Basquet - Review - Coconut Grove - Miami - The Infatuation

"Basquet is a grocery store and coffee shop in Coconut Grove. You won’t find Goya beans or McCarthur milk here. Instead, they sell beautifully-branded pantry items such as tinned fish, nut butters, pasta, and olive oils. The cafe side of the business makes matcha lattes, iced coffees, and other beverages topped with cold foam. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Mariana Trabanino

I will start by saying the atmosphere, the vibe, and the service was excellent. I would definitely swing by here for a coffee or a baked good. I would definitely return to this establishment treating this more like a coffee kiosk. There are three small tables so not a place you can stay for long and do work at in such a close and limited environment. Though everything was beautifully stocked, there were no prices on any of the shelves. I got two coffees, jerky, and sardines and my total came to $36. A bit overpriced in my opinion, and I wish that prices were clear. The vanilla maple latte with cold foam was great, the pistachio milk Matcha not so great.

I visited Basquet today for breakfast and had such a great experience! I tried the sourdough cachito which was incredibly delicious and also had the matcha which was smooth and flavorful. The place is not only super aesthetic and cozy but they also sell high quality products that really stand out. You can tell they care about every detail. I’m definitely looking forward to coming back soon!

Basquet is not for everyone, I gotta say that. Some people call it a grocery store but they are not a grocery store. They just have several small shelves with a pretty limited number of items which are priced pretty high, in my opinion. However, I think it is an interesting concept and provided they positioned themselves next to Mimi Yoga, is a smart marketing strategy as it naturally carries that traffic for customers who are looking for these kind of natural and clean label kind of products. They are also a coffeeshop and that’s what I came for. My recommendation is to stick to the basis, otherwise your drink will become overly priced. I had an iced latte($5.45) with homemade cold foam (it’s a $2 add). The foam was delicious but it disappears quickly, so it is something I won’t get next time I’m back. Overall, I liked the coffee, I wish it was a bit more acidic, but it was nicely balanced, something I would drink everyday.

Basquet has quickly become one of my favorite coffee spots in Miami. The coffee is consistently great, and the staff is warm and welcoming. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, grab a drink, and actually enjoy the moment.

Google
Very cute place but since it’s small, it gets very packed. All the employees were very friendly and sweet but I waited almost 45 minutes to get a matcha. I couldn’t even really walk around because of how packed it was and to not lose my place in line. I do like the concept of it though. I also prefer my matchas very sweet and it wasn’t that sweet, but you can tell everything was fresh and high quality.

This is the new it spot for coffee. The place is more of an organic store for products. They sell many wellness and items. The coffee is not that good for $10 dollars. It is more of a hyped up spot for the TikTok and insta photos.

The BEST latte I’ve had in a million years. Didn’t catch the name of the lady that made it, but she even said that mine was the best coffee she’s ever made. I’m very honored. It was delicious. Much success to you guys! 💪🏼⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sebas

Google
Super cute health oriented / organic grocery store! Minimalistic layout with clean ingredient products and a coffee bar! 4 stars because the items on the shelves were a little overpriced…. 29.99 for a small container of pistachio butter???? But the coffee was amazing and was fairly priced for the area! The baristas were very sweet & I got an iced latte with the cold foam (per the baristas reccomendation) and I got it with coconut cashew milk which was amazing!

Yelp
Basquet is a cute little market with a coffee shop tucked inside. I came specifically for the coffee, and while the setup is charming, parking is very limited which makes it a bit of a hassle to get in and out. I ordered a matcha with cold foam and a vanilla flavor that the barista recommended. It was really good; smooth, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet. That said, it was $9, which feels a bit steep for a matcha. I also tried the turkey cachito, which I enjoyed but again, $7 for a small pastry feels overpriced. Overall, the quality is there, but the prices might make me think twice. I'd come back if I'm already in the area, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way for it.

Yelp
I've seen Basquet pop up on my social feed quite a bit so I thought it was time to give it a try. Parking seriously is the biggest turn off with this experience. If you happen to go when a class is in session at the yoga studio next door, good luck finding a parking spot. The place itself is really cute. Friendly staff and a nice aesthetic to it. They have a small variety of groceries which is cool too. Overall, the coffee was okay. My friend had their matcha and described it as a bit watered down. It's a nice place but I wouldn't say it made my must-go-to list.

Yelp
I have been seeing all the girls go here recently I knew that I had to give it a try. The parking is limited it's next to Mimi Yoga. It is an upscale grocery store with a limited coffee menu. I got a latte with regular milk and foam and vanilla for a total of $9. That's a bit pricy. It is more of a place you go to for the vibe . It was very very busy with lots of girls and couples. Interesting concept. As a Nutritionist I loved to see all the different wellness products.

Yelp
I love this cute spot! Aside from being a little cafe, they sell so many snacks and goodies. I got the iced latte with the cold foam. It's perfect for coffee lovers: nice and strong and you can actually taste the espresso! It is not sweet, so if you like sweet coffee, make sure you get a sweetener! I also picked up a pack of glonuts. It was my first time trying that product, they were cold sugary and tasty! Love. Chairs are comfortable to sit in and the barista was kind and helpful! Have to retract a star for the difficult parking situation in that plaza
