The 25 Best Restaurants In San Sebastián - San Sebastián - The Infatuation

"Local Basqueland beer is one of Spain’s most awarded craft beers, and the brewery was started by two Americans who missed drinking great IPAs. In 2020, Izakaia opened as a beer-forward snack bar with the same raison d’etre—all while creating a spot with good energy, killer ramen, and beer to match. The bar is open every day until after midnight, with a rotating selection of their latest beers, a menu of Japanese fusion dishes, and even natural wines. This is ramen you should never pass on, and the spicy, meaty soup pairs surprisingly well with their cult classic Santa Clara lager." - marti buckley

Great craft beers. The food was a good surprise. I am Asian and I mostly avoid Asian food while travelling in Europe because it’s never as good as back home. A number of bites here were definitely Chinese or Asian inspired but not authentic to the original. They were innovative and very tasty. The dandan noodles come at 3 levels of spice. I had level 2 which was ok spice for a palate that is used to fiery dishes. Staff were very friendly and gave good recommendations for beers to try. They even gave recommendations to other small towns to visit and eat at. I really appreciated that!

To the "terrible guy with tattoos", thankyou so much for your lunch service today. Joan? What a legend. Don't listen to any complaints about this guy. Great service. And without even asking, he offered many tips for the rest of our vacation. The best dandan noodles and tantanmen we have ever eaten! And the beers are of an extremely high quality! Cheers guys 😀

Staff will focus on the locals. The locals will push past you to the bar. You will feel unwelcome. But they make some of the best beer in Spain and it doesn’t get fresher. Understand that Basques don’t mean it, understand the history, and just wait calmly for a drop of hop heaven. Food is also very good.

Great little craft beer place, lovely atmosphere and staff and the beer was tasty. Food looked good, but we weren't eating

Was staying in the old town but as a craft beer fan I recognized this brewery name from a beer fest years ago and decided to make walk over. The place itself has a perfect craft brewery vibe. Small and cozy, beer list on a homemade chalk boards and of course a great staff to help navigate ur visit. We stopped by shortly after open and the bartender was able to recommend a few different options including a beer that wasn’t on the list yet along with a bao bun that wasn’t listed either. Both were amazing.

Great spot to stop for a pint while exploring Gros. Their IPAs are better than most I’ve had in the US and would definitely recommend swinging by here if youre after craft beer. Food looked and sounded delicious but we had already eaten.

This whole street was recommended for food by the bike rental guy on the other side of town (Basque Epic)… stumbled on this restaurant as back home in the UK we love a hazy IPA or DIPA. They had a hazy on board, great friendly service from the American lady and three little Bao as a snack before we continued our journey! Sadly riding or we’d have had more… intrigued to try the Ramen so may visit again before the end of my trip! Really enjoyed!!!!
