I guarantee you she bought into a franchise opportunity. She won't be in business long. EAT ELSEWHERE: My Italian grandmother would always say : "If the restaurant is a mess - I'd hate to see the kitchen." I've had better ravioli out of a can, better frozen pizza and better wings. Our go-to pizza spot these days. We love the mega meat pizza and the build-your-own salad. We call ahead and the food is always ready in a timely manner.

the workers name is kamyrn as stated on the receipt! she had such a terrible attitude and was such a terrible experience! i was ordering a large order and it took me a couple minutes to fully order and i heard the worker say under her breath "this is not an all you can eat buffet fatty" i could not believe what i had just heard! what a shame. i truly was gutted by this experience and it's safe to say i wont be returning. hopefully this young lady learns some manners and respect for her elders! this occurred today (wednesday at 5:00 ish)

Hands down still the best pizza ! When you do a build your own at other places you will be lucky if you get all toppings on every piece (one place I tried was so ridiculous that there were 6 pineapple chunks on a whole large pizza that I paid $3.50 for the pineapple topping !! ) thank goodness Barros normally does a great job with the toppings ! They do great delivery and great pick up ! Will continue to be my go-to Friday pizza spot !

This was supposed to be a Barro's special pizza with a tad extra green peppers and onions on it, not green peppers and onions with one slice of pepperoni per slice of pizza. Out of 25 years of getting pizzas with the specific store, this by far has been the absolute WORST pizza I've ever picked up.

We got a pizza at Barro's (Cave Cree/Desert Willow) and the crust was crust was rubbery, and the cheese tasted fake. The cheese was terrible, and I am sure it is not healthy. A pizza should have a crust that is not rubbery, but solid. We could not eat the pizza, and threw it away. I would never eat from Barro's again because it all tasted fake, and not healthy.

Manager told us to eat the raw dough we wouldn't get sick cause there is no egg in the pizza So many things to list that happened I'm not going to waste anymore time cause obviously management and ownership don't know the basics best not blow smoke up customers rears cause some of us have more year's experience than your whole business combined plain and simple actually give a crap about customers that order 10 mins before close and don't short the customer cause you want to leave right at close and pull pizzas early and shut down the ovens and don't short cheese to make up for food cost

Barros is my favorite pizza spot! I love the lunch specials! for dinner I order a small pizza and wings or mozzarella sticks. I typically do pick up because sometimes with delivery my food is cold. finding my home can be a struggle so I dont blame anyone for getting lost and taking long

Barro's is my go-to pizza joint in the valley. I go with the Barro's special and they never skimp on toppings. Pricing is very reasonable for an extra large pizza at around $23. I haven't eaten in at any of the locations, but they are usually fairly busy when I pick up my to-go order around 5-6pm. With multiple locations around the valley, it's nice to know that no matter where I move to, there's a Barro's within 15 minutes or so.

Ordered over phone said would be 30 to 35 minutes. Arrived in 30...cashier said another 15. She told me they put dine in orders before. Not order of receipt. Seriously???

What I love about Barro's is the consistency of their food - even in different locations. It is just plain good pizza - nothing real unique, but it is pizza done well! You can't beat their lunch specials of slices...great big slices and cheap! They always have Cheese or pepperoni ready to eat and then each day a different specialty slice. I am not sure if they have dine in right now during this Covid pandemic, but definitely give them a try at lunch if you have never been.

Been going there for years. Always great food. Tonight we had the antipasto salad. Very large portions and so flavorful. Also had the garlic cheese bread. Another great tasting bread!

Great pizza. But the manager is what really made the experience at the location. We had an issue with our order due to some malfunction with their ordering system but he was super nice and helpful! I would totally come back to this specific Barro's for that reason.

This place is great for lunch. It is served to4 4pm but they do open a bit late at 10am. Sometimes I show up early and there is no pizza hot and ready. The salad bar is always great. You can get it to go and I would suggest upgraded the drink for 25 cents.

Disappointing lunch. We ordered two combo meals. We had to wait for the pepperoni pizza. Parties behind us got served pepperoni pizza before us. After 25 minutes of waiting we decided to leave. We go to the counter to ask for a piece to go and the lady said she didn't even have our number written down. She wouldn't give us a slice even though we were one of the first customers there to order pepperoni... She then offered us a refund. When working on the refund she asked if we had a receipt, which no one ever gave us, so she wouldn't give us a refund! THEY were the ones to not give us a receipt or write down our table number. Terrible service. They get flustered easily when they have more than 4 customers. Go anywhere besides this restaurant.

Spaghetti and meatballs were great. I should have ordered thin crust pizza, as I wasn't a huge fan of the thick crust, but everyone else loved it. Good prices, good food! Will definitely go back to Barros pizza. We Used their delivery which was cheap and quick, way better than grub hub etc.

I ordered my pizza online and came in to pick it up. I walked in on the lunch rush and Barro's wasn't short staffed. Apparently someone had called out. However, I was very impressed by the service! I didn't get the name of the guy who helped me but he was so fast and working really hard to beat the rush! I was very pleased because he was able to help 5 people in 5 mins! He was quick! The food is always good here. I have no complaints! Just wanted to rave about the awesome service!

Love this pizza and couldn't wait to dive in. The pizza was so salty, I could barely eat one piece. We ordered two 12in and both were super salty; it was like licking a salt block. Other than being OVER salted everything was good.

Consistently good pizza. My kid likes the wings. Anti pasta salad is great. Fast friendly service.

Good pizza and wings at Barrio Pizza. Order was easy with their web app. Had their white pizza and a bacon and chicken pizza. Ordered boneless wings. Offspring and I enjoyed the taste and selection. My favorite was the white pizza with ricotta and mozzarella cheese. The bacon and chicked pizza was also very good. Had a smokey flavor to it. Both had original crust. Offspring enjoyed the spicy boneless wings. Enough food for several meals I hope.

Worse choice ever. Boneless wings, lemon pepper extra crispy. We got 3 celery sticks that were dried out on the ends. The food can be so good one time and so bad the next time. Totally inconsistent food quality.

Obviously you can't tell how big this, but you can also tell it's good because it already was half eaten!! I love this place and I've known this place since they had a ball pit and small arcade games!!!

I can't say that I have ever been a raving fan of Barro's pizza but stopping into this location had me rethinking my opinion. I had a slice of Kona which was pineapple with a teriyaki marinated chicken. Needless to say as a Hawaiian pizza fan I found this offering to be awesome. Yes, the pizza is very thick and doughy but its light and airy so as to not be too heavy. Also, I am told this is the original location.

This would be considered the local neighborhood pizza spot that we regularly order out! Typically go with the large pizza and 24 wings. I do like how they have a bone in and bone out options and you can split your wing flavors based on the dozen. Pizza is doughy with a nice sweet tomato flavored sauce. Nice mozzarella flavor! Tried out there newly added lemon peppered bone out wings with blue cheese and spicy buffalo bone out wings. I wasn't too impressed with the lemon pepper wings because I didn't taste the flavors I had expected from other places that offered the same thing. The buffalo wings were on point as usual, with a hint of hotness!
