"Aptly occupying bay number 6 of an old car wash in East Nashville is this little bar that goes big on cocktails. The 14-seat nook whips up things like sherri cobblers infused with nori and fish sauce, pours of rum made with mushrooms, and even a tiny Negroni called Where’s My Hug. As one of the only stand-alone bars in the city open at 11am, you can get a proper drink while you get some work done and curb your mid-day hunger with some Thai chicken from S.S. Gai. We’ve been to Bay 6 so many times, we carved our name on one of the barstools (criminal mischief be damned). And we've never had a bad drink here. " - bailey freeman, ann walczak

The drinks are very good here. They offer variety and they have fun mixologist. Very inviting and enjoyable atmosphere whether inside or on the patio. The service is fast and lively. A amazing place to try. There are other restaurants in The Wash but you can order in or to go and they will bring the food to you. Great concept overall!

Bay 6 is my absolute favorite bar in Nashville. It’s cozy and creatively out together. The rotating menu of cocktails is thoughtfully crafted and introduces you to new spirits and flavors you don’t find elsewhere. Everyone who works there is friendly and attentive in offering suggestions. They also have great snacks and food pop-ups! If you’re looking for a great spot where you can actually hear someone and enjoy unique cocktails, this is the place.

Located at The Wash, quaint and intimate setting. If you don’t like small spaces you can sit outside. Also if you’re inside the bar the other bays will deliver your food to you! Stopped in during happy hour however all cocktails look delicious.

I’m so glad I found this this place! The interior is small, but super cute, and there’s plenty of covered outdoor seating if you’re with a larger party. The HH menu is pretty good, and Beau…he’s an amazingly friendly bartender! Lots of fun craft cocktails on the menu along with your favorite classics. My suggestion for your first cocktail would be the ‘The Staring Contest’. It’s the perfect craft cocktail for summer. Thank me later!

Wonderful place to get drinks. Just make sure that the lady bartender gives you a discount for the happy hour because she often forgets. Double check your tab.

Super intimate small bar in East. This is for sure your cocktail snob bar. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and overtly passionate about drinks mixing and riffs. If you want to experience a bar not named attaboy where the coktails are delicious and the bartenders are skilled enough to make you a one off...this is your spot. It helps that pearl diver and the fox are close by. Rosemary beauty queen qnd attaboy as well. So if you are looking for a night of cocktails that will knock your socks off this area of East will not disappoint. I got the starring contest and while it was a bit sweet for my taste the black lava salt rim did the trick to balance it out and while I would never get it again 90% of people will find it perfect. I def recommend this place to locals that want to impress on a first date or show off to your superiors for a business outing. Check this spot out and see if you agree. Tourists would be better served at fable lounge or le loup, but locals will love this bar, especially the cocktail snobs. Think a smaller divey attaboy with a cocktaTuesday? So really go for it here let the bartender know what you like and really let them take you on a journey.

Love this local bar! The "I'm doing my part" is a great afternoon cocktail, and the frozen drinks are perfect for summer. All the bartenders were super knowledgeable. It's a great vibe!

Google
Incredible cocktails with a great vibe. Bartender was kind, a great host, and created a cocktail just for us!!! Also a great plus to be able to order food from any of the restaurants in the row for dinner.

Yelp
I've been waiting for a special occasion to write up my favorite bar in Nashville and their two-year anniversary seemed like the perfect opportunity! The only place to get an alcoholic beverage in the micro food hall known as the Wash, Bay 6 markets itself as an "Izakaya-ish" bar (ie the design is supposed to be small, intimate, casual but a great place for hanging out / having good times). It is all of those things and more. With a seasonally-updated menu arranged by flavor that comes with the most beautiful and very helpful hand-drawn pictures of drinks (and often funny, inventive names for drinks), Bay 6 makes it incredibly easy to choose a beverage you'll really want to enjoy. They make all of their syrups/cordials in house and everything tastes so FRESH here that it's made it hard for me to want to get a drink anywhere else. Bay 6 is known for inventive, bordering on Asian-influenced flavors and I've truly some of the most interesting drinks of my life here. My all-time favorite drink they make (the Jackie Daytona) involves ingredients I never would have thought belong in a drink (carrot cordial, fernet, Coca Cola), but is so perfectly balanced and flavorful, it just really showcases the skills of the bartenders here. One of my favorite things about this bar is the rotating specialty spirits it always has. I've tried some of the most interesting amaro's and love that they absolutely pay attention to all the unique notes of a spirit before designing a drink around that spirit. Such a great place to try and learn about something new! If alcohol isn't your thing, this is also my favorite bar to get a non-alcoholic beverage, since it has such a wide range of tasty options including inventive mocktails, NA beer, my favorite NA amaro soda, local kombucha, or a bartender's choice mocktail. I spent almost a year not drinking and still really loved coming here because I always knew I had tasty options I could enjoy. Lastly, it's hard not to talk about Bay 6 without mentioning how amazing the people who work here are. It's more than incredible service, the whole crew at Bay 6 makes this such a fun and welcoming atmosphere to hang out in. My favorite place to come read a book be have a drink and be alone OR my favorite place to come with a friend or my dog and chat with other patrons or the bartender: there is always just a pleasant, very chill atmosphere. You can sit inside and order food from another Wash eatery and have it brought to you at your seat or get a drink to go and eat on the patio. Bay 6 hosts lots of fun events with drink specials throughout the week, my favorite of which happens Tuesday nights when they cover the bar in drawing paper, provide a plethora of colored pencils and allow you to unleash your inner Bob Ross. I am usually able to find parking on the street when I come here, but occasionally (during bad weather) splurge on the pretty cheap, closer paid options. My friends who live nearby also recommend parking across the street near the OTF lot. Overall a total gem a hangout place and Nashville is so lucky to have Beau and team bringing such great flavors and execution to the drink scene here!

Yelp
Bay 6 is a not-so-hidden gem tucked away inside The Wash on Gallatin. Parking in the neighborhoods surrounding is your best bet for free parking, but don't be a jerk and block someone's driveway. It's described as an izakaya-ish experience, and I couldn't agree more. You can grab drinks and sit outside and enjoy a meal from any of the business at this location, or you can belly up to the bar and grab a drink there. (Highly recommended this option, especially if you're solo or on a nice date) The bartenders are all great, seriously. Service is quick, they're very knowledgeable about the menu and you can tell that there's a lot of passion and cocktail/ingredient knowledge going into every drink. This is such a great asset to the neighborhood and I can't wait to see it flourish even more.

Yelp
Great, tiny little bar. Seats maybe 12 people. LOVE how the menu is laid out by flavor profile. Tons of cocktail options, including frozen drinks. A few beer options. Great place if in the area for a meal. Pro tip: you can have your food delivered here from the other places while you sit in the AC and drink your cocktail.

Yelp
Bartenders are so fun and made our Nashville trip!!!! Drinks are bomb, service is even better

Yelp
Bay 6 is an absolute gem in Nashville. Small and cozy, with such a cool energy when you walk in. There is attention to detail for everything from decor to the artfully styled menus. Right away I got a family vibe from the employees. Their bartenders Connor and Isabella really took the time to help me choose the perfect drink - because with so many awesome choices it's hard not to be indecisive! The wonderful Isabella mixed our drinks quickly and beautifully. I landed on the white elephant which was the perfect beverage after a long day. I also sipped on the space camp and another gator and can truly say that I don't think you can go wrong with any cocktail here. I also loved that I saw a handful of NA options when going through the menu, making this a place that truly has something for everyone. Go try it for yourself and tip your bartenders!!!

Dan S.

Yelp
This is a go to place for us. The attention to detail is unparalleled here. The hot coder in the fall feels exactly like fall.

Yelp
10/10 experience!!! The bartender had such an amazing attitude and brought a great atmosphere to the small space! The drinks we had were the most unique cocktails we've ever had and are now our top cocktails in all of Nashville!! These mixologists know what they're doing and I can't wait to go back

Yelp
Bay 6 is like putting on a warm sweater fresh out the dryer. It's cozy, it's comforting, it invokes feelings of happiness and contentment. It's major influence is the micro bars of Golden Gai in Tokyo. It has about 8 seats at the bar and another 7 or 8 at a small bartop behind it. The bartender cares a lot about her craft and plays around with off-the-beaten path spirits. I had a drink dubbed an apres-ski appletini. It was made with aquavit, bubbles, and a few other items with a mint leaf floater. It was tasty AF. I also had a skin contact wine which was a nice follow-up. They offer draft cocktails, cocktails made on the spot, wine, and beer. They also have 4 small snacks (olives, white miso hummus, olive oil cake, and something else). If you can't fit inside, you can order a drink and sit on the patio of The Wash. The whole concept of The Wash is such a delight. We need more of them in Nashville. Full disclosure, as a 5'2" person, I appreciate small spaces. They are refreshing in a world that can be so big! I also like large places, but there is something about micro and minibars that make me feel at home. I can't wait to go back and see what she mixes up next. This is a place to watch!

Yelp
VIBES FOR DAYS! #1 spot in Nashville. It's a quaint walk in bar where will leave you wanting more. They win awards, they have a great N/A mocktail list, best craft cocktails, best espresso martini, the best staff, and you will leave happy always. It is a Cheers type of bar - so you should come in ready to unwind and have fun - #lgbtqia+ friendly - everyone welcome

Connor M.

Yelp
This location is great. Whether you want different food options or a nice small, intimate bar to hangout at, the Wash has it all. We spent most of our time trying different drinks here at Bay 6. It's a very small bar with about 6 seats at the bar and 6 more seats against the wall. We loved how small it was because we were able to make friends with the bartenders and other customers. Everyone was extremely nice and welcoming and the music was on point. Definitely a vibe. The drinks were delicious! We ordered the Staring Contest, On Your Left, Baby Jessica and Negative Space. Negative Space was so good we had to get another after. Big shoutout to the bartenders Ben and Jordy, they made the experience so much more fun.

Sierra S.

Yelp
Best espresso martini I have ever had! Service was also incredible- shout out to the super sweet red head!

Emily S.

Yelp
Small, cozy, cocktail bar that is so charming you'll want to come back again and again. Classic drinks, and creative twists on others. Kind of feels like you're stepping into a cool friend's living room/bar area. Get yourself a drink and a bite to eat at any of the lovely options around The Wash.

Justin G.

Yelp
I can't say enough. This was an unexpected stop for some amazing cocktails with unique ingredients I'd never think to combine. Beau gets an A+++ for his spirits and cordials and everything bar related knowledge. I feel like I got a free mini cocktail class while I was enjoying his amazing drinks. The place is small and intimate with little personal trinkets and decor on shelves. I mean 100/100 overall. The menu itself is a fun book to flip through.

Alex H.

Yelp
drinks were fantastic and the vibes were impeccable! bartenders were also super friendly.

Yelp
I wish I could leave more stars. This place is so well thought out from the ingredients in each cocktail to the great staff and cozy ambiance. This is my go to spot in the neighborhood. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Yelp
Such a great find in this spot. Very chill and easy to order a good drink and connect with friends or perfect strangers. Also a great compliment to the neighboring restaurants. One of my favorite places.

Yelp
Where do I even begin? My wife and I came to Bay 6 to enjoy a nice dinner and a couple of drinks. What we weren't expecting was an experience unlike most around Nashville. We were greeted by Ben and Jordy (or maybe it was Jody?) who made our experience 10/10. They made Bay 6 a welcoming environment for locals and tourists alike. We laughed, we cried, we learned valuable lessons about self worth and the metabolism of small baby tortoises. The drinks were delicious and cold, but not as cold as Armani, who we learned has been stringing one of the other patrons along for a year now. It's ok; she's going to therapy now. #Queen #selfcare. We had an exceptional time at Bay 6 and will be back!

Yelp
Came here on a Thursday night not expecting much, but ended up staying for a few hours! What a cool little spot in east Nashville and can add to my favorites list. The people that run this place AND the people that come here are pretty awesome - such a lively atmosphere in a tiny space. The cocktails are delicious, service is great, and they even have a good food menu. Will be back!

Ilex P.

Yelp
The service and drinks were great! I can't wait to bring my friends back again soon.

Yelp
Visiting family and found this place on Yelp. It's a must destination for a refreshing, and yummy treat. The owner/bartender was also super friendly and helpful for giving local recommendations. Had a wonderful time, give it a try!

Janet S.

Yelp
We happened to did this place on a random google search for drinks and gave it a try. It is part of a linear group of restaurants, and this one is in the last bay. There is not much seating inside, but there is a little more outside on a shared patio. The vibe of this place was great, they have taken care to provide an intimate cocktail experience. The drinks were thoughtfully and skillfully made and tasted great.

Rita I.

Yelp
Such a cool place! Very comfortable atmosphere. Beau (the operating partner) is so hospitable & a genuinely nice guy. Had a unique & delicious glass of wine & can't wait to go back for a cocktail (or two)

Emma W.

Yelp
Amazing drinks & even better vibe! The staff was wonderful & it's in a super convenient location. This would be a great place to start a night out! My friends and I will definitely come back.

Cameron B.

Yelp
Favorite place to drink in Nashville. Relaxed/intimate vibe, inventive drinks, and welcoming staff. Proves that you don't have to have a stuffy atmosphere to have great cocktails. Be prepared to talk to strangers!

Kylie G.

Yelp
Came here on night #1 and WOW was it a great experience. Beau and Caroline were so friendly and accommodating, but whole experience was the best in Nashville I've had so far. I'm all about atmosphere and this place checks all my boxes: small business/local, well designed interior, purse hooks, plenty of outdoor seating, and thoughtful delicious cocktails! Can't wait to make this my regular spot. Well done Bay 6 & The Wash.

Abbie D.

Yelp
Bo is the GOAT! I didn't know what I wanted to drink but HE knew what I wanted to drink! 10/10 recommend

Yelp
My sister and I were looking for a cozy place to have a drink or two while visiting Nashville. We wanted someplace reasonably quiet and were not looking for live music. This bar is very tiny but serves up some amazing mixed drinks, or wine and beer if you prefer. I ended up having two handmade, extremely creative cocktails, one made with Trakal, concord grape and egg-white; the other was made with tequila, pumpkin, coconut and a variety of spices. The bartender was full of helpful advice (like explaining what Trakal is!) While they have many creative cocktails, you can get a straight forward margarita or Moscow mule here too. The place itself literally only has about eight seats and tiny little cocktail tables. You definitely will end up talking to the friendly bartender a bit. With that said, my sister and I were left to ourselves to chat and just have a nice quiet drink before retiring for the night. The music is a bit on the loud side (no quiet jazz), but I expect the bartender would have turned it down had we asked. The bar itself is in a complex with five other businesses. So, even if the complex looks closed, go and take a look, and this bar is probably open. I'd definitely return if back in Nashville.

Libbie S.

Yelp
Excellent and unique cocktails and great vibe. Bring your friends here! 10/10 would recommend.

Michelle A.

Yelp
Every cocktail I've had here is well balanced and delicious. Bay 6 is a hidden gem and a must visit place when in Nashville!

Shanna F.

Yelp
If you're looking for an awesome environment, talented bartenders, and a unique selection of alcohol- this is the place. The bartenders are beyond amazing and the space is very welcoming. Highly recommend for a first date spot or evening cocktail!

Michael G.

Yelp
We held a private birthday party in December but shortly after had a death in the family that side tracked me from writing a review.  I am finally getting back to it because I want to be sure I tell one and all HOW GREAT OUR EVENING WAS AT BAY 6!  We are a group of 12 (almost) 50 year olds and Bay 6 was a perfect venue for our 'framily' celebration.  It's one thing to go to a bar as a group.  It's completely another thing to have the whole bar to yourself.  We picked the music, they provided the bar and the space.  It was incredible.  The Bartenders, Carol and Tone really set the mood and helped us to enjoy ourselves from the moment we arrived.  Always attentive and working hard, they made an effort to get to know us while we were there.  They also mixed GREAT alcoholic AND nonalcoholic drinks. The cocktails were a tasting adventure.  There is a menu to order from but they are experts with great spirits and fresh fruit to make you anything you want and made recommendations based on our varied tastes.  We also brought in a catered dinner from Eastside Pho next door.  The combination made for a wonderful evening we were all talking about a month later.  The space may not seem big if you pop by and it isn't but that is what makes it so special.  Our group of 12 was comfortable and the close quarters only made it more lively and fun.  Overall, I can't recommend Bay 6 enough for a private party.  We will be back. Thank you Beau for making it easy and mostly for making it memorable.
