We had been meaning to try Bartaco for a while.
JMO, this is not a place for people who are older, especially people who sensitive to loud noise nor for those who need reading glasses to read tiny print.
The food was very good, but where the menu warns "the tacos are small three bite tacos, so order 3-5 of them" they aren't kidding. Bartaco customers would really benefit from having specials, like "buy three, get one free" or something.
To order, one needs to read the menu, so bring your reading glasses if you have a difficult time reading smaller than 5pt font. One orders via filling out a paper card, like one is playing mini-golf. This isn't a bad thing, unless your eyesight is poor.
For a taco place, it was surprising that there were no complimentary chips one gets at every other place that serves south of the border cuisine. Given the tiny size of the tacos some chips would be appreciated. The tacos were very good, and my order of "street corn" was about the best street corn I've had anywhere in the Triangle.
All that said, if you're young, have money, good eyesight and enjoy loud music Bartaco is a great place to be. I might well order again, but take out for me.
