This is my second time visiting Bartaco. Each visit, I sat at the bar and the bartenders are extremely nice and attentive. We had a wonderful time and the food was delicious. Drinks are name fresh too. Walter was amazing! Thank you for making my birthday extra special!

People usually get 3 or 4 tacos, they’re smaller. For instance, the fish taco has one piece of fish. The flavors are good. My sons loved the pork belly. The tres leches and churros desserts were excellent. Unfortunately I ordered the churros when we first arrived and they took at least an hour to arrive. The location is great, down by the water. There’s a parking deck 100ft away and it costs $23 for 1-2 hours.

Had a great time here! Stayed from happy hour until dinner just chatting away at the bar. Never a dull moment! Food is great, and the bartenders are very friendly. Highly recommend!

I stumbled upon Tacobar on a Saturday and ended up staying for 2 hours. Their pork belly tacos has such a phenomenal taste and the right amount of heat! The staff was super friendly and gave great recommendations. Highly recommend trying this place as your next taco spot!

Update ; we went there again tonight. We couldn't get it off our minds! Again a great meal great atmosphere great people. Thanks for everything! The family debated about where to go and glad we picked Bartaco! Fun atmosphere. Great food. I got the spicy chicken rice bowl and a sesame steak taco. Son got pork belly rice bowl. We got plantains to share. It was a little spicy for son but I felt right at home. We're going to come back! Pretty walk along the wharf at night!

Everytime I fly into DC, Bar Taco ceviche is a MUST. We always loved this spot anytime we’re in town, however, our latest experience wasn’t the best. For the first time, we were seated at the bar. We got our first drinks within 20 minutes. It took over an hour for us to order another drink and for them to take our order. Everyone around us had great service, however, it felt like we were forgotten. We ended up cancelling our food and left. I don’t recommend sitting at the bar EVER. There was a whole lot of walking around than serving.

Small, slightly larger than bit-size tacos....although they do have more items to choose on the menu. But we ordered a variety of the tapas-like portions for lunch. The portions were made-up mostly of the shells that held the ingredients together so I wound up eating mostly the inside. But the flavor was good and if you want just a snack this might just be the place - or order half a dozen if you are really hungry. You have to give them a credit card when you order to start a tab - I guess that's one way to handle it but I'm not sure if I am on board with that process...we are 4 folks 68 to 72 years old and not likely to run away without paying 😁

Google
Negligent service, ridiculously long wait times, & tiny portions. 40-min wait for one taco, mistakes in our order, ZERO communication or apologies from our servers. Overall, as a former server & cashier myself, I was disturbed by Bartaco servers’ lack of common sense & hospitality. This experience put a huge damper on our vacation. Side note: Instead of lime slices, Bartaco gives you the ENDS, which have maybe half a squeeze of juice in them. Surprisingly that was the case for our whole table & I see it in other photos from this eatery. We were in the area since sunrise for the cherry blossoms. We went to Bartaco hoping for some quick bites, our 1st meal of the day, before heading over to our reservation at the Moonraker rooftop bar next door. 11:05 AM - We arrived at Bartaco. We asked to be seated outside & the host said “OK, we’ll just have to wipe the table.” No problem, we sat & waited for someone to come by but no one did so we ended up wiping the table ourselves. After another 5 mins we realized why we weren’t handed any menus; there was a tiny QR code (not clearly displayed) on the table. It would’ve been helpful if the host had informed us to begin with. 11:15 AM - Our server came by & gave us paper menus as the QR code wouldn’t let us add to the order even though we selected “ordering for the PARTY.” Each of us had tried on diff phones (Samsung, iPhone, Google). 11:48 AM - Finally our food arrived. We had ordered 11 tacos but only got 10. We pointed out that one of the tacos was missing, & our server went to the kitchen to check. It was taking a while & she was nowhere in sight, so we asked a different server passing by for an update. He said he’d ask, & came back outside with a different server. Server B & C (no one ever told us their names) asked us what we were missing. We couldn’t tell which taco was which, & since Server A had picked up our paper menus, we told them it would be better to find her & ask. 11:50 AM - Server A showed up to ask us what was missing, & what we had ordered. By now I was getting frustrated bc she clearly had the paper menus in her apron but was expecting us to remember exactly what out of 11 items we were missing. She showed us the receipt paper that was sent to the kitchen, & it had all 11 tacos printed. We still hadn’t touched our food so I pointed out how there’s only 10 tacos on the table… We asked to see the paper menus we had filled out, & only then is how we finally figured it out. We really don’t understand why she didn’t refer to our paper menus to begin with, or why Server B & C didn’t immediately find Server A for us. Could’ve saved everyone the time & hassle. 12:03 PM - By this time my friends were preparing to go next door to make it to our Moonraker reservation (originally 12:00 PM but we pushed it back to 12:30 PM… which we had decided at 11:35 AM since our food hadn’t yet arrived). 12:10 PM - My partner ordered 1 Baja Fish taco via QR code, thinking 20 mins would be plenty of time for it to arrive. 12:15 PM - Server A handed the check to my friends, and they left for next door. Before heading back inside, she assured us she saw my partner's order. 12:40 PM - We asked Server C for updates as he was passing by, & he flagged down Server A at the empty table next to us asking where the taco was. She explained quietly to him INSTEAD OF addressing us?? Then they both went back inside, w/o acknowledging me or my partner?? A quick “sorry we’ll be right back” would’ve sufficed… 12:52 PM - The single taco finally arrived. 1:03 PM - My friend called me from next door wondering where we were. I went inside to speak to management. Terrica (Key Holder) was the first staff member I found & she’s the ONLY one who was truly apologetic, validated my reasons for being upset about our servers’ behavior, & echoed my concerns on why it took 40 minutes for one taco. Finally, Terrica referred us to Javonte (Restaurant Manager) who was able to get us a refund, since the handful of free taco vouchers originally offered was NOT satisfactory to make up for our experience.

Yelp
Where do I begin? The excellent service from Hunter was amazing, this young man didn't leave the table unnoticed. Top notch service with top notch food. Definitely will visit again and I hope I'm lucky enough to be in his section for the evening. =)

Yelp
First of all five stars for food and four for service. Flavors are there tuna poke was absolutely delicious! Loved the lobster taco in the summer duo and the fact that it's paired with a steak taco gives it surf and turf vibes. Restaurant is cute well decorated and can get really busy ! Perfect after work happy hour spot, but you can expect to wait for seating if you're walking in even at the bar sometimes. Prices are reasonable for DC and the wharf! Even though I loved service, a couple of the reviews mentioned it, and it is true that when it comes to drinks, it does take a while to be noticed or remembered. I think part of this is due to the fact that they make all their margaritas from fresh squeeze limes, which is the best part about the drinks here! But having 3 bartenders and only 10 people at the bar, you would expect to receive another drink within 15 minutes of finishing your first.

Yelp
First of all, you may not want to come here if you're hungry. Come for an appetizer and then go eat dinner. The tacos are 3 inches, typical size but just not enough meat, extra small taco shells... We paid extra for the black beans which could've been included honestly. We asked for no spicy, but the shrimp tacos were spicy - it was tasty, but not filling. The end.

Yelp
After walking by this place daily and hearing people from work mention it constantly, I finally visited with an out-of-town friend. After spending the day walking through museums, I headed to the Wharf for some happy hour conversations. The mugginess of the day got to me, and as I glistened with sweat, I saddled up to the bar and ordered a drink. The happy hour drink menu was a bit too fancy for me today, so I ordered my regular, go-to drink, G&T. I moved to a table on the patio to cool off after the mile+ walk from the mall and gulped water. When my friend arrived, we perused the menu and debated what to order. The waiter helped us know how to order, using the card menu at the table (like at a sushi bar). I ordered the spiced chicken verde with chile and herb marinade with aguacate salsa and an ahi tuna tatako that had ancho-crusted tuna on an asian slaw on a bibb lettuce shell. The food was appetizer-sized, so I was still a bit peckish, but sat and enjoyed the company and cool breeze. Our server was amazing and very attentive. We were sitting by the door, so he checked in on us with his every entry and exit. I did go here during the week at the start of Happy Hour and had great everything, but the place was filling up as the day moved on. Friends who have been here at night commented that service got slower as the crowds piled in, but, as I said, this was my first time here, and happy hour was delicious!

Yelp
I went here for a drink after dinner elsewhere and I was pleasantly surprised to find such reasonable prices at the Wharf and the ease of access for using the QR-Code to order and pay was wonderful. I ordered two red sangrias because the watermelon mint margarita was sold out but I hear it's delicious. The sangria could've been a little stronger but it was good. I will say this, when we arrived the fire alarm started going off and no one moved and we were still seated and everyone just acted as if it wasn't going off until it finally stopped. So I guess good thing there wasn't an emergency... Hunter was an attentive server as well.

Yelp
We ate just about everything on the menu including the mushroom, cauliflower, lobster, al pastor, chopped salad, elotes with lobster, salsa verde and the guacamole and EVERYTHING was sooooo delicious!!! Javonté & Hunter were the very best ever! They took care of us and made sure we enjoyed everything. Absolutely the best!!!

Yelp
so besides the bunch of black hairs I had in my cup.......the dining experience was fine Our waiter barely talked to our table. When we did put up the card for help, she was annoyed we did that. Paying online doesn't work for visas btw. It'll tell you your security code is wrong so my whole table had to pay via Amazon lol I think the food is pretty overrated for the price. Duck birria dish was scanty on the actual meat, mostly the fried tortilla outside to make it seem bigger and more than it is.

Yelp
Bartaco at The Wharf - takeout is always a hit. I stopped by Bartaco today and was immediately greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. Dominique, one of the managers, made it her mission to take care of me from the moment I walked in. She was so kind and welcoming -- and even made a point to wish me a happy birthday, which meant a lot! Amari overheard it was my birthday and jumped right in to make the experience even more special. Her energy was infectious, and she created such a fun, welcoming atmosphere that made me feel celebrated. Bartaco is always a go-to spot for me for takeout-- the food is consistently great, service is quick, and Customer service is solid. Big shoutout to Dominique and Amari for making my day extra memorable. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Really cute place for a girlies night out! We came and loved the decor and how we could see the water and when they opened the garage style window made our night. We sat down and our waiter Tyrique was super friendly kept checking in on us and we always had our drink and foods. Now while he checked in the style is a QR code so you scan and keep a tab open. The tacos we got were crispy duck, crispy shrimp and fish and also the chips and salsas. The drinks were tasty could have kept drinking all night. But the taco that stuck out to me was the duck. The spice was what made it unique and I wish I could eat a dozen. The chips and salsa spicier and mild def get for the table and if you need more chips they will happily give you more. Bathrooms also were super nice handicap accessible which was nice to see as a special shoutout more places don't have these accommodations. Overall want to go back and spend more time!

Yelp
I truly love bar taco but the service is absolute trash EVERY. SINGLE. TIME!!! And for what reason? I shouldn't be sitting at the bar with an empty drink cup for 15 minutes when there's maybe 13 people at the bar and 3 bar tenders. It's so bizarre to me. Am I going to keep going? Yes! But jeeeezzz let's figure out our service standard PLZ!!!
google avatar

Patrick G.

Yelp
Absolutely solid place for lunch or another light meal. The food is always on point and there's a great selection and the environment can't be beat. It's breezy and comfortable.
google avatar

Gloria M.

Yelp
The service at bartaco is consistently slow and I don't know how this is possible at a bar. The bartenders are understaffed and not able to accommodate the amount of seating at this location. I've been multiple times and there is always quite a wait, but I was amazed this last time when it took over 20mins for a margarita and then 40min for a few tacos.
google avatar

Reina N.

Yelp
Located in such a nice great area with multiple dining choices. Was sat quickly on a spacious table with good view. Service was fine yet the food was amazing and drinks were alright. My only complaint is that when they brought me my water they failed to look the evident shattered glass that was sticking out of my glass cup. Extremely dangerous and thankfully I always verify my glasses before drinking. Employees that serve water and deliver water or drinks to tables must make sure glasses are to standard to avoid incidents.

Yelp
2nd time at Bartaco. First time was in Nashville. The tacos were a decent size, kind of on the pricy side, but were flavorful and yummy. We got different choices and tried 5 of them, then ordered some churros, key lime and tres leches for dessert. My fave was the key lime and the tres leches was pretty good. They weren't too sweet. The churro were still hot and had a good flavor and crunch to it. Overall it was a good late night snack.
google avatar

Allison L.

Yelp
Get the sangria pitcher. Get the pork belly taco. It's pricy but tbh worth. It takes a minute to get seated and sometimes to get your food, but always a quality time here! And very vibey space.
google avatar

Yelp
This summer, I went to this bartaco almost weekly and ordered the same thing everytime: kale ceasar, ahi tuna and pork belly tacos. I have quelled my obsession a little since then, and now only visit monthly instead of weekly but the pork belly tacos are probably my favorite taco ever. Three of them usually fill me up and makes for a good and fast dinner. Oh and GET THE CHURROS! The service is always fast and friendly and I love the waterfront location. I've taken tons of friends here and they always have a good time. The only thing I would suggest is please please please start taking Apple Pay!
google avatar

Gabby T.

Yelp
The wait time was so long because of the cherry blossom festival but once we got our table, we got our food relatively quick! There was a group of four of us and we tried a little bit of everything. The food was good and the servers were very friendly and helpful. Kind of annoying that you have to use a credit card to order online. I tried my debit card 4x thinking I was doing something wrong before I realized it said credit card lol the food is what you'd expect for fast Mexican food and it's very affordable!
google avatar

Annie P.

Yelp
A great restaurant starts with great service, and our waiter here was amazing. Even though most of the ordering is done online, he was super helpful and pretty hilarious. I ordered a margarita and it was really good! I ordered the mushroom tacos and they were delicious as well. I do agree with other reviews that the portion sizes are a bit small, but I think this is the type of restaurant you go to for some drinks and small bites with friends. I also think they could have done with a bit more filling in the tacos, but nonetheless the flavor mark was hit. I would recommend sitting outside before going to a concert or a night out for some amazing drinks and great small bites.
google avatar

Kyle L.

Yelp
Bartaco is a fun and more casual restaurant along the Wharf. I have mixed feelings about ordering through a QR code, but it does make it easier when you don't have to wait for anyone to come by your table. My friend and I ordered their street corn and a nice variety of their tacos. The ribeye and pork belly ones were our favorite, but we also had their chorizo, chicken, and steak tacos! I also appreciate that they don't double wrap the taco...makes me feel slightly less guilty eating multiple tortillas
google avatar

Ronald C.

Yelp
The drinks are water down.I ordered an non-alcoholic fruit drink. They filled it up with ice had a little to no fruit juice in it. The restaurant was extremely hot. We asked waitress to turn the fan up and she advised that she needed to speak the manager. She said that the fan was broken.Manager didn't even respect us enough to come out and speak with us. We was very inconvenience. That is 101 managing a restaurant. I would not recommend this restaurant to any of my friends. To hot!!

Yelp
My brother went to see The Micheal Jackson Musical in Washington DC on Friday, September 6, 2024. After the Play, they went to Bartaco in Washington DC. The restaurant looked so nice and they said the service was great. Did I mention, that he said the tacos were amazing? Yes, Thank You Bartaco for showing my family a great time.
google avatar

Peter T.

Yelp
Peggy just told me she likes this place. My better half seal of approval. Peggy had the shrimp tacos two of them. I had the tuna. We also had the spicy cucumber. I could go through each one but bottom line were coming back here again for more. The street corn was awesome . The good thing is we're gonna be at the marina for another 5 to 10 days Service was outstanding they were very quickly picking things up as you get done with them. Lotta seating options. Love the ambience of the place in the light fixtures they had they were like upside down baskets.
google avatar

Jason B.

Yelp
This is a tough review to post, because my heart is torn. The first time my lady and I came here we were welcomed warmly, seated, and treated like royalty by our hosts and waiters. The ambiance was perfect, the tacos were OUT OF THIS WORLD, and we literally walked out saying to each other, "This is going to be our new regular place for drinks and appetizers!" After all, we live in an apartment 5 minutes walk away. Unfortunately that was the end of the good feelings. We returned no less than 4 times, each time to be told there was a 35 minute to 1 hour wait for a table. Each time there were PLENTY of tables available. But the hostess insisted those tables were "closed." Question: If you routinely have customers waiting at the door, and you routinely have extra tables that aren't being used, do you (A) hire more wait staff, or (B) let customers wait or go elsewhere, and think yourself "exclusive"?
google avatar

Cole D.

Yelp
Second time to a BarTaco and it was better than I remember. Super tasty. I got the cauliflower, duck, fish, and chorizo. They are smaller tacos, but a ton of flavor. My favs were the duck and the cauliflower. Both had the most flavor of any. I like the service system where you just pay and order all on the phone. Sat outside. Nice to enjoy the sub
google avatar

Catherine N.

Yelp
As usual...the vibe here at Bar Taco is amazing! The food is always tasty! Tonight I tried something by different which was the seared chorizo taco and rib eye taco! Specccccctacular! The service is always great! My bartender Z handled business but to be honest, they all work so well together as a true team. I will definitely say it's a bomb place to hang out at! Until next time...cheers!

Yelp
Great date spot. 10/10 will return. Could be a bit noisy for older folks especially those DC nights.
google avatar

Kay D.

Yelp
I ordered the pork belly taco, Carnita, sesame ribeye, spiced chicken verde. Overall it was very ok - kinda more on the bad sad unfortunately. The service was also nothing special. Everything was just tart. The pork belly was hard. The portion size was sad for price honestly. One tortilla like 2 pieces of meat can pretty much be inhaled in a bite. Absolutely not worth it at all unfortunately - I would never come back. Then again i'm from Socal - I've had countless street tacos from SA and these definitely do not hit the spot.
google avatar

Mae B.

Yelp
The service was amazing, the waitresses were really nice. We got our food quickly and it was very good. All the furniture is nice and is modern. It's a very comfy environment. Plus the desert was really good! It tasted good and got to us fast. I hope you enjoy!
google avatar

Erika S.

Yelp
Came here to meet my friend for dinner last night. The wait was long but we got a spot at the bar. I ordered the watermelon basil smash which was so good! It came with tajin on the rim. I started with the chicken soup because why not! Lol. It was good but definitely wanted some rice in the mix. I ordered the duck taco, shrimp taco and spiced chicken tacos. The duck was the only one that was not spicy but i enjoyed all of them. The duck was definitely the most flavorful.
google avatar

Leroy R.

Yelp
Had a great time at the Wharf location. The space was massive and the covered outdoor section was a great place to sit on very comfy benches and chairs. The service was quick and the servers were amazing! Very friendly and engaging. The food was great as well. We got tacos, quesadillas, and the salsa/guac trio. Everything was flavorful. The glazed pork belly was so good. Crunchy, soft and sweet. You have to try it. They have amazing cocktails also!

Bridgette B.

Yelp
We lucked into finding this restaurant and very happy we did! The decro was beachie/relaxing. We had great service and each taco was different and delicious!! Not your typical taco at all!! My favs were the roast duck, ahi tuna and pork belly. I had the lettuce tacos vs the soft tortilla and each were bout 3-4 bites. Each bite had full flavor thanks to the toppings added. Give this place a try and enjoy!!
google avatar

Olivia I.

Yelp
Interesting service system, you order either all together on a paper card or individually through your phone. Food came out pretty quickly and the duck tacos were amazing with a nice kick of spice. We got seated on the patio near sunset, lovely day but there are minimal sun blockers. Everything tasted really good, only let down was the ahi taco which lacked the complex flavor that the other tacos had.
google avatar

Jodi V.

Yelp
Super disappointed... I didn't even get the taco I ordered to try. My husband had the chorizo taco and said it was really good. The spicy margarita wasn't even drinkable.

Griffin H.

Yelp
I had wonderful time! Great food, great environment, and David makes some great margaritas!!

Megan L.

Yelp
Wonderful experience! David at the bar was fantastic and made delicious drinks with super quick service. We had a great time!!
google avatar

Tatiana W.

Yelp
Good happy hour drinks and small bites for a great price. The cold drinks were so refreshing on a hot day! The service was quick, especially when it looked like there was an event on the other side of the bar. The bar was nice and bright and the restaraunt was quiet but clean
google avatar

Tom H.

Yelp
The food here was great and I live in Texas. So I have no complaints. I recommend trying the tacos out. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Cute busy spot in the Wharf. It has a really easy way of ordering and paying right from their app so you control when you put in orders and when you want to pay. Despite the fact that we used the app, the server kept checking in n us and the Manager passed by to make sure we were being well taken care of. The service was actually probably better than in a full service restaurant! We decided to try the tacos. My favorite was a warm butter lobster taco it was so delicious and tasted exactly as its name. I ordered 2 more of those because they were so good. I also tried the shrimp taco and the dressing they put in there was very flavorful. The guacamole was amazing but even the large was pretty small, but it comes with plenty of tortilla chips. The margaritas were on point. Can't wait to come back here again next time I'm in DC.
google avatar

Katie V.

Yelp
It was a cold night at The Wharf but nice and cozy inside! We had about a 20min wait at the bar but understandable as a weekend night (a tasty margarita also helped pass the time quickly too). Enjoyed my taco selections (and another margarita). I really appreciated that our server asked if I wanted salt or not on the rim of my drink. Service was friendly and wasn't slow, which was impressive considering how busy it was too. We almost ate at a different restaurant that evening but I'm so glad we chose bar taco (we will definitely be back).

Yelp
There is a lot to like about bartaco, a local DC area Mexican chain. It has great food options for kids with its kids' Mexican tray that includes one taco, a quesadilla, a side of corn on the cobb and pineapple on a skewer. What did I not love, to bring down the review to 3 stars? The service and the long wait to get food. I ordered on the app and somehow a wait that was supprosed to be 20 minutes was over an hour. I don't mind waiting, honestly! But I had 2 hungry kids that were super hangry and they didn't care if the kitchen was backed up or not. The staff was friendly/polite about the whole situation but I was still annoyed that it took so long to get any service.
google avatar

Lydia K.

Yelp
This is my first time visiting and I wasn't disappointed. I went with a duck and spicy chicken verde tacos. I love spicy so I added habanero sauce on my tacos. The tacos were very flavorful. I also went with a margarita which was great too. Regarding the service, my bartenders were pretty cool and I loved how I could see the water from my seat. I'd definitely return again.
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
We came here around 5 pm on a Tuesday, and there was a 30 minute wait so we decided to get a togo order and eat it by the outdoor fire pit. The food took about 35 minutes which was extremely long. We ordered the tuna poke, 4 tacos (pork belly, baja fish, ribeye, and shrimp), kids quesadilla, and kids roasted chicken. The tortillas for the tacos were a little dry and they didn't come with lime like the menu online. They were also really small for the price. The kids quesadilla was great though, with really good cheese and flour tortilla. Roasted chicken was okay but a good dairy free option although it doesn't come with the chicken leg or thigh. We were a little disappointed overall with bartaco, not sure if it's just this location or all of them. I thought the restaurant itself was clean and had fun vibes and a lot of people sat on their outdoor patio.

Yelp
The food is ALWAYS amazing! The service is always on point! Everyone is so nice and helpful and welcoming! It's such a entertaining environment. They use fresh squeezed juice on all their cocktails so the drink are on point every time! It's literally my favorite place to go after work! Z, Zip, James, Calvin, and Tony are all the best and always make the experience so perfect. This is THEE after work spot and I doubt that changes anytime soon!

Yelp
Had a great first experience here for lunch on a Monday. The weather was perfect to sit on the patio. We ordered plantains, pork belly tacos, fish tacos, guacamole and salsa and a spicy cucumber salad. The margaritas were perfectly balanced and the food was fun and tasty! Loved it all. We finished the meal with crispy churros and melted Nutella. It was really delicious. Calvin provided outstanding service, friendly conversation and great recommendations!

Yelp
The margaritas are good and the guac and chips are tasty, but the service needs work. We sat at the bar and it took way too long to get service. We came on a Friday early afternoon, and they had some people but it seemed like there was a lot of miscommuication between the bartenders and the rest of the staff. You could also hear one of the bartenders complaining about other staff members, which was very unprofessional. The ambiance is cool, and they have a nice outdoor space with couches. It looked like people were enjoying the regular menu items, although we just stuck with the trio of guacamole and two salsas, which was very good. Although the service was subpar, I would try this place again and to give them another change, but probaby sit at an actual table.

Yelp
First off, they don't have reservations but instead they have a waitlist. We called and requested to be waitlisted 8pm. Calvin one of the managers said that it wouldn't be a problem. Got there, waited for maybe 5-10mins to be seated in our table. The music was loud too but that didn't bother us. In our table, there was a QR code that we scanned and was able to place the order. The guac and chips (chips was freshly made) was so good that we ordered another one. The Lime shrimp was a little bit spicy but very delicious! The glazed pork belly with pickled onion was a great combo, sweet & sour kind of combo! We love the lime shrimp that we ordered 2 more! We also had the chicken tortilla soup and my husband said it is one of the best tortilla soup that he had. When we were leaving they gave us 3 taco tokens that we can use if we come back! That only means one thing, we are definitely coming back! Btw, If you're using the QR code, save a credit card and did not close the tab, the restaurant will automatically add 18% gratuity to your bill.

Yelp
I have heard nothing but great things about bartaco so I decided to give it a try on a Saturday evening. They dont let you make reservations, you have to join the waitlist. There was room at the bar so instead of waiting & becoming hangry my friend and I sat there. It took a little second to get acknowledged even though there were 3 bartenders. Two of them that were helping us did not bother to introduce theirselves. It was hard to communicate as it is a little loud in the establishment. You order your tacos and or meal by adding how many on a paper menu. The pencils need to be replenished. It was hard to find one to mark the menu with. Anywho, we found one and started our order. I love that you get to pick a variety of tacos verse sticking to just one! I tried the duck birria tacos, fried oyster tacos, cauliflower, and sesame ribeye. The manager stopped by with some fried cod on the house because it was extra. That was a nice touch. My favorite tacos were the fried oyster, sesame ribeye, and fried cod.Nonetheless all the tacos had great flavor. Also on the menu was elote, which is my favorite. I ordered that as well and the spicy cucumber salad (which wasn't spicy). To drink they have green juice margs. That drink is soooooo good! I highly recommend. I give bartaco a 9/10. Bar service could of been better.

Yelp
A fun and affordable waterside eating place on the DC Wharf. The prices are not bad. The food is excellent. Highly highly highly recommend the fish tacos - crispy and full! I hope to be back.

Yelp
Great staff and some wonderful menu selections. Not just your mom's taco--unless your mom is innovative and creative.
