Google
What a wonderful restaurant in Larchmere. The food was amazing, the service was pretty good and the cocktails were phenomenal (especially the Caipirinha). The appetizers were great, especially the grilled octopus. I would highly recommend you stop by. Only detraction was that their is no A/C and we went when it was 90 degrees out - and the dining room was hot!!! Other than that, this was one of my favorite restaurants in Cleveland.

Google
Batuqui was fantastic! We had a group of 17 and the service was still amazing. Everyone at our table was very satisfied with their meal. I had the key lime chicken, perfectly cooked with a crispy outside and so well flavored. All of the appetizers were delicious, as well. Everyone enjoyed their cocktails. The back tent area is well decorated with heaters and blankets for chill weather. Highly recommend and we will be back!

Google
Fantastic date night! Knowledgeable and friendly staff. We got a perfect table right by the fireplace. Great explanations of each dish and suggestions based on preference. Tasty drinks! My husband and I ordered most of our meal from the specials list. We tried several cocktails, the flaming Brazilian sausage as an appetizer, shared a steak dish, and topped it off with dessert. Everything was scrumptious! Definitely recommend!

Google
I can't say enough good things about the food and experience here. My wife grew up in Brazil and so Brazilian food is some of my favorite food. I much prefer the authentic to the high end "Brazillain" chain restaurants and this place did not disappoint. It's high quality and authentic. It was my birthday so I got the Brazilian Coconut Batidinha cocktail, the Salgadinhos which has the Coxinhas as part of it, the Churrasco de Picanha, side of fries, and the coconut butter cake for dessert. Every single thing I ordered was incredible. Everything about this place was top notch: food, drinks, atmosphere, service, everything. Highly recommend!

Google
I took my wife to Batuqui for her birthday today. We had a great time the food was excellent and I recommend the coconut cake for dessert. The drinks were very good sangria and the margaritas were made perfectly. We had pasta with shrimp and salmon. Also the pasta with mussels and shrimp. The portion are huge and we had to take half of it home. Can't wait for lunch tomorrow. The waitress was very good and explained everything and the staff came out and sang a Latino version of a birthday song. My wife loved it. We will be going back.

Google
I went for the first time for my 45th birthday and I can not tell you how amazing it was! The people there were so kind. The food was delicious and so flavorful. We had never had anything like it! I already want to go back

Google
Denise was a great server & added to our impromptu 17yr anniversary dinner. She provided great recommendations on food & drinks. Although I have this vegan meal every time, it NEVER disappoints. It looks simple, but it packs both flavor & texture. The portion size is very generous. The atmosphere allows you to escape Cleveland & be on vacation.

Google
We dined here for my husbands birthday with two friends last night and now I will recommend this restaurant to everyone! We sat outside as we are freeze babies in the AC, the front porch table was so cute even though we were right out front we still had privacy of being the only table in that area. Our server was an angel the entire time, the food was amazing! We ordered the soft cheese appetizer, flaming chorizo among others and every bite was perfect. When we got our entrees, mine being the Mariscada, the owners of the restaurant came out to make sure everything was up to par which I really appreciated. I enjoyed every last bite of my dinner. My husband got a chocolate bonbon and a song for his birthday. Overall I will continue to tell all my friends to visit and we will definitely be back! You can tell the staff are happy here and the owners care.

Yelp
My family has taken me here for the last 4 years on my birthday. I have to eat gluten free and there are so many options here, all delicious. And of course, everyone else in my family loves Batuqui too. Great servers and great atmosphere too!

Yelp
My husband and I had the perfect ten year anniversary dinner here. We love Latin food and this place was really good. The service was really good and the food was great. We also loved the Brazilian food and drinks.

Yelp
I'm a tad confused by the reviews as this place was just ok. Service was good, but the food was just marginal, and extremely expensive for what it is. I live in Miami so I'm used to expensive restaurants but at least the food is commensurate with the body. To start, I ordered Caymus by the glass and by no means was it a fresh bottle. When I requested a 2nd glass it tasted vastly different than whatever they originally served me. It also came in a glass that was dirty on the outside. At that point, I just dealt with it. The ribeye was very thin and super fatty. The picanha acebolada (traditional Brazilian cut of tri tip sirloin) was beyond difficult to eat - very tough. Below average quality meats with a premium price. The beans were good that accompanied. Not sure I would come back - but if we do we won't be ordering steaks.

Yelp
Foods terrific service is great ambience can't be beat. unlike other twin Falls, restaurants parking is immediately adjacent and is part of the step north building complex. The owners are hands-on in the staff as well trained and very attentive.

Yelp
Everything went well! Second review for me in years and it is still great. Sat in the garden once and they come out frequently just to get fresh herbs and spices. The Brazilian steak was great as was the Brazilian Rum. If you've never tried a Cachaca, it may become your go to drink.

Yelp
Batuqui offers a charming and intimate dining experience, with its interior adorned with candles and fresh flowers that create a warm and inviting atmosphere. I ordered the Pasta de Mariscos, a seafood pasta dish. For the price, the portion of seafood was generous, and the sauce was amazing--creamy yet not heavy. Notably, many other tables around us were enjoying the barbecue, which looked and smelled delicious. I look forward to trying it on my next visit.

Yelp
This original restaurant location always impresses me and any guests! It's intimate and, even during restaurant week, their attention to service was intact. I'd recommend this spot for any celebration or to explore Brazilian cuisine. Having been here 20+ times, this place has consistently good food and service.

Yelp
The restaurant is beautiful with very comfortable seating that is a mixture of couches, benches & chairs. The service was great even though the waitress did admit that she was working both sides of the restaurant (the Columbine & pizza). The did a great job dealing with both parts. My salad with chicken was good as was our son's steak but my husband's steak was not as good because he chose medium well vs medium. The chimichurri was good and they could have used more of it. The desserts are huge so get one to share. I wish they sold coffee too!

Yelp
I'm Brazilian, and this felt like Brazil. The food was excellent. My American boyfriend liked it too. The place is in a home which depicts the Brazilian culture so well. All the people that worked there seem to speak Portuguese which was so fun. But my order had little flowers in it. Which was the cutest touch. I love how quick it was and warm it was when we picked up. I will definitely go back for a sit down meal soon!

Yelp
I rarely give 5 stars out but there wasn't a single complaint I have of this place. The location and interior was very homely and reminded me of those old neighborhood, classic restaurants in places like Georgetown in D.C. The service was incredible, everyone was so respectful and treated us like queens! I felt very special, they were incredibly kind and thorough. As for the food? I don't know how to describe it...probably the best food I've had in Cleveland! In addition to the appealing presentation, everything tasted like an elevated home cooked meal. I finished everything on my plate and was scraping the bowl to finish off the tiny grains of rice and sauce left. I highly recommend the Moqueca Baiana wish fish (I tried a bite of my friend's Pudim de Leite dessert and let me tell you, I exported into a portal of heavenly custard lol. It blew me away how smooth, rich and creamy the texture and flavor was)

Yelp
I came to Batuqui for the first time this past weekend to celebrate a friend's homecoming, and I can't wait to come back. I'm don't have a ton of experience eating Brazilian food but my impression is that this is an excellent restaurant that serves high quality food. Most of the things my party ordered we shared. For appetizers we got the pao de queijo (I could eat a million of these), calamari samba (loved that it wasn't fried calamari, loved the creamy tomato sauce), and frango passarinho (chicken was just regular fried diced chicken but the cilantro-lime sauce was great). For entrees I shared the basically famous steak that comes on a hook with garlic sauce and the moqueca baiana with fish. I didn't really care for the presentation of the steak but couldn't deny that the meat was delicious and perfectly cooked. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the moqueca baiana because I often think coconut milk dishes are overpowering and not my taste, but I really enjoyed the flavor combinations and the fish paired super well in the stew. We got 2 pieces of the coconut butter cake to finish off our meal and they were eaten so fast I could barely get photos. One of our cakes was warmer than the other (we think because of the differing amount of glaze?) but both had great flavor. Some of my only qualms with Batuqui: (1) the prices - this was a splurge meal for sure. (2) we were seated in an outside moderately heated tent which is fine except we swore we booked an indoor table. Regardless, I understand now why it can be so challenging to get a reservation. I probably won't come back super often given how much of an experience it is, but I definitely hope to come back soon!

Yelp
What a delightful experience! We were in Cleveland for the weekend, and we're interested in trying a restaurants we hadn't already visited. After a quick Yelp search, we noticed that there was a Brazilian restaurant nearby. As a group who enjoyed Brazil many times in the past, we felt it would be a great opportunity to experience a new and tasty restaurant. I am very pleased to report that this experience was excellent! The staff were delightful, and were very attentive to our parties needs. We decided to mostly do appetizers in order to try out the plethora of options. We were tempted by several entrées, but just felt that we would all end up with too much food! (The feijoada and muqueca really look delicious, when we looked at the plates coming out from the kitchen to tables nearby. Their "premium" caipirinhas or exactly that - a perfect expression of a classic Brazilian cocktail. My wife especially enjoyed the passionfruit caipirinha. I also liked that they had Brazilian beer options, because I really enjoy them. The food was exceptional, and was served at the proper temperature and texture. The kitchen works very hard to deliver an amazing experience, and believe me this place is worth every penny. Their "torresmo & mandioca" appetizer was our favorite of the night, but all of them were absolutely delicious! The establishment clearly has a lot going for it - I will say that if you live in this area, you should absolutely try this place because it is fantastic! We most definitely shall return! OBRIGADO, GENTE!!

Yelp
My experience at Batuqui was wonderful. I attended the Larchmere Porchfest 2025 alone since my friend was not feeling well. I decided to treat myself to dinner at Batuqui. Since I was alone, I opted to eat at the bar. I was greeted by Graham and served a glass of wine while I looked at the menu. I sat and watched two amazing employees serving behind the bar. Lily and Graham were incredible, like poetry in motion. They were professional, efficient, courteous and worked very well together. Lily seemed to be in charge and Graham assisted seamlessly. Because it was Porchfest, they were getting slammed. I marveled at how they kept everything flowing and worked so well together. I ordered the Plato Misto and it was delicious. My entire experience was fantastic. I will be returning soon. Lily and Graham deserve a raise!

Yelp
A pretty random place for a Brazilian restaurant, but still a nice, intimate setting. Came here for the moqueca and was not disappointed. Food here is amazing and am definitely coming back.

Yelp
Batuqui is an incredible Brazilian restaurant in Larchmere. I've been here twice, once with one other, and another time with a large party for a birthday. We shared many dishes family style, which was definitely the move. The Moqueca Baiana is a standout and so savory and delicious. I've had it both with fish and shrimp, and they're both great. The Xim Xim is also a classic Brazilian stew and it was also yummy, though a little too sweet for my personal tastes. The Diablo mussels were a special when I went, and they were so incredible and savory. The level of spice is moderate, and we all wanted to soak up the sauce with the bread! The churrasco gaucho was DELICIOUS. So savory and tender, though it has a heftier price tag. The sides that came with it weren't notable. The picanha salteada is a more affordable way of trying a smaller portion of the steak, and I would highly recommend! The service was great: really fast and able to accommodate our large group. We were seated outside in the heated patio area. There were some allergies in our food group and they were able to accommodate without an issue. Definitely recommend checking out Batuqui!

Yelp
I ate here last year with a group of students from South America. They helped me navigate the menu and made recommendations. I had the moqueca baiana with fish and an octopus appetizer, both were delicious! The moqueca was rich and creamy from the coconut milk and the fish was perfectly cooked and infused with the delicious flavors of the broth. Can't recommend enough. The octopus was cooked with garlic butter and a probably the most tender octopus I've had. 5 stars. The caipirinha was also delicious. Treat yourself to the flavors of Brazil in Cleveland.

Yelp
Really good food and really good service. Lily and Claire are among my favorites. The seafood dish I had was very tasty.

Yelp
Batuqui is an absolute gem in Larchmere and is a must go for an incredible meal and cocktails! Set in an old house you feel right at home upon entering Batuqui. The service is a+ with extremely attentive wait staff and assistants I've been here many times and the entrees are always incredible, which is a rare comment for restaurants in general. However last night we decided to do a lot of appetizers, and that's what I am going to review here. I believe it's called tennemos but it's an appetizer item that is fried pork belly and yuca fries, absolutely 10/10 best bite of the meal. This is the bite that has me coming back. Every bite was great but this was special, crunchy crispy tasty incredible! We also got the grilled octopus which was cooked perfectly and came in a really nice presentation with the fried potatoes. The Mina's cheese was super cool. We cut it into strips and it held firm sort of like a feta but tastier. Comes with honey and herbs which was a really tasty coating on the cheese. Diablo mussels were great and the spicy tomato onion broth was awesome. Only complaint was the serving dish made it hard to get into the broth until the end, it was great but I was pretty full by that point! Finally we got the Salgadinhos shrimp beef and chicken fried Brazilian bar snacks. Very good and filling. The shrimp were sort of like jalapeño poppers, beef were empanadas and very tasty and the chicken was a bit spicy almost like a buffalo chicken bite. Ambiance is awesome and relaxing. Set in an old House everything feels homemade including the cocktails. Each cocktail is truly hand crafted and extremely flavorful. I'm not a big drinker but getting a cocktail at batuqui is a must! Overall: 9.5/10 Service: 10/10 Food: 9.5/10 Ambiance: 9/10

Yelp
Dined here on a weekday night during Cleveland's spring Restaurant Week and had a nice time! I made a reservation for our group of four a few days in advance (on OpenTable). Located in a residential house set back just a bit from the main road, this Batuqui location is super cozy. I appreciated the immersion into the Brazilian culture with the music and array of artwork on the walls. We ordered some drinks to start and then the 3 course restaurant week menu. I had the Minas Cheese, Moqueca Baiana, and the Passionfruit Mousse, which were all very flavorful and memorable! I especially enjoyed the Moqueca Baiana, which had lots of fresh fish and a slight richness from the coconut. Overall, we had a nice, intimate evening at Batuqui. The atmosphere and cuisine felt authentic, and the staff very attentive and friendly. It's a great option for cozy date night or gathering with a small group friends!

Yelp
Highly recommend! This is one of my favorite restaurants in Cleveland!! Cocktails: - Premium Caipirinha: this is absolutely delicious. I always get this. It is strong drink. Quite flavorful. Food: - Moqueca Baiana: yummmm. This is my go to dish. The coconut stew is like a warm hug on a cold day. I usually get it with fish. - Pao De Queijo: this was good. I still prefer the ones at Fugo de chao. - Feijoada: this was good. Though I enjoy the moqueca baiana much more. Dessert: - Coconut butter cake: o.m.g. this dessert is freaking fabulous. It just melts in your mouth. It was rich. Divine. An absolute treat. - Passion Fruit Cocada: this was more the sweeter side than coconut butter cake. If you enjoy coconut macaroons, you will enjoy this. Ambiance: I felt very relaxed and could totally imagine this restaurant somewhere tropical on a beach, warm weather. Service: Very good. Attentive and knowledgeable servers.

Yelp
Placed outside in cold, rain, on New Years on Wife's Birthday! Chairs were cold and hard, you could feel the cold air. Not what I expected at all. Nothing about the experience outside seemed remotely similar to being inside. Was told I did not select indoor or outdoor seating but did not believe this would be of concern considering it's December. Also never saw this option when reserving. Bar was offered but not ok considering how close it was to the front door. Constant foot traffic back and forth. Not an ideal seating arrangement for any occasion. Did not try food. My review is based purely on Ambiance and accommodations but I don't believe I will return.

Yelp
This upscale Brazilian restaurant has some absolutely phenomenal food and drink. Both the moqueca and the steak were very delicious. For an appetizer, we had seared minas cheese served with oregano and honey, a great combination! Plus classic caipirinhas and some Brazilian beer. The atmosphere was really great, a cozy and well-decorated space where it's sort of over-determined that you'd describe it as "homey", in that it's clearly an old home. There are porch tables, too, for those times of year when the weather is cooperative. It's surely on the pricier side, especially for the steaks. Though I'd readily believe those are just top dollar for top quality. Definitely worth it in my view!
google avatar

Melissa J.

Yelp
Authentic, full of flavor Brazilian food in the heart of Cleveland's larchmere neighborhood. We opted to sit in the front porch...sure that sounds odd, but when the restaurant is in a house it just works. My husband read the reviews and wanted authentic Brazilian food, having traveled to Brazil a few times for work, and Batuqui did not disappoint. We started with drinks, true flavor and full of lime. Get a pitcher, it's worth it. The menu is huge, bold and a great selection...add the specials and it's a hard choice. I opted to go with a few specials. Starting with appetizers we ordered the shrimp ceviche and fried cheese. The ceviche was so fresh and packed with fresh lime and pineapple juice. Definitely recommend. Next up, I ordered the stuffed sea bass full of lobster and shrimp with an extra side of plantains. I cannot resist plantains, I have to order them everywhere I go. The plantains here are at the top of my list. Finally we ordered the churros stuffed with warm chocolate and vanilla ice cream. Absolutely fabulous. So, if you are looking for authentic, fresh, scratch made Brazilian fare, make a reservation. You might think umm it's just an old house, but it's so much more, plenty of outside space when the weather is nice, a cozy little bar inside with seating fir drinks or to grab appetizers or a full meal. Plenty off street parking, so make a reservation today.

Yelp
A-MAZ-ING!!!! Would give 10 stars if I could. First off shame on me for not knowing about this until now. I used to travel to Brazil for work a few years ago. And the food there is just incredible. Tonight's experience was great. The FLAVOR!!!!! So damn good. The caipirinha's so so so delicious. Will be coming back again and again and again ! If you like Brazilian cuisines or good they hat so much variety of flavor come here. I promise you will not be disappointed !

Yelp
Make your reservations and go now! For me this was a tantalizing experience because I feel that I know a lot about foods, preparation methods, ingredients etc. But Batuqui has dishes and ingredients I have never experienced! The old house vibe is quaint af. It's petite inside, it's almost shocking to first see, it's truly a restaurant within a home. Reminds me of a restaurant I worked in for many years in Pittsburgh, (it was the Atria Family home) I got a coconut cocktail with condensed milk. I got the mariscada which was like a seafood stew and we split a arroz sort of appetizer. It was on the features menu. I want to go back until I have tried everything.

Yelp
Delicious. A friend had her birthday party on the back patio - around 22 people on a perfect night. Everything was yummy. I had a salad and dome greens so not much that I can crit about that. I also had a couple of muscles un red sauce that were perfection! Everyone loved their entrees and a great time was had by all! The back patio is like being in someones lovely and eclectic back yard. So cozy yet funky. The staff was great!
google avatar

Angela T.

Yelp
They forgot to tell me my reservation was outside in a tent (in February Ohio winter lol) so we were definitely thrown off at first but the heaters were huge and they had blankets and it was so cute and cozy so we went with it. The food was absolutely delicious. The Brazilian Cheese bread appetizer was so good we ordered a second. I got Carolina's pasta. The staff were so nice and service was very prompt. We got two desserts one to eat there and one to go because we couldn't decide and I am so glad we did. The Coconut Butter Cake is just yum!! I can't wait to go back and try more dishes.

Yelp
My friend and I came to Batuqui for restaurant week and we're so glad we did! For some background context, certain restaurant's in Cleveland are offering a set pricing for a 3 course meal. For the first course (appetizer), my friend and I got the Torresmo com Mandioca and Minas Cheese. The Torresmo com Mandioca is fried pork belly and yucca fries while Minas Cheese had a more of a bread cheese consistency! Both were delicious. Plus you can never go wrong with cheese and fried pork belly. For the second course (main course), I got the Costela do Norte. This was a short rib dish braised in spices and some sort of sauce that was delicious. It came with mashed potatoes and grilled zucchini! Short ribs were tender and really went well with the mashed potatoes and vegetables. My friend got the Xim Xim which was a Brazilian chicken stew dish over rice. She said it was very flavorful. For our last course (dessert) we were served the Mousse de Maracuja which was a passion fruit mousse. We were pretty full at this point but still wanted to eat dessert so we were glad with the portion size. But I have to say... this mousse might have been the best thing on the course list. It had a good tang from the passion fruit, mousse consistency was between pudding and mousse and wasn't overly sweet. It was a perfect way to end our meal! Service was very quick and our waitress was very friendly also!

Yelp
Amazing! Drive - walk - hitchhike - Uber - just do whatever you have to do to get to and try Batuqi! What an amazing meal we had. We're on vacation from Massachusetts and found this gem!

Yelp
We ate here in April, and since it was a few months ago I can't remember the name of the dishes we ordered but I just remember that everything from the drinks, main dish, and dessert was all incredible and we definitely want to go back. The plantains were especially delicious! It was a chilly night and we were seated outside but were provided with a blanket and heat lamps so it was ok.
google avatar

Leslie S.

Yelp
Pros: Best Pao de queijo I've ever had, so much cheese in the middle!! I went for the Cleveland Restaurant week special that included three courses, my main dish was the vegetarian Moqueca, the coconut milk sauce is to die for!!! The table shared a bottle of wine and enjoyed several appetizers and desserts, everything was delicious. My favorite was the coconut sorbet. Cons: Limited seating. Get a reservation.

Yelp
Fantastic cocktails, food and setting. A must eat in Cleveland. Everything we had was amazing but what was most memorable was the short rib and the fried plantains. The cocktails were delicious, a combination of Brazilian and classics. Service was attentive and the setting is cosy. The restaurant is in a converted home so seating is rather eclectic but they have designed the interior to feel cozy and romantic in many ways. It would be hard to bring a stroller in and I'm not sure whether there is a kids menu but an adventurous eater might be ok. Perfect spot for a date night or small group of close friends. Takes reservations.

Yelp
The food is phenomenal The service was nice The ambiance (outside wedding) was spectacular.

Yelp
Batuqui is a unique dining experience because it's food you won't find at too many other restaurants. The favors of this Brazilian food are incredible. Loved the lime caipirinha and minas cheese to start off with. The fish and shrimp moqueca baiana was fantastic and we finished it off with coconut butter cake. We oohed and aahed over everything! Outstanding service and atmosphere as well. Liked it so much, we are going back for New Years Eve!

Yelp
I visited Batuqui for the first time last week and I had an amazing experience. The food was absolutely delicious. I enjoyed the traditional stew with fish and shrimp, salted caramel espresso martini and the coconut butter cake, I highly recommend everything was superb and great customer service.

Yelp
Be prepared to be outdoors. Don't eat during peak sunset times because umbrellas are inadequate. Struggled with my elderly parents here at sunset. Good is good but not great

Yelp
What a find! We were looking for a steakhouse close to Tower City and decided to venture out and try Batuqui. The intimate atmosphere and spectacular food, service and ambience make this a must-repeat on our next visit to Cleveland. Steak, lamb, and piping hot coalho cheese... I highly recommend this unique place for anyone who loves steak and anything else Brazilian.

Yelp
Tried both stews. Mocquica is on creamier side. Xim xim is more salty. Need to come back for their flan

Yelp
Beautiful decor/aesthetic. Nice quaint bar inside. Great food. Lovely spot. Would definitely go back. The sea bass was incredible!

Yelp
(3.5/5), rounded up. I'm a little torn on this place. The food was delicious and the service seemed friendly enough, but we definitely felt a little judged for our lack of knowledge about the cuisine. I'm also not sure if some of the food was worth the price. Make sure to get a reservation and if you're okay with sitting pretty close with other patrons. It's a cute place in a residential-like neighborhood, it's unassuming from the outside (it's a house), but it's nice inside. Our server told us the chef specials for the day, but I wish she would've told us the price for them. I know we could've asked, but most places would say the price as they tell us the specials so we were a little taken aback. For example, our server recommended the daily chef special- Churrasco Gaucho- Garlic Picanha. It ended up being $42. A similar item on the menu, Churrasco de Picanha was $32, so I presumed it would be decently close if she didn't disclose the price accordingly. Besides from the pricing issues, I thought the food was delicious. + The Churrasco Gaucho- Garlic Picanha ($42) was served on a skewer with garlic butter and the served with rice, pinto beans, farofa & tomato relish. The tri-tip sirloin was definitely grilled to perfection, a perfect medium rare like I asked for. You get a decently sized three pieces. $42 +/- We also got the flaming chorizo as an appetizer ($12), also another daily chef's special. It was pretty good, not too salty, but not sure if it was worth $12 honestly. $12 + My friend got the Picanha Acebolada, which was really good as well. He said he thought his tri-tip wasn't as good as ours, in terms of tenderness. $32 For dessert, we got Brigadeiros-bon bons- these were just okay, wouldn't order again. $6 Pudim de Leite (GF) Brazilian Style Caramel Custard-very similar to flan, pretty good, but very rich. Definitely shareable size. $6 Petite Gateau Warm Chocolate Cake w/ Vanilla Ice Cream-favorite dessert of the three we ordered. Can't go wrong with classic warm chocolate cake and ice cream. $10 Overall, we would go back, but pick and choose what you order. Some of the food is worth, some not so much. Regardless, it's definitely worth a try at least once!

Yelp
Always phenomenal food, very attentive servers and great ambiance. Each time I go, I try a new dish and haven't been disappointed yet.

Yelp
Some food on the menu is worth the price. Some food on the menu are not. The food isn't bad at all, but space is incredibly tight inside the restaurant because it's a repurposed house. You're not safe from COVID here unless you sit outside in freezing cold Cleveland winter weather. I had the xim xim, brazilian cheese bread, and a salmon special. The xim xim is hella rich. Avoid if you get nausea from eating super rich foods. The xim xim is perfect for the winter weather though. The dish had roasted peanuts, chicken, and rice. The brazilian cheese bread was good... Just too pricey for what you get. $9 for 4 pieces of bread almost feels like a rip-off. The inside of the restaurant is cramped. No way all those customers were sitting at least six feet apart like the CDC recommended. Customers were sitting at the bar next to each other. Large Parties were seated close quarters with other large parties. Even the seating area under the heated tent was crowded. Would not recommend coming to Bataqui if you're a part of the population that cannot afford to get sick with COVID.

Yelp
Loved it!! Service (thank you Nicole!), drinks and food, all on point! Plus, the outdoor tent seating in the garden area was great! ...but be sure to visit the inside of this gem!

Yelp
The food, service, and atmosphere were fantastic! I had the Sea Bass which was amazing, but I couldn't stop eating the rice. Definitely recommend the Pao De Queijo (Brazilian Cheese Bread) & Trio Pastel (similar to empanadas). Don't forget to start off with a Caipirinha!

Yelp
This place was out of this world! They close at 9 but we got there at 8 and had plenty of time for dinner and two rounds of drinks. This place is in a house. You walk in to the cramped bar and turn right to squeeze between seated bar patron and wall where the main dining room holds 5 or so tables. It was incredibly cozy and with the personable caring service we felt like we were invited to dine in someone's home. The rio-tini cocktail is huge and was delicious. The bartender was able to deftly substitute simple syrup and less passion fruit juice for Stevia and the drink came out still very sweet but absolutely delicious! The manager or owner I believe is the person who took my second drink order for a caipirinha and also skillfully made sure it had no real sugar added with a substitute sweetener instead. That is great service. The food was expensive yet fantastic and traditional legitimate Braziian fare so worth the cost. My shrimp malagueta was $16 and came with several shrimp in a delicious spicy oily sauce that went really well over the cucumber, hearts of palm slices, and tomato of my palmito salad. The rice vinegar was perfectly applied to the salad- not the usual overly sweet vinaigrette but a nice acid kick to the bowl of greens. The steak picainha was really great too- cooked medium rare and super juicy. We chose the option with a bunch of onions which were nice and caramelized.

Yelp
Everything from service, to drinks, and of course the meal, is top notch delicious!!! The Sea Bass with Passionfruit and the hearts of palm risotto is probably the best meal I've ever had in my entire life!!! Their Cabernet by the glass is delicious, as is their cocktails. The Coconut butter cake dessert and the Passionfruit mousse are slutty and delectable! The heated tent was a bit drafty, so dress warm if you know you're eating there, or try to get your reservations ahead of time so you can be in the cozy house!!!

Yelp
Love this spot! As other have mentioned, it's an intimate spot in an old residential house. The interior is super cozy with a cute bar, fireplace, and just a few tables (maybe around 10?). Be sure to get a reservation, they are on open table which is awesome. Great for a date night. We started with some delicious cocktails (the mojito was my personal fav) and 2 apps: the seasonal steak with cheese and the linguica with fritas. Both were really really good. For dinner, we split the moqueca baiana with shrimp which was also good. The apps honestly kind of stole the show. For dessert, we had the chocolate churros and the passion fruit cocada. Both were good but the churros were amazing! Will be back for sure.
