These Metro Detroit Bars Are Serving Cocktails for Carryout and Delivery - Eater Detroit
"Barter in Hamtramck is currently serving cocktails for patio service as well as in to-go containers. The bar also offers beer and wine for carryout." - Brenna Houck
"This bar and community arts venue in Hamtramck gives off a welcoming, neighborhood vibe with cozy vintage furnishings. On the menu at Barter, find nine quaffable cocktails daily including the frothy Golden Harvest with Montelobos mezcal, ancho reyes, passion fruit, lime, and turmeric syrup. A torched mini Eggo Waffle tops the Kerry’s Country Breakfast — a mixture of Benchmark Bourbon, smoked maple syrup, and black walnut bitters." - Brenna Houck

Barter, a Cocktail Bar and Community Arts Space, Settles Down in Hamtramck - Eater Detroit
"Barter is a new cocktail bar and community arts venue set to open in Hamtramck this fall. The venue will be located in a 3,500-square-foot space with 20-foot ceilings and a unique balcony, suggesting it may have been a theater in the 1920s. Barter will be divided into a cocktail lounge with 40-50 seats and a black box-style theater for various arts exhibitions. The cocktail menu will focus on minimalist drinks with fresh ingredients." - Brenna Houck
Great local haunt with a good vibe.
Only complaint is the wine choices are poor but Bob Ross on the TV makes up for it.

We have been to Bar/Ter in the trendy Hamtramck neighborhood of Detroit about three times, and it already begins to feel like home. We came to hear the band "Sold Only as Curio", a Thursday night regular. Craft cocktails are their signature, the mezcal based Golden Harvest really got me going. Comfy armchairs, charming bar with street view, and a dark backroom for gigs and discos. Easy dancing.

This place has some good cocktails but the consistency is off. This place will be fun when the theater opens but right now its very basic.

I really like this bar! The owners and bartender were very welcoming. Seriously, that's all I ask for. Being nice goes a long way. The place is super clean and you can tell they take pride in their business. I'm not a cocktail girl but it was nice to try something new and love it! Hope to be back soon.

Chill cocktail bar, bartenders know their stuff and are very helpful with a good recommendation. They had a small venue space in the back which had some DJs and a live act the night we were there. As far as cocktail prices go I thought they were very reasonable and even had a specials menu with cheaper classics or riffs on the classics. They also offered canned and bottled beer which was nice to grab before heading into the show. Oh... And the cheese balls, they keep a healthy amount of cheese balls flowing to my group all night haha. No food though.

Absolutely blown away by the quality and creativity of the cocktails here. First went during Hamtramck Music Festival and even with a packed house and a show going on, the bartenders worked quickly and managed to find time to explain the thoughts behind some of the drinks. An immediate favorite and will definitely be back.

Fun venue. Band performances were dope, especially Pretoria, who comes from Grand Rapids.

Visited for a cocktail camp class and had a blast. Can't really comment on the drinks since we made our own, but the bar itself is a great space.
