We really enjoyed our night at the Bay Breeze and the watershed. We checked in and went up to the cozy room with a huge king sized bed. We freshened up a bit and then headed downstairs for an amazing dinner with a terrific singer/pianist. The live music made it so magical. The burgers were fantastic!!! ||The Jamesport room was lovely and spacious. The bathroom was immaculate. There was a coffee machine right outside the door of our room. ||The location was my favorite part. You are right at the beginning of the Long Island wine trail. We cruised up to Main Road and stopped at Paumanok on our way home. ||I would highly recommend the Bay Breeze. The staff was wonderful. It’s a really quaint family operated place. I can’t say enough. Book a night or two over there.

The Bay Breeze Inn in South Jamesport is a true gem. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, delivering 10/10 service from start to finish. The location is ideal, just steps from the beach and a quick drive to some of the best vineyards on the North Fork. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, making it the perfect base for a relaxing getaway.

I stayed for one night at the Bay Breeze Inn the weekend of November 9th 2024 to celebrate a friend's birthday! We were a group of 6 and we had the best time. The Inn is beautiful and the location was perfect (next to the Peconic Bay). In the morning we took a stroll to the bay and it was the perfect ending to the trip. The bedrooms were immaculate, very clean, the beds were super comfortable and the rooms are nicely decorated. We had the birthday dinner at the Watershed Kitchen and Bar and it was also fantastic. The food was great, the drinks were delicious and service was outstanding. They had live music and a really nice ambiance at the bar. Thank you to the owner and the entire staff for making our weekend special. We look forward to coming back to this little gem in the North Fork.

We’ve stayed at the inn before and will again. It’s in a good location not far from the wineries and there’s a small beach nearby. The room was cozy clean and comfortable and met our needs. The shower worked well although bathroom could be tweaked a little. The restaurant and bar can get pretty lively so you if you’re very noise sensitive this may matter but we were fine with it. There was a small coffee/tea station set up outside of the rooms but no breakfast basket provided and the restaurant wasn’t serving breakfast during the week so plan to go offsite for breakfast. Overall pleasant stay.

Our first day and night (a Tuesday) were very pleasant. We relaxed, had lunch and read on wicker chairs on the porch. Wednesday was not the same. Loud music played everywhere, inside and out. Because we were the only people on the porch we requested it be lowered, but it was back on after a short time. When we went to bed, the noise and music from the bar and restaurant prevented us from sleeping. Voicemail was full every time I tried to call. We left at 9 am the next morning, without a single employee present at the place. I finally got through later and was told the bar is noisy, and there is no checkout. I don’t know what guests are expected to do alone in the inn overnight.

Google
What a gem of a place this is! can’t say enough good things about the restaurant and the hospitality that the Inn has to offer. The owners; Patricia and James, are such welcoming people, that from the moment you enter the premises, you feel at home.|Conveniently located in the hearth of wine country, this should be a must stop of whoever is heading to the north fork of Long Island.

Google
Wonderful getaway place off season. The Bay Breeze Inn is a GREAT place for a quick getaway. The accommodations are comfortable and the staff is exceptional. Do have dinner in the attached restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious. Loved the sunrise over the Bay. Quiet, close to the beach. The pictured room is where we stayed... perfect view of the bay... can't wait to visit in the spring or earlier in the fall to enjoy the outside areas. Will definitely stop by in the summer for dinner or lunch.

Google
It's always a great time at the Bay Breeze! Spend a few days exploring the North Fork while enjoying their quaint atmosphere. The rooms are very well appointed, and there aren't so many rooms where you feel crowded. During the summer, it's a quick walk to the beach across the street. At night, enjoy the outdoor seating and fire pit. The bar attracts a great crowd, and we find the restaurant food to be top-notch. Overall, it's a place we love to stay for a quick local getaway.

Yelp
James and Patti are the consummate hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our 50th Anniversary family dinner. Drinks, food and service were outstanding. Thanks for making our day not only enjoyable but memorable as well!

Yelp
8/12/23 We stopped there for lunch coming from a winery a party of six We were on the cusp of Dinner time, The waitress asked permission from the kitchen if we could be served the lunch menu. It was granted We were all so grateful, but most of all the food is amazing! Best burgers ever! The service and staff are friendly and top notch! Looking forward to go for dinner next time!

Yelp
We stumbled upon this seaside village gem, quite by chance & so glad we did. We lucked out & stayed in one half of their 1 bdrm cottage with our little dog. Patty was so sweet & made us feel right at home as she walked us to our room. The room was charming & spotless. We decided to try their onsite bar & grill last minute and were blown away. First of all the service is BEAUTIFUL. We walked into the bar area with our Puggle & James was there to greet us & offer us a cocktail on their inviting front porch while we waited for a table outside so we could eat with our dog. He even carried our dog down for us. We shared the Tomahawk steak for two, enjoyed craft signature cocktails followed by red wine. Everything was excellent, but I must say I was most impressed with the creamed spinach which was more subtle & delicate than what you typically get at as a steak side. After a beautiful walk along the water we had a blissful sleep & enjoyed another amazing meal at their delicious bottomless brunch. We will DEFINITELY be back!

Yelp
We had a delightful dinner at this very special place last night. Surrounded by water views and walk to beaches, this charming inn boasts of a cozy restaurant, bar and outdoor seating with live music. Food was excellent, seafood very fresh. Service was A-1. Owners were very welcoming and open to constructive comments. Because of low ceilings and being an older home, it can get noisy when it's crowded. Otherwise- an excellent experience!

Yelp
This was the perfect place to stay while attending a wedding this past weekend. We stayed in the Greenport room and though I knew we picked the smallest of the rooms, the bed was perfectly comfortable, room was completely sparkling clean, and it had everything we needed. We weren't feeling too well the next morning after the wedding but having a comfortable and quiet room made a big difference. A real game changer having access to water and tea, conveniently located in the hallway right outside our room. After check out we had the best little brunch downstairs at the restaurant. All the staff we encountered were lovely and very accommodating. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Our New Year's Eve plans changed last minute and while looking for something else to do we came across an advertisement for this restaurant and booked a reservation the day prior. There was no indication on the event promotion or on the website that it was prix fixe. We were shocked to find it was $85pp. There was a choice of only 2 appetizers one of which was scallops and we do not eat shellfish. Our son did not eat his burrata and they were kind enough to bring out a house salad for him instead. Main entrees were all good; average size portions. The only dessert was cheesecake which was pastry size; not even a slice. The entire staff was ultra friendly but we really felt blindsided not expecting to spend close to $500 on dinner for four that really shouldn't have been more than $60-65pp with it being a holiday. Would suggest advertising prix fixe going forward and offering more options than just 2 appetizers & 1 dessert.

Yelp
love it ! hidden gem ! Greg at the bar is super ! makes an amazing spicy martini! we enjoyed everything on the appetizer menu ! def need to go back for a nice cozy dinner in the dining room

Yelp
The hospitality was better than one would expect for a small B&B. The old house was refurbished very nicely. The food was so good we didn't feel the need to go anywhere else during our 2 night stay on Columbus day weekend. They also kept us entertained with live music and a cozy outdoor fire pit. Definitely a great, reasonably priced, place to stay if you're looking to go out east and do some wine touring.

Christa a.

Yelp
Absurdly loud bar that reverberates through all the rooms until well past 11. Switching hotels.
google avatar

Chris M.

Yelp
I did not eat there. I only stayed there one night. Never again. Who knew that the downstairs bar/deck/restaurant would be open until midnight? Had to get up very early in the morning and it was impossible to sleep with people outside making a very loud noises. Talk about debauchery!

Daniel O.

Yelp
I cannot say enough about this gem of a place. I want to personally thank James and Patty for an awesome stay to celebrate my birthday. Your staff, especially Brenda, are absolutely amazing. If you are visiting The North Fork of Long Island the Inn and their adjoining restaurant are a must!! They will not disappoint. Until the next time - cheers to you all.

Yelp
This little B&B is a great gem found in the small town of Jamesport. Walking into the bistro you feel a combination of classy but comfortable. Lovely decor. Friendly staff and terrific food made the drive out to the east end worth it. The crabcake Benedict was yummy yo go along with various potatoes that are equally colorful as tasty. My father in law enjoyed the berry infused French toast...he gave it a thumbs up My mother in law enjoyed the traditional eggs Benedict. Overall we will be coming back.

Yelp
Just had breakfast with my parents and kids at the Bay Breeze Inn. We had heard rumors Santa might be passing through. What a cute place! Near the water with a park across the street. Plenty of parking available. The decorations were beautiful. The hosts and wait staff were all in Holiday attire with big smiles. They seemed excited for Santa as well. The waitress was excellent, got everything correct. The food came out fast, hot and delicious. We had pancakes, waffles and omelettes. My daughter had to go to the bathroom 32 times and the bathrooms were immaculate. As we were paying the check, we hear a commotion on the roof. An excitement took over the room with whispers of Santa's arrival. He greeted everyone and took a seat near the beautiful Christmas tree in the main room. All the kids got to sit with Santa and the establishment took pictures they will send to our Email. A VERY fun Sunday brunch with great food in a charming restaurant. I highly recommend. I can only imagine how nice it is in the Spring/Summer so close to the water. 10 out of 10

Yelp
Awesome menu and super quality cuisine. You couldn't ask for more. We will certainly be returning and try something different from their great selections.

Yelp
This one time favorite for breakfast and lunch changed their name by adding chophouse and changed their menu. What a disappointment the new menu is. A few of my favorites were no longer offered. What was on the lunch menu leaves a lot to be desired. My companion enjoyed her clam chowder although it had to be returned for heating as it was too cool. A four star item for her. I ordered a NoFo frittata. Can't believe how dry it was and no creative thought in putting the various ingredients together. It was downright awful. The people seated at the adjacent table had complaints too. Chicken dish was very dissatisfying, over cooked. The wait server was sympathetic and felt the chef was not having a good day. Too many complaints? The executive chef was not there?? I will not return, I removed from my places of enjoyment. In the Riverhead area there are many restaurants but not all are good. So yelp fans check carefully.

Yelp
I rented out every room for my bridal party for the weekend of my wedding and we also had our rehearsal dinner at the Watershed. First off the rooms were perfect for my bridal party and everything was clean and comfortable! The service that Patty and her team provided us to make sure our weekend was the best weekend possible was unbelievable. Second, the food at the rehearsal dinner was SO GOOD. Everyone was thrilled with their meal and drinks and the bar tenders felt like long lost friends hanging out with us all weekend. They truly helped make the weekend perfect for us!!

Yelp
Something has changed and not for the good. My family and I have eaten here many times over the past 2 years. We have historically enjoyed the food, staff and atmosphere. However, the menu changed a couple of months ago. I have eaten here 3 times recently and been very disappointed. Food served with multiple missing menu items, watery shrimp wraps and over priced/under delivered yogurt parfait. Please revisit the recent changes, they are not working. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars are for the lovely waitresses that have to work so hard to satisfy their customers.

Yelp
Great location! Charming setting right neat the beach. Plenty of parking. Options to dine on the front porch, back deck or Chop House dining room leaves lots of options for perfect settings. We have very much enjoyed Sunday brunches here! Check for daily specials, such as Prime Rib Thursday ($35 includes a glass of beer or wine, and a huge salad). One tip - be very specific how you want your meet cooked. We thought we were pretty clear, yet one of us was a little disappointed - and we ordered our meat the same way. Our server was courteous, and personable.

Yelp
I was looking for a place where my wife and I could really be relax and well taken care of, as soon as we walked in to this wonderful location we felt welcomed and with great peace of mind that after such long trip our expectations were to be met. The service is very personal, the staff is friendly , professional and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and relaxed, the food is great, they even have a breakfast signature dish from a 5 star restaurant resort I visited in Punta Cana. They are just few blocks away from the water to make the experience even better. If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay and eat , I highly recommend Bay Breeze inn and restaurant!!

Yelp
I don't even know where to begin. The place overall is beautiful, great interior but oh my god. This place had some of the worst service I've ever had. I don't know if the server we had was new or what, but I'm honestly so disappointed. Once we were seated it took almost 20 minutes to even get water, which we had to ask for. Afterwards, one of the couples in our party ordered wine, and had to change the order due to lack of knowledge of the selection. We ordered steaks as well as appetizers and the steaks we ordered were not cooked all the way through. After eating the food, which overall was not bad at all, I enjoyed the food, we were up charged on our bill. I am not pleased at all by the service, the food was fine, and the up charge was not okay at all. Don't come here unless you want bad service & to spend more money than you want.

Yelp
Set on a quiet little street in James port LI one block from the bay, this lovely spot is good for a date, a friends dinner or even the entire family, kids and all. Welcoming host upon entering, with some nice live music in the front room. The menu is extensive and was well explained by the Maitre'D. My husband had the Osso Bucco, which he loved and I had the Mac and cheese with cauliflower, bacon, Boursin and cave aged cheddar- this is a side dish however it is GIGANTIC. Very tasty but could've used more cauliflower and less noodles. Two great house drinks to start made with tequila and bitters. Pleasant service as well.

Allison P.

Yelp
NEVER DISAPPOINTS! Just ended another lovely stay at this wonderful little hideaway on our beloved North Fork. We had an issue with the AC in our room upon check in, and were immediately upgraded without question. Alisha was so kind and helpful. Already planning our next trip. Thank you for the memories, Jamesport Inn!
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent food. I had the chance to go there for a Valentine's dinner with friends, and it was absolutely marvelous. The Chef Nick, was kind and friendly as well as all the staff. The chef created a very elaborated menu with a high standard test for the specials and for the everyday menu. Definitely fine dining. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Here for a wedding weekend, and the Bay Breeze was booked for us. Needless to say I had no expectations for the weekend. The place is great, really. Clean comfortable rooms with your own small bathroom, big enough to get the job done. Now the idea of having a full bar and restaurant down stairs from your room is either the work or a service genius or a nefarious super villain. I loved it! Drink before bed, bloody Maria in the morning, etc, etc, and a couple more etc.... Breakfast was great, walking ( 50 yards) to the beach, very private. Nice people all around. And here is the kicker.... gluten free bread and an understanding of gluten free lifestyle and celiacs.

Yelp
We stayed at the cottage with our friends over the weekend. Really loved how close it was to the beach and how quiet it is. We were disappointed by the AC and the polyester bedsheets the first night. We just couldn't sleep in them, they felt like plastic. And you don't expect to get polyester sheets on the $450/a night hotel room. Also the AC kept setting the temperature to 81 and we woke up several times to change it back to 73. But once I asked the front desk int he morning, they changed the sheets to cotton ones. The second night was much more pleasant! They were kind enough to let us bring our dog to stay with us at the cottage. The main inn isn't pet or kid friendly, but the cottage is. There's also a lot of cool things to do nearby. Definitely dine at North Fork Table and Inn, amazing food. We also loved Jedediah Hawkins Inn restaurant. The chef used to cook for Clintons. Also do wine tasting, olive oil tasting, chocolate tasting, ice cream tasting. Lots of fun options!
google avatar

Chris M.

Yelp
Had Sunday Reservations for 6. Started outside on deck with music and raw bar, followed by dinner inside. Our server Danielle was pleasant, attentive and thorough. We had salads, steaks, seafood, brussel sprouts and no room for dessert. The only disappointment was the Tomahawk steak, which should have been presented on the bone. Other than that everything was delicious and plentiful. Enjoy!
google avatar

Yelp
Omg! Just had the most amazing prime rib dinner special at the bar- with the absolute best bartender on the North Fork. What a little gem of a restaurant tucked into such a prime location in the quaint seaside town of Jamesport. Atmosphere is amazing- Service is great, ambience, music... all terrific but wait... the FOOD... absolutely to die for!!! Can't wait to come back. Thanks G! You're the best!!!

Joan C.

Yelp
It was good. Was it great? No. Very, very expensive for what it was. Service not top notch. Wereseated in the bar when we had reservations for dining room. The hostess who turned out to be the bartender told us she wanted us to sit there to keep her company. Ok however her attention to our table fell right over the edge when the bar filled up. We started with a lobster cake. It was served over a lightly spiced creamed corn. Corn was excellent. Lobster cake had great potential however the flash fry turned into a slow and painful burn. I had the rib special and my husband had the filet with the gorgonzola cloud. Very good but no way was it prime meat and at those prices, it should have been. Dessert- boxed, frozen. Probably a Costco run. I wanted to love it. I liked it but they have a ways to go in food and service to warrant the price tag. Hopefully they work all this out

Yelp
Can't say enough about this place. The coziest, most unique, clean, accommodating little get away on the east end. What really makes it the place to be is the FOOD, the bar, and the beach that's within walking distance. Owners are always innovating new ideas (they just became a chophouse!) Read the menu and your mouth will start water.

Shelley N.

Yelp
Very disappointing, my husband ate their a couple of weeks ago he got a burger thought it was great. so we decided to try it for dinner apparently they "just" changed the menu (I guess for the summer crowd) no longer was the burger on the menu my husband asked a couple of times about the burger, server said it was no longer on menu mean while two tables over they were asking about the burger not on the menu and their server told them it wasn't on but they could get it!!!!!! So my husband went inside to check with someone else about getting the burger lo and behold the burger was available!! Not sure if it was a management problem or a server problem but clearly staff was not on the same page with menu options. I work in the restaurant business and was very disappointed at how this restaurant clearly lacked consideration for their clientele. South James port is a small tightly knit community and word of mouth goes a long way for any business in this area. It's not always about making money.
google avatar

Thomas P.

Yelp
One word. Ribeye. It's like a combination of Fergie and Jesus. All the food we had was phenomenal, I had the Ribeye, my fiancé had the Poke Bowl and both loved it. The thick cut bacon was spectacular and we shared the Yukon Gold mashed potatoes. We will definitely be coming back

Levi D.

Yelp
I just went there for Valentine's dinner and everything was amazing. The place had a nice atmosphere, the food was delicious, and the service outstanding. The Chef Nick, really put a nice thought on the creation of the menu, we left there really mesmerized with the food and its presentation.

Seth Michael S.

Yelp
My wife and I loved our stay at the Bay Breeze Inn! We've not been able to go away due to Covid concerns so we decided to stay locally and we were so happy that we did. The staff, the room, our view of the water and the Watershed Restaurant were all first rate. Also we were so close to the vineyards that we were able to spend se time at Paumanok and Bedell wineries. Will definitely return!

Liz A.

Yelp
The food is fantastic. The atmosphere is great Highly recommend The food recommended by the waitress was delicious. Everything we ate was delicious and the staff was very friendly and professional
google avatar

MaryBeth R.

Yelp
We love this place! We live in Jamesport and it is wonderful to be able to walk to a wonderful breakfast location and a fantastic happy hour. Have not had the opportunity for dinner; but their apps are so good you can make a meal out of them!
google avatar

Dolly A.

Yelp
This was a last minute dinner plan and it was close by which was great on such a busy weekend. We had to wait about a half an hour for the table however, they couldn't have been nicer and try to make us comfortable while we waited. The food was delicious and unique and service was great, Marcy was so sweet and accommodating we loved everything and it will be our new favorite restaurant. We suggest go early to beat the crowd.
google avatar

Brendan H.

Yelp
The Bay Breeze Inn is like an extension of your living and dining room. From the friendly faces to the top notch food and drink, you will fall in love with this cozy spot in South Jamesport. They're great with families/kids and the owners are also winemakers with some of the best bottles on the North Fork (try the Scarola Mistura). Close to the beach, plenty of parking and with a playground across the street, it's hard to beat The Bay Breeze.
google avatar

Ann C.

Yelp
I have been to the Bay Breeze Bistro 5 times in two weeks, I can't get enough of this wonderful little gem of a restaurant. I'm going to try everything on the menu! Hearty portions and beautiful presentation. Wish I could give more then 5 Stars.

Drew K.

Yelp
So glad a place like the Bay Breeze was dropped into Jamesport. Great place to go with a group of people or even just one. The atmosphere is wonderful and the service is great. The breakfast options are unbelievable with some very trendy and interesting dishes. Pulled pork hash 12/10 I would recommend it.
google avatar

Vinnie S.

Yelp
I've been friends with Dave and Donna for a few years now. So, if my review sounds a little biased, well, then I'm sorry. First time having brunch at the Bay Breeze Bistro and the food was excellent. A fantastic steak sandwich cooked to perfection and covered with sautéed onions. Delicious! Poached eggs are their specialty and if you like them, you will not be disappointed. Even the French Toast Ice cream sandwich for dessert was excellent. Visit the Bay Breeze Bistro. You'll love it!

Mickey R.

Yelp
If you want a great dinner go to the salt an sea bistro here. The fried chicken sandwich was amazing. Burgers great. Last night my wife and I shared the fish and chips and the grilled cheese. We couldn't even finish it. Crazy amount of fries. That with 2 beers an 1 glass of wine. $58. We have our Friday place.
google avatar

Sara C.

Yelp
We stayed at the inn over Labor Day weekend and I was blown away by the charm and comfort offered! The location can't be beat and we were treated to exceptional sunrises/sets right on the water. I may have fallen in love with the wrap around porch!

Jim B.

Yelp
My wife and I went here on the recommendation of Matt from the Jamesport Vineyards. What a wonderful experience. We had the 33 ounce tomahawk steak for two. They actually can cook it to two temperatures, and each half was perfect. We also had the Mac and cheese which was incredible and could serve four people! Top it off with a glass of Cabernet Franc from the aforementioned vineyard and incredible personal service and conversation from the manager and staff made for a wonderful evening. Highly recommended!

James K.

Yelp
The waitress was attentive & she had a pleasantly friendly demeanor. After ordering our drinks & appetizers, we set our sights on the entrees that were soon to become some of the best dishes we've ever tasted! All four of us were blown away! The Mussels Broth (fennel, tomato brodo) insisted that you sop every drop of it with the crusty Country Bread provided. The Rhode Island Style Fried Calamari and The Asian Meatballs with Creamy Cilantro Dip were an explosion of eclectic flavors. Loved these! The made-from-scratch Linguine/Crab dish was simply 'melt in your mouth'! The Short Rib dish was also quite delicious. Then we ordered a Whale of a Pretzel for the ride home! Great drinks, out of this world food, friendly, helpful service. This place is really special. Just one block from the beach in a beautiful Long Island setting. Chef Allison Fasano has put together one outstanding menu...and we still have plenty more dishes to try on our next visit. Looking forward to our 3rd dining experience coming up soon before this summer's end. Life is always more pleasant when you have found a place serving a menu this diverse & delicious. The Salt & Sea Bistro at The Bay Breeze Inn is a real Long Island gem!

Yelp
We did not stay at the inn but the food was amazing and the wait staff was so kind and helpful. The breakfast was so good with just the right portions. Would love to come back and stay at the inn as it looked new and immaculate.

Amy G.

Yelp
I recently brought my mom here for her birthday and it was great! we shared the cauliflower mac 'n cheese, roasted brussells sprouts and the French onion soup. All were so good and portions so large, my friends and I ate the leftovers for lunch for several days. I have been here three times recently and all were great, the atmosphere is so nice-right near the Peconic bay beach in Jamesport. It's a little taste of heaven on the North Fork.

Yelp
Great experience. Lunch was delicious. Staff very friendly. Decor is warm and welcoming. Looking forward to going back.

Lan M.

Yelp
Just stayed here for the weekend and was very happy with the sleeping accommodations and absolutely blown away by how great the food was!!! We had the opportunity to enjoy the breakfast, lunch and diner menus and they were inventive, very tasty and well priced. In fact, we had a dinner that , with a cocktail and wine, was off the chart good!! My significant other is a retired chef and I am an foodie from way back and we are not easily impressed. But Bay Breeze Inn did it!!
