The tacos were amazing—bursting with flavor. While the portion sizes felt a bit small for the price, the taste definitely delivered. Our order took a little while, and for a group of four, it came out in a somewhat scattered way, which left us a bit confused. Thankfully, the manager on duty was outstanding and quickly cleared things up. Overall, we had a great time. The experience was truly enjoyable.

Google
Happy hour prices were great! Service was friendly and open. The food and drinks were AMAZING. I got the chicken verde, crispy shrimp, and ahi tuna tacos with equites and a key lime pie for dessert. It was all good. I also got a lime mojito which was perfect. As soon as I sat down I was given water and a menu. I was able to order 2 minutes later, and received my food and drink 5 minutes later. I loved my experience here. Will definitely be coming back!

My cousin brought me here. I got the Duck two and fish tacos. It was AMAZING. The waitress was amazing a few staff members checked on us. Really love how careful they are about allergies as well!! Ive never experienced that level of care in a restaurant. The duck tacos are addicting!!! Also really loved the ordering process.

This is my first time to a bar taco. I like the ambience I did sit at the bar and that was kind of cool. I didn’t think that the restaurant was that full and that busy however, I think some of the service time was a little lengthy, the menu is sort of small, but you know it’s bar tacos so that tacos and the accoutrements that you would think of to go with that Everything I had was really good. I had the pork belly taco, the chicken taco and the beef taco and as I said, they were all delicious. I thought they were a little small. They were on corn tortilla though so I give them props for that and the chop salad that I had was actually really good and a decent size as well. I would definitely come back here and or go to another bar taco if I ever come across one and I really liked their sauces. They had the Rojo jalapeño and habanero sauces. I tried each one. They were all good. I think the jalapeño was my favorite as far as combination of good heat and good taste

Google
Offers a relaxed spot with tasty, good food and a cool ambiance. The tacos and sides are flavorful, and there’s a great variety to choose from. The ingredients are okay, and the food presentation is on point, but it would be nice if the flavors felt a bit more authentic to traditional Mexican street food. The ambiance is laid-back and enjoyable, though service could be a little more attentive. The staff is friendly but sometimes a bit slow, which can make for longer wait times. Overall, bartaco is a great spot for a casual outing with friends or family. With just a few tweaks to the service and flavors, it could be even better!

Google
Love visiting bartaco for its vibe! Highly recommend their margaritas, pork belly, baja fish tacos. My 2year old enjoyed their kids tray. Nice place to hangout with family and friends

I wasn’t in the best mood when I placed a carryout order on a busy Saturday night. I submitted it at 6:33pm, expecting a 15-minute wait, but the confirmation email said it wouldn’t be ready until 7:08. Already a bit frustrated, I showed up around 6:45, fully expecting a long wait—and honestly, I was prepared to be annoyed about it. But what happened next completely changed my perspective. I was directed to the pickup line, and the staff member there (wish I had gotten her name!) politely said the order had just come through and she'd check on it. I expected a typical “it’ll be another 20-30 minutes,” but instead, she returned to say the kitchen was working on it. Less than five minutes later, my order was ready—hot, accurate, and clearly made with care. The restaurant was packed, and yet the team moved with efficiency, kindness, and flexibility that you just don’t see often—especially in Northern Virginia. I was genuinely amazed. Bartaco earned a loyal customer. Next time, I’ll be more patient and trust the process instead of stressing over timing. What they pulled off that night was exceptional.

Yelp
My friend was craving tacos and suggested this place. This was my first time going and I liked how they are set up. We were greeted and walked over to our table quickly. Their system is similar to a fast food where you order and pay before receiving your food. They also have a "flag" system in getting a server to come around, so it felt like I was able to hold conversation with my friend better. The food came out quite quickly and there are sauce options at the table. I personally ordered their lunch platter option that is rice or salad with your choice of three tacos. There is also a rice bowl lunch option too. The caesar salad is made with kale and evenly dressed where it was not overly soggy. The tacos were filled to the brim with filling; I chose a chorizo, cauliflower and a baja fish. The chorizo had good flavor and was not straight spice. The cauliflower taco had pomegranate seeds and pistachio which I was not expecting but it worked. The fish was fried nicely where it wasn't too oily or dry. The batter was light and flaky and the fish was flaky. I did try the various tabletop sauces and my favorite was the red one. I unfortunately do not remember what the name is. I also heard they have a great happy hour and will have to come back for that.

Yelp
I'm from out of town and this was my first time at this establishment. I was meeting colleagues who happened to have gotten there earlier than expected so they were already sitting at the table. The only good thing about this place was the food was delicious and the drinks were tasty. The ambience was good nothing to complain about , loud as any other restaurant when people are gathered and talking in different sections. The service could be much better but then it's a cashless type of establishment that you order all your food and drinks online and all the servers do is bring the food and drinks to the table. There's hardly any interaction with the servers unless you stop them to ask for something. When I tried to get a service attention they came up to the table with an attitude and stated that we needed to place the card on the metal holder to get their attention. Like they ever mentioned it... especially to the party that came a little later!

Yelp
I cannot recommend this place enough - it truly hits the mark for any occasion, whether it be a casual hangout, romantic date, important business meeting, or catching up with friends. The ambiance is lively and vibrant, creating an atmosphere that is both energetic and comfortable. And let me tell you, the service here is unparalleled. The staff truly goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and taken care of. Even without a reservation, we were accommodated with ease. The hostess offered us a table, but we opted for the bar instead. Our bartender, Denisse, was an absolute gem. She was warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. She recommended some fantastic cocktails and dishes that we simply couldn't resist. We started with the passionfruit mezcalita, which was so refreshing that we ordered multiple rounds. And then, we dove into the menu. I decided to try a variety of tacos, and let me tell you - they did not disappoint. The roasted duck taco had a wonderful tamarind glaze and caramelized onions that added the perfect touch of sweetness. The pork belly taco was spicy and flavorful, and the crispy oyster taco was crunchy and delicious. The Baja fish taco, with its spicy tempura-battered cod and chipotle slaw, was an absolute standout. I loved it so much that I ordered four more! My girlfriend went for the chips and salsa verde, which were perfectly seasoned and fresh. She also ordered the chicken tacos, which were juicy and flavorful. And of course, we couldn't resist trying the cheese steak taco with Oaxaca cheese - it was a total winner. Overall, I can confidently say that this restaurant is a must-visit. The freshly squeezed pomegranate juice Paloma with tequila was the perfect finishing touch to an already incredible meal. Don't miss out on this gem in the Reston Town Center.

Yelp
I love soft tacos and well why not add drinks to the mix. Love the concept, order from the app and it comes to the table. This is a nice HH spot. All the tacos are good but baja fish , shrimp and chorizo were my favorite

Amy P.

Yelp
Great tacos. Love the grapefruit agua Fresca. The people are nice. And create a fun atmosphere.

Hillary F.

Yelp
Super trendy spot in a very lively part of town. They are extremely modern and have "in-app" ordering where you have minimal interaction with a server, it is all through the barcode on the table which was a little difficult to understand but once you get the grasp of it you just order away. The food was all really tasty with several taco options and customizations to choose from. The bar menu had many delicious mixed drink options. Good vibes and the perfect ambiance for a night out or a date.

Georgia S.

Yelp
Horrible service. They say they are understaffed, okay, but there was hardly anyone there. It took one person in my party 45 minutes to get a cocktail. After 20 minutes we had to remind them and then it took another 25 minutes to get made. Perhaps the bar was busy and understaffed but our waiter almost never showed up. We also had 3 people tend to our table of 5 people which I found strange but they never consistently came to check on us. The food was delicious and that's why instead of 2 stars I'm giving 3

Lipika G.

Yelp
I have been here twice and it has been such a good experiences each time. I really like the mushroom and falafel tacos. The fried plantains were not something I usually go for, but they were really good. The cocktails are also well made. I tried the espresso martini and paloma fresca. It was pretty loud in the restaurant so it was pretty hard to hear, but that was my only issue.

Maria-Elena T.

Yelp
Had a business lunch here. The three of us sat outside in the shade and it was nice. We started with the chips and salsa and guacamole. It was good. The chips at large and you have to break them Up. I got the Oyster, fish ,and steak taco. All were good.

Marjan W.

Yelp
Visited recently for lunch with a friend on a Sunday. Parking is easy in a lot nearby and was free; I believe on weekdays it's validated. We were seated quickly at a large booth with plenty of space. Ordering was through a QR code on our phones and this made it easy to separate payments and orders. I started with a winter caipirinha - not pictured. This was really delicious and had cranberry. I also got a kale Caesar (not pictured) and this was a pretty good size for only $3. For other food, I opted for the ceviche as I've been on a ceviche kick lately. I am picky about ceviche as I've had Peruvian and Mexican ceviche many times. This one really surprised me and made the mark. It had a lot of lime which is how I like my ceviche and great flavor! We also shared guacamole which is always excellent. For tacos, I opted for my usuals - the ribeye, Baja fish, and crispy oyster. All were excellent but the crispy oyster is my favorite. I then tried a taco off their secret menu -the slow roasted pork. This was excellent. Overall, I left extremely stuffed. Their tacos are small but don't let this be deceiving, as theyre packed pretty full. Paying was super easy with the QR code from our phones so we didn't have to wait to receive a bill. Highly recommend for a quick, but delicious, lunch or dinner spot!

Yelp
As alway the food is excellent here! Definitely a great taco spot! This was my first time having the street corn and glad I did it was super delicious! Service was great as always! The vibe is fun and has a great energy of music and aroma of delicious food!

Yelp
Phenomenal taco place in Reston. Great variety of top notch tacos, dips, and bowls. Amazing service. Definitely would try them again!

Anand C.

Yelp
Nice place to try and amaze your evening outing. Definitely stands out due to location in Reston town center. Make reservations ahead of time if you want to sit outside with your party, there's really no difference between in and out during summer as they open the wall doors. Bar is decent and cocktail quality can be improved. Taco's are nice. Do try their duck, pork belly, chorizo, shrimp and sesame ribeye. Chicken and Baja fish are slightly dry, will need sauces to enjoy it. Even if the dishes had similar main ingredients, each one has a likable unique taste. Attention to detail is really good. Rice bowls aren't great. Also note portion sizes, they are really small. So consider that when ordering. Atmosphere is nice. Staff is friendly and service is quick. Expect an average wait time on weekend nights. Sunday evenings are relaxed for dine ins. Takeouts are available. Abundant parking available. You'll never run out of spaces.

Yelp
Location Conveniently located on the corner of plaza in Reston. Parking Two nearby garages for free-plenty of room! Service Incredibly helpful and friendly! Atmosphere I love this place! Pictures ala buco de bepo. Outside and inside seating. Bar much like Healdsburg, Ca vibe. Casual but fun. Menu Scan or paper-I LOVE this system-raise the card when you want service and they magically appear! The menu offers something for everyone! Food and beverage We had tacos-fish( fried), duck, shrimp, chorizo, and chicken-ALL yummy! Margaritas under performed for me. Recommended IPA rocked it. Tres leche served in Small jar-VERY yummy!!! Coffee is french press-see photo. Smooth. We spitted the chips and salsa-large chips with salsa. Tables offer house salsa. Summary Great location. Do make call ahead reservation. Love the service-food AMAZING!!!

Yelp
About a year ago while in the area we had the luxury of trying bartaco. A year later and we haven't stop craving these tacos! So with that being said, we made a special trip to Reston just to have some. During that visit we tried several different tacos. Each one was mouthwatering, but our favorites were the fried oyster and the pork belly. These are literally THE BEST TACOS I've ever had. Each taco is about one or two bites and the quality of meat is great. For some people it's pretty pricey for the size. There isn't much customer service there. What we have experienced both times are... we arrive someone is at the door to seat us, we pull up the menu, order, and pay on our phones; someone random brings out the food. Another random person cleans up the mess, and that's it. No one was rude, but there was zero interaction, because no one was really assigned to the table. While most people don't like the ordering and paying on their own phones, I didn't mind it; however don't ask for a 18% tip when you didn't do anything but fix the food I paid for. But that's just me! Overall Score: 10/10 Location: Okay 7/10 Prices: Reasonable 8/10 Customer Service: Questionable 4/10 Food: Delicious 10/10 Normally the score would be based on each thing listed above and the overall experience, but the food is so good that it overrides ALL of that! Highly Recommend

Sara M.

Yelp
Bar taco has one of my favorite tacos. The glazed pork belly taco always steals the show for me. We also got the street corn bites. The food was delicious. However, we sat at the bar and it was difficult to get service. They were not too crowded but it still took around 10 minutes for someone to take are order. Getting another drink or the check took equally as long.

Vineela G.

Yelp
Ambiance: we love this place. Very friendly and cheerful staff. This place is always busy and be prepared to wait atleast for 20min on a weekend. As this place is always packed, it is quite loud too. Service is very fast and they are still using contact less ordering system which I think is great. They have crayons and other paper puzzles to keep the little ones entertained Food: We order corn off the cob and Panachos for dessert. Corn at bartaco is one of the best in the area. I have it every time I go there. Panachos is a tangy dish with bean and avocado served with nachos, it was very good. We tried pork belly taco, spiced chicken verde, baha fish taco, avocado taco, and oyster taco. Avocado taco was quite bland and lacked flavor. All the other tacos were delicious. Chicken and fish are my favorite. We had churros and tres leches for dessert, staff were nice to give us extra vanilla sauce for churros. Both the desserts are out of the world Parking: Free parking is available in all the parking garages around the restaurant. Or there is a paid street parking option you can pay via parkmobile

G K.

Yelp
I'm not here to ruin or destroy anyone's business but I walked in a few days ago and two waiters were literally standing talking to each other and completely ignored me. I awkwardly was looking at them and they still continued to keep talking to each other. A group of three came in after me and had to directly get their attention. I usually never have a problem with being greeted at any restaurant (no matter how pricey or nice the place is). It was pretty unbelievable. I had to leave a review so that a manager knows this is happening. I'll be nice and give you 5 stars but please fix this. A potential paying customer doesn't want to be ignored

Yelp
Bar Taco is another casual restaurant that never disappoints.  The guacamole is always fresh and it comes with really big and nice and salty tortilla rounds.  There is a good variety of tacos to choose from and they are big enough to enjoy but also small enough that you can try several without getting too full.  Our favorites are the shrimp  and the pork belly.  The cauliflower would be better if it was mixed with the sauce instead of it just laying the sauce on top which gives the upper part a lot more flavor than the bottom of the taco.  The desserts come in mason jars and are enough to share.  The key lime pie is nice and tangy and the tres leches is also good just more subtle.  The service is always attentive and friendly.  Thought they have switched to ordering through the QR code, you can still use the "flag" system of putting the little dragonfly card in the stand on your table as an indicator that you need help.  The Mosaic location has a really nice patio for mild days.  We have seen several dogs on the patio but the rules are unclear as to whether they are actually permitted/encouraged.  As in all of Mosaic, garage parking is very easy and plentiful and the area is great to stroll around in before or after your meal.

T L.

Yelp
The food is very good. There is a pleasant outdoor seating area. If you use the QR code system, make sure your server accurately transfers any combined checks, ask for a receipt, and make sure everyone in your party checks their credit card statement.

Yelp
Tech forward taco fusion restaurant and bar. The technology had potential but made our experience inconvenient. I had an issue with the QR code on the table and was unable to register for an account or easily access their menu. My friend had dined here before, so he had an account; however, he was unable to link it to the table, so they eventually brought over some paper menu and we handed our orders over to the waitress. Aside from the hiccups with tech, I enjoyed our experience. Service was friendly and attentive. Fun atmosphere and it was quite busy at night. I had the mushroom, cauliflower, and duck tacos. The cauliflower ones were my favorite of the group. Order was ready quickly. I also had their green margarita which I enjoyed.

Clarence B.

Yelp
I think I love this place! So we are new in town shopping and strolling, after lunchtime and we happen upon Bar Taco. The meal was an experience, with our waitress guiding us to use the QR code on our table to order, and to making a decision to share a bill before ordering. While we enjoyed tortillas and salsa, we ordered street corn as an appetizer an a selection of street style taco's featuring beef, pork, chicken, fish and shrimp. Each was a small delight. We can't wait to go back.

Danni N.

Yelp
This place is my fave local spot. I eat here more times than I care to admit and they ALWAYS find a way to accommodate me and my active toddler. The vibe is consistently good whether you're sitting inside or out. It always feels good to be here. My toddler loves the beans and rice, and I'm all in with the fish tacos with elote mayo on the side.

Arpreet K.

Yelp
Bar taco is my favorite restaurant as I have many dietary restrictions. Staff is always amazing and friendly, best customer service I've experienced. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive, providing recommendations and ensuring that every need is met without being intrusive. Their expertise enhances the dining experience, making it smooth and enjoyable from start to finish.

Greg O.

Yelp
I've gotten takeout several times here but this was the first time in person. Our server was very friendly and all the food came out quickly. Ordering is a little odd- you basically do it all on their app and it comes out to your table. If you want to add some more, you can do that on the app as well, then close out your tab at the end just like a bar tab. It mostly works- one of the orders got a little screwy but luckily all the tacos we had were good anyway so it didn't matter. I usually get a bowl plus some of the tacos- the seared ribeye and the pork belly are both excellent. The chicken verde and the roasted duck are two of my favorite tacos. Pretty much everything is well seasoned and leaves you wanting to come back for seconds.

Jasmine B.

Yelp
I love bartaco! The food is delicious and the service is so quick. I've been to bartaco a few times now and each time is great. My go to tacos are the Baja Fish and the Glazed Pork Belly. The flavors are soo good. The Baja Fish is light, juicy, and perfectly crispy. The Glazed Pork Belly has an amazing glaze paired perfectly with the pickled red onions. A notable mention are the Esquites, the corn is so sweet and I can't have enough. Ambiance is lively and I will definitely continue visiting!

Siddhita B.

Yelp
I visit here very frequently and truly enjoy the food and vibe. An add-on is it being open late at night, one of the few popular joints doing it even on the weekdays. The food is good and staff is very friendly, makes the whole experience enjoyable. My go to tacos are the baja fish, spiced chicken verde and the chili-lime one. Special mention to the salty + spicy marg, love love love it.

Makenzie D.

Yelp
Lettuce wrapped tacos were surprisingly good. Kimchi was excellent. Great service overall. Will be back!

Bob C.

Yelp
This is an absolutely fantastic location. I have been here a dozen times over the past year and the service is great and the tacos are fantastic. My favorite are the pork belly tacos and my second are the sesame ribeye tacos. Now, these are not the $1.29 or $1.99 soft tacos from fast foot vendors but these are not expensive for the high quality. Yes, there are vegetarian and pescatarian options. One of my kids is pescatarian and the fish tacos and shrimp tacos are tasty. Once he orders a fried oyster taco, the "dad tax" will have to be paid. It does tend to get a bit busy for takeout at lunch on Taco Tuesday. ...but who said we can't have Taco Thursday? The bar isn't huge here but there is a nice bar and a small bar scene late evenings and on weekends. I have had drinks in the evening and the bartenders pour a fair drink for the price. Reston ain't cheap but is cheaper than Arlington and DC

Jessica D.

Yelp
We really enjoyed the ambiance, tacos, and especially the margaritas!! The margs are made from fresh lime juice (we watched them squeeze limes right at the bar). The tacos are delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. My only advice is this may not be the best place if you are super hungry. The tacos are small and not very filling. I love the flavors and quality though ... so quality over quantity? Street corn in a bowl was also a good addition and had a nice kick. Great place for happy hour and catching up with friends.

A B.

Yelp
Our first time trying Bartaco was great. Service was fast despite every table at the restaurant being filled, our waiter was helpful and friendly, and the food was very tasty. My review of everything I ordered: - Baja Fish Taco: Very crispy, flavorful tempura coating and yummy cod. I would definitely get it again. - Glazed Pork Belly Taco: Definitely my favorite of everything I had. The marinade was delicious and the pork belly was so juicy and tender. - Spiced Chicken Verde Taco: Not my favorite unfortunately. Was not a huge fan of the marinade because it was a bit too tangy for my taste but the chicken itself was good. - Kids Steak Taco w/ Cheese: The steak was very flavorful but I was disappointed that there was barely any cheese at all on the taco. - Small Caesar Salad: Really, really good! This one surprised me the most but the kale was so fresh and the caesar dressing was one of the best I've ever had. Overall, we will be coming back to Bartaco. We had a great time and really enjoyed the fast service, yummy food, and lively ambiance.

Amy Amanda A.

Yelp
If you're looking for authentic Mexican or street tacos, this is not the place for you. If you want some delicious fusion style tacos though, this is the place for you! Ordering is super easy through their QR code setup. Staff is friendly and helpful. The duck tacos are definitely my favorite. Typically you will have to park in the nearby parking garage which is free after 5 pm and all day on the weekends.

Alex K.

Yelp
I have been to bartaco a number of times and it has really grown on me. The atmosphere is typically pretty lively. Both the bar and tables are usually fairly busy (I would suggest making a reservation). The menu consists of several different types of tacos as well as items like rice bowls, corn, guacamole and more. As far as the tacos go there is a taco for everyone. I have had almost all of the taco options and my personal favorites are the "baja fish" and the "glazed pork belly". Another fun taco option is the "chile-lime shrimp". I definitely think it is worth it to try each of the tacos to find your favorite. However, one downside to the tacos is that each order is a single taco and they are fairly small. Typically, I get 5 to 6 tacos in order to be satisfied. In terms of drinks, bartaco has a full bar and makes excellent cocktails. They also have a few nonalcoholic cocktails if you want something tasty but do not want to drink. Something that really sets bartaco apart from other restaurants is their order placement style. Orders are placed entirely through your phone via scanning a QR code on your table. When ordering you are able to state if you are doing separate checks from members in your party or one single check. Throughout the course of the meal, you can keep adding items. Once you are ready for the check you pay through your phone. If you have any issues, there is a blue card you put up on your table and a server comes by. This really streamlines your experience and allows you to be more focused on your meal. bartaco is also allergy friendly. On each item that you order there is a place to input your allergies (if any). I recommend going to bartaco if you are looking for tacos and drinks. It is a good place for almost any occasion.

Yelp
A lovely place with a very flexible menu and lots of wonderful taco options. I love the street corn! Also, conveniently located below me!

Tony G.

Yelp
Definitely a cool place for vibes and a unique restaurant experience! This restaurant came across my timeline and we decided to give it a try on a Saturday night. They have an option to be put on a waiting list, but you have to be within 30 minutes of arrival to the location. We put our name on the list when we were about 20 minutes out and were seated within 5 minutes of arrival. Since it was a nice, summer night, we sat outside. The outside dining area is pretty spacious. The uniqueness of the restaurant comes with the ordering experience. You basically scan a QR code and order all of your food online. The introvert in me LOVES this, I cannot even lie! A server does come and greet you upon being seated to let you know about the process and to give recommendations and/or answer questions. The tacos are small so if you are hungry, be prepared to order a lot. We tried a few different things and my recommendations are the pork belly, steak, and fish tacos! The pork belly is def worth the hype! I felt a little underwhelmed by the lobster and shrimp tacos. Nothing really stood out in the flavors. I also wasn't a fan of the guacamole and chips. Drinks are strong! There is a parking lot right by the restaurant with free parking on evenings and weekends. Overall, a cool spot for a chill night out!

Lisa J.

Yelp
On the upside, the food was amazing, we had the poke bowl, baja fish tacos, pork belly tacos, chicken tacos, tuna tacos, and the plantains. The fresh juice Paloma from the bar was the best I have ever had. The inside/outside seating was nice, but it made the atmosphere very loud. I would have given this place 5 stars except the "in-app" ordering did not work as we could not link them to 1 bill. We ended up ordering on paper and were told that whenever we put the dragonfly card in the holder, a server would be right over. That wasn't really true, it didn't seem too busy (7:30-9:00pm), but getting a server to come to our table was almost impossible. We would have liked a second round of drinks and to order dessert, but never saw a server, so we just left.

Yelp
I love bartaco! Visiting this place is always one of the highlights of taking a day trip to Virginia. My favorite taco is the duck taco. They use an amazing sauce with a light touch of spice, and it just works so well. The duck meat itself is so tender and juicy. It's a great combo! My boyfriend loves their carnitas, but it's a seasonal taco, so you won't be able to get this in the summer. His other favorite (which is available year-round) is the baja fish taco. The fish is coated in a delicious, perfectly crisp batter. It has an amazing texture. Other than out favorites, we have also tried the spicy chorizo (honestly, only ok in my opinion), chicken (also only ok), and pork belly (quite delicious and tender). There is plenty of street parking in the area nearby. To pay for street parking, you need to download an app on your phone. Bartaco offers a discount for parking in a specific numbered zone that's only about one block long. I'm not sure how much the discount is since I usually don't park in that zone (just not lucky enough, I guess). To order, you scan the qr code at your table and place an order on your phone. You pay on your phone once you order. A waiter brings out the dishes you order to your table. The decor is quaint and cute. I look forward to visiting bartaco again in the future!

Yelp
Service is always authentically great. Foods served hot, fresh, and fast. Servers are always very knowledgeable. Great for a first date, just hanging with friends, and families!

Yelp

Yelp
Love the Reston location for its outdoor set up! It's located on the corner and is easy to get to with multiple parking garages near by. Bartaco always has a great vibe with a lounge feel to it. It's a fun place for happy hour or drinks after work! Although their menu is pretty consistent, I love how they feature a special or seasonal taco from time to time. Their salsa trio is my favorite. If only I could take a bottle of the green salsa verde home with me! I recently had their brussel sprout taco which was amazing. Finished the night off with my favorite dessert, tres leches!

Yelp
The hubs and I used to live in the apartment complex above the location in Mosaic District but have not dined back since we moved away 2.5 (!!!) years ago. We decided to check the Reston location out for a lunch date since it's closer in proximity to our home than our OG Mosaic location. We ordered 10 tacos total in addition to the guac + roja + verde + chips and elote. My favorites are still fried oyster and chorizo, but the cauliflower and shrimp also come to a close second. The food came out quickly and the service was friendly throughout our experience. Bar Taco is definitely up to date with COVID-19 procedures! Masks are required for entry and there's an automated hand sanitizer right at the front door. Once you are seated, the menu as well as ordering capabilities are available through QR code on your phone. One of the annoying things is that you'll have to continue to login with the verification code (shout out to one of the iPhone's best features for popping it up when it comes through text) to order or pay your check. Your card is also required to place the order and if you leave without checking out, an automatic 18% gratuity is added onto the check. The restaurant itself is also cashless (signage is displayed at the front door) and only accept debit and credit card.

Yelp
Bartender took amazing care of me during my visit. Started off with a tequila flight and street corn. after I finished my flight I asked for her recommendation on a mixed tequila drink and she came to impress.. I also ordered the Chile lime tacos. The Chile lime tacos have a bit of a kick to them so make sure you have a drink on back up.

Yelp
" A balanced diet is a taco in each hand." Bartaco has some of the most fascinating taco combinations you could possibly imagine. There are duck tacos, fried oyster tacos, pork belly tacos, prime rib tacos...and of course the traditional fish, shrimp, and ground beef tacos. The taco is smaller, than a traditional taco, but the flavor is huge. They have some creative sauces on their tacos too. The duck taco has a tamarind sauce and the prime rib taco is topped with kimchi. So, very creative, flavorful, and packs a wallop of goodness into a smaller taco. We tried an assortment of tacos and they were all delicious. Thank you Yelpers for recommending the fried oyster taco, ordinarily, I would have never tried that flavor, and it became my favorite. It was luscious and delightful. A flavor bomb that I highly recommend! Then, it was a tie between the pork belly taco and the fish taco. Both were tasty and scrumptious! The guacamole is creamy and delicious. I really don't have a negative to say. If I were stretching, I would say, please, make your tacos larger, so I could enJoy more. The chips for the guacamole were freshly made and crispy. All in all, you need to stop by Bartaco. That's what I am taco-ing about!

Yelp
I'm in town visiting my brother and he was in need of a "good drink and cheap eats" after having a long day at work. So, bartaco it is! Very friendly bartender: He was able to recognize when to engage in conversation, but also when to fall back and let my brother and I have some bonding time. It was my first time visiting bartaco, so he provided me enough recommendations without overwhelming me. The ceviche (without avocado because I'm allergic) was absolutely perfect! It was very acidic (which I actually like) and was a healthy portion of seafood. It may be meant to share, but if you like ceviche like I do, it's more for one! The tacos are street taco style, so perhaps 2-3 bites out of each one: I ordered 4. - Baja Fish: Nice size piece of fish, fried but not greasy, wasn't spicy but had a quick - Mushroom w/Queso Fresco: Tastes so fresh and healthy because it's mushrooms! - Crispy Oyster: Never had an oyster - Chile-Lime Shrimp: My least-favorite one. It wasn't that it was bad, but I think the chile spice wasn't a good blend of spice for me. I'm glad I ate this one last. If I ate it first, it would've set the tone for the rest of my meal...and I wouldn't have been as excited for the remainder of my meal. And, ceviche and tacos aren't complete without a bartaco margarita: Make sure you get it spicy, because why not? Spicy with a slice of fresh jalapeno (which I ate last because it soaks up some of the tequila). Definitely looking forward to visiting my brother again...so I can eat here again!

Yelp
Ohhh boyyy. This is going to be a fun review to write. Our experience with ordering delivery from Bartaco in Reston was nothing short of hilarious for all the wrong reasons. Oddly enough though, the meal was hilarious as we come up with zinger after zinger laughing the hilarity that was our outrageously expensive meal for two, portions for ants, catchy packaging that's a wasted expense, and DRIED tasteless tacos. These are some of the fun zingers we had when looking and eating our meal. Pictures for reference and soon to come the Meme of all Meme's! Wait, that's one order right, there's more?!!!! Oh look, there's two of these waisted recycled bamboo thongs!! Wait, no, look at the swanky napkins, they're 100% recycled made in sweat shops. It's printed on the napkin, righttt here! Awww, this tortilla is so cute. It's so tiny! Like tiny Trump tortilla's! *clears throat and in Zoolander ---- What is this, a taco made for ANTS! Seriously, it was awful. The ambiance at the restaurant may be worth the money for 1/2 the portion they advertise in their taco packs, but the taste and overall quality was lacking last night. IMO, don't dine out with them.

Yelp
Very good tacos, guac, and drinks! Great atmosphere. I wish we ordered with a server and not a QR code, but that's okay.

Yelp
Revisited this spot on a weekend visit to the area. Service was fast. We utilized the waitlist and were seated fairly quickly. The restaurant was very busy and once everyone figured out how to order via the QR code our food and drinks arrived quickly. We tried the pork belly, fish and chips tacos. All were good. Street corn in the bowl was a favorite. Sangria and margarita were just okay. I was a bit underwhelmed this time go round. Maybe I'll check out a different location in the future.

Yelp
Very fast service and very good food. I paid online through the table's QR code and within minutes, our food came! The server checked on us constantly and made sure everything was okay. The tacos are a bit small but they are fairly priced! You can mix and match however many tacos you want. Their pork belly and duck tacos were phenomenal. This is my new go-to taco place!
