It was birthday time again for me. It seems to happen every year or so. This time, we celebrated at Bath City Bistro, and this time, about 45 people showed up, all prepared to remind me that I ain't gettin any younger and time marches on.
Since I didn't have a hand in planning the surprise birthday party, I gleaned some information afterwards. Apparently, the staff at Bath City Bistro are prepared for small gatherings by renting out the spaces upstairs for private parties. They have two feather bowling lanes up there, one on either side of the floor, allowing for separate groups if need be. An elevator supplements the stairways for easy access.
The menu was simple. Salad and pizza, offered on a per-person basis, the price all tied in to bowling rental-by-the-hour. No need to bring your own bowling ball, or worry about renting shoes. They have you covered here, providing everything you need for a great time.
Since my group consisted of a variety of friends and family, this gathering proved to be quite a hit amongst many attendees. Just the right amount of space, the food was good, and we were up and away from the rest of the dining customers, able to have fun and converse in a casual setting. Additionally, an old-style clawfoot bathtub on display accents the decor nicely, along with the various framed pictures of Mount Clemens' heyday when it reigned supreme in the world for providing therapeutical mineral baths.
Sadly, I did so much socializing that I never took an opportunity to try my hand at bowling. Perhaps I can, one of these days .....
