Bartaco’s First Texas Location Is Open - Eater Dallas

"If sesame ribeye tacos with kimchi or roasted duck quesadillas with tomatillo sauce sound like a great meal, plan a trip to Fort Worth’s new Bartaco. The street-food-focused chain just opened its first Texas location, opting for Fort Worth’s WestBend along the Trinity River. Bartaco’s entrees are under the $10 mark, with tacos ringing in at $2.50 and $3.50 and sides priced at $2.50. Besides tacos and rice bowls, Bartacos’ bar is stocked with 40 tequilas including its own special blend, Libélula tequila. The restaurant’s decor is designed to make diners feel like they’re in a beach shack somewhere in Brazil, Uruguay or Southern California. Decor details include blue-and-white tile from Mexico, garage doors that open to an outdoor bar, and 1940s-era pendant lights from Round Top, Texas. The restaurant is located at 1701 River Run, Suite. 183 in Fort Worth, and daily hours are 11 a.m. to 'late'." - Adele Chapin

Delicious pork tacos and amazing drinks! I was not a fan of sweet beef or that our food comes out mixed (example: if you order 3 tacos, they may come out mixed with the 3 tacos my friend orders, and then you have to figure our with the waiter whose is whose even though we each used separate ordering papers.) But considering how delicious the pork, shishito peppers, drinks, dessert and service was, its definitely worth returning over and over again. The view is fantastic and the restaurant decor creates a great atmosphere day or night. Definitely better than 4 stars but there arent any partial stars awarded. If they can change the way the food comes out (i.e. we each get our own food) i will change the review to five stars.

Wow!!! Have been trying to make it here since they opened and it just hasn’t happened.... well it did finally and I realize how much I have been missing out!!! What a cool atmosphere when you first walk in, lighting throughout is overturned baskets and a few doughbowls above the bar - which really added a lot of character and depth to the whole place! There was a wait when we arrived and the hostess quickly got our number and set us up for a text message alert when our table became available. We found a seat at the bar and got some recommendations from Jessica and landed on the spicy jalapeño margarita and wow was it delicious! All ingredients were freshly squeezed and then a shake with some jalapeño - very flavorful with a touch of spice on the end!!! Our table was ready and closed out at the bar and headed to our table - our waitress explained how it worked and gave some excellent recommendations on what to order. We tried the plantains which are covered in cayenne and a touch of salt and the guacamole.... both delicious, although I prefer a touch more lime in my guacamole. My dinner companion ordered the tuna rice bowl and it was good, but he wished he had ordered the tacos - a lot of bell peppers and not enough tuna - not a complaint but just wished he had ordered tacos once he saw mine! I tried three tacos, all on Bibb lettuce - tuna, rock shrimp, and pork belly - loved all three and will be back for more! Overall - bartaco has quickly shot to the top of my favorites list - I am most disappointed I didn’t try it sooner!!!!!!

Between my wife and I we've tried pretty much every taco on the menu and most of the sides. They're all good. Keep in mind the tacos themselves are fairly small; you probably need 2-3 with sides and 4-5 without. Everything is served family style; sides are large enough for 2 with a good amount and 3 for smaller portions.

Must visit! Service was friendly and quick. The ambience was perfect. My Baja taco was fried to perfection and had a great crunch. My friend LOVED her falafel taco. 10$ lunch special came with 3 tacos and a soup or salad. Soup was yummy but the chicken to veggie ratio was a little off. If you fill out the card at the end you get a token for a free taco! Will definitely be visiting again!!

Bartaco has a great selection of tiny tacos with great flavor. The tacos average around 3 or 4 dollars a piece and you will likely need 4 to fill you up. Beer selection leaves you wanting and the appetizers came out after our tacos by mistake. Overall, it is a great view with decent tasting tacos, but I feel the price didn't match the experience.

My third trip and second location. They have great options like swordfish, ahi tuna, sesame rib eye... The tacos are delicious, balanced properly (meaning the right portions of each ingredient) Service has been top notch each time. I give it four 🌟 because it's more expensive than expected. Everything I have ordered has been great.

Love the atmosphere. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Restrooms have always been clean. Food is great. Drink options are alright. Service is a little slow.

Just...delicious food. You can always expect quality ingredients. I recommend the pork belly taco, eloté, and pork tamale. And the margaritas are super fresh and one of my favorites in FTW, although they’re a little pricey. I just wish there was a happy hour!
