"The stylish Latin chain puts a spin on Brazil’s national cocktail every season. The latest edition for spring comes with Cachaça 51, elderflower, orange, lime, and sugar. During its “High Tide” happy hour (weekdays 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.), the Brazilian cocktail is discounted to $9. Its new waterfront location at the Wharf joins others in Mt. Vernon Triangle, Ballston, Fairfax, and Reston." - John Besche, Tierney Plumb

Food was good. Small 3 bite tacos. Fun to try different ones. My favorite was the Baja fish taco. My only complaint is tacos that have a lot of juice/liquid tend to cause the taco to break in half. Nice outdoor seating area. Staff was friendly and attentive. Looking forward to returning to try different tacos.

It's always a challenge to find good tacos in the DC area and if you follow my reviews, you will know the best places I've found. This particular place, BarTaco, is a posh type of taco place along the Wharf. Again, if you read my reviews, you'll know I don't care if it is a fancy place or a hole in the wall with the ceiling caving it. As long as its delicious, I'm all for it. BarTaco serve their tacos kinda tapas style as they are smaller than a typical street taco but they do packed a good punch of flavor. You won't find any traditional flavors on the menu like Al Pastor, but the cauliflower tacos was actually really good. I would come back with friends for a little happy hour snack after work and get a shot of tequila from their wide selection. However, the prices are a little steep for the size of the taco. Like I said, flavor is all that matters to me but I know price is important to take note of. I would recommend a cocktail and two tacos for a quick bit of fun but then go somewhere else to actually fill your stomachs. I eat a ton so I would have broke the bank order enough tacos to fill myself up. Nonetheless, the food is good and definitely worth a stop if you are wandering about on the Wharf.

First off, they don't have reservations but instead they have a waitlist. We called and requested to be waitlisted 8pm. Calvin one of the managers said that it wouldn't be a problem. Got there, waited for maybe 5-10mins to be seated in our table. The music was loud too but that didn't bother us. In our table, there was a QR code that we scanned and was able to place the order. The guac and chips (chips was freshly made) was so good that we ordered another one. The Lime shrimp was a little bit spicy but very delicious! The glazed pork belly with pickled onion was a great combo, sweet & sour kind of combo! We love the lime shrimp that we ordered 2 more! We also had the chicken tortilla soup and my husband said it is one of the best tortilla soup that he had. When we were leaving they gave us 3 taco tokens that we can use if we come back! That only means one thing, we are definitely coming back! Btw, If you're using the QR code, save a credit card and did not close the tab, the restaurant will automatically add 18% gratuity to your bill.

This place was so cool and fun. The bartender C helped us and she was nice and welcoming. I went in with a party of 6 and they got us in right away. I had the Paloma Fresca and it was okay. The food however was bomb. I wouldn’t order the Chorizo tacos, but the Duck tacos, and the Pork Belly tacos were bomb.

Taco not Tuesday 🌮 😁: chili-lime shrimp taco: -spicy/tangy, chile-lime marinated shrimp, vegetable escabeche, zesty pepita salsa macha glazed pork belly taco (that I didn't really like, too sweet for me but if you like sweet tacos it's good): -braised pork belly caramelized in sweet arbol chili glaze, cilantro, pickled red onions two brisket tacos: -slow roasted/tequila spiked beef brisket, spicy pickled red onions, habanero hot sauce tajin spiced pineapples two revivers👌: -hayman's gin, cucumber (but I took out and added lemon), mint, mango nectar, lime juice Now I ordered all this online so: When you order the reviver online, it only allows you to order for two, which is fine for me but when I went in they gave me one. I got that corrected... but the second drink came out wayyy better and what I expected it to taste like vs the first one. The first tastes like all syrup. So I'd say before leaving, taste it so it can be fixed correctly and to make sure you actually do get both drinks when you order it online because that's what you're charged for Because paying $25 to drink syrup is crazy. The second was also bigger too so I'm not sure what the actual portion is you're supposed to get, they may have given me a bigger second one bc of the mistake

Had an amazing evening dinner and tea at the Wharf location. Tyreke attended to us BEAUTIFULLY and was such a joy. I had a tuna poke bowl with hibiscus tea and enjoyed every bite and sip. Definitely my go-to spot now.

Was told there was a 1hr wait. Sat at the bar, ate tacos, had drinks. All the while, counted 30 open seats outside of the bar while we ate and drank. Finished eating, received a text indicating our seats were ready 2 hour after we put our names down. Huge miscommunication with front end and back end. 2-4 people working the front and stood around. If the kitchen or tables were that busy, help out… Great tacos and drinks! Eric the bartender was great!
