I highly recommend Bartlett’s Florist, for anyone looking for wedding flowers! I found it through my church bulletin (St.Philips the Apostle in Clifton) and thought it would be perfect to get flowers both for myself and for the church. From the very first meeting, Marietta was amazing. We met a couple of times to go over the types of flowers for my bouquet, and she even showed me examples of the blooms she would use. We discussed every detail, from how the bouquet should be draped and having all the stems wrapped in ribbons, to adding a small crucifix with stones that matched the lace applique on my dress. She even confirmed the exact length of the bouquet (9 inches) that I wanted. On the day of the wedding, I was absolutely amazed when the bouquet was delivered—it was even more beautiful than I had anticipated. It was easy to carry and looked stunning in my bridal photos! I was even more impressed when I arrived at the church and saw the bouquets on either side of the altar. They were gorgeous, large, and perfectly matched the colors of my bouquet. Marietta also created a beautiful Mother Mary bouquet, all within a reasonable cost. Marietta is a joy to work with, and she truly brought my vision to life—not just for my bouquet, but for all the floral arrangements at the church. If you’re considering wedding flowers and want them to match your ceremony perfectly, Bartlett Florist is the way to go!

A long overdue review for Bartlett's. Marietta and her team were my favorite people to collaborate with for my wedding on May 25, 2024. Marietta went above and beyond to ensure I had exactly what I dreamed of for my bouquet of white peonies. She even sourced them from two places, including Holland, to make sure they arrived on time, as they were out of season in New Jersey. She and her team also set up everything for our ceremony, including beautiful floating candles. I am forever grateful for their creativity and passion. Bartlett's has been—and will continue to be—our florist for all special occasions!

Walked in last minute for some white roses for dinner party centerpieces. Once I explained my idea, they took my jars themselves and created the simple bouquets for me, and put in a box with holders so they would make it to the venue intact. Great service and the roses were extremely beautiful and elegant. Very happy with the quality and help! I didn’t catch the woman’s name who helped me - but thank you!! FYI cash only, but there is an atm onsite. Update: the flowers are still going 10 plus days later! Worth the price.

Bartlett's has been my go-to florist for decades. From sad to happy occasions and anything in between. I have also stopped in last minute several times to bring something to a host or family or friend. Always beautiful arrangements and their customer service is the best. I never worry when I call over the phone to have an arrangement delivered sight unseen. The text or calls you get when the flowers are delivered says it all! Thank you, Bartlett, for your expertise, professionalism and "old-fashioned" style of doing business. I love it! Ps: just got a txt from a friend who just received an arrangement and said OMG!

Bartlett’s has been nothing short of amazing! I called this morning to see if it would be possible even on short notice (because life is lifeing unfortunately) For a bouquet of flowers or some sort of Floral decoration could be placed at the immaculate conception gravesite of my grandmother (I live in Florida) Today would’ve been her 100th birthday and she passed one year ago. They were exceptional and put together exactly what I asked for and even more! I am extremely grateful for what they did for me and my family today and would recommend them 100%

This has to be one of the best flower shops in all of New Jersey! A family owned business that I have been coming to my entire life and even after moving far away I still make it a point to visit for some fresh flowers. What I love is the attention to detail that they put in to every order and how long the flowers last! If you're in the North Jersey area and are in need of some flowers this place will not disappoint!!

I purchased flowers at Bartletts and went to pay with my credit card...I was told cash or check only. I didn't have enough cash and did not have a check on me. The guy at the counter said, "it's ok, just come back and pay us another time. " I was in shock ! What business is trusting enough to do that with a customer ? They remind me of the way businesses used to be run...decent and kind. I buy all my flowers there now and I tell others that story and encourage them to go there as well. I hope they never change.

Bartlett's provided the flowers for a family funeral. They did a fabulous job, the flowers were beautiful and helped us at a sad time. Marietta went above and beyond to get the flowers we wanted. Thank you!

My BF bought me a bouquet of cut flowers 15 days ago and they still look beautiful. Sure a few (like 2 or 3) of the flowers dried up a bit but when you look at it is still so pretty and colorful. Personally I have ordered flowers for funerals from Bartlett's and they have been beautiful as well. Great people working there make it super helpful too.

Marietta always makes the most beautiful arrangements. I leave it up to her and it is always stunning. This was for my wife's birthday.

Literally the worst experience ever! I've been to this florist before, I often get bouquets made, and this time was completely unprofessional. I was there for over 40 minutes and 2 other customer (with fairly large orders) both paid and left before I could even get a simple bouquet arranged. I gave simple instructions and colors and creative freedom to arrange some flowers. I explained the event and my budget and that clearly wasn't so simple to understand. As I waited and waited watching 2 workers help a customer, another in the greenhouse, and more people in the back my flowers never came out!! When they did they fell very very short of my expectations. This was unbelievably sad and equally frustrating. I raised my budget in order to get something more, but that added about even more time and ABSOLUTELY NO WORK TO THE FLOWERS! When they finally arrived they were terribly wrapped in tissue paper, no plastic sleeve. Completely and shockingly disappointed. I've purchased arrangement from here (THAT IVE ORDERED ON THE SPOT) and they have come out absolutely amazing. When I confronted the staff about the wait and the quality they quickly said "they were busy" and they didn't have enough people working (mind you 4 people in a flower shop) and not everyone can "design".....like come on!! I cannot believe this!!! I explained how I could have easily picked an arrangement out of the case if It was going to take this long and that "they were busy and understaffed) why waste everyone's time and damage your reputation? The staff was rude to me personally, because they were having a grand time with the other customers when they came and left. I honestly feel embarrassed gifting these flowers because of how they look. Especially when they said "not everyone can design" so the person who can design took 40 minutes to make this?!?! The quality of the flowers are nice, the craftsmanship, customer service, and professionalism fell below the bar this time.

Also helpful and Client focused! They know all their returning clients and work with them to get exactly what they wanted! Always glad to direct business their way!

I received this gorgeous floral arrangement from my boyfriend on Friday for our anniversary, and it is getting more beautiful every day. Now the peonies have all opened and the fragrance is incredible. I could not be more thrilled or impressed with the beauty, artistry, and attention to detail that went into this gorgeous work of art and nature. Bartlett always does an amazing job, but this arrangement tops them all!!

BRING CASH. They only accept cash and not cards. Great place to get flowers if you need a bouquet last minute. They also can put together a wreath for you during the holiday season which would be a great present for family or friends. I stopped by on a Sunday the week before Christmas and it was packed. Since there isn't enough space in the place for a formal line, it was a bit hectic with everyone moving around putting in their orders. I needed a bouquet to bring to the hospital and the staff was able to put one together for me based on the occasion, and the colors I wanted to use. If you're getting flowers in a vase (like I did), they fill it up to the brim with water and while they give you a box to hold the flowers in place, the box didn't work for me and my vase ended up tipping in the car and spilling over. Make sure you either have someone to hold the vase in the car or just spill our most of the water before putting it in your car.

I stopped in for potting soil and supplies to re-pot houseplants for myself and my daughter. The soil they sold me was not properly stored and within a few days we were both overwhelmed with raging fungus gnat infestations that quickly spread to my 30+ healthy plants. I called Bartletts several times. No one could help me and the owner would never get on the line but promised a call back, which I didn't receive. This is a miserable infestation and the severity just kept increasing as I struggled to try online remedies costing hundreds of dollars. I like to support local businesses but THIS IS NOT ONE I RECOMMEND.

We used Bartlett's for our wedding dinner centerpieces -- they did a fantastic job. They were very accommodating even with just a week's notice for 5 centerpieces. I didn't really have an idea of what I wanted, i just gave the color scheme and told them to roll with it (which admittedly made me a little nervous but they really got EXACTLY what i wanted. i was BEYOND happy) Minus 1 star because we weren't aware or informed that they only accept cash or checks until the day we picked up our flowers which was a little off-putting (don't mind the cash only rule but it would've been nice to have been told the day we placed the order so we could come prepared). Overall we were very very happy with our centerpieces and will definitely be back to Barlett's (with cash) for all of our flower needs. Thank you Barlett's!

I first learned of Bartlett's when I had flowers delivered to me. It was THE most beautiful arrangement I've ever seen -- even more beautiful than my very intricate flowers at my wedding. Sine then I have ordered other arrangements, and they have nailed it every time. STUNNING. They're super kind and gracious too -- when I forgot my wallet, they happily let me take the bouquet and told me I could pay them later. That kind of service is unheard of these days.

These are the most beautiful flowers I've seen! I called at 11am for same day delivery. I spoke to Marietta who asked me what my mom's favorite color was and came up with the most beautiful arrangement! They delivered within a few hours and my mom LOVED them! She said everyone at work was asking where she got them from and were taking pictures. I received excellent service. They were so friendly and caring! Definitely recommend this place.

I saw the good Yelp reviews and called Bartlett's from California to order birthday flowers for my dear Aunt. I wanted something exceptional but wasn't sure exactly what to get. We talked over their inventory and I decided on tie dye roses, which I never heard of before. The ordering process was easy and the prices were as expected for a dozen roses around Valentines DMy Aunt loved the roses and told me how nice the person was who doube checked to be sure she would be home to receive the delivery. I will definitely use Bartlett's again!

We had a loss in the family on Christmas morning and went into Bartlett's the morning after the order arrangements for the funeral. Saying funeral flowers were beautiful sounds SO odd but they truly were. Every single person noted how beautiful they were and how my Grandmother would have loved them. I could not recommend Bartletts enough.

The owner has old school Americana charm. She was very efficient and when I stated the occasion she directed me to the designer. She asked a few questions and her knowledge of her craft was evident. I told her my wife's favorite flowers and I was told to come by in as little as 20 minutes if I wanted and they would have my gift for my wife's special day ready for me. I arrived about an hour later and walked in and the ladies were attending to another customer. Same line of questioning was asked to the women who was having an event later in the week. She had nothing but great accolades to state about the shop. I stated I was the gentleman that called for my wife and they went to the back to get my order. When she arrived it was more than I envisioned it was exquisite. From beginning to end a pleasant experience. A hidden little gem. I will be back!!!

Some may feel this florist is expensive but you get what you pay for in this case. The owner is highly involved and present. She will order you what ever flowers you request. The gave unique arrangements and gifts and they are open 365 days a year. It is great to be able to stop there on the way to an event and pick up your fresh flowers when you need them instead of the day prior.

Amazing customer service! Did not know of cash only policy and was allowed to come back to pay. Feels like the small businesses in my neighborhood growing up. We asked for a specific plant and were provided with exactly what we wanted. I've found my new favorite place for flowers and plants. Highly recommended them over all others in the area.

I went in last minute and requested a flower arrangement for my anniversary. Within 1 hour I picked up a beautiful flower arrangement at a reasonable price. The service was great in that they worked to create the best arrangement for my price point, and the people were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The arrangement was very well constructed and lasted for over 3 weeks. It was also packaged well for transportation. Excellent local florist; I will be back!

Beautiful work on funeral flowers for my loved one. The ladies in the shop were professional and warm. Will definitely be back! They don't take a card but they did take my personal check (I'm local) so that saved me a cash run which I appreciated.

Their flowers are pretty, but the owner is rude. I needed flowers for my baby's funeral service. (The service was very intimate, so I didn't need much). Their prices seemed high to me, and they wouldn't accept credit card as payment. So when I asked what flowers would fit into a specific price range, the owner became rude and flippant. I did end up buying the less expensive flowers, but they were wilting before the funeral service even began. The owner should have explained proper care to help prevent that from happening. Obviously, I'd never do business there again.

I stopped in here for Easter flowers and I am back again for a bouquet for a piano recital. Michael was super friendly and helpful both times. The flowers are beautiful and fresh. The arrangements are lovely and the potted plants are lovely. I would go out of my way (which I did) to come back here.

I came in here quickly in a pinch to buy flowers for a party. I was shocked at how inexpensive these beautiful flowers were here. The service was quick and friendly without being nosy, and they wrapped the flowers up in pretty paper. I will definitely come back here again, once the spring time returns so that I can plant some greenery in my yard. It's located in an odd location on Grove Street. Not much parking, from what I could tell, but if you can get yourself there, it's great!

A cut above the rest. They made an absolutely Stellar arrangement for my father's funeral. I was speechless. They were able to prepare It in 24 hours. For over 75 years, this award-winning family owned business is still going strong. Twenty-five years ago (Marietta & Judy) created the most gorgeous theme of arrangements for our wedding. I'm not really a flower person so I gave them full reign after giving them my budget, colors and our personality characteristics. Everything was imported since the only merchandise grown on site are garden plants and vegetables. Landscapers from all over the state are vendors and they also have an exclusive contract with the Meadowlands. You will not find flowers anywhere else that hold up longer than theirs. Try them once and you will forever be a customer. Parking can be difficult but you could park on the street opposite the shop.

I feel like family when I visit Bartlett's. Everyone is unfailingly friendly and helpful. Prices are good, and floral creations are beautifully artistic and long lasting.

I had the flowers for my wedding done by Bartlett's and they turned out amazing! I loved my bouquet and my bridesmaids, they really enhanced our dresses and were totally beautiful. The church and reception arrangements were perfect. Marietta made sure everything was perfect and she is a great person to work with and really treated us like family. The church runner, flower girl basket, and ring pillow were also beautiful and everything was delivered promptly where it needed to be and I was worry free. I can't recommend Bartlett's enouph.

Marietta said no problem asked my what kind of flowers and gave me a couple of examples and then created and delivered a most amazing bouquet that my Aunt absolutely loved. Thank you !!!!!

I have been buying flowers and plants at Bartlett's for 40 years and have always been extremely satisfied. Our family used to live nearby. They remember what my mother likes when I buy her flowers from out of state. Bartlett's even delivers to mom who moved out of their delivery area. Quality of flowers and plants are outstanding.

The perfect little flower shop.. A true GEM! I've lived in Clifton all my life and have always passed the shop but have never gone inside. A few months ago my friend used them for her wedding and I was blown away with the centerpieces, at a very reasonable price may I add. So I took a trip and was so excited with how fresh the flowers were, the sweetness of the staff & the adorable cute pre-made bouquets! I've always complained there aren't any flower shops in Clifton that you can walk into and get a unique bouquet but not anymore!! :) Ps I didn't know it's cash only & they said "no problem you can come back tomorrow or mail a check" - this is unheard of anymore!
