Had the pulled pork combo meal very good! The only thing is the cole slaw seemed to soak the bottom bun, it turned to mush. Otherwise great, good regular and hot sauce, excellent fries! The staff is friendly, place is clean, and you smell the smoker from outside!!

Original review down below , this place is good but inconsistent, today I ordered the turkey tips kinda tough but eatable , flavor was there and they was grilled to a crisp (turkey tip had bones) however the mac and cheese tasted spoiled. Last time I was here I tried the brisket sandwich and it was extremely tough which was a first for me when it comes to brisket. Ultimately not a bad restaurant just wish the consistency was here. (Original review 2 yrs ago) This place was really good best bbq on the westside I ordered the Tip & link combo , 2 jerk tacos and the Nashville chicken sandwich. The tips were good could be less fatty but tasted really good especially with the mango pineapple sauce they had on it , the hot link was flavorful tasted hints of Tabasco which ain't a complaint , the jerk chicken tacos were ok but good enough sense this place focuses on bbq but if you have high standards for jerk chicken I wouldn't order it. Lastly the Nashville sandwich was 🔥 , definitely would order it again. Overall the place was good workers were very professional, food came out within 15 minutes. In conclusion I will be back.

Tired for the first time, it was catered to us at work. Food was individually packed. I got pulled pork sandwich it came with fries. The sandwich was amazing, the fries were a bit soggy but still good. Coworkers got chicken wings she said were good. Another coworker got the brisket sandwich which she said had a lot of fattening on it. Potato salad was decent but beans were disgusting. Need to go in person and try out the place

This place is a joke . They have kids running this place with out any true supervision. Stopped by just to try it out, ordered a brisket sandwich. Waited for almost 20 min for it so I can get a sandwich full of burnt brisket. IF u want anything fresh this isn't the place . Looks like they have everything made from I don't know how many days in the cooler they just preheat it or in my case burn it .

I try to support local businesses especially black owned. Decided to order an hour after opening thinking I would get a fresh batch. Not the case. Everything tasted like it was from the previous day or two. Perhaps it was a "bad" day. I'm willing to give them 1 more try. Until then I cant recommend.

The hot fried chicken sandwich and it's captured splatter design is impeccable and a pure joy to devour. Hot, spicy, savory and takes up a lot of mouth and paw real estate. I was sad to see them part ways with a brioche bun and go with a Turino style bread. Go back to Brioche!! Fries are pretty good but not exactly a desirable pairing. I can see the similarity to In and Out Burger's fries in terms of texture and veg oil and how they added a splash of garlic parsley seasoning to differentiate. Slaw is ON POINT THO and I love how it topples the sandwhich. All this place needs a strong kitchen backcourt so the owners and operators can focus on customer service, hitting financial targets, and ensuring quality control. I LOVE THIS SPOT over the traditional BBQ places in the city. Basehit is actually a HOMERUN!!!

Just tried this place for the first time and the food was delicious. I had the grill chicken it was good with the mango sauce. My daughter had the chicken tips and we also got an order of rib tips. Everything was good. Plus the two young men , working in there provided good customer service. We definitely will be back.

Got a meal for my family last night because the first time we went (maybe a year ago?) was really good. None of my food was edible without me doctoring it up. The pulled pork was dry, which is nuts because it was also swimming in grease. It was spicy for no reason. Not a good spicy, just hot and dry. The fries were limp with no measurable salt. The ribs were spicy without sauce, so my 5 year old really didn’t eat anything except the included bread. The rib tips were tough. None of the meat was tender or juicy or delicious. The ONE star is both for the mac n cheese and because we have to give at least one. Oh, also, the coleslaw had dried cranberries in it which felt like a joke was being played on us. I can’t even give it a second chance. I’m done.

I was pleasantly surprised by Basehit BBQ. It's rare to come across a new BBQ joint that properly cooks rib tips. (Check out my review of Honey 1 BBQ for a quick history lesson on Chicago style BBQ.) Basehit does an above average job of preparing good eats. I wasn't a big fan of the hot links, but would reorder everything pictured. Service was efficient and friendly. The offer a variety of sides, but I haven't tried. Even the best BBQ joints tend to serve mediocre sides. Next time I'll give them a try. .. maybe I'll it'll be another pleasant surprise.

Oh boy, today I'm forced to be "that guy". I went to BaseHit BBQ because Lexington Betty's was closed. BaseHit was a few blocks away and the menu looked promising. I went in to order 2 turkey tip meals with sauce on the side and an order of coleslaw. The cashier was nice, took my order, and told me it'll be about 10 minutes. After about 17 minutes (still no problem) i got my food. I drove all the way back home to find out that i have NO sauce in the bag. So, I'm sitting here with 2 orders of dry turkey with no sauce. I called BaseHit to tell them that I had no sauce, they apologized and then offered me a free item from the cooler i.e., a pop, a slice of cake, or a Gatorade. I appreciate the gesture, but I won't be back. The food wasn't hot, and the turkey was dry and full of bones. When I say that there were bones, i mean, they were all throughout the meal. It was hard to pick up a piece of turkey without finding bone fragments in it. I've eaten turkey tips from all over the United States and never had bones mixed in with the food. The fries in both orders were greasy, soggy, and barely warm. The coleslaw was mostly concerning because it smelled a little metallic. I cannot identify the smell, but it was not a fresh smell. One order had bread, the other one didn't. There was no consistency in the meals. I added my own BBQ sauce to try to save the meal, but it was just no edible. I'm so disappointed. I ended up peeling the meat from the bones and serving it to my dogs, then ordering food from Earl's BBQ. The pictures will show you the difference between BaseHit and Earl's. The pictures show 2 photos of the turkey tips, 2 photos of the bones from each meal, and the last photo is my order from Earl's BBQ.

I pass by BaseHit all the time and it seemed they had completely shut down during COVID. But I'm glad they're up and running again. This place is located where Harolds used to be. Still quite upset about that actually. It's obviously carry out with maybe one table inside, but nobody ever dines in at these place. The young guy working the front was very welcoming and had a great attitude while we waited for our food get prepared. It did take longer than I would have hoped, but I guess that's why we practice patience right? My wife ordered their tips and wings, with mild sauce, which is a mix of both their hot and sweet sauce. I ordered their tips and links combo with their hot bbq sauce. My wife's wings were amazing. You get an option of fried or grilled?!?! Hello, fried of course! They were fried perfectly and huge. And most importantly very tasty. The sauce on the tips carried some heat. Very tasty sauce. My only complaint is an important one. The tips seemed overcooked. A lot of hard pieces and difficult to chew. If they can fix that, this place would be golden. I'll definitely be back though.

We really enjoyed our experience with the food and service. I ordered the following: -Rib Tips w/ fries (Regular) -Hot Chicken w/ Fries -Mac & Cheese -Brisket Sandwich I do prefer that they only dab the sauce because I don't like it when my ribs are smothered in too much sauce. I like to enjoy all the flavors without overshadowing the others. The price is affordable and the portions are good. Let me tell you about the fries...it is amazing. It's too bad they don't serve a homemade garlic ranch, but I would like to suggest this :). The Hot Chicken is perfection. The Mac & cheese, I would suggest to skip this: not seasoned well. The brisket, maybe I got an overcooked one because it was dry already--we ordered around 5pm. Overall, the packaging is very neat and the food is great.

Bbq is a joke. Taste like it's been boiled not cooked on a pit. The person preparing your food looks disgusting. Long Dreds down back(violation) all hair must be covered when serving food. Pants sagging (really). Another Black owned business serving sub par food that's why they don't last long in business.DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY !!!

So glad I tried this place. The flavor was amazing. There was good smokey flavor. Extremely tasty.

The people were nice but that's about where it ends. We went there and the food was undercooked as far as the chicken and sitting a long time as far as the rib tips. The fresh cut fries were great with the barbecue sauce and that's all we were able to eat.

The brick and mortar location has not been open for over a year. Don't bother. It appears that it open but it's always locked

I stopped in asking if they served turkey products and was happy to know that they had turkey tips. It's a good bet that I won't stop in again. The cashier was great (which is the reason for the 3rd star) as she answered my questions about the sauces, sizes, and time I would have to wait for the order. She even offered to bring the order to my car when it was ready. The sauce (mixed sauce, suggested by the cashier) was tasty but the tips were another story. Very boney!!! I was constantly looking for the actual meat. I've had turkey tips from other establishments and this one pales in comparison. Additionally, I expected for the order to be hot, after I had to wait the 15 minutes that the cashier told me it would take. Nope- it was lukewarm. They have potential but I will let someone else tell me if they reached that potential.

I was very excited about having a BBQ joint a block away so when I caught wind of their opening, I couldn't wait. The first time we visited, the place had been open a week or two. We ordered the ribs for my boyfriend and the rib tips and link for me. We rushed home, a block away and dove into the paper baskets. So....the first thing I noticed was that the rib tips were very tough. I tried to chew my way through a couple other peices but it was all quite tough. I tried the hot link which was fine but then something else crept in. The heat from the sauce. I asked my boyfriend what sauce did they put on the meat and he said the man there recommended the hot which added a little heat but not too much. The heat was unbearable to me. I tasted no smoke and found no smoke ring. It was just a pile of tough over hot meat. The portions were large but I couldn't eat it. My boyfriend gave me a rib and we both found them to be tough and lacking any smoke flavor as well. He didn't finish his basket either. The sauce was horribly hot. We ended up throwing it all in the trash and visiting the BBQ spot in downtown Oak Park. Fast forward to last night....I wanted to give them another shot and ordered the sweet sauce. I got the tips again and he got the pulled pork sandwich with the cole slaw on the side. We get our food home and dive in. His sandwich was a soggy mess because the cole slaw was put on the sandwich instead of the side but the pulled pork was dry. He ended up putting some Salt Lick BBQ sauce on the sandwich so he could eat it because he was starving. My tips were tough and the sauce was still too overpowering, but the heat was less then before. This was not what I wanted so I threw it in the trash again. I'm not going to eat food just because it's in front of me. It has to be good and worth the extra calroies that I will be forced to exercise off. Just some background on me. I grew up eating BBQ and I love Chicago aquarium smoked BBQ. I am a frequent visitor to local bbq spots including Smoque, Alice's on 43rd, Lem's, Hecky's and a few others. I'm in Austin Texas monthly and I eat at Salt Lick BBQ in Driftwood at least once during my visit, and not the airport location. I know my BBQ. The BBQ here lacks depth and I don't think it's slow-smoked for a long enough time. The sauce is needlessly spicy. The feature should be the meat and the sauce the supporting character. The sauce here is so overpowering that it's impossible for the meat to take centerstage. I can't wait to move back downtown so I can finally have access to great BBQ. I wish this establishment the best but it's not for me. I will not be back.

Based on previous reviews I had very high expectations for this restaurant. Unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. This was the first time in my life that I actually tossed my whole order in the garbage after a single bite. (Pulled pork sandwich). The food had a weird chemical smell. My food tasted like it was rotten. I tried my friend's chicken wing, which was decent. While at the restaurant I found it unsettling that the majority of the customers were walking into the back of the open kitchen where my food was being prepared. I really hope I just had a bad experience but I will not be back.

I come here often for their pulled chicken, sliced turkey and rib tips. Their tacos are really good, too. I love their different types of barbecue sauces and special beverages. If you're in the area and in the mood for barbecue definitely stop here. There is plenty of street parking and then afterwards treat yourself to coffee across the street or ice cream.

This is my favorite item on the menu, it's great with the quarter slab of ribs! Or you could take it home use as side dish with steak. The cheese and jerk chicken play great off each other.

Had driven by this place twice early on at times when they should have been open and weren't. Thought I'd give it one more shot and it was, so time to try it out. Mixed thoughts overall, but nothing that can't be changed. First off, it's a new place and the people there seem really nice. That's a good start in and of itself. Anyone can make great food nowadays, but it seems like good people are hard to find. The people serving me probably have a vested interest in the place - good to see that they "get it" from a customer service perspective. I ordered the pulled pork with fries - cole slaw on the side. On the menu it references a "choice of sauces", but I don't recall being asked. My sandwich came with the mango sauce, which was pretty good and somewhat unique - kudos on that. But the actual BBQ flavor of the meat lacked a little depth that I'm accustomed to at places like Hecky's, Q or Smoque. Soggy. The fries were good but if I were to describe their texture, the words "wet limp" come to mind. I was ok with them and the flavor was good - but fries just shouldn't be like that. Also, Base Hit strikes out where the bun is concerned. I'm not usually much of a "bun fanatic", besides, it's the meat that BBQ is all about. But this was a very ordinary bun that was mush by the time I finished the sandwich. And I live nearby and am a fast eater, so it wasn't a timing thing that turned the bun into soup. It needs to hold up to the sauce better. I asked if the cole slaw was sweet or of it had a slight horseradish kick. I was told it was sweet - but it did end up having the kick I asked about. No big deal - I actually prefer that, but I was a little surprised after asking. I want to like this place and will likely be back. The value was pretty good for the entree - a big plus. Just hope they make a fix or two - especially where the bun is concerned.

NOT a home RUN, maybe 2nd base .I ordered the tip/4 wing combo.. they did not have the potato salad i ordered the tips are tuff!! wings are a nice size, fries were so small i didn't even see them, they were in the bottom soaking in sauce n grease, the sauce was the bomb!! wings were ok..

This is the spot for BBq! I enjoyed the flavor of the mango and the heat from the Base sauce. Definitely will be back, gotta come Tuesday to get some of that jerk chicken.

The wings and ribs were amazing! I'll miss this place when I head back to California!

Hello !!! Base Hit Restaurant Was Temporarily Closed And I Really Had A Taste For Their Rib Tips And Hotlinks !!!!! Please Let Me Know When They Open Again Because I Love Their Food !!!!!!

I really loved their juicy tender ribs sampled at Windy City RibFest, but rib tips at this location were heavily charred which was not to my liking. The spicy sauce had an enjoyable flavored kick and beans were tasty. Service was excellent. However, I wish they would have wet wipes available instead of hand sanitizer liquid because eating ribs is messy. I still prefer Lem's on 75th Street for rib tips.

Went there for the first time. Had bbq chicken and rib tips.. Food was good, but being a bbq place, they were EXTREMELY skimpy on the bbq sauce. My chicken barely had sauce on it, it was actully dry , felt like just fried chicken, just one strip of sauce on it and I barely had fries. Live up to your name , like Leons.. our orders are always drenched in sauce when we go there. It isnt bbq without being covered in sauce. Also, the person answering the phone , needs to learn better manners.. Your food was good, Please dont cheap out on the sauce !!!

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile. When I heard them on the radio I said that's it let me go. I was not disappointed. I order a slab of ribs, ribs tips, and chicken. I love their three different sauces. There something for everyone. I like the spicy-ness of the food.

Great BBQ place, let me start there. The portions were great and the ribs were off the bone. I tried the rib tips and a full slab, while my partner in crime dug into a pulled pork sandwich. The sauce was different than your typical sweet BBQ, but it did have a rich smoky flavor. The plates were priced right for the portions and they do fill you up. 1st time visiting, always drove by it and got a scent for that BBQ grub. I will definitely visit again and try something new such as their brisket or chicken. Check this place out and support your local community small business. Overall great BBQ!

If I could do no stars, I would. Worst ever! Chicken was raw, covered in tasteless sauce. Cold fries. Bread was fresh, but inedible due to being soaked in the sauce. Do yourself a favor and skip this!

I'm giving it two stars only for the man who seemed to be the manager. He made me feel like I was at home when we dealt with him in his establishment. He asked where we were from and he served every other customer that came in with a smile. There are two reasons why the business loses three stars. Reason 1 (one star): the cashier at the front register. When we walked in, I knew exactly what I wanted. I was excited to try their Nashville chicken sandwich with coleslaw and fries. I saw it on Instagram and told my wife that we have to go there. Now, I don't know if the lady didn't hear me correctly or what but when I told her I wanted the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich she started to ask me about sauces. She told me they had mild, hot, and another sauce. I just told her I want the Nashville Hot sandwich. She started to get irritated as she asked me again about a sauce so I just said hot. To try and calm the situation down, I just pulled up the Instagram video. I apologized for the confusion and thanked her when I got my card but I could tell she was still irritated with me, I didn't get a "thank you" but every other customer who came in after us did. Now granted, I understand that it can be irritating dealing with people who don't know exactly what they want but as a cashier, it's your job to help the customer understand something they seem to be confused about without getting upset with them. Reason 2: The food quality wasn't good. Both of our fries were cold. I started eating my meal as soon as we got outside into the car and I was shocked at how soft and cold the fries were. The chicken for the sandwich was too tough. You know how you bite into a chick-fil-a sandwich and you get a chunk of thick meat? This was the opposite of that. I found myself wrestling with the sandwich to separate my bite of meat from the sandwich. I felt as if we wasted our time (being that we were visiting Chicago from the south for the weekend) and money on something that wasn't what we expected. Hey, i guess we shouldn't try foods because it looks good on instagram.

Second time here and last time. Ordered tips and link combo for $12.99. Link was about 4 inches long and the tips were tough !! Place wasn't busy yet my order took about 20 minutes. People pay close attention if you use a charge card. I didn't look till I got home and there was an 18% tip on it !!!! Really a walkup place your order and pick it up and they smack you for an 18% tip !!! Totally BS !! Person taking order had no personality and should look for work elsewhere as he didn't seem to like the job. Non engaging. Place was also pretty dirty. Both tables were sticky and crumbs all over them. Also the shelf along the wall was also filthy !! Floor dirty but people in back didn't seem to care. There are plenty of BBQ places in the area to visit. Lexington Betty's comes to mind and she puts out an outstanding product consistently. This place has lost my business for sure.

I ordered the turkey tips from there, it came out to $13 & I tipped them a extra $2 (me being nice) when I get home to eat it's barely no meat & its not tips at all it's diced up so I couldn't tell they mostly put bones in the restaurant is ass do not attend unless u want disappointment

A great takeout bbq spot; the owners could not be more personable! They do deliver through Grubhub and UberEats. If picking up though, recommend either calling to place your order or going in directly, because the online order feature on their website isn't that great.

This place is a home-run. I tried the rib-tips , baked beans , coleslaw. Delectable is all I can say. Cant wait to try a slab . Yo Mama cant cook this good! Very happy to have them in my neighborhood. We'll be back very soon.

Our order: slab of ribs, 4 wings, and the hot chicken sandwich. Winner by landslide, (drum roll) HOT CHICKEN SANDWICH! It's a deep fried thigh dipped in their own hot sauce, topped with cole slaw on a bun! The chicken wings: great batter & phenomenal crunch however, I'm not a fan of plump chicken wings but my husband is and he loved them! Now to the ribs, bbq sauce has plenty of sweet but lacks tang. We like a little more smoked flavor and rub on our ribs. We shall meet again for the pull pork and jerk taco TUESDAYS!

Great tips and the chicken wings were surprisingly good! The seasoning on them wings reminded me of good old home fried chicken wings, like marinated overnight good! Juicy and perfectly cooked, not too hard. Rib tips were awesome and the sauce blended perfectly with them. I asked for their base sauce on everything, which is like a mild/sweet BBQ, then like I always do, asked for a SIDE of their hot BBQ just to try. Yes it's hot/sweet but very tasty! Perfect for when you just want to dip a few pieces in every few bites. I would definitely order from them again. I was pleasantly greeted as soon as I walked in the door, very polite and professional staff. Called in my order and it was ready as soon as I got there and payed for it. Can't ask for more!

I am from Tennessee. I love everything about barbeque - the tastes, the smells, the spices, and the rich history that comes with it. It is the quintessential flavor of summertime. I'm also a Black man. I am thoroughly proud to support nearly any Black-owned, Black-operated business. Unfortunately, I was thoroughly underwhelmed and disappointed from beginning to end with BaseHit - from the food to the service. Allow me to retell my experience on June 23, 2020. As a bit of background, I am an attorney working from home. I order delivery food so as to minimize the amount of time diverted from my matters during the day. On BaseHit's website, you can place an online order for either takeout or delivery. It is, to be fair, laid out well, gives you an estimated time of delivery, and it even sends you a text to identify that your order has been accepted. This background is important to this story. At 12:56 pm CT, I called the restaurant attempting to get clarification prior to using the aforementioned online ordering system; I also asked whether slabs of ribs were available (I was told it would be another hour). At 1:01 pm CT, I ordered the food online, received a confirmation email, and even received the confirmatory texts. The food was slated for delivery between 1:31 pm and 1:55 pm CT. I note that the confirmatory texts telling me that a) I would receive texts regarding order status and b) my order was accepted by BaseHit were the only texts I would receive at this point. At 2:42 pm CT, I call the restaurant, wondering where the food is. I call BaseHit for them to tell me that they, in fact, only use UberEats or GrubHub for delivering food (despite the entire delivery apparatus existing on their website, through which I made, paid for, and confirmed my order; it even asked for my address to ascertain the delivery area). This required me to leave my work (after over an hour past when the food was supposed to be delivered at the low estimate) and drive over to the restaurant. When I arrive, I saw an unprofessional scene. A group of four - an adult and three ostensibly teenagers - just sitting at a table in the front parlor. Just sitting, like customers, kicking it. I called ahead to let the person know the issue. The woman says, we only use the two delivery services I mentioned. When I ask about the delivery apparatus on the website, she has few answers. For my troubles, I received $2.00 - the amount of the delivery fee (for the delivery the restaurant does not, in fact, perform - but makes available on their website). It was not until 6:34 pm CT that I received a text saying the order is on its way. From where, and by whom, who knows? As to the actual taste...blah. A rather basic sauce, no ostensible spices or seasoning on the chicken or rib tips I ordered. The greens were, however, a good side. *Bonus*: over two hours after I called originally, there were STILL no ribs. The adult-in-charge stated it would be another 20 minutes. OVERALL: it is, unfortunately, what I should have expected from a Chicago barbeque joint. It doesn't have the history, the professionalism, or the dedication to that real family spirit that places like Memphis, St. Louis, anywhere in North or South Carolina or Austin, TX would bring. Just another "BBQ" restaurant slinging listless meat and sauce about. For those that know barbeque, I have yet to taste anything that compares to what I could get at home or in anyone's local cookout. As a supporter of Black businesses, however, I would love to be proven wrong.

Just came from this new place near the house.. must say bang for buck! Got their bucket of rib tips! Oh wow well worth the price and the tips are juicy and sauce is the bomb!!!! Their mild is mango n pineapple you can really taste it and their medium is perfectly spiced for me but for other maybe a bit too spicy but for me has the perfect spicy ness! If your in the area you gotta try them!!!

I've been wanting to try this place for a while. I came in today and told the young it was my first time here and I wanted to try the rib tips. I was offered no recommendations so I got tips and wings. Only fried wings were available so that's what I got. It only took 20 minutes which is reasonable. I'm very disappointed at the quality of the food here especially for the amount and price point. This could have been a off day or something but the ribs tips were bigger than I would like and very dry. I had more than 5 pieces that were so charred I couldn't chew out of fear of chipping my teeth. The rib tips weren't juicy at all and was served with wheat bread( I don't want wheat bread with tips or chicken ). My chicken was juicy and soggy at the same time. The skin on my chicken was slimy almost so I would recommend getting the wings fried hard. The seasoning on the chicken was perfect and someone else could enjoy. I will not be back but this restaurant appears clean. I really wanted to like this place but the food just wasn't fresh enough for me to like it. The star of my meal had to be the sauce and fries. I really enjoyed the homemade fries that soaked up the sauce and hot link.

I am in Chicago often for work and decided to try this place out. I could smell it before I parked my car. The son who was working the register guided me through the order. Enjoyed my pulled pork sandwich and fries. He said the brisket wouldnt be ready till 3 PM which was the only disappointment I had. Will be back for some brisket!!

Finally, a true BBQ joint. Meat is cooked in the wood fire pit right in front of you!! The tenderness of the meat, the tastiness of the sauces, & the friendly vibe is all there. It's a must try! Now let me get back to my wings and tips.

The seasoning on the hot chicken and wings are delicious. Tried the mango pineapple sauce on the wings and I was quite impressed. We had rib tips too, but they weren't very meaty or as impressive as the other dishes. My wife and I enjoyed the food a lot. Definitely deserves a return visit.

Bbq is an art, and Basehit Bbq is a masterpiece. I had the rib tip with the mango pineapple bbq sauce(a must have), and a mini tip with the sweet bbq sauce ( oh it have a touch of heat, yes). Now I have to taste the Jerk Chicken Tacos (Taco Tuesday $2).

It's ok, won't knock your socks off. The fries were very greasy and they only have one sauce with varying degrees of hot, so if you don't like mango pineapple there is nothing else. The chicken with the dry rub was the star. Also the catering menu is not what they have in store.

Amazing wings and fries. Base sauce is fantastic with a kick! Food was quick as well. Definitely a place I'm going back too.

I live in the area and have driven pass this restaurant several times. I finally decided to stop and was impressed with the cleanliness, service and food. I ordered the tip and link combo. The food was fresh. The tips were tender and the link had a nice spice. The bbq sauce was very tasty. I paid $13 but the quantity of food given seemed like it should have been for a "mini combo order". Other than that, everything was great.

Best new spot in town! You'll never want any other BBQ after eating here! You definitely have to try the hot chicken sandwich. Best thing I've eaten in a long time.

Amazing BBQ! Pulled pork with the pomegranate slaw is incredible. Service is great. The sauce has just the right kick at the right time. Ribs were super meaty. I'll be back again and again!

This past Saturday I placed an order for Turkey tips with mild sauce. There was nothing mild about the sauce. My tongue was scorched and my nose was running. I called to complain and they told me to come by the next day for a replacement. The only thing about that was they are closed on Sundays and Mondays. So I got my replacement on Tuesday but this time the tips were loaded with salt. All I wanted was some mild Turkey tips but instead I got the run around. I won't be going back.

This is one of the best bbq place I tasted around the Chicagoland.. I tried everything and I have nothing but good things to say. Customer service is superior. Welcome to the neighborhood.

Good ribs. Just too spicy for me. I didn't like the fries. They almost felt like they needed to be cooked longer. Not much space to eat in. Probably would return for ribs only. Great customer service

I decided to give them one more try after an early lunch two weeks ago when I ordered tips and links. The tips seem like they had just been taking out of the refridgerator and a warm and spicy barbecue sauce poured over them. The links were mushy like they're using poor quality of meat. Perhaps the tips were prepared the day before Today I said to myself, let's give them another try since I didn't feel like cooking dinner. What a mistake! I arrived at 7:12 and placed my order. I sat there and entertained myself for 30 minutes before my order was ready. I waited so long that I forgot what I ordered. Several families came in after me and received they're similar orders long before me. And nope, only one of those four orders was a call in. I was treated like a chump. The cashier recognized that I had been waiting a while and he apologized, saying he appreciated my patience. I told him I had no choice, you had my money. Then he offered me a free drink. No thanks pal! So I'm thinking the ribs, tips and links were going to be exceptional after the long wait. Nope, another disappointed and pricey meal. The tips were mostly over cooked and dried out. The links were still mushy but with a lingering sharp spice. The sauce was sweeter then I recalled from my first visit. My wife enjoyed her ribs for whatever that's worth. Poor service with a pricey product that doesn't cut the mustard. I give it one and a half stars.
