Dominique Crenn Isn’t Afraid to Piss People Off in the Fight Against Climate Change | Eater SF

"I attended the Basque Culinary Center's event, where it announced Anthony Myint as this year’s winner of the international Basque Culinary World Prize and then hosted a full-day, sustainability-themed symposium featuring panels with world-renowned chefs; the program included a heavily attended “Forward Thinking” panel of short speeches followed by discussion and Q&A that focused on the impact and power of sustainability in restaurants and supply chains." - Matthew Kang

Good food, but ... - Hard to park - Dining room without charm - Young clumsy servers (but normal in a school) without any guidance/control from managers - Strange that at the end of the lunch nobody asked about our experince - Only one credit card reader : when out of order, you cannot pay (our case) There isthus room for improvement

An exceptional institution that sets the standard for culinary education. The Basque Culinary Center offers outstanding facilities and a comprehensive, forward-thinking program that truly prepares students for success in the modern gastronomic world. A world-class experience from start to finish!

One of only few places I visited so far where literally your imagination is the limit. Speaking mainly for food of course, but also for different event types. To enhance the whole experience being there, everything is always well organised. And lastly if there isn't any reason to enter the building, worth visiting an exterior part.

Great experience with the current and likely future talent of Basque modern cuisine! Price is very reasonable and service is quite good (always considering that it is an academy)

Yelp
This is an outstanding culinary school in San Sebastian, which architecture resembles somehow a stack of plates one on top on each other. Just an astonishing building surrounded by breathtaking views of San Sebastian. This culinary school has two restaurants; one is kind of informal (however the setting and decoration are outstanding); and the other one has a more sophisticated ambiance where a more elaborated sample-course meal is served. Starting from the welcome cocktail to the last dessert and coffee, this 8-course meal is outstanding. The flavors and presentation are outstanding. They make you feel you are dining in any of the top restaurants in the world. And given that this is a culinary school and the cooks and waitstaff are all students, they are all trying their best to provide not only an amazing food product, but also an overall experience for your remaining senses. Every dish was beautifully executed and carefully explained when served. Same way with the wine. Each dish was perfectly paired with a delicious wine. This was an experience like no other. Also, you can notice the professors on the floor making sure that everyone was taking care of the way it should, but is a way that you would forget you are in a restaurant basically run by students. All my admiration to every single student that made this experience memorable. If in San Sebastian, I highly recommend paying a visit to this place. Please make sure you make reservations since the seating is very limited.
