We had an amazing experience at bartaco! Chase was our server — super nice guy, easygoing, and made the whole night feel relaxed and fun. Scotty was behind the bar and made the best margaritas we’ve ever had. The pork belly tacos were absolutely unbelievable. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back! 🌮🍹

Chase was our server and was fantastic!! Made us feel welcomed and at ease immediately. The spicy marg is bright and perfect. I love that everything is made fresh here and no corners are cut on quality. Chris the manager is the absolute best and took amazing care of us! Love coming to this location!!

Update: Went a 2nd night and food much better. Tacos were good depending upon which one you chose. Pulled pork was great, fish was good, ribeye was like eating two dice, hard cubes of meat. Service was a little slow. Cocktails were weak and pricey.

A great taco place. The Verde salsa was delicious and fresh. We got a variety of tacos. The pork belly was the best. My husband liked the fish taco best. Wasn't a big fan of the duck taco. The lobster street corn was amazing. The tacos are small. Our server recommend 3 to 5 per person. I also tried the purple haze non alcoholic drink. It was very refreshing. They do use fresh squeezed juice. We will definitely be back.

The pork belly tacos are the way to go. Our friends Matt had the pork belly and crispy rice bowl and said he could eat this every day of the week. The shrimp taco was good too. Everything is gluten free except the dessert which was exciting for me. I would definitely go back. Great choice. We got the appetizer. I would get plantains separately or cucumbers separate and definitely get 2 guacamole if you have a party over 2.

I ordered through DoorDash and they chose to rip me off. Didn’t include the extras that I ordered and paid for, and gave me less than half a portion of guacamole and no chips. Do not order from this location. Apparently, they knew they could get away with it, and because DoorDash‘s review process is so lame. I don’t even know how to get my money back.

Watermelon Margarita was fantastic! Ordered twice. Bit inconsistent in how it was made each time. But that is a minor issue. Tacos were excellent! Server was excellent. This was our first time. She explained how it is done. We will visit again!

We ordered tacos in 4 different varieties, Black beans and street corn.. We had the watermelon mint Margarita it was outstanding. The service was impeccable. The view of the street on the patio was fun. We will definitely be back!!

We had a birthday party for 20 people at bartaco this weekend and had an amazing experience. About half the people had not been to bartaco before and they along with the previous bartaco customers loved the lunch. The restaurant manager along with our server could not have been more professional, attentive and friendly! The food was, as always, so good.. as were the margaritas. We could not recommend this any higher!! You will love it!

I loved the location of this restaurant, it was away from all the hustle and bustle and had a really chill vibe. My friends and I came for dinner and enjoyed everything thoroughly! There were two servers that were very friendly and gave us all kinds of cool suggestions of things to do in the neighborhood and they helped us select the most popular dishes from the menu. Everything was really good, the vibe was really chill and fun, the servers were very friendly. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. My friends and I were traveling so we took a Lyft to the restaurant, but there was plenty of street parking around. The Restaurant has a very open feel. It's very large and has plenty of seating. We had an awesome table next to an open window. I'm not sure if I went. I'll return to Nashville, but I would definitely recommend this spot to anybody who is visiting.

- This is an absolute must try during your Nashville visit ! This unique flow of service accommodates a wide variety of parties. You could bring a family, a date, a group of girls, or a large gathering (although I'd call ahead, as they'd definitely need to push some tables together!) You could order using paper and pencil at the table, but the QR code provided allows for you to independently pick what you'd like with photos of each item and great descriptions. The prices are flexible , since everything is à la carte, you can decide how you want to create your meal. For a group of girls, we likely spent 12-20 per person and felt full and satisfied! Granted, we did not try any of the margaritas (next time though ). The green salsa as a starter was super flavorful and fresh, with a kick that was enjoyable and not overly spicy. My meat eating friends greatly enjoy the Baja tacos, and the pork belly! Personally, I tried the Brussel sprout taco and the cauliflower, as well as a side of the beans. I was super impressed by the usage of fresh ingredients and unique flavor profiles. The brussel sprout was paired with a sweet potato to be sweet and savory and fill your mouth with layers. The cauliflower tacos had a pistachio blend and some pomegranate seeds - sufficiently providing pops of sweetness and fun. You don't even care you aren't eating meat, I promise haha! Our service was also quick and helpful. It's good to note that their flow of service is that you will insert a card into a stand on your table to get the attention of a server, which is an adjustment from traditional USA dining where your server stops by often. Yet, that allows for uninterrupted service unless you want to be! I'll be returning here upon my next visit to Nashville FOR SURE!

Came here for a birthday meal with husband and friends! It's literally been years since I have been to a Bartaco! CONSISTENT - Listen their guacamole is still one of the best around! So so good! Their "chips" are super unique/break your own tortillas into chip pieces!! I wasn't a huge fan of the salsas but everyone else loved them. MOCKTAIL/COCKTAIL - I got the ginger grapefruit mocktail and it was divine, highly recommend! Husband said the Margarita was good too! TACOS - My favorite was the cauliflower taco and I am not a raw cauliflower lover. The sauce was perfect! Order it as is. I said sauce on the side and just dipped it, but it was so good! Husbands favorite was (top) crispy pork closely followed by (next) duck! BLACK BEANS - this was a miss for me bc they were pretty flavorless. DESSERT - Free birthday key lime pie cup was phenomenal! Even if it's not your birthday ORDER IT! You wouldn't regret it! SERVICE - So great! I love the idea to put the card up so they know when to come check on you! So no one is hovering over you or never checking in! Love! Super great experience! AMBIANCE - love the boho decor, feels super cozy and upscale!

The food was fresh, made to order and delicious. I loved it. My favorite taco was pork belly. The salsa and guacamole is delightful. The duck birria is a fave as well. You must try and tequila flight. Great service from Chase!

This place provided me with one of the best bites of the week. The service was friendly and they were able to accommodate all my allergies. The chef came out and told me what had dairy in it and everything was pretty much gluten free. The pork belly tacos were an absolute grand slam! Great flavors. Great crisp. The other tacos: duck, chorizo were also good but I dreamt about those pork belly tacos that night. The place was clean and organized well.

If you're in Nashville and not eating at Bar Taco, you're doing it wrong. These tacos? Absolute perfection. Fresh, flavorful, and packed with everything you want in a bite. Every single one I tried was on point no weak links, just straight-up taco greatness. The vibe is cool and laid-back, making it the perfect spot to kick back and enjoy some top-tier eats. The staff? Super friendly they keep the good times rolling. And the margaritas? Dangerously smooth one sip, and suddenly you're ordering another round of tacos (not that you needed an excuse). It does get busy, and parking can be a gamble, but trust me it's worth it. Once you take that first bite, nothing else matters. If you love tacos, Bar Taco is a must. Go hungry, order everything, and thank me later : )

I was just so impressed with this place. Everything was actually perfect. These were the best tacos I have ever had, the servers were fun and the vibe is really cool. Would highly recommend.

First time here but I will definitely be back. A little pricey, but the tacos (think fancy street tacos), chips and guacamole were all excellent. As was the salt margaritas. Fresh and interesting menu with many choices for hot sauce. Service was also very good, and attentive. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options as well.

The pork belly taco was delicious and the drinks were to die for. The service was also great and all of the food arrived in a timely manner. I really liked the añejo old fashioned, so you should definitely try it when you go!

So glad to have another location!! I never find myself going to Bartaco, because I don't want to brave 12 South. The vibe of the restaurant is the same, but we've been able to walk-in and sit down every time. Everything was so delicious, as usual!

I was here with a large group and it was great that we were all able to get a table! The space is lovely and the employees were great. I appreciated that you could order from your phone - nice for a big group! I think the food is fine, but the portions are so small and it's so expensive. I would come back for another big group event, but otherwise, I'd prefer more bang for my buck, so to speak.

Great place for fusion-flavored tacos in Nashville. We went there for an early lunch and were able to walk in and secure a lovely patio spot -- by the time we left the place was packed! We tried multiple tacos, including the roasted duck and pistachio cauliflower. All of them were tasty and none of them I wouldn't recommend. The only thing we didn't like was Bartaco's take on online ordering. You still get a paper menu and explanation by staff but initially can't order through them. When you have a question or an issue, you're asked to put an assistance card of a stand for personnel to see. Since we were international visitors, we couldn't order online and had to go through the process of trying, asking for more help, and ordering through the staff anyways.

Everything we ordered was delicious; The Tajin Pineapple with Lime has to be my favorite! I was a big fan of the Mobile Ordering too. Favorite Dishes: Spiced Chicken Verde Tacos, Tajin Pineapple with Lime, Watermelon Basil Smash Cocktail

Love this place. Definitely a little touristy but the tacos are amazing. Bowls are great. Most importantly, the margs are some of the best in nashville! Love their spicy marg. Great service too.

I will start off by saying that I gave a 4 star review only because of the size of the tacos, so you have to order 3 to 5 tacos and the $ can add up. Everything else was awesome. Fresh and tasty tacos and we tried quite a few different tacos. The staff were friendly and the service was good. You can scan the barcode on the table and order or you can get a card with all menu items and select what you want to eat. The interior is inviting and I got a good vibe from it. They have some covered outdoor tables. Our sever told us that all of the drinks with juice are fresh squeezed and you can tell that all of the ingredients on the tacos are prepared fresh. They offer tacos, bowls, sides and desserts. They also have some margaritas, bottled beer, sangria and wine. There is some street parking and there is a pay lot behind the business and across the street. The food is fresh and I will definitely go back.

Food was incredible and the service was unmatched! I have severe nut and seed allergies and the manager Matt brought out me an entirely edited menu of what is safe for me. So incredibly kind!!

Decided to come to this East Nashville location since we were there having a foodie day. I've been to the 12 South location & remember loving it. This time around, not so much. Food was just meh. Some only had a couple pieces of meat. It took a while to get our food also though the place was not packed. I was disappointed since I raved about the one on 12 south & looked forward to eating at this location.

This place was great, and they have the ordering experience down to a science. I was waiting for a show to start at the basement East and decided to walk down to grab a quick bite to eat. With the ordering system being on your phone and the speed that they bring it out, I was in and out of there in ~15 minutes. I ordered 3 tacos (pork belly, fried oysters, and roaster duck. All 3 were fantastic) and the tuna poke as well as a margarita. It all came super fast and tasted great! The staff has their roles down perfectly and everything ran like a well oiled machine. Would highly recommend to anyone needing a quick bite or even if you want to take you time and enjoy a nice meal with a group. They can really accommodate anything.

I came here with my sister today after going to a cycle class. I ordered the guacamole as a starter and then the oyster and Baja fish tacos. The tacos were really good and very flavorful. It's hard to choose favorite between them. There's a QR code on the table and you order items as you're ready. The food comes really quickly and you can pay online from the site once you're ready. There's a parking lot behind the restaurant. Most if not all the slots say it's for compact cars but everyone seems to park there making it very tight. There's also street parking if you can find and a paid lot nearby.

Came here with my sis. It was my first time at this location. Parking was a little easier than the location on 12th south. We waited for about 20 minutes. DJ came over and reminded that everything was made to order. He was very nice. Appetizer: large guacamole and crevice Meal: pork belly, Baja fish, and ahi tuna taco Drink: margarita no salt I will definitely be back to this location. The food was really good and the staff was very nice. Recommend for a group, solo, or small group.

Pretty restaurant in a great East Nashville location with overpriced drinks and teeny, tiny trendy tacos! (Our server definitely warned us they were small, which I appreciate.) They have something where you can order from your phone, I guess, where you can keep ordering while you hang out, but we just ordered from our server using their little paper order card where you tally up what you'd like to get. The fish taco was okay; I liked the fish and breading but the taco filling was a little gross and don't seem to go. Maybe it was made with tar tar sauce slaw? I'm not sure; the menu has no descriptions, but I was very much not a fan. I also got the cauliflower taco which was pretty good & the falafel one, which I think was partially filled with the cauliflower taco fixin's. But, the falafel balls were great! I'd get that one again. It was more filling than the others, too. Tried one of the Mocktails but it was in a skinny tall glass FULL of ice and barely any juice (maybe legitimately two sips) for about $8. So, maybe don't order that.

after reviewing the menu, i saw there were some tacos i could make vegan with some omissions. I placed a carry out order and the person taking my order was so helpful when I told him I was vegan. he had great suggestions and new how to modify the tacos for me. I also ordered a cucumber salad and a side of salsa. The cucumber salad was so good. It was the best part of the meal. The tacos were okay. They weren't very full and the corn tortillas were on the soggy side but the flavors were good.

OMG these are so crazy great. So much flavor in each one of them. I loved being able to pick a variety so I could enjoy a few of the many flavors they have. And the best is they have AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Loved all of them.

What the hell is this place supposed to be??? Mexican Asian? Got an ahi tuna rice bowl that was less than pedestrian. Bartender was cool, but overall it sucked and I will never eat there again.

Such great food! We had a very pleasant experience at Bartaco, located in the five point area of east Nashville. Street style tacos cooked and seasoned to perfection. I had the pineapple adobada, pork belly and baja fish taco and guacamole with chips. My favorite was the adobada - sweet and well balanced flavors. The pork belly had a little kick to it. Definitely recommend both! The only thing I didn't love was the ordering/checkout system: QR code and online pay tab - but I understand the advantages for the staff. The decor is great and adds to the cozy yet stylish ambiance.

Great job bar taco- east! One of my go-to restaurants. Tacos are great, gaucamole is so good and fresh- wish they had queso, but having great gaucamole will make up for that. Top tier margaritas!! Not feeling alcohol? The limeaid is also super good! Be sure youre comfortable with online ordering, if you arent just let your waiter/waitress know and they will take your order at the table!

If you've ever been to the Bartaco chain you know exactly what you're getting into. Sit down, but you order through your phone (a great choice for a date where you don't feel rushed to make decisions or be bothered by a waiter). This location does have a small parking lot behind it where you can validate your parking in the restaurant! Food is consistent and the esquite is my favorite! A great assortment of tequila and mezcal drinks as well!

I've been wanting to try Bartaco for quite some time and finally did, at this newer (East Nashville) location. Overall, I was very impressed and will definitely come back to try everything I didn't get the first time! Tacos are all $3-$5. Each is small(ish) but full of great ingredients and each packs a ton of flavor. There's no skimping on quality--tacos are small because the ingredients are quality. Our server recommended ordering 3-4 per person. I went with 4 and a few sides: the Tuna Tatako in a bibb lettuce wrap--absolutely terrific; the pork belly--crispy, meaty, excellent; fish taco (ditto); and the surprise recommendation, squash blossom taco: tempura squash with miso and corn, surprisingly great and on par with all of the others which were each easily 5 star tacos. Forgive me for my disjointed sentences, these tacos were just all so good! I added an order of Mexican street corn on the cob which might be the best serving of that great dish I've ever had. I also ordered the chips with guac, rojo, and verde. The chips are served as full baked tortillas you break off and dip into each salsa. My favorite was the verde which my wife didn't dig at all (but she loved the roja). I really want to try the plantains as well as the duck, chorizo, and chicken tacos the next time I'm here. I also tried a standard/classic margarita and it was good--short, stout, quality. The type of margarita that isn't just a tall glass of pre-mixed sugar syrup but is instead a fresh lime, tequila palette cleanser. My wife dug the pork belly tacos as much as I did and our dining companions raved about the chicken as well as the chorizo ones. Regarding the falafel tacos, my wife said the flavor was on point but they were a bit difficult to eat (she thought it would work better if the falafel balls were cut in half to lay flatter but said she would definitely order them again). Reviews for Bartaco (both locations) speak of difficulty in getting a seat and long waits. By bizarre technical fluke, we ended up at both Bartacos on the same Monday evening. I used my GPS from the Bartaco website as I wanted to take the fastest route accounting for traffic and clicked the "east Nashville location", verifying the 1000 Woodland Street address; it directed us to the original 12th street location, proclaiming to us "you have arrived" as it flashed the 1000 Woodland address, bizarrely. There was ample street parking around 12th and we were seated quickly (not busy), served water, before realizing our dining companions were at the other location (the one we thought we had navigated to). My phone's GPS still proudly proclaimed we were at 1000 Woodland though we were well aware this was not the case. A refresh on the phone and a ten minute drive later, we were actually at our intended location! The East Nashville Bartaco had a 30 minute wait (probably because it's newer), parking was much spottier, but the food was the same. As to the infamous QR code situation, both locations use that--you have to order and pay via your phone (don't forget to pay at the end and add your tip, your initial log in is just to place a hold on your card). While I would prefer to order from the server directly, it worked just fine. Our server was still attentive, making recommendations, dropping off food, clearing away empties, etc. Clean, good decor and overall good environment indoors and outdoors. The music is a bit on the loud side if you're having conversations, though. Food is all fairly priced if the cocktails are a bit on the pricey side.

Good atmosphere, service and food. Lots of flavor and the ability to mix and match the tacos of your choice which is great. Started with the Guacamole, Tojo and Verde trio. It was under whelming. The red salsa was ok, the Verde had good flavor and both were a little on the spicy side for staple salsa. Nothing too spicy but more hot than average. Guacamole was good but not much for $15. The chips were flat tortilla that you break to size. Chips were decent but a little dry. Taco's were excellent. Tuna, spicy verde chicken, pork belly and Baja fish were all tried and all were really good. Tacos are on the small side , but priced appropriately so you can mix and match a taco combo for your tastes. Each were good. The chicken was my favorite and was less spicy than the Verde salsa but had great flavor. Pork belly was nice and crispy and flavorful- but might be too sweet to have more than one or two. Fish is fried and crispy and tuna was delicious. Drinks were the Cazuela which was great and the House margaritas which was lonely and very weak. Service was excellent and helpful with recommendations. Location in east Nashville was great for grabbing a bite while exploring this section of town

Where to begin with this restaurant! Firstly, the ordering system is really easy - you scan a QR code to open a tab and can keep adding food and drinks throughout your meal. It made it really easy for us to try a large variety of tacos! Onto the tacos, they're delicious! The Baja Fish taco and Tuna Tatako were two of our favorites (the crunch on the fish was amazing and the tuna was incredibly light and refreshing). We tried a few more tacos like the Brussels Sprouts and Chile-Lime Shrimp - all pretty solid. The restaurant itself was beautiful with the hanging lights - if you're looking for a spot to catch up with friends or for a date night, I would highly recommend!

We were excited to check this place out because it was highly recommended by the locals. I noticed they had happy hour & I made sure we went specially for that. Unfortunately Happy Hour only applies if you sit at Bar. There were 5 of us & it just couldn't to fit us all at the bar, on barstools. This caveat makes it really hard to enjoy happy hour here. Ordering at this place was not user friendly if you've never been here before. You order from a QR code. Easy for the younger generation but not for my parents generation. We started out with the trio chips & salsa. The chips come out as 6 or 7 full sized corn tortillas. Nothing was broken so you just have to break the chips up yourself. Such a weird concept that none is us enjoyed. The guac & Roja salsa were the group favorite from the trio. The Glazed pork belly taco was the best taco! It has a crusted glaze that everyone liked. Spiced chicken verde was good but not too spicy. Sesame ribeye was good, we added pineapple habanero sauce to this. Half the group reply like this pineapple habanero sauce. I had a mushroom with queso fresco & it was a little spicy for me. I don't do spice well though. Cauliflower taco was good, I ordered it without spicy sauce. I ordered esquires as well, which is essentially Mexican street corn off the cob. This was my favorite part of the meal. Rough review because the food was good, but the happy hour limitations & ordering on our phone was a disappointment.

Stopped by the east Nashville location with friends on a Saturday night. The wait was much shorter than trying to get into the 12 South location. The restaurant is super cute and dimly lit in the evenings for great ambiance. This is a great spot for a date or with friends. The staff was helpful in picking our margaritas and guided us to great selections. The food was amazing as always. My go to order is the guacamole as an app and the pork belly and duck tacos. You cannot go wrong with that order. We started with the quac and salsa and really all three were good. The round fresh chips are always crunchy and delicious. The waiter brought us extra after we devoured them. The pork belly tacos are what dreams are made of. We had a few other items I hadn't tried before, pineapple with tajin, yum, elote was okay, fried plantains dessert style which come rolled in cinnamon and sugar with chocolate dipping sauce. Nom nom yes please.

I was recommended to come here for the best tacos in town and I wasn't disappointed. The food was phenomenal and the selections on tacos are amazing. So many different options and everything I had was great. Hard to pick a favorite. We will definitely be back. The service was great too. Manager Aaron (DJ) was the best.

I can't rave about this place enough! Margs are so fresh, pork belly tacos, lunch special, the service, chill ambiance, everything was great! My two friends and I had big suitcases from the airport and went here to wait for our group's air BnB. They were so nice and held our suitcases for us while we ate. Our bartender was so cool! She gave us great and honest recs and I don't remember her name, but she plays hockey! She was awesome and so helpful!!! Pork belly tacos: YES! So bomb! Get one or six! Margs: so good & fresh!! Lunch tray (fish & rice bowl and soup): There were no crumbs left! My friend got a salad with hers and it was also good! We have zero complaints and want to come back!

Y'all I just love this place. I sat at the bar they made me feel welcome and at home. The staff is so pleasant and friendly. The food is always incredible. So we went to BarTaco in Nashville for the first time this past August. We chose this place because we have a little dog and wanted a pet-friendly restaurant. We were sat immediately and without asking, they brought water for my little dog. The gentleman who seated us welcomed us and explained that everything was "scratch-made" in house. We had some apps and various tacos. Steak, chicken with duck confit. YUP. DUCK CONFIT!!! You had me at scratch-made buddy. All the food was just so tasty. Well seasoned and cooked perfectly. We were made to feel so welcomed and relaxed. We should thank the whole staff. In particular, Chris. He was just so charming. Not only Chris, but everyone in the restaurant had their eyes open. Taking care of customers and running this tight ship. Chris informed us that there are other locations just up northeast where we are from. They also made me the most delicious and smoky Mezcal Margarita. I know where I am going for dinner next time we are in Nashville. This was truly a very special experience.

Been going to a lot of the food spots around 5 points ever since I moved here a few years back. The bars and local restaurants have always provided great service and good food. This location for bar taco opened in the last couple months, my girlfriend and I have been wanting to try this place ever since we saw it since we both love tacos. Walking inside it's a nicely lite environment with friendly staff, finding a table didn't take long even on a Friday afternoon. Now we get to the important part, the food. Now I realize that restaurants are trying to make as much of a profit as possible (I work in the industry as well) but this place left us both laughing. 3 inch tacos half filled for $6, hard tortillas shells for 'chips' and salsa, I'll just stop there. I'll give it to them it tasted decent enough but again the pricing for what you get was laughable. Walked down the road to a dive bar and got better tacos twice as big for roughly the same price. If you want to buy 12 $5 tacos to actually fill up I highly recommend this joint. Otherwise save your time and money and look elsewhere.

Rudest customer service ever experienced and we eat out a lot. Having guests visiting they were excited about dining here as we had a lovely experience in the past and they couldn't wait to return. The restaurant was not crowded during this afternoon however we were made to feel we were an inconvenience to the gentleman who was seating us who was also the acting manager on duty. This is embarrassing for Bartaco in that the lasting impression of hospitality was absolutely disgusting and discourteous. Left even before being seated.

The same great food but what is going on with this QR.... Get it together. The QR is supposed to work in combination with hospitality. The runners and servers drop your food and walk away. The manager walks around on his phone making small talk but not actually managing anything to improve. QR is supposed to aid servers not replace them unless that's Bar Tacos' goal. This new location needs some serious FOH training and management.

Good food. But you have to place your own order and pay your own bill. No true service unless you're at the bar.
