The duck was super tender and did not taste like any duck I’d had before. The sauce bowl in which the soba goes in was surprisingly delicate without the usual heavy handed flavoring. For the duck alone, I’d rate this 5 stars!
The egg tempura rice was flavorful. I could be eating this every day.

This is a famous Soba restaurant located in Tokyo, Japan known for their duck soba.
When we got there, the line was already quite long and it only kept growing. We ended up waiting for 93 minutes (1:32pm arrival and we got our dishes at 3:05pm).
Honestly, the soba was smooth, soft and very easy to eat. The meat quality was exceptional and the soup was also delicious. But was it worth the hype? Was it worth waiting for 1.5 hours? Definitely not.
The seating inside is tight but staff are attentive and efficient in serving the meals.
I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here again and I don’t think it’s worth checking out unless it’s not filled with tourists.

Delicious Soba! The duck was perfectly cooked and super soft, the fried egg rice was incredible as well. The atmosphere is cosy and modern with not too many seats. Absolutely loved this meal!

We paid about 2,000 yen for the recommended duck soba set and waited for about 2 hours to get in. It was definitely not worth the wait. The duck meat was good though.
They also have a fast track pass you can buy for 1,000 yen per person but I can't say it's worth paying 3,000 yen for soba.

◎Salty duck and dipping soba noodles
The curves of the bowl and thick buckwheat noodles are beautiful. The duck meat is thickly sliced and cooked at low temperature, so it is moist and full of flavor. The buckwheat noodles are thick and firm, but if the buckwheat flavor were stronger, it would be my favorite type of buckwheat noodle.
Tempura dregs, kujo leek, nori, wakame seaweed, chives and chili peppers are available on the table to change the taste.

A cosy restaurant that only seats 16 people upstairs. We ordered at the booth at the front entrance door and then waited. We had pork but it seems everyone tries the duck here, so I would like to try that next time. The pork and buckwheat noodles were tasty and just what we needed after a busy morning. There was a very long line when we left, so be prepared to wait.

The buckwheat noodles was a little too hard for my liking. BUT! The egg on rice was one of the most delicious meal. It’s simple yet difficult to make nice and crispy. The duck was also really good!
