Bavaria - Review - Palm Beach - Aruba - The Infatuation

"With more than 100 nationalities represented across the island, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Aruba’s international dining scene is so diverse. Enter Bavaria: a casual German strip mall staple in Palm Beach. It might not look like much from the outside, but inside you’ll find some of the crispiest schnitzel, fall-apart tender sauerbraten, and a stacked list of European draughts and crispy German wines for when you simply can’t look at another piña colada. The dining room is always filled with repeat diners, and for good reason. Though you may not expect to find some of the best sauerkraut and spaetzle of your life on a tropical vacation, Aruba is full of surprises." - Jacqueline Dole

Amazing experience! The service was fantastic, our waiter was friendly and we could’ve sat there for hours talking to him. If you like authentic German food this place is definitely a no-brainer. Definitely one of the best meals I’ve had in a while.

I come from a very German Dutch part of Pennsylvania - so I know good German food when I taste it. Excellent tasting food. Well done. I will be back.

We had an amazing experience at Bavaria restaurant in Aruba! The home-like atmosphere instantly made us feel welcome, and the authentic German vibe was spot on. The beer selection was fantastic—we especially loved that they offered a 0% alcohol Weiss beer, which was delicious and refreshing. The food was excellent, perfectly prepared, and full of flavor. I had the Bavaria Weisswurst sausages with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut, and they were just like back in Munich—absolutely spot-on! If you’re looking for a cozy spot with great drinks and authentic German cuisine, this place is a must-visit! Highly recommend!

We loved our dinner here! The food and the beer were delicious and authentic. The owner was very friendly, making beer recommendations and chatting about our travels. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also charming with lots of Bavarian decorations. We recommend it!

Great German food. Sourbraten, red cabbage and spaetzel were very tasty. Quiet place, quick service. Get the pretzel app - you will not be disappointed.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My son and I were greeted promptly by the owner!! We had an excellent experience!! If I could give Bavaria German Restaurant more than 10 stars, I absolutely would! This was hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Aruba. From the moment we walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. The food? Absolutely outstanding! We ordered an incredible spread—assorted sausages, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, potato pancakes with sour cream and apple sauce, sauerbraten, spätzle, and red cabbage—and every bite was perfection. The sausages were flavorful and perfectly cooked, the sauerbraten was tender and rich, and the homemade spätzle was the perfect complement. The potato pancakes were crispy on the outside and soft inside, and pairing them with apple sauce was a game changer. On top of the amazing food, the service was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and full of great recommendations. Bavaria is a must-visit for anyone in Aruba looking for authentic German cuisine with top-notch hospitality. We will absolutely be back!

What an amazing discovery! Most restaurants on the island are fairly similar but Bavaria is totally unique. Entering the restaurant is almost like stepping into a small biergarten complete with an excellent selection of full size authentic German beer, pretzels, and hardy dinner dishes. The potato pancakes were the best I've ever had, my children absolutely loved their schnitzel, and my stroganoff with spaetzel was heartwarming and delicious. Truly a wonderful and very filling dinner experience with very reasonable prices. The owner was very friendly and obviously proud of his restaurant. This will be on our list of "must go" restaurants every year for sure!
