Base Face Pizza - Putney

Base Face Pizza is easily my new go-to pizza place in Putney. The starters were outstanding — especially the prawns in chilli oil, the bread, and the flatbread with mozzarella. Everything was full of flavour and beautifully done. The pizzas themselves were excellent as well: fresh, balanced, and clearly made with care. I used to be a big fan of Santa Maria, but in recent times it has felt a bit lacklustre. Base Face has completely taken that spot for me now — both for sitting in and for takeaway. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Just a genuinely lovely place all around. Highly recommended.

OMG this pizza is insanely good! I lived I italy for many years so am very fussy about what constitutes a real good pizza and this surpasses all expectations! If this pizza were served in Naples, no one would argue. 10/10, would abandon all self-control again - yes I also indulged in their 2 for 1 cocktail offer and the Negroni’s really hit the spot too!

Top tier, quality pizza! Been wanting to try Base Face for a while, and took the opportunity when meeting a friend for dinner in Putney! The pizza’s are simply excellent, delicious dough, a great tomato sauce and superb toppings. The Picante cocktail is also one of the best spicy drinks I’ve enjoyed! We came on an evening with live blues music, it was a great atmosphere and we thoroughly enjoyed the pizza, and the music. The service is excellent too!

Loved Base Face 🍕—the pizza was incredible with a perfectly crisp base and amazing flavor. Big shout-out to Ky, who was super friendly and made the experience even better with her great service. Can’t wait to come back!

I can only recommend going there – it’s absolutely worth it! We even went back several times because we enjoyed it so much. The food is very very good. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, especially Claudia. She was unbelievably sweet, took the time to chat with us and even shared great tips on places to visit in London. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever experienced such warm and personal service anywhere else. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also wonderful. We felt truly comfortable and at home every single time we visited.

Amazing pizzas here. The service is also 10/10. We got the Diavola and Truffle Shuffle both which were perfect. The pizza sauce was very flavourful with the perfect amount applied on the Diavola. Highly recommend!

New favourite pizza place in the area. Authentic dough and really interesting flavour combinations! Staff were lovely and friendly and you can tell it's a nice place go work. Decor is cool too!

“If pineapple on pizza is a crime, then put me in jail.” 🍍🚨 A memorable quote from Ky, who provided some amazing Aussie hospitality at Base Face in Putney - where the pizza is delicious (shout out to the Cheeky Pineapple) and the Nutella churros are -dare I say it - even better. It’s amazing dough - light and chewy. And the tunes were great too 🎵 I have now had my recommended yearly intake of sugar and carbs, but I’ll be back again soon enough for more. Thanks Ky! ☺️
