What a great vibe great personable staff and manager. They all made sure to stop by and have a quick word. Now the food phenomenal I had the 3 taco meal with chopped salad. Super delicious then I went for extra and ordered the ceviche. Every thing had such a flavor pop. I can wait to go here again.

We enjoyed it so much we came back again within the same week! The food is good and fairly priced, the service was friendly and efficient, and it’s just a nice looking restaurant. They’re also very family friendly with a “kids tray” that gives a nice variety and is served on a frisbee to take home. I enjoyed their chopped salad with chicken, street corn, tacos, and the best coconut ice cream you’ll come across!

As a first visit, I was unimpressed and have no desire to return for a second visit. We sat at the area around the bar, 2 people. We were handed menus and told someone would be around to take our order. We wrote our selections on the menu form…. 25 minutes and not one person came by to take our drink or food order. I found someone to ask and they said I needed to take it to the bar… okay. Brought the order form to the bar and ordered our drinks. 20 mins later we had 4 of the 5 miniature tacos we ordered. Trying to get our bartender’s attention to get the missing taco was impossible. I had to ask one of the bussers. Missing tacos arrives, we eat, finish our drinks and want to pay our bill. Same issue as before - our bartender was occupied flirting with ladies at the bar and showing them things on his phone. We were finally able to pay and leave. The best part of the restaurant was the hot sauce selection. The tacos were unimpressive in size and taste. We ordered corn tortillas and bib lettuce as a wrap. The bib lettuce was wilted and torn making it difficult to get off the platter. We ordered mushroom, shrimp, crispy fish, pork belly and carnitas.

Food is right here. Great options for kids. Tacos are made perfectly. Must try them all. Guachamole is great. Ambience is nice overall, many tables for 2. Restroom are little under dimensioned considering of how many guests are possible to fit. Possible also take away food. Staff is nice and kind. Overall a very nice experience of dining. In summer the space outside is very nice. Is not possible to reserve tables here.

Google
The food is amazing. It stands out and has unique flavors. My go to is the street corn, chips and guac, chorizo tacos, and churros. The churros are absolutely amazing with the chocolate sauce. It’s crowded a lot and has a friendly cozy atmosphere for mingling and families. The parking is a little annoying otherwise, everything about this place is a high recommendation!

Google
Good food, good service, nice atmosphere, easy parking. Wide selection of tacos and other Mexican dishes. Staff very friendly and service was quick. Very reasonable prices. Lunch for 5 was less than $120 all in including tip. Outdoor seating is shaded and was comfortable even in July. Should definitely stop in when in Port Chester.

Google
This place is absolutely enjoyable. The food was good, they had healthy options, gluten friendly. The drinks were top notch 👌🏽 the environment was packed!! The service was extremely prompt, especially when it came to the kitchen. You order on your phone through QR code or with pencil and paper. It can be separate orders/same order for the party at your table - and that got a little confusing, but other than this it was a fun outing. On your way out, grab their souvenir, a box of matches with their logo. Very cool.

Google
I've been going to Bartaco for over a ten years and ive never had a bad meal here. During my last visit I had the retro pork tacos and they were delicious. The house margarita is one of my favorite drinks and its still tastes good. Also the plantains with the sauce are also a favorite of mines this location is by the water so its a definite vibe for summer time

Yelp
I love coming to bartaco! There's a huge parking lot that is ALWAYS FULL. Get on the wait list via the app before you come because it's always busy! This lessens the wait. We love to sit outside. So cozy and great vibes but it can get loud. We always order through the QR code so you can pay for your food right then and there and you don't have to wait for someone to come take your order. Their guacamole is amazing. The tortillas amazing. I love all of their tacos, especially the pork belly and the ahi tuna, and I can't wait for the lobster to be back, because the lobster taco is awesome! I also had coconut ice cream in a cone and it was the best. I've tried their churros and their key lime pie, as well as the cucumbers and plantains. All super awesome!

Yelp
The place is well known and loved, specially with their different locations. I hadn't been in one in years so it was nice to meet up with friends to have dinner and catch up. The place doesn't take reservations so it's probably a good idea to anticipate waiting and or get there early. We went of course on a Friday night, and it was packed but the wait time wasn't terrible so that was a win. It was 3 of us and we kinda already knew what we wanted so as soon as they seated us, we scanned the QR code at the table and went to town. The cool thing about that is that you can look at the menu that way, and order separately so no need to take out a calculator and divide the bill! The food did take a little bit of time to get to us and one of my friends actually got the wrong order, which was quickly solved so it was fine, the staff was really nice. I ordered a shrimp taco, a fish taco and a steak taco. The shrimp taco was tasty except... IT WAS SOOOO SPICY!! I couldn't fully appreciate the flavors :/ , the menu didn't say anything about having any spice, and as much as I enjoy spicy food, this was NOT enjoyable, it was beyond hot, so disappointing because it had such potential but it was torture, the spicy sauce should be on the side so you can adjust how much heat you want in your taco! .... So if you don't like anything spicy, avoid this taco at all cost! The fish taco was good, it had good flavor but nothing special, the steak taco was also ok, just ok, maybe I'm bias having a Mexican background but I've had better tacos, socially because of how overpriced they were. To drink I had still water and a grapefruit carbonated drink and that was refreshing. For dessert I went for the classic mint chocolate chip and again, nothing special, just ice cream in a cute little aluminum bowl. The place was packed, and the waiters/waitress were busy but they kept checking on us which was nice, the ambiance was chill, most people were dressed casual but others a bit more formal. The place is really cute, the lights in the ceiling give it a nice touch with the dimmed setting. I think this place is a nice and hip place to come for drinks or a good time with your friends, if you want something cute and upscale looking, you'd enjoy this place but if you are looking for quality of food for your buck, I'd honestly save my money and go somewhere else. Would I come back? Yeah I would, but probably not hungry lol .

Yelp
Food: Good -- nothing mind-blowing, but it hit the spot. Service: Super friendly and on point. Ambiance: Cute little spot right on the water -- can't beat the view. Value: Cheap and solid for what you get. Overall Rating: (4/5) Notes: Good food, great drinks, cute location. Not life-changing, but I'd come back without hesitation.

Yelp
Always love a trip to bartaco! This was my first time at this location, but I love that no matter which you go to you're going to get the same quality ingredients and delicious margs! We sat at a couch right on the water and it was beautiful. The watermelon mint margarita special was delicious! The small guac and chips was perfect for 3 of us. We also got 3 tacos each and it was the perfect amount. I got the summer special chimmichurri ribeye and lobster tacos duo. I wish these were constants because they were SO good but hopefully they will be back next summer. I always loved the falafel taco so I had to get that too. I was catching up with friends and the staff was great about being attentive but also giving us time to catch up. It was a great dinner and I can't wait to come back soon!

Yelp
Bartaco in Port Chester, NY. It's#bartacoMargaritaMarch at Bartaco and there's no better place to have marg than at Bartaco! Truly one of my favorite places ever, Bartaco has vacation vibes all year round. The margaritas this month are all built around Libélula tequila--their custom blend that's smooth, balanced, and made for sipping. The tacos, guac and bowls always hit the spot and I can't wait to go back! Dos piñas margarita: Libélula Joven Tequila + Dos Hombres Mezcal + Pineapple + Lime. Watermelon mint margarita: Libélula Joven Tequila + Watermelon Combier + Mint + Lemon. Guacamole and Chips: hand-mashed avocado, lime juice, serrano chiles, onions, and cilantro. Kale Chips: ancho chile seasoned and roasted kale chips w/ vietnamese inspired dipping sauce Esquites: sweet corn kernels tossed with cotija cheese in a creamy and tangy mayo sauce and topped with cayenne Sesame ribeye taco: shaved ribeye beef marinated in a sweet sesame-soy sauce, topped with spicy kimchi and cilantro Chile-lime shrimp taco: spicy and tangy chile-lime marinated shrimp resting on a crisp and bright jicama escabeche and finished with a zesty pepita salsa macha. Crispy oyster taco: shucked and fried oyster served over a remoulade sauce. Pork belly + crispy rice bowl: braised pork belly caramelized in sweet arbol chile glaze + sesame bean sprout salad + pickled red onions + crispy rice. chicken verde rice bowl: chile + herb marinated chicken + roasted corn + tortilla chips.

Yelp
Service is always friendly. The vibe is upbeat, sometimes loud, but happy energy. Food is delicious!! Oyster tacos are the best!!

Yelp
Great spot with lively atmosphere. They have a big indoor and outdoor covered area for seating. There is a big parking lot right next to it with free parking. Lots of staff, the place is constantly busy. Ive only come during weekends for lunch, but it's consistently packed. You can order a bunch of individual tacos and other items. I like the fish taco and the guac. They have some rotating specials depending on the season.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday evening. Very crowded, as expected. The drinks were very good. I love the option to pay as you order from the menu. That was a real plus, especially if you have a large party. Everyone can pay for themselves and there will be no issues with the bill. The tacos were VERY small. Mine were a little cold but they were seasoned well. The prices were decent. Would I come back? Ehh i've had better tacos so not so sure I would visit again. Wasn't bad, but nothing spectacular.

James P.

Yelp
It's "Bar" and "Taco". As tacos go, they're good. I'm not sure what "great" would mean for a taco, but they're good. A step above fast food and a step below something exquisite. Basically, they're fine. Now, as for the "bar" portion of the place, the drinks are horrific. I'm not saying this to be dramatic or sensational: they are about the worst pours of alcohol I've ever had. There's virtually no alcohol in the drinks, whatsoever. On what planet do you have half dozen drinks and get no buzz at all? For what they are charging, they need to do better. The drinks are laughably weak. Will I ever order from there again? Maybe. Will I ever sit down there and let them overcharge me for drinks: not a chance in hell.

Yelp
Stopped by Bartaco yesterday afternoon to catch up with a friend, and I'm so glad we did! It's a place I've always heard about but never got the chance to try. The space is big and airy we sat on the outside deck, and there was music playing inside, which added to the vibe. I really loved the ordering system you order and pay right from your phone, but there were still servers around and ready to help whenever needed. The food was so good! We started with the guac and tostadas, which were delicious. The margaritas were perfect so fresh and natural-tasting. I had both the classic and the pomegranate flavors, and they were amazing. For tacos, I got the shrimp lime, chicken verde, and al pastor. I enjoyed all three, but the shrimp really stood out. The tacos are on the smaller side, but they're packed with flavor. I'd definitely go back! If you're in the mood for a chill, easy taco spot with fresh food, this is it. Honestly, I wish I had come up with the concept myself LOL. (I usually take pics of my food, but I was having such a good time catching up with my friend that I didn't get any!)

Yelp
I'm starting this review even before my tacos come out. All I've gotten is the sweet iced tea. And let me say that my expectations are HIGH because my reception at this place--my first time here--was nothing short of spectacular. The sweet woman who quickly walked out to greet me had such great demeanor, I thought she might be the owner. She asked my preference for a paper menu vs an online ordering system. Since you need to fill out the quantities, I opted to save the paper and do it on my phone. Since the place just opened (11am Monday), I had my pick of the place and sat at a 4 top right next to the water. Had I not looked at Yelp, bro... I'd probably have wound up at the Diner on Main Street. No thanks! Frankly, I'm amazed this place has only gotten 4 stars. It looks from reviews like they are plagued with some shoddy servers and bartenders, which could indicate a lack of management presence in the front of house at times. I'm so excited though. I ordered a couple of Brisket tacos, a couple of pork belly taco, a duck taco, a sesame ribeye taco, and a Tuna Tatako taco. The food took about 15 or 20 minutes to come out and out was worth every moment. Here are my thoughts: Brisket tacos: pretty good; meat a little dry. pork belly taco: very good. Roasted Duck taco: a little plain but OK. Sesame ribeye taco: DELISH! My favorite because of the kimchi (cabbage) topping. Tuna Tatako taco: my second favorite. The sauce on this is excellent. Served in lettuce wrap instead of a tortilla! I didn't add any extra sauce to any tacos... sometimes a little lime juice. You don't need to add anything to the Tuna... fantastic all by itself. I was fantasizing about working here while having lunch. That's how good my experience here was. Molly (the gal who originally greeted me) came by to check in with me just after I finished my first taco. Having owned restaurants of my own in the past, I can tell you that this place checked ALL the boxes. 2 additional servers introduced themselves to me during my meal, and I interacted with each of them twice. Service was great. Molly just came back, and seeing that I only finished half my carafe of Ice Tea, she brought over a disposable cup with ice and a biodegradable straw. I didn't even have to ask... she anticipated the need. That's what service is ALL ABOUT. Watch and learn, people! Such a shame I live about 40 minutes from this place (without traffic). I think this would be my new favorite spot. I might have to move.

Yelp
We had a really great lunch here! Of course, I had to have a margarita which was fabulous, fruity and not overly sweet. For appetizers, we ordered the chips and salsa Verde and the sauce was fresh and tangy. I got the lunch special of the three tacos and the chop salad. The duck taco was really moist and had great flavor. The Cauliflower taco with the hummus was also very creative. Our waitress was really efficient and very nice. It was, overall, a delicious lunch!

Yelp
Bar Taco has several locations but it's basically a Hudson Taco closer to the city or for the Greenwich crowd. It's got the Beachy rustic theme, exposed wood cool vibe. Going on a Saturday night meant a 45 min wait but we 4 huddled around the empty bar stool we found and that slowly lead to two more becoming available. While waiting we had the guac which was fresh and delicious, not much added to it, a pretty straight forward recipe, and some margaritas. I watched as the bartender freshly squeezed all of the juice and honestly that really makes the drink. Fresh ingredients. We tried regular and spicy margs and the spicy marg is my favorite. The bartender recommended the duck birria, so when we got to our table, I ordered that and Baja and shrimp tacos. I also decided to try their pineapple seasonal drink but honestly it didn't slap the same so I asked to swap it for the spicy marg and they did which was nice. The Baja tacos didn't leave an impression, and neither did the shrimp so moving forward I will probably stick with a spicy marg, guac and duck birria. A friend got the street corn (we love a street corn) and another got the chicken salad (bone in, come to find out) and that was pretty good. They no longer have paper ordering, it's all through a QR code and you put your card info in up front and then they bring you food as you order it from your phone. I have a love/hate with this system but just know that's what you're getting into. Sat night also has a DJ come at 9:30 which was shortly before we left so that was a fun note to leave on.

Yelp
I came on a very busy holiday weekend evening. Bartaco is one of the only establishments open past 9pm on Sundays in town. The bar was incredibly packed, and the music was loud. It was hard to find a bartender who would take our order. It took a very long time for my margarita to be made. It was tasty, but I got rosé the second time to reduce the wait time. Bar is first come first serve. I'm not sure how food seating works, but it was also pretty packed. My friends and I ended up drinking outside. I liked perching by the water, though there are also Adirondack chairs situated for chatting. One extra star to the bartender who came to find me outside after I left my card at the bar. He didn't have to find me, and the gesture was deeply appreciated.

Yelp
I LOVE this place. This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants. I have gone many times and it never disappoints. A friend who lives in the area brought me here the first time and I was hooked. They have an easy ordering system where you can order on your phone and add as you go. Some of my favorites are the Reviver drink and the tuna taco. I loved the Reviver so much, I have recreated it at home. I got the Paloma this time. The ahi tuna tatako has always been my favorite because the flavors work so well together. We always start off with the street corn or esquites. I have tried all other tacos and all choices are delicious. My second favorite would be the duck because of the glaze. So good! They bring out the food really fast. I have also been to their West Hartford location in Connecticut which was just as good. This location is always pretty busy but the wait is always worth it. Definitely join the online waitlist before going.

Yelp
Bartaco is one of my go to restaurants. If you're ever in doubt always choose bartaco. The place is huge and very beautiful, it is always packed but there is never a long wait. You order off the QR code and pay your bill online, you never have to wait for the waiter which is a plus. I ordered the espresso martini which I didn't love but the watermelon margarita is delicious. They added a butter lobster taco which literally melts in your mouth! The crispy shrimp taco is definitely my favorite and literally why I come here. The maduros (sweet plantain) comes with this like garlic aioli dip that is soooo delicious! Everything is tapas style and very affordable. It's a drive but definitely worth it!

Yelp
After a couple of years we're back enjoying the nautically themed Bartaco of Port Chester. Yes, they are still serving up fresh delicious tacos that we love: crispy baja fish, fried oyster, shrimp, duck, pork belly, with luscious green chunky guacamole + chips along with ice cold resposado margaritas adorned with freshly squeezed limes. This time we tried their awesome chopped salad with well seasoned roasted chicken - it is delicious! **Music is still good** **The place is fun. There's outdoor seating with heated lamps!** *Our servers made us feel welcome again!* :) **Thanks for reading!**

Yelp
Quality taco spot with a casual/upscale vibe. The ambiance is pretty easy going. You can order on your own from your phone and the food comes out as it is ready. The method is super convenient for groups. You can order on your own or split the check through one order. If you get hungry you can always go back for more! The duck quesadilla was one of my favorites. Crispy and flavorful duck with melty cheese and a side of this duck sauce. Super great! For the tacos, my two favorites were the pork belly and sesame ribeye. The shrimp was ok, not my favorite. Great for a date or friends night out!
google avatar

Cate T.

Yelp
Bartaco is honestly one of my favorite spots, and the Port Chester location is definitely the best in the area--honorable mention to Westport. I don't think there's anything else nearby when you can get such yummy food in a beautiful, bustling outdoor setting at such a good price. I understand why some people take issue with the QR code ordering system, but you can also use paper menus! It's so convenient for splitting checks & fast. I am NEVER disappointed with their food and can't speak badly on any taco (my recent fave is the chili lime shrimp) and especially love the drinks. Seriously such a good spot, the wait sucks but just grab a drink in their courtyard!

Yelp
Despite an early arrival of 5pm at this restaurant it was crowded and very noisy. That left us to dinning in the indoor covered dinning space that was heated with overhead space heaters . It was quiet at least but still a chill. Taco Food portion is very small Staff attentive but couldn't wait to get out. I left hungry

Yelp
Love this place - FOR EVER !! So many years and this place just gets better and better!!....its just a vibe with great food! ....Trust me!!

Joyce R.

Yelp
Ordered takeout. They texted me 35 mins. later for pickup. The taco were cold and tasteless. A waste of money. It is a very loud, chaotic atmosphere. It seems very unorganized.
google avatar

Yelp
From the food and drinks to the staff and everything in between, Bartaco has been consistently top-notch. The vibe is always great--welcoming and full of good energy. The managers, bartenders, and servers are very attentive and personable, and the new happy hour has been a fantastic addition--definitely one of the reasons I find myself there so often. Easily one of the best happy hours in the area. Shoutout to the entire team at Bartaco!

Yelp
We went with some old new friends on a very busy Saturday night. Yes there was a wait, but that is to be expected. Service was excellent, my water glass never went dry! Food was delicious and high-quality. Ambience was fine. Busy and loud on a Saturday night, like many places, but we were thrilled to be able to eat outdoors with a scenic view of the river. Can't wait to go back on a weekday and enjoy another meal!

Yelp
Wow! True authentic Mexican cuisine. Try every Taco, and the tortilla soup. Fantastic service at the bar by Chris. He's an animal!! Perfect cocktails, attentive service and wonderful sense of humor during an extremely busy Sat. afternoon. Jesse the bar mgr. is also fantastic. All in all just a fabulous place to spend a Saturday afternoon. They have outdoor seating for the upcoming Spring and Summer.

Ron T.

Yelp
This is a fun, casual restaurant with good food. Love the vibe and that it has indoor and outdoor seating. I think they winterize the outdoor season when needed. The food is good, but is fun and inexpensive. Three of us went yesterday for lunch. We split Guac and Kale Chips. The Guac was about average. Kale Chips had great spice on them but were a bit chewy. Tacos were good with Bibb Tuna and the Pulpo special very good. Although the food is not great, it is good, prices are great and the vibe is so fun. Service was good.
google avatar

Rebecca C.

Yelp
Yes yes and more yes. I love this consistency from each location. There was some confusion towards the end of our dining experience this round (3 drinks missed, 6-8 tacos never came)

Yelp
Food is a solid 10/10! Everything was so yummy. Highly recommend the shrimp and pork belly tacos. Also their guacamole is delicious -- recommend ordering one to share for the table. Spicy margarita was not spicy at all for me but still yummy. The wait time for the food was long but service and ambiance was great.
google avatar

Jennifer R.

Yelp
Let me start by saying this, THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!! 10000/10. Food never disappoint, we have almost everything that was recommended. We had lobster tacos which was bomb by the way, chicken, shrimp and pork belly tacos. We also had the corn off the cob forgot what its called. Spicy margarita, pomegranate lemonade and some desserts! I had the best coconut ice cream here! Our server went to us few times to check on if we wanted some thing. It was also very easy to order using their QR code. Our food arrived immediately, place is great and was full a bit noisy but the ambiance is very lively. We sat outside so we had a nice breeze and a view from the marina.
google avatar

Daniel G.

Yelp
Ah yes, taco's with a side of pretentious! The food is good, though there are so many places just as good or better in town. But the prices, wait times, and gimmicks is just too much. While the inside of the restaurant is nice, if you care about such things. But outside you get a "view" of the Byram river, which maybe Bartco thinks is a glorious beautiful thing and that's why the try and extort folks for a mushroom taco?
google avatar

Yelp
This place is fun no matter what time of the year it is. Once you get past the occasional cold food and new staff in training, this place is pretty good. The atmosphere is nice and you can eat outdoors at all times of the year. The food is pretty good when it comes out hot. The kitchen really let me down today but management did not. Management was great but the staff needs a lot of work both in and out of the kitchen. I would be happy to come back but not until the staff is better trained. The duck taco is honestly the best item on the entire menu. Overall B Food: C (came out cold twice) Atmosphere: A Management: A+ (fixed everything and very friendly) Staff: in training (and it shows). Never came over to try and remedy the situation, and only asked how things were from a distance after they saw the situation was fixed. The person who was supposed to be waiting on my table was in training and she really dropped the ball.

Yelp
Love this place!! Ambiance is very modern and trendy, catered towards young adults I would say. Very hard to get a table for dinner especially on Friday or Saturday nights. You can't make a reservation ahead of time, instead you go and put your name down with the hostess and they text you when a table is ready. I've waited for up to 1.5h before, but honestly I would say it's always worth the wait! This has been me and my friends go-to place since high school, and i still love it! They have other locations in Stamford and Westport which are the same. Very big menu, you order through a QR code on the table, and service is very fast. Everyone there has been so friendly and accommodating. My favorites are the street corn, duck taco, birria tacos, and the classic baja fish taco. You can't go wrong here everything is amazing!
google avatar

Laura H.

Yelp
I called and was put on the waitlist. Told it would be 20 minutes. When I arrived 20 minutes later, I was told another 35 minutes. The whole point of a waitlist is for them to hold a table for you. Left and went to eat around the corner which was much better
google avatar

Dana K.

Yelp
Great service, super packed on Friday night but they were very accommodating. Back covered porch is a great added space but gets very chilly (heat lamps warm your head but the extremities are on their own) Bit of a club vibe on the weekends, they bring in a Dj, too loud for my almost 40 year old ears but others seemed to enjoy it. Food comes out freakishly fast and is pretty spot on!

Yelp
Love the outdoor area in the back, such a great vibe in the summer. Situated right on the water, great for boat watching, a nice summer dining experience all together. The margaritas are delicious and the food is nice and light making it a great spot for summer time drinks/apps. The fish tacos are my favorite and the lobster tacos (Both warm and cold ones) are also delicious. Ceviche was good but the spicy cucumber salad and cilantro lime shrimp tacos were just OK. Also tried the roasted duck taco which was ok but had a hint of sweetness which I personally don't love. But overall, a place I love for the warmer months.

Rosemarie C.

Yelp
Food was delicious!!! But I'm assuming it was the floor manager (white older man not in uniform) he kept circling around our table and standing leaning on the back of our booth which made it very uncomfortable. I also requested a margarita with vodka which I do every time. He marched over said let me see your phone which was very uncomfortable to begin with and told me I need to do a bunch of other steps if I want to order a drink. Prior to him coming over the table he canceled my original drink order 10 minutes after I ordered it and made me re-order it putting me at the bottom of the list and I needed to wait another 15 minutes for my drink to arrive. The way he spoke was very condescending and made the entire table uncomfortable.

Yelp
Had dinner for the first time at Bartaco in Port Chester to celebrate a high school graduation last night. Great experience and food. Big shout out to the staff especially the managers Brianna and Oscar and our server Vanessa. All 6 of us in the party said we would definitely be back for more.

Yelp
the food is amazing. the taste combinations are perfect. the corn is amazing we love this place and have never had a bad meal. our bill is usually $80, so you know we are ordering a lot cuz everything is delicious!

Yelp
Food: 8/10 They had a wide variety of tacos to choose from. I enjoyed the lobster tacos the most. I wish I had gotten some guidance on what was best tacos - they had sauce at table that when you put on added a lot of flavor. Service: 7/10 It's one of the restaurants where you scan a qr code and order online instead of through a server. This did make ordering quickly and getting our food easier, but I'm not really a fan of that kinda service. I felt weird tipping 20%...(so I didn't) Ambiance - 8/10 It was pretty crowded with the copa going in at bar. Our table was super short tho. Like my knees were at the top of the table short- I felt kinda goofy the whole dinner, but I think we just got unlucky with table. All in all, enjoyed the dinner. It was one of only restaurants open late so was definitely our best option.

Yelp
I was initially worried about the parking, but there is plenty of parking in the back. The staff is super warm and genuinely care about your experience. I tried the mushroom, chorizo, and Korean beef tacos. All of them were excellent. The Korean kimchi tacos impressed me the most. The kimchi and sesame flavors complimented the tender beef wonderfully. The drinks were also wonderful. Bartaco is renowned for their margaritas and sangria. This was my first time at Bartaco and I was very impressed. From the warm service to the awesome food I will definitely return. This is a great place to come for small bites and drinks!

Yelp
LOVE BAR TACO. I have literally eatten at two three times in one week. This is one of my favorite comfort food, night out and just cause places. They also in my opinion service THE best margaritas. Ask for a sugar rim next time you get one!

Yelp
I went after work with a colleague to Bartaco. Although it was a cold winter evening, I could tell that most likely during the summer months, this place is popping. I started off with a house margarita (tip: happy hour specials are only served at the bar) and continued to order some delicious food. I liked how you ordered food through your phone so paying was easy and you don't have to worry about splitting any bills! I think the tastiest thing that I ate was the street corn off the cob. I would also recommend ordering the salsa trio, and as many tacos as you can fit in your stomach. They definitely had a good variety of tacos to choose from.

Yelp
(From Fall '23) This is my first time here. The host and wait staff are really friendly. The outdoor patio is large & inviting with a nautical style pit area and an outdoor bar. You can sit along the rail where you can see the boats traveling through the channel. The manager, Chad, was also very friendly. The problem is that I had to find out because the bar staff is messy. Literally. It was impossible to find a clean spot to sit & none of the FOUR bartenders who had a total of TWO customers at the bar could be bothered to wipe the bar down, even when I remarked aloud about the dirty bar. Their hands were comfortably stashed in their pockets. So even though we would have saved money by sitting at the bar for happy hour, I opted to sit on the deck for full price in the hopes of salvaging the experience. No, I'm not wealthy. But that's how turned off I was by the bar situation. I even questioned whether I should order a drink. Which brings me to a whole 'nother issue that I'll skip over since the manager did what he could to make things right. The only thing is that it wasn't offered to me. I had to negotiate for it. All this makes me wonder whether this place is more geared toward a party crowd than a dining clientele. Speaking of dining, Chad made excellent taco suggestions. The shrimp taco was tasty,l & spicy but not overwhelming. The Baja fish taco had a nice sized lightly crispy filling. The pork belly taco was addictively well-balanced between savory and sweet. The kitchen staff is killing it! They are the real MVPs. It wasn't a great overall experience, and we had to wait a good while before even getting our food order in. At least the kitchen was fast. I'd give it another chance only because of the manager. Yeah, the good was great. But this is NY. There are a lot of great food options. You go out for the full experience.

Yelp
My second time coming here and it was absolutely delicious again! Definitely join the waitlist online because it does get pretty packed. You can order and pay right on your phone which was a nice and easy process. There's music playing creating a lively atmosphere so note that it is quite loud. We got the duck birria, baja fish taco, crispy oyster taco, and shrimp taco. Everything was incredible but the baja fish taco was a standout with its delicious sauces. Would definitely come back!

Yelp
Cute spot with great food. I love that you can order single taco or side in every order so you can taste everything. Drinks looked nice and the service was quite peppy. Definitely recommend

Yelp
We got takeout because we had our dogs with us and the staff was so nice and helpful. We were staying only a few minutes away and so everything stayed fairly hot and was delicious. Next time, I hope that we can eat there because the restaurant is really cool inside.

Yelp
Hey bartaco NY! It's been 2 years since I wrote a review (I've been back a gazillion times) but this time I finally remembered to take a picture of the beautiful view...water, boats, just sooo relaxing. What is a beautiful view w/o my favorite tacos?!?! And I'm sooo happy the lobster taco is back on the menu...I want to try the lobster ceviche next visit.

Yelp
On 12/19/2024, around 8 PM, my friends and I began our 45-minute wait, excited to enjoy the food and drinks Bartaco is known for; that changed fairly quickly. While waiting, a friend and I decided to grab a drink at the bar. After waiting for 15 minutes to be attended to, I--22 years old with a valid license--was told by the bartender, "I cannot accept this," regarding my very real ID. Another member of our party experienced a similar issue, but when she asked to speak with a manager, her ID was approved. I then approached the manager myself, explaining the situation and showing him a photo of my passport for additional verification. His response was shockingly rude. He dismissed my ID as "sketchy" and claimed it "raises a lot of red flags." When I offered to show my passport photo as further proof, he curtly replied, "I have the right to refuse you, and that is EXACTLY what I am doing," in the most condescending tone imaginable. I am generally easygoing and avoid conflict, but this behavior was completely uncalled for. The lack of professionalism and blatant disrespect from the manager left a sour taste and ruined the experience.

Yelp
This place is the best! Pulled the boat right up and myself, my service dog and my friend were all warmly welcomed. Food was smashing, drinks were perfect, views and vibes were incredible and most importantly the manager Molly is a herooooooooo!!! She fixed a small boating injury better than an ER nurse. Cant Thank Molly enough! Bartaco for the win for quality food, great views, and incredible staff!
