10 Local-Favorite Bars and Restaurants Around Nashville | Eater

"When the founders of Bavarian Bierhaus returned from years of military deployment in Southern Germany, they missed the bierhall culture they had enjoyed during their time abroad. They set about recreating an authentic Munich vibe by building a cavernous dining space inside of the Opry Mills shopping center. Today, the biergarten can seat 500 patrons indoors and 120 outside. Offering a wide range of imported German beers on draft — ranging from a half-liter to a shareable three-liter tower along with bottled beers, German wines, cocktails, and soft drinks like Pepsi, Bavarian Bierhaus is a tippler’s paradise. The food menu is appropriately heavy with German pretzels, schnitzels, and sausages." - Chris Chamberlain

We went during lunch on a Wednesday. They were very empty. Our waitress was very nice. We lived in Germany for 3 years and was impressed with the German food we had. It was good to find/have some German beer we couldn't find in stores. My only complaint is the food prices. There is no reason 2 sausages and a pretzel should cost $23 and one sausage on a roll with a side of fries was $20. I don't know if we would return for that reason alone.

This was worth the stop. This restaurant located at the mall was definitely worth stopping. The beer was cold and refreshing, the atmosphere was great and service was good. We ordered the giant pretzel with beer cheese. Both on point and the vegetarian sausage, I know but still delicious. We ordered the only dark German beer on the menu and it was delicious. We happened to stop in while there was live music as well. A couple who played an eclectic number of instruments. Be sure to stop in if you are in the area. The beer hall style of seating could have you making new friends.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A True Taste of Bavaria in Nashville! We had such an incredible experience at Bavarian Bierhaus! The service was exceptional from the moment we walked in—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable staff who made us feel truly welcomed. The beer selection is outstanding. I really enjoy a quality draft beer, especially when it's imported, and they absolutely know what they’re doing here. Every sip was perfect. As for the food—wow. We tried the goulash, sausages, pork shank, and the giant pretzel, and everything was absolutely delicious. Hearty, flavorful, and made with clear attention to tradition and quality. We thoroughly enjoyed everything and will definitely be back. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great food, great beer, and an authentic German experience right in Nashville! 🍺🥨🇩🇪

Google
Fun atmosphere, but food and drink are pretty pricey, especially for a suburban mall location. The space is very well done and our server was great, but the lack of paper menus really detracts from the authentic feel the owners are going for. At this price point, you should provide paper menus without asking. Flavors were mostly on point, but portions were small for the price. Dim lighting until bright lights were turned on promptly at closing time like a bar, which might be more understandable if closing time weren’t so early. Not very representative of German hospitality in my experience. Several food items in the shop area were past their expiration date. German food and restaurants are rare in the area, so while the novelty is fun, the overall experience and value just don’t quite hit the mark.

Had Octoberfest 1L beer and a giant pretzel for starters. The Saurbraten, red cabbage and spaetzle was great. Menu selection is versatile without being overwhelmed with too many choices. Meredith was our bartender and server. She was very attentive and efficient and fun to talk with. She also made sure my son had some black forest cake for his birthday which was excellent. Great experience. Highly recommend. We will be back.

Google
Good not great experience. Food was good. Service was friendly but not great. Lady kept dropping stuff all over the place and then just left them on the ground by our legs(dirty utensils). The concept of this place is pretty cool. Liked the decorations. Vibe and at atmosphere was meh. I would come back.

Google
Food was good and had great service. I had Hungarian Brat and Wife had Goulash and we had a pretzel. All were good. Only issue is price is higher than I'd like to spend for these items which is why I rated it 4 out of five

Walking into the Bavarian Bierhaus instantly transported me back to my years living in Düsseldorf (2002–2007). It’s rare to find a place in the U.S. that so authentically captures the spirit of Germany, but this spot nails it. From the authentic marketplace with real German snacks, goodies, and knickknacks, to the signage with classic German phrases, the long wooden picnic tables, the traditional server outfits, and of course the legendary beers, every detail feels spot-on. The entire atmosphere carries that festive Bavarian energy that makes you want to stay all night. The food was outstanding. I had the currywurst—the sausage and fries were cooked to perfection, exactly how I remember it in Germany. We shared some Kartoffelpuffer (potato pancakes) at the table, and they were deliciously crispy and comforting. Lauren ordered the chicken schnitzel, and it was equally fantastic—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and full of flavor. But the highlight for me? I had my first bite since high school of Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte (Black Forest Cake). One bite and I was transported right back to Germany—layers of chocolate, cream, cherries, and nostalgia all in one. Absolutely unforgettable. Bavarian Bierhaus doesn’t just serve German food and beer—it recreates the experience of Germany. For anyone who loves authentic culture, cuisine, and a true taste of Bavaria, this is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back, and I’ll be bringing friends with me. Prost! 🍻

Yelp
For what it is, it done good. It's a masssssive building in a big mall, and a place to eat before the Opry-- how we landed there. Two older men signing Sweet Caroline on two guitars, mellow yellow, but someone had to sing out, so we did. And then the rest did. Boisterous waitresses in Nashvillesque-dirdnls who show no sign of dismay at serving a mostly empty pre-Opry spare dinner 'crowd.' Enthusiasm appreciated. Beer choices-- excellent German selection Little lockers for your favorite stein, Oy. Food? Solid enough. I don't know that i'll be back, but it's super... and super-easy spot for a pre-Opry meal. We had fun. Know what you're gonna get, set the bar right, kitschy with good beer, and you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Not often do I say to skip something - skip this. While I'm not sure what else is nearby, it must be better than this disgusting "German" food that was served. Positives: The decor is cute, the restaurant is spacious, and the server team was lovely. They took time to discuss allergies, offer ideas for our large table, and were continuously refilling the beverages. Not positives: The food is utterly gross. The large pretzel was tolerable and the German potato salad was edible. Neither were good - but able to be eaten. The chicken and the "gravy" were terribly disgusting. No joke, skip it.

Yelp
Definitely more of a tourist attraction. I had the vegetarian Mac n cheese and it was below average. It didn't have much flavor & was very greasy. My had the Rueben. He said it was okay but the mix of flavors was off. I had the red blend wine which was okay and he had an NA beer which was a little sweet. The space is large to host birthday parties. It is probably fun at night when they have live music. We were seated immediately and the place was empty. The hostess was very friendly.

Yelp
BEER: To cut to the chase, it's the price. I enjoy a good beer but $20 for 1-liter is insanity for something that doesn't taste all that interesting. They offer 2Ls but I can't imagine how expensive that is. FOOD: Appetizer- Rueben spring rolls had hardly any corned beef. The Swiss was there but other than that it's a hollow shell of dense wrapping. Thousand island dressing was ok. Spaetzle- horrid, looks like scrambled eggs tossed in flour. It's should never be this bright yellow, eggy pieces. Gravy/beer cheese- it tastes like straight beer with some salt; overwhelming on the schnitzel. Schnitzel- it's suppose to be a thinly pounded cut of pork with a light breading. It was the total opposite, thick pork may be good for the customer but it's not suppose to be a slab of swine that's heavy on the stomach when you need to finish your cafeteria mashed potatoes. Mashed potatoes- I had better in the food hall in university. Seems like frozen and microwaved (probably is). Potato salad: German potato salad is served hot, not cold. SERVER: He has nothing to do with the food or pricing and is attentive and always asked if we had questions. I wasn't going to question him on the food and beer quality and price. He just needed to work and get a paycheck, we tipped him well. OVERALL: As a traveler this was a gut punch to the wallet. We expected our total after our (appetizer, main courses with chosen sides, and 1-liter and 0.5 liter beers) to cost us around $85. It was $102, before tip. What is the best German restaurant I recommend: If you are traveling and happen to stop by Hot Springs, AR. Visit Steinhaus Keller, a true, authentic German restaurant that does justice to Germans. (It's more affordable too even if you get your sips.)

Yelp
The food was delicious. It reminded me of my time in Germany. The service was excellent. Madeline was cheerful and professional. The decor and ambiance reminded me of the good times I had back then.

Yelp
While our family loves going here, I fear the only good thing is usually the soft pretzel and beer cheese. The servers are friendly and the atmosphere is always fun (especially during the holidays and live music nights), but the rest of the food is just mid (as the youths say). The beer selection is always good but things seems a bit overpriced.

Yelp
Was working in Nashville nearby and decided have dinner and drinks here. Good selection of beer. A very tasty soft pretzels. I had pork schnitzel and sides which were also good.

Yelp
My daughter and I stopped and ate there on Monday around 6pm. I've lived in Germany 3 times and my daughter lived there for 9 years and have returned a couple of times. So we crave good German Food every now and then. We ordered a schnitzel dinner, schnitzel sandwich, small pretzel and I had a large beer. Food was hot but mine was over cooked and my daughter sandwich said with cheese. It was liquid cheese and made the sandwich impossible to eat. Sides were ok but small. Poor server had a private group in the back but did her best. When we received the meal to was over $80 and when I tipped it was almost $100. So basically $50 each. A couple of years ago, I would have paid that for 3 of us with deserts. Also the menu has changed to take care of the tourists. Example Schnitzel and waffles or Nashville Hot Schnitzel. We just came back from Germany in November. So this was a surprise to pay this much for a meal in Germany that would have been under $50. If you want overpriced food that taste average with a nice concept than this is the place!
google avatar

Chloe T.

Yelp
The food was just ok, and way overpriced. The server was nice. If you want to eat here with kids in high chairs know that most of the tables are communal shared booths and not convenient for littles

Jeff K.

Yelp
Overall food was good but the sauerkraut was dry. Air conditioning was broken in the main hall and it was hot. The party room was empty and had working ac but they wouldn't allow us to sit there. Way to treat paying guests.

Yelp
Too expensive! The place was empty for dinner in a weeknight. Bartender was friendly and good. The pretzel ($13.88) was hard and not good. You can get better frozen ones from Walmart. Better yet, Wetzels Pretzels! Beer was ok, not too cold. Half liter (basically 16 oz) was $12.60 and the grapefruit beer was $11.80! Total for 2 beers and a lousy pretzel = $49.48!! Including tip. Outrageous for a mediocre visit.

David F.

Yelp
Came in to have a bite. Sat at the bar. Watched the bartender stop serving to go pet a dog. She returned and never washed her hands before handling drinks and food for customers.... Yuck......we left......davidson county health inspector would not approve and neither does my family.....

Yelp
I used to go there all the time. I was so hyped when it first opened. Like many other places prices are out of control. What made me not go back is I ordered the Munich white wurst which by default should come with mustard. They didn't give me any so I asked for mustard. They asked if I wanted one or two types. I said why not I'll take two after it was left off. I was charged like $1.50 per side of mustard. I won't be back after that. I've probably been 20 times but things like that are a no go.

Yelp
The service was amazing!! Chris was attentive and made some great suggestions for our first time. Corey was great too. We had a flight, some salmon, a cheeseburger, and I had a vegetarian Mac with Beyond brats. I love the family style seating. If you don't like sitting with strangers, don't go ruining the vibe (order to go). The bar was hopping and there were cards in the table, so we played with 'em. I would definition here again because the live entertainment was just getting started. But don't sleep in the regular playlist! This is a good spot for the fam, hanging out, or a day with the boo. The uniforms are cute too.

Yelp
Had Opry show tickets and were in a hurry for dinner after stopping at 3 different restaurants that were severely understaffed. At Bavarian, they seated us quickly and we were waited on immediately, plus our waitress checked back with us again quickly. When I explained that we were short on time, she saved our evening. The decor and ambiance were spot-on for an Oktoberfest vibe. I enjoyed the Reuben rolls appetizer and hubby loved the beer cheese burger and fries. Both delicious. We shared a beer. We would come back frequently if we lived nearby. Great restaurant!

Yelp
My family and I were visiting Nashville for the week and decided to try the Bavarian Bierhaus. We made a reservation for 6:00 pm and arrived around 5:52 pm. When we arrived the hostess said it would be a 5 minute wait for anyone who came no matter the reservation or not. Then she asked when our reservation was and upon hearing it was for 6:00 she asked us to wait 8 minutes to our time instead of 5 minutes. We asked why the additional time after being told 5 minutes and she did not seem to have an answer. After waiting 15 minutes we went back up to ask about our table and the hostess replied that it was still being prepared and to please be patient. Not a full minute later she screamed our party name when we were 3 feet away. As we were being walked to our table she said "please take our patient guests to their table" After being seated we ordered drinks and our meals. Management gave us a pretzel on the house for our experience with the hostess. We got the pork schnitzel with spaetzle, cucumber salad, German potato salad, and sauerkraut. The spaetzle was way too eggy and the sauerkraut was a little bit pickle-y. The cucumbers and potatoes were good. The schnitzel was teetering on the dry side. For the experience the price was way too high and the service was just alright. I regret to say our experience with the hostess tainted our whole evening unfortunately.

Yelp
I liked it, not as much as a Hoffbrau Haus but it was okay. The snitchzel wasn't top shelf but it was decent, we had an excellent server. It is a touch noisy but then most Bavarian bier halls are.

Yelp
This has become one of my favorite places to visit whenever i'm in Nashville. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is somehow even more incredible. I've always had the nicest servers. I highly recommend trying some of their seasonal draft beers!
google avatar

Holly H.

Yelp
Every time we go, we tried something new, and we fall in love with something new, every time we go. The service is absolutely amazing. And I love their cute little outfits that they wear. I always end up buying something from the gift shop. In the front one day, i'm going to buy one of those cute little outfits. I highly recommend you try different things. There are so many things to try, and you will be impressed with all of them. If you're with a large group, one thing we love to do is order every single appetizer. You will not be disappointed!!

Yelp
Bavarian Bierhouse is a fun place to visit. My husband enjoys German food and I enjoy the live music, so it's a win win for us. The Bavarian onion soup is a bit pricey, but it is absolutely delicious. I would absolutely order it again! The sausages are also very good, although the schnitzel is not the best that I have had. There are lots of options on the menu, and many I would still like to try. BB is a great option for a fun evening of food and entertainment.

Yelp
Authentic German beer hall experience in Nashville. Great selection of German style beers. Furthermore, the food is based on German favorites but I have to say it has been adjusted to American tastes. Some of the sides you will not see at other than German places. The band is lots of fun. Dining is at large community tables. Great for a large group and you may get to meet someone new if they get added to your table. Friendly staff and they keep the food moving. WE oly come here when its an event. Not a place we go for a quiet meal or one that is quick.
google avatar

Candice R.

Yelp
We decided to give this place a try when a movie we wanted to see was sold out. The place is fun looking and the staff have to wear costumes. You are definitely paying tourist prices for beer and German themed food that you CAN get elsewhere. We took a chance and tried something different. I can't recall what it's called and I would probably butcher the spelling anyway. It was flat bread, warmed, with cream cheese, red and green onions, and bacon. DO NOT ORDER IT! When I say , we took a chance, I mean I took a chance by not asking my partner if he was sure he wanted to try it. It was bad enough that we didn't want to order anything else if this was an acceptable option to put on the menu. Plus our waitress seemed agitated we weren't ordering more food or drinking our steins fast enough.

John N.

Yelp
A good atmosphere greets you as you order some pretty decent German fare. Worth your time to try it. You'll very likely be pleased.
google avatar

Patty B.

Yelp
I loved the atmosphere, great for large groups!! The entertainment was sooo good!! The pretzel app was delish! The beer flights also!! Get the sausages for dinner with different mustards!! I don't recommend any of the schnitzel items! The chicken jaegar schnitzel with brown gravy was nasty. It was the gravy that ruined it, out of a jar!! DO NOT get the spatzle, mac n' cheese or sauerkraut. The Caesar salad was good, just ask for dressing on the side. Get your photos taken in the front!!! Great felt hats for kids!!! We didn't have a waiter & and had to find one & he didn't come back very often. I just think a few tweaks in staff & food would help.

Yelp
We came to Nashville and stopped at the bierhaus for lunch I had the fish sandwich with asparagus the fish was perfect flaky on the inside and crispy on the outside. My wife had the schnitzel with mashed potatoes and green beans. The schnitzel and gravy she said was the best she has ever had. I had an Octoberfest beer it was very good. Brandon our waiter was awesome we talk about some of his favorite places to go since we are from St. Louis. The restaurant was a bier hall style ambiance a very nice start to our stay.

Yelp
Skip the lines at the restaurants in front of the mall across the street from the Grand Ole Opry and make your way here. The tables are set up for group dining. Even though it could have seated 8, our party of 4 was seated alone. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. It took a little bit of time to get our drinks but once our order was taken, the food arrived quickly. I got the sausage sampler and it was fantastic. The dipping sauces and sauerkraut which came with it sealed the deal. While we weren't planning to eat here, we were very pleased to have found it. Live music included!
google avatar

Yelp
I wasn't sure what I was getting in to when I asked for a brewery that wasn't far off my route but I was pleased with the destination. The Bavarian Bierhaus is styled like a German beer tent at Oktoberfest with long benches, a stage for the usual oom-pah band and lots of waitresses wearing drindls. A menu of pretzels, sausages, potato salad, and the like. Oh, and beer. I ordered a half liter and spent about an hour here as I had a bunch of emails that couldn't wait until later. I did manage to find one of the only power outlets, which is against the wall near the "beer garden" that is just a deck overlooking the parking lot. Service was friendly, the beer was cold, the wifi worked well, and after a bunch of focused emails out, I was good to go. I need to get back for some spaetzle. [Review 20207 overall - 469 in Tennessee - 1184 of 2023.]

Yelp
Fun, fun, fun atmosphere! We came in for a friend's birthday celebration and had a fantastic time! The band made the environment feel very loud, boisterous, and celebratory which is exactly the vibe we were hoping for. Our server Klinton was amazing! Very friendly and attentive. The beer was all really great. We had the Oktoberfest and the Weihenstefaner. Delicious and refreshing! The food is what we have mixed reviews on. Some of it was good and some dishes were not. For example, I really enjoyed my currywurst but my husband did not like his brats in a blanket at all. The pretzels are a no-brainer. They compliment the beer perfectly.
google avatar

Dan S.

Yelp
The service was good, we had a friendly waiter that knew the food well. But the food was overpriced and awful. There's not much more to say other than I've never had worse German food. The menus are on a tablet that was grimy. I ran to the bathroom to wash my hands after swiping it to see the menu options. If you want to eat in a restaurant before a Grand Ole Opry show, I suggest walking over to the Gaylord and finding something there.
google avatar

Yelp
We expected German cuisine and they certainly delivered an authentic experience! A few bites of the Schweinshaxe and my taste buds were teleported back to Soviet-occupied East Germany, although the Berlin Wall probably had more flavor. What makes this place terrible is how their food is as overcooked as it is overpriced. The lamb was so dry it was crusting without any moisture and nearly impossible to cut through. Not even the powdered gravy mix could save it. The Reuben pastrami was tasteless, dry, and stringy to the point it was like chewing wires. My wife had to slather it with sauce. Only reason why they have 2 stars is because the Bavarian Onion Soup was actually good and the pretzel was edible. I'm just pissed off I spent $100 for a meal for two on their garbage. Never again...

David B.

Yelp
a typical large space, beer hall style restaurant. our server Terry was great. out of the gate... no physical menus... you only have the boring toast app, making the food selection process feel like a transactional cafeteria experience. How could any restaurant pass up the opportunity to wow their clientele with images and prose about awesome food? this one has abandoned that altogether, making us question if we should have left without ordering. did I say Terry was fantastic? :-) we ordered a Reuben sandwich and the pork schnitzel, with cucumber salad, pickle red onions, and coleslaw. And it was EXCELLENT! (the pork schnitzel was overcooked, but everything else was so awesome. The meal was still excellent and we would definitely come back.) In spite of the rough start with no menu to speak of... a simple place with great food!
google avatar

Dillon M.

Yelp
Food was delicious. It's definitely a cool spot, & love how they wear (and sell) lederhosen. Biggest downside is the cost. I paid for one beer stein, the reuben & half the sausage/fries appetizer... my bill was nearly $60 (before tipping). I was shocked as that's just absolutely unreal to me for that amount of beer + food. Food: 5/5 Cost: 2/5 Overall: 3/5 Otherwise, it's a cool spot - I just don't have the money in this economy to afford it.
google avatar

Nicky T.

Yelp
Came here for lunch with family. Staff was very informative and friendly and the food was outstanding. Live music was a treat as well. We ordered a 10 oz. hot pretzel for an appetizer, you've got to try it with the house mustard! I had the Kasespatzel (entree size), which is similar to Mac n' cheese. It was delicious! We also had Schnitzel and a sausage platter (you pick 3). The Sauerkraut is done really well too. I also ordered a Honigbar drink, it has honey and mango liquor, pineapple juice and gummy bears. Lastly, we shared a slice of Black Forest cake. That was decadent. Overall the food and vibe was great. The seating is very open and they utilize long benches. Lastly, before you leave, out the side exit that goes to the Mall there is a mural on the hallway with a lot of German bier history which was super cool. Don't sleep on this place, it's great!

Yelp
I really love this place! Even though it is inside a mall they still manage to capture so much of the look and feel of an authentic Munich Beer Hall experience! This is such a great reproduction of a Bavarian German bier hall that it made me almost feel like I was back in Munich! Outside of the Germantown Okotberfest celebration the Bavarian Bierhaus seems to be the main location of Nashville's Octoberfest party celebrations; which the Bavarian Bierhaus's overall aesthetic is far more authentic than what you get at the Germantown Oktoberfest events. If you are looking for an American Octoberfest with a traditional Octoberfest food, music and atmosphere the Bavarian Bierhaus will give you the most realistic experience that I've found in Nashville so far! Overall this is a much more authentic experience than what happens in Germantown and I really wish that they would do more things in Germantown like they do here! Von Elrod's is the next closest business to coming near being authentic but they really need to change their music to match actual Oktoberfest music instead of the DJ's they use that play bad American music... This is an awesome place so visit it ASAP!!! My video review of Bavarian Bierhaus is here: https://youtu.be/lp7_6Q2yFn4

Yelp
Good food, great beer and a German atmosphere! What more could you ask for? It was exactly what we expected and the service was great. Only thing missing was live music which they frequently have just not during our visit. If you want any a touch of German while in Nashville, this is it. No good German food in Germantown so this is it!

Yelp
Delicious food. Hard to find prices for brunch food. We ordered off regular menu and everything was delicious. I would go back just for the salmon- it was perfectly cooked and the lemon sauce was so tasty with it.

Yelp
I loved my experience here! We came by on a Saturday night and because it's in a mall, my expectations were pretty low. But, inside was super cute! We were seated right away at a long table next to another group about to leave, so once they did we pretty much had the table to ourselves. There was an accordion player, which was fun (though his vocals were too low to hear). Our server was so friendly & lovely, and all the food came out relatively quickly. I ordered a Liter-sized Warsteiner Dunkel, which was great, and Kartoffelpuffer (Potato Pancakes) for the table. They were huge and veryy crispy and I liked both the sour cream and applesauce with them. I probably wouldn't order them again, though. For my meal I got the Goulash (tomato-based stew) with Spatzle (egg noodles) and wow! That was incredible. The meat was a bit tough, but I pretty much just wanted the soup & spatzle anyway. It was so good I ate beyond my level of fullness and still took plenty of it home. Enjoyed the experience but I don't see myself heading to Opryland super often.

Yelp
The food was not even close to German. The best thing on the plate was the potato salad. As a German I don't know how this was kase Spätzle. So not good

Yelp
I ordered delivery. Great quality fish and chips as well as potato pancakes with accouterments.

Yelp
After having a fun time at Madame Tussauds and doing some spending damage at a few stores, I had worked up an appetite. I needed to grab some lunch. I saw Bavarian Bierhaus and followed the signs to the eatery. I hadn't been to a Bavarian establishment since I was in Frankfurt, Germany. I was looking forward to finding out whether the food would be authentic at this restaurant or heavily westernized. I got to the reception area. A nice woman there said hi. She advised that I needed to sign in to get on the waitlist. The wait was twenty minutes tops. I was game. All staff are in traditional German attire. Lederhosen is so common that you feel like you forgot to dress appropriately for the occasion! There are seats in front of the reception area. It gave me time to charge my phone and look around. I got a notification on my phone that I was ready to be seated. I followed the woman to a table and sat down. Seating here is communal. It means that you could be sharing your table with a bunch of folks. It threw me back to being an undergraduate and having lunch at Glendon College's cafeteria. Luckily, my memories were not traumatic. I ended up sharing my table with two women and two kids who were all speaking Russian. You scan the QR code located on the table to view the menu. Brendon was my server. He was courteous, knowledgeable, and highly attentive. I asked for water because I was thirsty. I looked at the beverages and wanted an alcoholic drink. The feigling sangria looked good in the photo. I love sangria and got one. My server advised that there was a bit of a wait at the bar fixing drinks. I appreciated the update. I was fine, as the water made me happy. My sangria arrived. It was fruity, citrusy, and refreshing. The alcohol in this drink was strong. I loved it so much. I want to say that it was vodka and red wine, but I felt that there was more to it that made it special. I highly recommend it. I went ahead and ordered my main meal. I am a schnitzel person. You have the option of getting pork, chicken, or paprika (chicken). I got the pork. I wanted spaetzle as the side. Brendon said that my meal came with it automatically. He said that I could get a double order of it. I was thrilled that I could choose another side because the cucumber salad had caught my attention. Done! You also get to choose the gravy that you want on it. I went with Jager gravy, which is brown gravy. You can also get Swiss cheese sauce. My phone continued to charge. I highly recommend carrying a portable battery with you. Just let it charge while you eat. My food came. It looked so good. I was so hungry that I went for it. The spaetzle was delicious. It was pretty close to the spaetzle that I had in Frankfurt. It was tender, perfectly cooked, and yummy. I'd say that the food here is authentic. You get a huge steak knife with your pork schnitzel. I loved every morsel of it. The breading was light and crispy. The pork was tender and juicy. The gravy was flavourful and the perfect amount over the schnitzel. Sauteed mushrooms on top made me incredibly happy. OMG. Get this dish! I love cucumber as much as I love mushrooms. As simple as this tangy, sweet salad was, I loved every cucumber slice. It was light and refreshing. I was obsessed with it. Shopping does work up my appetite. I ordered this restaurant's signature dessert, which is the pretzel pudding. It has apparently won many awards throughout Tennessee that I needed to try it myself. I asked that the whipped cream be held. It was. This pretzel pudding was delightful. Pretzel cubes in custard and baked is such a brilliant idea. The pudding was warm and divine. I got a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream on top with caramel drizzle. This dessert makes regular bread pudding boring and ancient in comparison. I got my bill. It came with a QR code to pay online. I did and tipped. My server came over and thanked me. Brendon was awesome. Both the service and food made my lunch memorable and special. If he hasn't got a raise yet, he deserves one. I used the washroom before I left. The stall that I in was clean and spacious. No complains. This eatery has live music. There wasn't any during my lunch. I came back on a Sunday and caught a woman singing on stage for a bit. It's such a cool place, whether you are soaking in some live music over a beverage, or stuffing your face because you're hungry. I had a fabulous experience. I will definitely return when I'm back in Nashville for great food and sangria. It was an excellent find. (293)

Yelp
The food was truly of German flavor. We went there for the beer and stayed for the desert. Everything about the restaurant felt authentic. The staff are even wearing Bavarian outfits. I can't wait till October comes around and I come back for Oktoberfest. Initially, I was only gonna have half a liter, ended up drinking a full liter. Guess I have to try the boot. Jeremy and Fiat, you have to come here. I felt like I was in Germany. I've been there twice.

Yelp
The food was great ! My husband enjoyed the Nashville hot chicken ! I had the schweinbraten - which had good flavor ! Sadly no dumplings like on the picture ! Service was something you guys need to work on ! I ask for a Spezi which I was told you don't have it but was on the menu !! However the server was not very attentive and didn't knew the menu ! Took away with the fun experience ! ‍

Yelp
Wow! This place is authentic and delicious! Long tables for big groups are everywhere. They even had non-alcoholic beer! The spatzel and red cabbage were AMAZING sides! And I loved the grilled salmon. The sausages and pretzels and schnitzels were giving 5 stars by all at our big group. And then had the sweetest apple tart...so freaking good! CONE HERE AFTER GAYLORD CONVENTION DAYS!

Yelp
If you want to drink a trough of beer, eat some wieners and roll out for a nice long walk inside the mall...oh boy is this the place for you. I had the sausage tray with the red cabbage and spaetzle. The longer, red sausage was amazing and the the cabbage was really good too! I'd definitely pass on the spaetzle though...it tasted like warm scrambled eggs and kind of looked like it too. My dad had the cucumber salad and he really liked it, and both of my precious parents got the currywurst. They both really enjoyed that. We ended the meal with Black Forest cake...but I innocently ordered it via the QR code and it took ages to get delivered. Nbd. It was delicious. It's a weird system here. You can order off your phone, or you can order with a server...and the menu is totally digital. You can also close out via Apple Pay which is very convenient. Anyways, if you want to eat at the mall and leave fat and happy...go here.

Yelp
Great food. Friendly, attentive wait staff. Fun if you go for the music. If a lot of people, 'family style' seating, or a lot of people overwhelm you, go for lunch (after 1:00pm) during the week and sit in the bar. But the food is wonderful and the variety of beers is fun!

Yelp
Tried this place out for lunch today after play top golf for 2 hours. Worked up an appetite so we order 2 huge beers and a giant pretzel to start with and then order the 3 sausage platter and the fish and chips. The beers are big and pricey the 2 liter boot was 42 bucks but was worth it. And the one liter I had was 21 bucks. The pretzel was good and hot as well the beer cheese was good also but definitely not worth 18 bucks. The fish and chips is 20 bucks but he got huge piece of fish with decent flavor and good amount of fries. The 3 sausage platter I got has the apple gouda, obktoberfrst brat and the jalapeño cheddar brat which were all good but not much flavor and this set me back 24 bucks. Service was just OK they weren't busy at all at 12 pm. Plenty of parking since its attached to the outlet mall. Nice decor and music wasn't to loud and clean bathrooms. Portion size to price of the food not so great. I would come here for the drinks again but would pass on the food.

Yelp
Hofbrauhaus-styled Bavarian Biergarten with all of the classic dishes and a great selection of German and domestic beers. Fun sitting with and getting to know strangers at the large tables. Go on a night the band plays. Tons of fun!

Yelp
Apparently, this place gets very loud and crowded. Fortunately, I missed all that because I was there on a Thursday for a 4 o'clock dinner. I think if you want a quieter dining experience, you should definitely visit during a weekday for an early-bird dinner. I got the fish and chips, which came in a big basket with some tartar sauce. The fish was nice and crispy but not greasy, and the fries were seasoned and good. We also got the schweinshaxe, which on the menu is described as the Rolls Royce of German cuisine. It's two 1-pound pork shanks, two sides, gravy, spaetzle, lingonberry and horseradish. And we also got the kids cheeseburger with fries, and kids pretzel with cheese. My kids really enjoyed their food -- especially the one who ordered the pretzel. Just an FYI: The pretzel comes with salt on it, but I think you can request a salt-free pretzel, for those kids who object to anything on their pretzel. All this food, plus two half-liters of beer, was over $100. Ay yi yi! (Or whatever expression is the equivalent in German.) The food was good, but for what we ordered, I feel like $100+ is a lot. All this to say: Be prepared to pay a lot for a meal. But I think if you are someone who likes loud entertainment and you come for the show plus the food, it might be worth it. For us, this was just another meal in Nashville, and it was a very expensive meal.
