Top notch!! Our experience here exceeded our greatest expectations. The room was clean and super comfortable. The arcade was a teenage family favorite that kept us coming back again and again. The waterpark was just enough to fill a day with lots of laughs. The Cafe was perfect for us for a casual lunch and dinner. The staff went above and beyond to help us find safe food options due to a dairy allergy. Absolutely perfect in every way! We will be back again-soon!

Visited the new water park with my wheel chair bound mother. The staff was so kind to hold the door open for me and told me to enjoy my look around. It raised my mother's spirits and I am forever grateful for this moment in time. It's a beautiful place! She also had fun bowling and playing games in the arcade. The shrimp and fries were delicious!

All staff (but one) were so nice, polite and patient in answering my questions, from check-in to checkout. Kudos to all of them! We enjoyed our 3-night's stay. I especially want to say thank you to our waterpark server "Shelly" - she was awesome!!!||As mentioned before, everyone from check-in to checkout, room, restaurants, waterpark, mini golf, etc. were awesome too! I would have given a perfect 5 stars, but for the one staff where we bought extra day pass tickets.||My brother and sister-in-law, visiting from Maryland, joined us for a day in waterpark. My brother is a military veteran and had a few questions, but the person who was assisting us was rude and had the attitude of disliking to help us. She was very impatient and not very welcoming. She was very impatient in answering our questions. She was extremely rude and impolite. She should not be in direct contact with customers. I noticed that the other two staff helping others were very nice and polite with their customers. We had the misfortune of being helped by "Shay". :( Her name is "Shay" - I'm typing the name the way it sounded to me when I asked her.

Bavarian Inn was great for a family vacation. All staff were super friendly and helpful with excellent customer service. The water park was amazing! Wave pool, hot tubs, water slides, swim up bar, adult only section and kids section where parents can sit close by and watch without getting in the water. When the water park closes at 9pm, there's a family fun center with indoor pools and slides that stay open until 10pm, and when that closes the arcades and mini golf area stay open until midnight. So there is always something to do! It was great and I will definitely visit again.

Google
Enjoyed our stay. The Resort offered plenty of activities for the entire family. Enjoyed having multiple option on site for food and entertainment where I did not have to leave. Truly appreciated the effort put in to maintaining the condition of the property. From the room to the mini golf course all areas were maintained and in good condition. Liked that everything in town is also within a walkable distance. Cannot wait to return.

The waterpark was nice. Could definitely tell all the money was in the waterpark. We expected more from the park. We think it was talked up more than what it actually ended up being. But still nice. Rooms were completely outdated. Stains on carpets . Beds were comfy. The food was less than desired at the hotel and overly priced.

We went for their soft opening of the water park and my son had a blast. There was so much for him to do. He loved that you could swim inside and outside in the hot tub. Service was great. Friendly helpful staff. The arcade is giant now and endless fun. The rope climbing is a cool touch. My son tried it out but it was a little too high Up for him. The staff members were super understanding and even let me come down take a min then let him try again. The floor though is very slippery he fell and hit his head in the wave pool and then fell and got his knee walking into the kiddie pool. I wish they wouldn’t have made it so smooth but then again I’m not a pool expert so maybe it has to be. For sure recommend water shoes for the littles with good grip. We will be coming back for sure !!!

Comfortable beds, great fun. However dont expect to sleep much. ||||Also warning the new waterpark needs some work. Its far too slippery with no traction on the cement right outside the kids area. ||Great place for families but most kids run the halls without any supervision. Fire alarm was pulled during our stay.

Yelp
I had purchased all day ropes course and climbing wall bracelets for my kids. I asked what time it closed and were told they closed at 10, but last run goes at 930pm. So around 9pm on Thursday Jan 23rd I took the kids down to do their last run on the ropes course. When we got down there we saw that it was closed. I asked the person working the counter in the arcade prize room why it was closed and he told me that they close at 9, so we would have had to be there by 830pm. We were bummed bc we had specifically asked earlier when we purchased what time it closed and were told 10pm. He said that mon through Thursday they closed at 9 and Friday and sat they closed at 10. Bummer. He could tell the kids were sad and so was I just bc we had specifically went down there knowing it would be their last one. I understand it wasn't anyone's fault and the girl that sold me the tickets earlier maybe had her days mixed up or something. Anyway we continued to look around for the prizes the kids were going to get from the arcade. While we were looking, the kid that was helping us earlier had 2 bracelets and told us they were for tomorrow and he was sorry for the mix up about closing. My kids were so excited. And I was beyond excited that he was so understanding. So a huge shout out to "Pierce" for helping us out. I really hope he gets the credit he deserves and he knows how much we appreciated his help and kindness.

Yelp
My family and I stayed over this past weekend. I want to give a shoutout to the staff at the Bavarian Inn Lodge. they were very helpful and kind. i left my magnet that said my name on it on the fridge in our room we stayed in. we called on our way home and they said we will check for you and mail it back to me. It arrived today and I can't believe they found it. Again, shoutout to house keepers and Reservations. Cant wait to come back here, it's our home away from home! We are planning the next one

Jamie R.

Yelp
Spent the weekend for my husband's work trip. The banquet food was amazing, best chicken ever. The new water park is not open yet which is a bummer, but we still had fun at the two water slides, laser tag and doing the ropes course. Our only complaint is that the water in the hot tub and water slides has way to much chlorine in it , my son who has eczema broke out in a full body rash and the water was burning his body so he couldn't really enjoy it the second day. Sitting in the hot tub the chemicals were so strong that it was burning our eyes and actually discolored my brand new bathing suit. We will be back to check out the new water park when it's done!

Jen L.

Yelp
It's a favorite. It's getting more expensive, but with the addition of the new water park (coming spring 2025) there's so much to do. Love the arcade especially.

Kathleen S.

Yelp
Took a small family trip with 3 kids under 5. There were a lot of things to do and we were of walking distance of everything. My 5 year old and 2.5 year had a lot of fun! There was an arcade downstairs which is also where the pools are (with the exception of the adult pool). There is a toddler pool area. From 8am-9am, the ticket-free games were free so we definitely utilized that! There is also a small play area with a slide for the smaller kids. We played mini-golf, but my 5 year old wasn't too interested. The hotel rooms are a little outdated but I can't complain! The staff was very friendly! We didn't try the ice cream but I did have a beer at Rathskeller. The hotel was clean and overall it was a great stay! We can't wait until the new waterpark opens.

Liz G.

Yelp
We stayed up here for a couple nights during my daughter's winter break and had a blast. The staff and everyone was so friendly. The rooms were nice sized and decent price. Lots of fun stuff for kids to do. They are in the middle of remodeling and are going to be the biggest waterpark in a few months. Right now they have a laser tag zone, putt golf area, lots of games, nice pool, jacuzzi, toddler area, and 2 slides. They also have an adults only pool and jacuzzi next to a bar. It's a short walk from the hotel to downtown Frankenmuth and the River Walk which are both super fun with lots of cool stores. When they remodel it it's going to be epic. I highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Yelp
We booked a suite at the Bavarian Inn Lodge for one night. The lodge and our room were outdated, but we absolutely enjoyed our stay here. We had a blast in the indoor water park, and the activities - including the arcade - kept my 8-year-old niece and 10-year-old nephew busy for hours. Also, the resort is conveniently situated near museums, shops, and various attractions. The only aspect of our stay that I was disappointed with was the fact that we were charged for a Perks Card ($15), which comes with an annual fee ($8). The front office clerk should have sought our permission before signing us up.

Yelp
Meh Place is massive...thought I'd never get to my room...but once you know the layout, finding your way around is a breeze. Rooms are a tad dated and tired. Bathroom is "divided"...toilet/tub in a separate area, sink/dressing area outside that area. Good water pressure and plenty of towels. Toilet seat would not stay up...made it difficult for a guy to urinate without fears of castration. Bed comfortable as were pillows. If I had kids...they would have loved the pool area. Huge construction project happening...which was right outside our room. Hotel provided earplugs to drown out the noise, which, to be honest, was minimal. Liked having to cross a covered bridge to get to the hotel, which was, unfortunately, the only thing that stood out. Female staff member who checked us in was great. Wouldn't necessarily stay here again.

Nevaeh S.

Yelp
Pretty fun, nice water slides. Lots to do but kinda pricey. Food was amazing in the banquet hall, but Oma's restaurant buffet was not good at all everything tasted off and no one touched their food after. Pool and hot tub also had so much chlorine in them it itched and made our eyes burn, but loved sitting in them. Rooms were nice, but no water offered anywhere . The rope course was the scariest but favorite part of our weekend.

Nora B.

Yelp
Best vacation ever! The water park is so fun. And I love the arcade! I met these 3 girls in the water park and we were talking lol!

Alex R.

Yelp
When we walked into our room there was a knife full of peanut butter on the table, the floors didn't look like they had been vacuumed, the mini fridge was gross on the inside, there was random stuff other people left around the room, the bathroom had such a strong sewer smell until I poured water down the floor drain and made the smell bearable, and there was loud noises from the mini golf area most of the night making it so my kids couldn't sleep.

Nicole S.

Yelp
We had a very good stay at Bavarian Inn Lodge! This is one of those hotels that is a blessing for people traveling with children, because there is a lot of stuff to do all under one roof: a gigantic arcade, a miniature golf course, two indoor pools, two indoor water slides, a huge hot tub, family restaurants and a bar inside the hotel, crafts and activities, and lots more. You get a decent place to stay and entertainment all in one. My kids loved the arcade the most. There were so many different games to play, and lots of prizes to win. Next to the arcade is the mini golf course, which we visited twice during our stay. It's kind of challenging because the floor isn't entirely straight, but it's fun and something to pass the time. There's also a family restaurant located near the mini gold course and arcade that sells things like chicken tenders, pizza and burgers, as well as lots of other food and beer on tap and in the can. The water slides are fun, but make sure you're wearing your wrist band! The people who work at the water slides are judicious about making sure everyone who is on the slide has a wrist band (fair enough), so put yours on unless you want a teenager scolding you. The rooms are relatively comfortable and include mini refrigerators and a small table. Free wifi is also included. The shower in our bathroom was clogged when we arrived, but when we called down to the front desk and let them know, they sent someone up right away to remedy the problem. They are currently not doing housekeeping unless your stay is more than four days (as of October 2022). So we had to call and ask that our trash be taken away and our towels replaced. The pillows on our bed were ridiculously hard, and I think Bavarian Inn needs to reevaluate their pillow situation. At one point during the night, as I was tossing and turning, I wondered if I was being punked and they had actually replaced all of the pillows with yoga bolsters. They were just ridiculously hard. If you can, get a room with a patio. The river view rooms overlook the river (duh), and occasionally we would see boats pass by.

Michele M.

Yelp
We loved our experience here and enjoyed the pools. There is even an adult only pool here! Definitely recommend staying during the holiday season

John S.

Yelp
Highly recommend. Plan on several days there not just one night. There is so much to do there. Very big and clean room. The beds are very clean and soft. Swimming pools, water slides, you might want to bring an extra $200.00 or so for the gift shop and games. This was posted in August of 2024 and the weather is great compared to houston, tx. About 73°F there.

Yelp
Love staying in Frankenmuth for little getaway, but this hotel just isn't up to par for the price paid. It is definitely family friendly, so if you have kids, then you may feel different and get more bang for your buck to utilize all the amenities. I wish the hotel offered a different price for those who aren't utilizing the amenities. The room was just "ok" and the best part was the view was the pool area. There was a mini fridge but no microwave or coffee pot. The bed was very firm and as others have mentioned, the pillows (both front and back rows) were all hard and uncomfortable. Walls are very thin as the room next to me was up very early and I could hear every single word and cough. No breakfast included. Breakfast option through hotel was too expensive so opted to skip and go into town instead. Not worth the price unless you are going to utilize all the amenities. Otherwise, just book a regular chain hotel for cheaper.

Richard H.

Yelp
I want to like this place, really. But as hotels go, this one didn't work for us. On par with Motel 6 is what it feels like. Though clean, the room and halls are terribly dated. The pool area was passable. The food and shopping very touristy. And they charge premium rates. Make your Frankenmuth visit a day trip. Don't stay overnight here.

Christy N.

Yelp
We had several issues. We booked this trip months ago for travel date Dec 2024. We were told they were opening new addition with huge indoor water park Fall 2024. We were told it wasn't a guarantee but that they "should" be open. I even called about 10 days before the trip to ask about laundry facilities. I asked if they had actually opened yet. I was told then they were behind but would end up having a "soft" opening during the dates of our travel. They were not even close. When we traveled they had crews working and months away from opening, they still had open walls and dirt floors. It would have been nice if they had just been honest that they were way behind and no way would they be open while we were there. When I called to book I specifically asked if there was room in a standard room to set up a pack-n-play for my infant to sleep, they said there was not. So we ended up getting the honeymoon suite for the extra floor space. The room was nearly $2400 for 6 nights, significantly higher than standard room. Upon check-in, they saw me holding my 8 month old and created a big scene trying to charge me extra since she was staying in the room too. It was escalated all the way to on-site manager who then decided to give us a "favor" and not charge for our 8 month old after a huge scene about charging extra for her. The hotel itself is just ok. It is very, very outdated. The carpets are old and musty. The balcony door would lock you outside. My kids had a good time at the indoor pool and arcade. But the on-site restaurants were very poorly staffed. We waited 45 minutes just to get appetizers after ordering. We did not complain or cause issues but it seemed very much like the staff did not care at all about hospitality from check-in, all during the stay, to check-out. We didn't realize there were other big hotels and open water parks at them as well. I would never go back to Bavarian Inn but rather stay at any of the other hotels in the area. There were so many other little things during our stay that just overall made this not a great trip. I don't often leave reviews but was so incredibly disappointed with this trip overall that I feel like I should give warning to other families. It was a lot to stay there for a week and they definitely need to spend some money upgrading and updating the hotel and staff to justify the cost of this hotel. There are just better options the area. We have honestly had more room, better accommodations at just a standard LaQuinta or similar hotel. We expected more for the price of this hotel and we were very disappointed, so buyer beware.

Winston R.

Yelp
Their service is amazing all of their staff is so understanding and their authentic German outfits make it better the food is so good their pools and slides are a bunch of fun Me and my family go there every year. Thank you Bavarian Inn Lodge and Zhender family

Polly M.

Yelp
Very inconvenient parking took several turns in the lot and still had to walk a distance to the room. Bed was very lumpy and worn. No coffee pot or microwave in room. Coffee station was not working in the morning had to go to the lobby for coffee. The pools in the basement looked like a dungeon. Not worth the 250 a night

Karen K.

Yelp
We stayed one night. Room and hotel was old and not updated at all. No soap in the room. Carpets weren't vacuumed. No microwave. Linens were clean. The amenities for the kids were nice. They are building an indoor water park but should have updated what they already have. We could have stayed somewhere else for a better value.

Andrea S.

Yelp
Best family friendly hotel!!! We are beyond satisfied with our experience at the hotel. The staff members are so friendly and welcoming. The fact that our family with young children, one being in a wheelchair can stay comfortably and have access to all the amenities means the world to us. Our kids had a blast in the pools , arcade and playing putt putt. My wife and I were able to relax and enjoy a few adult beverages while our kids played, which is a rare occurrence for us. Just overall really enjoyed our stay. Also, we saw countless employees cleaning the common areas and arcade. It was very clean and well maintained. We will definitely be back in the future.

Jeff V.

Yelp
Ok this isn't great wolf lodge. This place is very fun and during Octoberfest even better. My kids had a really good time and I would recommend for sure. The water slides are fun too but the first drop on the tube run drops good so be prepared. I Side note: single rider water slide at night is pitch black...... yes pitch black.... So if you're scared of the dark be prepared. I mean if you if you like space mountain at Disneyland be prepared cuz this is wild ride for sure at night

Dana D.

Yelp
A fun experience for the area! Is it the Ritz? No quiet. Is it a fun thematic hotel with lots of random kitschy things to do and great walking distance from the town? Absolutely! My husband and I came for a one night stay and thought it was fun and yes at times a bit cheesy, but also what else do you expect? It definitely lends its self more to families, which I think is great! However, it seemed no matter the age/group there was something for everyone to do. Yes, it is a little dated and the walls were thin where you could hear people's conversations, but overall it was a fun quick stay.

Claire C.

Yelp
This hotel was not my style. I will not be coming back. My mom and I stopped in Frankenmuth for 1 night and were expecting an authentic German experience. We did not receive that. The Bavarian Inn Lodge is definitely for families with young children and adults 60+. Now if you fall in this category you'd probably have a great time here as it's more of a resort than a 1 night stay hotel. To best explain the atmosphere I would describe the hotel as somewhere Clark Griswold would take his family on vacation. Now if you've seen any of the National Lampoon's vacation movies you'd know what I'm talking about. First off the hotel room was severely lacking, the bathroom was extremely small and the entire room gave me motel vibes with the 2nd entrance opening up to the outside. Secondly whoever decorated these rooms needs to rethink their career. The rooms definitely haven't been updated since 1985 and they're just overall creepy. Each room is decorated based on a real life local German family. All their personal photographs, awards, and newspapers articles are plastered on the walls of the rooms. It felt like we were staying in their guest bedroom of their home. I was also a little weirded out that a random family's wedding picture was hanging above my bed. The room size was average but it seemed small because there was too much furniture in the room. Every time my mom tried to open her suitcase she was bumping into a lamp, a table, a chair, or the dresser. Keep in mind we didn't even get the smallest room they had available. The hotel itself was similar to the room we stayed in. It was German themed yet the decor choices screamed mainstreamed and Americanized. There is a restaurant in the hotel as well as a shopping area. The food was very bland and too expensive for the quality we received. The shopping area was very disappointing as well. I was expecting authentic German clothes, toys, or packaged food but all the "German" things for sale were just overpriced junk. Again if you have young children they would have a great time here as there are many activities for kids, including swimming and an arcade. But if you're an outdoorsy person who likes authentic experiences this place is 100% not for you.

Shelly B.

Yelp
Very expensive. No coffee maker or microwave in the room. They nickel and dime everything. No area for adults for sitting. We were there for a wedding and check in was at 3- same time of the wedding. They charged you to check in early. Rooms outdated. Would not stay here again.

John S.

Yelp
Booked two nights in advance for a family member, was charged for first night. Called to confirm credit card was on file and that the second night and additional charges would be covered by the credit card on file. Was told that the card on file would be used. When my son checked in, he was informed that they needed to charge his personal card and not use my card that was on file. Offices close at 7:00 PM and I am not able to contact a manager. The manager in charge reached out to me and apologized for my inconvenience. The hotel sees a need to modify some of its policies. Their response to my problem was stellar and I chose to change my review to 5 star. Everyone had a great time and the wedding venue was first class.

Summer V.

Yelp
Truly don't understand why someone would voluntarily go to this place. It's so out of date, dirty, and there are chlorine smelling children running around everywhere. Maybe if you went ironically it would be fun????

Monica S.

Yelp
First off I'd like to say I absolutely love the "hotel!" We stay here regularly for a little get away that's close to home. This is our 4th time here this year and will be returning frequently because of how much I enjoy the hotel. I have a 4 year old and the pools are amazing for her nothing to crazy which makes it enjoyable to relax and watch your kids it's open enough and sectioned off so each spot isn't too over ran! Every visit the hotel has been full and busy, there's always something new like , bands, karaoke, cute little decor for holidays oh I could go on and on! I would 5 star this place day I enjoy the atmosphere and staff is very nice also! But, as much as I hate to say this I believe constructive criticism can always be appreciated. Unfortunately, the food experience have been very rough! I think some good monitoring is this area by management could be used. There is so much inconsistency in how the food is prepared. I think sometimes the staff even knows it considering almost every time we order at any of the restaurants in the hotel we get apologies on wait or short staff like saying "sorry if this sucks but..." I don't mind about wait or the price and bla bla I'm here to relax and I don't mind but, Sadly enough it's always been very disappointing. The food quality for the down stairs it what it is it kinda reminds me of fair food options and totally understandable fast and easy! But not properly executed. Bratwurst today wasn't done, inedible. Ordered nachos also unfortunately the chips were very tough and stale.

Jasmine P.

Yelp
So expensive. I stayed here two nights for a friends wedding. If you're in a rush to check in for any obligations, come early! Our check in time was 3 o'clock and we got there a few minutes early and there was a huge line. We waited 30 minutes to check in and they charge you extra if you want to check in early. The cable for the TV went out for a night and there was no fan in the bathroom... water pressure was great though. If you want the Bavarian & historical German style architecture then stay here.

Gina P.

Yelp
visited here in the fall with my boyfriend! it was my first time staying at the inn. had a wonderful time. beautifully themed with so much to do! room was perfect. staff was friendly. my favorite part was the adult pool area which was so quiet and relaxing. also loved mini golf and the water slides! we enjoyed walking in the halls and looking at all the pictures on display from guests over the years. overall such a relaxing and fun weekend trip. excited to see what the new expansion brings. hope to come again!

Angie S.

Yelp
First timers driving in from Pittsburgh, PA. I didn't book a room cause I seen there were a ton of openings and wasn't sure if I wanted to stay here. Once we pulled up and went inside to see how quaint it was we decided. I had been looking at prices online and it seemed reasonable but when we got to the front desk we decided we wanted a room that you could walk outside into the adult pool area to use the hot tub. I couldn't understand why the rate was more than what I was seeing online & the girl helping me couldn't match up the rate with what I was seeing online. I just agreed to book the room for a rate of $497.00 for two nights due to the access to the adult hot tub area. Good: -Everyone is so friendly here. Gosh I couldn't believe it. -The place was so clean, I mean immaculate & you seen workers cleaning everywhere you went. -Room was very big & I appreciated that. -Fridge in room. -Quick walk to town and shops. We even walked to the Christmas store from here. Bad: -No coffee pot in room. Gosh it's so inconvenient to get showered & dressed to walk to the lobby to get coffee. -Pillows were hard as rocks. -The resort is very dated. -Now for the kicker. Remember the only reason I agreed to the rate for the room was due to the access to the hot tub area. We came back mid day from town to unwind & go in the hot tub but it was closed. I waited an hour and then finally went to the front desk. Apparently the pump had broke & it would be longer. Ended up being about 3 hours. I explained to the woman how I paid more for the room to have access to the hot tub. She told me I could use another hot tub in the building. Sorry but that's not the point of me paying $497.00 for a room & not being able to use it's amenities. Once again I explained that using another hot tub would work, it's the point of what I paid for. As I was walking away she did ask for my room number but I never heard from anybody. Due to this situation I will not stay here again. That rate isn't cheap and not having any follow up to my situation was disappointing.

Yelp
******Addendum***** Thanks to Jim E. for having his housekeeping team check and re-check the room. They found my mom's missing tablet. It's unusual in this day and age to be pleasantly surprised by a companies customer service. I'm happy to be able to change my review to reflect what a quality place the Bavarian Inn is. With sincere thanks, Jennifer and Deborah Dear Jim E, Thanks for your response. The spot my mom left it in, would be right by the wall, (closest to the bathroom) beside the bed in room 108. My mom says it would have been impossible for the gal to remake the bed for the next guest without stepping on it. I've had her check and re-check for it...and we didn't go anywhere in between the hotel and home. I know that there's nothing to be done at this point, and that's fine. We're just chalking it up as a loss. Again, it's her fault for leaving it in the room to begin with. Also, we've never had a problem at the Bavarian Inn before. It's a great place and I'm sure we will be back. So if you've re-checked the room and you trust your housekeeper, I'm fine with that. It had to have been the subsequent guests. Thanks for responding and re-checking. Sincerely, Jenn and Deborah

Alexandra P.

Yelp
I'm having an amazing time and I have hardly checked in! The rooms are delightful and I adore the family touch to everything. The shuttle service is great and the staff have been super helpful and cheery!

Yelp
Technically I'd give it 2 1/2 stars. We rented out 19 rooms, plus a banquet room For our boat clubs winter meeting and gathering. We paid extra for a "suite" next to the adult pool. The room was nice enough, although we had no coffee maker, and a random ice bucket with no lid. No microwave available either. So for the price, it was sorely lacking. The banquet room was ok, the chicken (which they are famous for) was very good, but the prime rib was tough, and not cooked properly, the sides and veggies were bland, no flavor and zero seasoning. Most of us paid an extra $39 per person for an "open bar". That "bar" was a gal behind a small table, with very poor offerings. No good German beer or better liquor brands and no one was allowed to have any "shots". I'm sure that rule wasn't discussed beforehand. The Rented time for the banquet room was 5-12. It was small and overly warm in there, so by 9:30-10pm everyone had left the banquet room and all went to our suite. Through the door wall was the adult pool, along with tables and chairs in a sort of indoor courtyard. So everyone hung out, visited, played cards etc between our room and the area outside it. At exactly 5 minutes past 11 pm. (This was a Saturday night) A young man, (about 22, 5'11 and maybe 120lbs) comes over to us, with a very bad attitude and immediately starts Threatening us! No warning, no "can you keep it down" etc. Nope! He just says, Your making to much noice, and I'll just call the police if I need to, I've had a complaint" one, single complaint, according to him. No nicely worded "please keep the noice level down", etc. We were stunned! One member, was jokingly saying "Shhh" to everyone, no one was rude or disrespectful at all. I don't think we even responded we were so shocked! (average age of boat club members is 40-70 ish, plus we had a few kids with our group). That little guy came right back and says to the guy who was just kidding "if you are the problem, I'll just remove you"! (He was 6'2 about 220 lbs.) Within 20 minutes another Group of 16 people were sitting right near us. They were making as much or more noise, and the little guy had disappeared and said nothing to them. ‍ In my humble opinion it's extremely bad manners (and dangerous, frankly) to just confront a large group of paying customers and start threatening them. Especially when you didn't even give a single warning! I doubt our club will return to this place. They have a rogue employee that likes to threaten innocent guests for no good reason. (He might get hurt badly someday, with an attitude like that! Perhaps the "service industry" is a poor career Choice for him). If you've got a large, fun loving group, go somewhere else!

Yelp
A Much better experience than my last two times I've visited. I recently had hip surgery, so I had to make the best out of this hotel. I wanna shout out Rose for sort've guiding me and making sure that my stay was pleasent, I've seen her later at the Ratskeller Lounge during karaoke time. Thank you to her and some of the staff for turning it up, that night. The entire Staff there were extremely friendly. Sometimes a little too friendly because they all seem like they were hiding something. lol. My bed was a little stiff than a rock, but everything else from the Family Fun Center was a Major Hit..

Yelp
They charged me for a time i had to cancel due to Covid. This was very unfair as i was sick and didn't want to infect others

Yelp
The rooms are okay but Oma's restaurant is awful. The pizza looks and taste like a cheep frozen off-brand pizza. The restaurant calls you to come from your room and pick up the cold, improperly cooked garbage they call food. A total embarrassment.

Yelp
We have spent a couple different weekends at the Bavarian Inn the last couple years. This year ,I have to say will probably be the last. This year was very disappointing!!!! It was so noisy . Hardly anyone in our family got any sleep. The halls were ridiculously noisy and annoying both nights we were there. Last night was THE WORST !!!!! There was A Lot of people in the room next to us. They were so unnecessarily noisy . Yelling ,throwing things . And it went on all night . Also we went to Oma's Restaurant the first night. 2 people ordered the chicken strip dinner . We got our food to go and ate in our room. Both dinners were missing a chicken strip. One was missing an order of mashed potatoes. And they either didn't believe us . Or just flat out didn't care. This morning the construction crew started working right after the kids next door started screaming. We actually checked out 3 hours early just to get some peace!!!

Yelp
I used to come here when I was a kid and loved it. Now I come as an adult and love it even more! It is a timeless place full of German magic!

Yelp
I haven't stayed at the Bavarian since I was a kid, there have been quite a few upgrades since. This place is still great for the whole family. One of the things we really enjoyed, and was the reason why we picked Bavarian Inn, is the ADULTS ONLY pool and hot tub! PURE BLISS! None of the other resorts or hotels have this (that I could find). It was amazing! This quiet courtyard, indoor pool, with windows looking over the river, with soft music playing. There are some rooms that even have patio doors to walk right into the courtyard area. They should really promote this more. lol The room was a good size, and very comfortable. It looked a bit dated, but it was still quite nice. We had a balcony overlooking the river. It was nice to be able to have a sliding glass door with a screen to let some fresh air into the room. The onsite restaurant and bar was also very nice. The food was great, and the lounge had outdoor seating with servers. There is also spots to purchase craft beer in bottle or growlers, and bottles of wine. Almost no need to leave the lodge. :) We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to get another weekend away!

Yelp
We have been guests 5 times a year for the past 8 years. And tonight will be the absolute last time I will ever be back. We came this weekend for our sons 4th Birthday as this is what he wanted to do. He was so excited for time at the pool and arcade. We had some fun in the pool then came back after dinner for some more run at the pool. I took my oldest son on the water slid hoping to enjoy some alone time with him for once. Only then to be asked to "step" on a Scale and be weighed in front of everyone. Being in a swimsuit is already extremely embarrassing enough for most people. But having the scale face everyone so they all can see is so disrespectful. I get it for safety reason but you can handle it much better then putting people on the spot like this. I went down the slide in utter tears. And I'm not heavy of a woman but it still was unreal having that happen. This could be handled much more professionally as in I don't know have this happen privately at check in! It completely ruined my night and we left early. This happen last year I never posted my review until one of my friends said this Happen to her. We have not returned since this happen.

Yelp
Our stay was great. I see some people saying it's old or out dated but I didn't think anything needed improvement. The parts of the decor that might be a little dated are still clean and functional. Room had a huge tv, a coffee maker, and a mini fridge. It could have used a microwave. I did see one near the elevators on the first floor but for a late night snack that's not really convenient. Multiple pools, including one reserved for just adults. Only got to go on the red water slide as the other was having maintenance done. It's been years since I've gone down one. It was fun. The fun center is a Dave and Busters type arcade where you load credits on a card and earn tickets on most games.

Yelp
This place is adequate, at best. The rooms are fine, nothing is great. Everything is outdated. The food is not good. Everything just appears old and sad. Could be so much cooler, the lounge is just a room. All The food is just tired. The rooms have wallpaper. Honestly, its just tired. Was expecting so much more than this. No coffee in rooms. Shower pressure is great though

Yelp
Omg! I cannot begin to share how amazing our experience had been here! Amazing staff, clean rooms, free shuttle service, SO MUCH TO DO!!!! The price was worth the stay! I am so happy with this stay, I plan to return soon for a longer booking! Very happy!!!

Yelp
As much as we love Frankenmuth, my experience with the Bavarian Inn Lodge is not so good. If you reserve a room and then change the date, you can no longer change the date afterwards. You also lose your first night deposit if you need to cancel. Life happens, but at the Bavarian Inn Lodge, too bad, so sad. The funny thing is, whenever we go up to Frankenmuth, there is always a "vacancy." I was an idiot for reserving a room in advance. We will go, have our dinner and stay the night (or else lose $200), but I will never stay at the Bavarian Inn Lodge again. Truthfully, I am so turned off by what has happened with my reservation, it will be a long looooong time before I go up to Frankenmuth again after this.

Yelp
I had such an amazing time staying here. I stayed here for my husband's birthday from Thursday to Saturday and we both had a blast. I opted for the Willy's Package to be added to our room and it was super cute! They also included a gift card for the arcade and a free mini golf for my husbands birthday. It was so sweet. It made us both cry! The staff was so friendly and welcoming! Everyone seemed to have a smile on their face. It seemed like they all genuinely loved their jobs and it made our stay that much more pleasant. I did not have any bad service at any of the restaurants we ate at. Everyone greeted us when we walked by. It felt like home. I loved the pools and the water slides. The arcade had so many fun games. There is so much to do that I never felt bored the whole trip. We're both big kids at heart. We barely wanted to leave the hotel to explore. There's just so much to do! Now let's be real, the food is the BEST. I live for the chicken dinners. I also enjoyed our breakfast at Omas and late night snacks at the Ratskeller. We loved it so much that we are planning on coming back every six months and staying. We are perks club members and it is such a good deal. I can't wait to come back and make more memories here.

Yelp
we love the bavarian inn! such a great vacation spot. there are so many things to do here, including the arcade, mini golf, restaurants, and pools all inside the hotel! the pools are always clean and every time we visit (usually on mondays or tuesdays) there are barely any people there. the bavarian inn restaurant inside of the hotel is alright, but i would recommend going to the zhenders chicken dinner which is only a few minute walk away. i would definitely recommend stopping by for a vacation.

Yelp
A very cute hotel that really makes you feel like you're in Germany! This hotel is complete with many great amenities that makes it a really fun place to stay for families: several pools, hot tub, game room and an adorable gift shop. Although I didn't have the food, it looked like good home style German food and smelled delicious! One of the best parts of this hotel is its appreciation for local history: each room is named after a family that settled to the Frankenmuth area. The room includes a family history and family pictures on the wall. I've never seen a hotel do something like this, but I wish every one would! We were able to look up my husband's family, which was cool. Now onto why I gave this hotel 3 stars despite it being so cute and authentic... the rooms really need to be updated. Given the price, they don't seem great. I understand that price includes access to the amenities, so I guess I wouldn't recommend staying here if you don't plan on accessing them. Our shower didn't drain well, light fixtures had dust on them, and decor could use some updating.

Yelp
Rooms are decent but hallway noise was definitely a problem. Average food but very cool atmosphere. The way the complex is put together is amazing as well. A tad pricey in my opinion.
