Just peachy! Fun and interesting. Loved riding to and from the groves on a tractor-pulled tram. Picturesque, gently-rolling MD countryside views are abundant on this 100+ year-old, 600 acre family farm. Great for kids with multiple playground areas and a very cool petting zoo. Nice farm store filled to bursting with produce, plants, unique groceries, jams, and items galore! Nice clean facilities. Helpful, friendly staff. Highly recommended!

I find it difficult to enjoy a place that literally charges you to do their work for them, but Baugher's has for two years in a row impressed me. It has become an annual pilgrimage of ours to drive out to Maryland to go strawberry picking in the spring. The first year that we did it, we literally didn't even make it through a whole row of strawberries before filling our baskets (and our stomachs) on some of the best strawberries we've ever tasted. This year, we weren't quite as lucky. We went at the beginning of June and while there were still strawberries on the vine, most of them were starting to rot. We were still able to grab as many as we could carry, it just took us a little longer than the first year. The strawberries have always been absolutely delicious. Baugher's is a bit off the beaten path. It's about two hours away from our home in Northern Virginia, so it's a hike to get out there. That said, the distance traveled means that you have way less people competing for your precious berries. I don't know if you've ever looked for Christmas trees around Northern Virginia, but if you have, you know that getting away from the crowds is a good thing. When we went, it was pretty busy and we had to wait in a bit of a line to get our passes and baskets and again for the tractor to take us out to the strawberry fields. However, once we got out there, you could basically take your pick of a row of strawberries and not worry about running across other people, which was nice. The prices are pretty reasonable considering that you're literally paying to pick your own food. We paid $11 for a basket and $4 (I think) for passes. Both of our daughters are under three, so they got in for free. A common complaint is that they don't let you bring in your own baskets or bags, but that's pretty understandable to me. All the staff is pretty nice and very hands off. They give you some instructions when you get the the field, but otherwise they let you wander and scavenge on your own. They're also pretty good about letting you eat while you pick. I've seen places that scold and threaten folks who eat while they're filling up their baskets and Baugher's does none of that, which is really refreshing. All in all, this will continue to be a haunt for our family. We may even end up coming back for other fruits during the year.

I can't give Baugher's 5 stars due to them not allowing bags (of reasonable need and size) in their orchards, their prices (could be a tad bit lower), they charge 2 separate prices for apple and pumpkin picking, and $0.50 to get feed out of the machines to feed the animals to $0.25 too much. If you can buy a bag of animal feed for $1.00 at the market. Why not offer that option down by the animals? That's poor marketing and not good for business. Other than those 4 factors, Baugher's is worth the 90-minute drive for me and the family. The hilly areas make for good exercise and beautiful photo ops. The market has more than enough to offer. My wife has to give me a LOOK (telling me to watch the spending) when we go into the market. 🤣🤣 The food trucks are a hit. Although, dont overdue it. Especially the stand with the pit beef and pit ham and fries - YUMMY!! Baugher's is a great place to go with the family. There's lots to do and see. You're going to spend a little bit of money. But overall, it's worth it. As someone who grew up on a family farm (Shady Brook in Yardley, PA), I appreciate what Baugher's is doing and what the farm offers.

We were in the area for a car show this morning and decided to stop by Baugher's Orchards & Farm on a whim... ...and so glad we did! First, the market smells incredible, like sweet apple scent (makes sense since there are apples everywhere). There is a large variety of jams, pies, sauces, spices, fruit/veggies, fudge/candy and drinks available - even the pickiest person can find something to enjoy. We purchased 6 Joe Teas (try the mango tea, it's fantastic), a blackberry pie, red velvet roll, two bags of chips, a Cheerwine, Vidalia onion ranch dressing and apple cinnamon pancake mix for about $55 (10% off for Veterans today). Considering this is a local business and market, the prices were very fair! I want to remark on the staff as well. We had three checkouts (kept going back for more!) and the blonde young man who served us was SO nice. He even gave my boyfriend a free donut since he's a Marine veteran. He was polite and easy to engage with. We both remarked on how nice the Baugher's team members were and I hope management is proud! We then stopped at the petting zoo and enjoyed the animals. I'd recommend parking at the market and enjoying the short walk to the zoo, it's not far and parking spots were limited by the zoo. The animals are precious and well fed. If you plan to hit the zoo, buy a few apples to share with the animals, they'll love you forever. The petting zoo was free but donations are appreciated. Overall we had a wonderful Fall afternoon at the market and petting zoo. We will definitely be back. Thank you to all at Baugher's!

Stumbled on this place while visiting Westminster. So happy we did…loved the market, the flowers and plants, but most of all loved the restaurant. Wow…delicious comfort food at great prices. And the service was fantastic. Thanks Caroline…you were great and so, so sweet!

Absolutely love going to Baugher's for fresh local fruit! Pick your own is so much fun! 3 and under are free. You can purchase tickets online for a cheaper price vs buying at the orchard. They have a petting zoo and playground for kids. Beautiful rolling hills in the county side make the perfect background for photos! Love the market, just wish it was bigger and had more to offer. Ps - you can buy a bag of animal feed for the petting zoo at the Market for $1. Otherwise, they have quarter machines at the petting zoo.

Great outing for the kids. My daughter didn't want to leave. I had to drag her to the car. We picked peaches and black berries while we were there. The orchard has a list of fruits by the month that in season on their website and by the front entrance. We took wagon ride to each location, which made the adventure intriguing. There is also a petting zoo. We were able to get up close and interact with a variety of farm animals while we fed them. My daughter got a kickbour of it. Watch out!!! The main attraction, though, for the kids is the zinc tunnel slide 🛝 located behind the market and down the little hill by the second playground. Bring change of clothes for the kids you are going to need it, trust me on this !! Overall, we had a wonderful time. I'm definitely taking me kids there again!!

Been going here for years during the spring and fall. Family oriented and lots of fun. Prices are generally reasonable although the store has evolved into a overpriced gift shop for some items.
