We ordered birthday cupcakes and they were delicious. Also tried the breakfast sandwiches, empanadas, and of course the donuts. We loved everything we ate and would definitely recommend checking out this wonderful bakery ☺️

Our family has been looking at this place for literal years wanting to try it out (we usually leave for the beach too late and come home Sunday). We finally planned and left around 6 am on a Thursday to be able to stop here and it did not disappoint! The donuts themselves were soft on the inside with a slight crunch, the frosting was glossy and delicious, and the filling was perfectly smooth and not too sweet! We will be back!!

My husband got a Boston Cream long John and it was great. We shared a peach coffee ring and it was amazing also. I got a cream filled chocolate iced donut, but the white cream filling was an almond flavor which I did not enjoy. Service was great and there were many delicious options.

Cozy and fun atmosphere with knowledgeable, friendly service. Doughnuts are delicious. Dough is a little heavy, but best in the area for sure.

It's really the only place to buy doughnuts. The apple uglies are sold on Saturday only, but it's worth the extra stop. Always buy from here for conferences across the Bay in Baltimore. Everyone always asks me where I got the Doughnuts. I tell them on the best side of the Bridge in Cambridge.

I've had a chocolate glaze donut here and before had a HUGE Cinnabon. Both were delicious. Everything is baked fresh. Had a coffee from here before it's was okay. But overall a really good place

Big and fluffy donuts. Came here to eat something besides hotel food. They donuts are good and fresh. Get here early, or else the apple fritters will be all gone along with other local favorites.

Their Donuts are better than Dunkin' Donuts', but they are not the best donuts in the world; the best ones are from Lamar's Donuts. But the sandwiches, especially the croissant, I have ordered this sandwich many times before, and it keeps coming out more burnt. Try to cook the ham and egg and add the cheese towards the end, but do not burn the bread, as it takes away from the enjoyment of the croissant sandwich. Also, try not to use that much salt; it is okay to use black pepper and other condiments, but salt should be removed altogether, it is extremely salty.

Dates of visit: July 23 and 24, 2024 I'm going to write this review like this: THE BEST DONUTS IN THE WORLD!!! They were amazing. They are light and airy and flavorful and wonderful. We came back two mornings in a row while staying at a nearby resort. I'm kind of glad we are 4 hours away cause if they were closer to home, I'd be in big trouble!

The food was good. Everything was made from scratch and as cooked and baked fresh to order. The donuts were better than most bakeries I have been to and could rival some of the larger chains. The breakfast sandwich was delicious and made fresh. The service was fast and friendly on a busy morning. There was plenty of seating inside and we were able to find a table for a large group despite coming in at prime breakfast hours.

Definitely a neighborhood staple! This cute little shop has tooonss of options to choose from for donuts, pastries, sandwiches, and drinks. The line was consistently in-coming, but it moves fast. FOOD AND DRINK: ~Iced Americano (5/5): very good! Not watered down, and bold flavor ~Blueberry Crumb Donut (2.5/5): flavor was okay, but was too dry ~Cinnamon roll with cream cheese frosting (4.5/5): This thing was ginormous! And for how large it was, the inside was baked all the way through. It was so light and fluffy and flavorful! Just wish there was more cinnamon sugar flavor ~Sausage and egg breakfast sandwich (3/5): standard breakfast sandwich Would def come back for the cinnamon rolls and to try their other goodies!

Incredible. From the food to the service. You won't find better donuts. They stay moist and fresh for a surprisingly long time as well. The taste is incredible and they make gourmet donuts every day. I'll be frequenting this place much more often now that I know about it. I only wish I knew about this place sooner! 5 stars!

This place is great, except when it isn't. These are fresh-made donuts in a locally owned shop. I'd love to give it 5-stars, but one thing is holding me back... and I believe that thing is almond extract. All the donuts are great here except the ones with white creme filling. That filling is made with what I believe is almond extract and it leaves the strangest aftertaste. Change that to vanilla extract, and this place is 5-stars all day.

What a little gem !!!! This place serves some of the best donuts I've ever had! We came early one Saturday morning for some goodies and man were they busy! Even so, the service was great even with the morning rush. We got a dozen donuts for a great price and let me tell you, these things were no joke. Super fluffy and delicious. They also have VARIOUS different flavors and types. If you're in the area it's a must have !!!

Best bakery in the Easton/St. Michaels/Cambridge area! Apple fritters only on Fridays and Saturdays. Huge cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting-very good dough texture. Plus all of the normal doughnut types. About $19 a dozed for the standard ones. Pleasant staff, clean restaurant. Only negative is the parking lot currently has a lot of potholes, but I'd still repeat the visit.

We were in Cambridge, MD for a wedding and visited Bay Country Bakery & Cafe multiple times! The breakfast sandwiches were delicious, the donuts (especially the pumpkin maple and regular glazed!) were awesome, the espresso was pretty good, and the service was outstanding! I only wish they were open later in the day (they close at 1pm) and on Sundays, so we could have visited more often!

Come early come as soon as you can This cute little bakery and cafe has a really fun giant donut mural on the side, so don't miss out on an IG worthy selfie sesh! But most importantly, the goods. We tried their donuts, some were yeast and they also have cake donuts, their giant cinnamon rolls, their blueberry pastry ring and my all time favorite, their giant block of coffee crumble cake. Their coffee crumble cake definitely wins my heart! It is delicious, cinnamony, and the crumble to cake ratio is quite overwhelming but you won't be disappointed. It is stacked high, and I actually think that the cake is a pound cake type of consistency which gave the pastry and extra creamy and soft texture - which was an excellent contrast to the crumbly and quite crunchy brown sugar crumble top! The donuts and other pastries were good, worth a try and has good icing flavors and fillings. If you don't get anything else at this cafe and bakery, do yourself a favor and don't think about it - just go for their coffee cake! It lasted us 3 days because it is huge and also giant in flavor and yum!

The workers were so sweet and the donuts were absolutely delicious, will always stop here!!!

Jackpot. I finally found THE best place for breakfast in this area. I love the breakfast sandwiches, the atmosphere and the staff are all just outstanding. The prices are also very reasonable. We are so happy to find the gem in Cambridge/DoCo.

The pastries were good, but service was appalling. The person helping us with our order was practically hostile. Would have given them a zero star had that been an option.

Doughnuts. DOOOOOGHNUTS! I drove 40 minutes on Saturday to eat here and was not disappointed. I ordered a cinnamon dusted doughnut, a sour cream glazed, and a cheese danish. Really, really nice; full of flavor, with a nice crumb and not too sweet. The danish was flaky, with a nice cheese filling (which was a little too little, bringing the overall rating down a bit). Worth the trip!

Awesome donuts and cinnamon rolls. Stopped by on the way to Ocean City and grabbed a sour cream donut and a cream cheese cinnamon roll. Both were some of the best baked goods I've ever had! I have eaten my fair share of donuts and tend to find the best shops on my travels. I actually saw this shop on the side of the road and made a mental note that I needed to go to the next time I passed by. So glad I did! Would definitely stop by again.

My family has stayed at the Hyatt several times, but this is the first time that I discovered Bay Country Bakery. The donut are fresh daily and delicious. I also had an in-season peach dessert, which was fabulous. We will definitely be coming back the next time we are in town!!

We dropped by this cute little bakery on our way to Ocean City and they sell the biggest donut i have ever seen! OMG they are really huge and they taste really good. We ended up getting the Vanilla frosting with rainbow sprinkles but they have other choices too like chocolate and peanut butter as far as i know, but you can always ask as they cater requests according to its availability. They close at 1PM everyday so might as well head there early. They have coffee, pastries and sandwiches but couldn't vouch for the taste as we didnt buy any of them except for the Mega donut. And if you decide to get the mega donut, i would suggest to call ahead. The staff there are all nice and accommodating. Will be back for sure!

We stopped by here on our way to Stevensville because of the raving reviews. I got the custard filled and the almond danish ring. My husband got the glazed. We're Krispie Kreme donut fans so it's hard to find one that beats their donuts and this one does not. The donut was good and light but nothing spectacular. I would probably rate the donut 3 stars. The reason I'm giving this donut shop 4 stars is because is the almond danish ring. OMG it was so good! So much flavor and a perfect balance of cream cheese, almond and glaze. I will definitely have cravings of that almond danish in the future. There's also a cute donut wall on the side of the building.

A great little bakery that we stumbled on, thanks to the reviews here. Great food, that was really fresh and delicious! Awesome customer service experience too!! Will definitely come back!!

Don't waste your time trying to call this bakery to put in a Birthday order, they WILL NOT PICK UP. Been trying for a couple days and all it does is ring.

Whoever decided to put the doughnut on the roof is a genius. We stopped here just because we saw that but didn't expect it to be such a treat inside. This bakery is absolutely delicious. We got some glazed doughnuts and cinnamons rolls in addition to the coffee. I wish I could've gotten one of everything to try. The dough for the doughnut is light and airy and is so fresh. They were melt in your mouth doughnuts, not heavy and doughy. The cinnamon bun was delicious as well, they used the same dough as the doughnuts. The place was packed with lots of locals and the people working there were extremely nice. I'd like to go back and some of their danishes. What a great stop.

We love this place. BUT the hours on the website are wrong. They are not open on Monday after Easter. Maybe they are open on other Mondays. Maybe call before to verify they are open. We still love this place but have not visited since the Covid mess.

I just went there for donuts to go after reading some of their reviews and I was not disappointed! Not only did they have an excellent choice they had German chocolate brownies omg fabulous and the young gal that helped me was lovely.

Didn't expect to find this awesome bakery out here in Rural Maryland. OMG the doughnuts are fantastic. I had an Old Fashion (plain cake doughnut) and my wife had a raised glazed, both were YYYUUUMMM!!! They also have coffee and chai, breakfast sandwiches, and a very quaint sit down area. Free WiFi with password posted on the wall. If we lived here, we would gain 20 pounds, this place is dangerously delicious!!!

Bay Country Bakery has the BEST DOUGHNUTS!!! Owned by Dave and Gena Levy, this bakery has been around since '99 and offers specialty cakes, cookies, cupcakes, breads, pies, and even breakfast and lunch options. They also had a giant-sized doughnut! :P While driving on Ocean Gateway, it is hard not to stop by a place that has a big chocolate glazed sprinkled doughnut mounted on top of it! Walking in, this bakery was super spacious with plenty of tables and chairs. There was a little line, but the staff here are super friendly, patient, and really efficient. I ordered an Oatmeal Raisin cookie (nice and chewy, with tons of oats and a good amount of raisins), a Sour Cream Old Fashioned (beautiful glaze, dense, and delicious), a regular glazed (super fluffy, airy, and perfectly glazed), a French cruller (super fluffy, airy, perfectly glazed, and probably the best French cruller I've had ever!), one of their donuts of the day, the 'Strawberry Lemon' (topped with a strawberry glaze and some shortcake crispies, and filled with a lemon curd - this was absolutely DELICIOUS! Not too sweet, but had the right amount of tartness, I loved the crispy bits - yum yum YUM!). Ms. Dreama was super awesome and oh-so-sweet, and she knew how to pack those donuts in the bag where they kept their shape and were not smushed at all by transport! A wonderful place to grab some treats to-go or enjoy some refreshments - definitely stop on by this great local spot! Bay country bakery made a fantastic volcano cake for my son's birthday while we were in town for vacation. The cake looked fantastic and tasted amazing! Everyone raved about it. We also enjoyed their yummy donuts while we were there! Thank you bay country for my son's dream birthday cake!

What a fantastic gem on the eastern shore! Locally owned, with fresh baked goods that are made right on the spot! a selection of fantastic donuts, pies, cakes, pastries, fresh bread, breakfast... you kind of want to be there every morning (and when you are able to shut up that stupid voice in your head that talks about clean eating you might!). Seriously - why there is even a dunkin donut in town and still survives is a mystery to me. THIS here is the place to be and eat.

Amazing breakfast sandwiches, you have to try the steak sandwich with the butter bun! Large selection of donuts and pastries, we tried an assortment and all were delicious. Nice seating area inside, very clean and friendly environment.

While I love stopping at this bakery and really think their donuts are so amazing, I was a bit surprised at the demeanor of the girls working here one Wednesday morning. There was one woman being helped by one of the girls. I stood next to this woman and was waiting patiently, when I noticed four girls standing behind the taller pastry counter chatting. One of them actually turned around, made eye contact with me, and proceeded to take a sample of bread they had sitting on the counter and went back behind the larger case to eat it...all while I am standing there waiting to buy some donuts! After several minutes went by, one of the four girls that were chatting behind the larger case finally decided to help me. While I love the donuts here, I will most likely continue to visit, despite this experience, and hope it does not happen again. I don't mind that the girls were talking with each other, but when there are customers present, that should be the priority, not eating samples and chatting with coworkers!

Incredible pastries (huge apple walnut croissant shaped as a muffin and perfect melted in your mouth with the right amount of crispiness almond croissant) and average coffee at a fair price at this kid-friendly and popular bakery! You can eat on the premises on clean tables for free or have your order to go. The cleanliness of the women bathroom was ok. The men's ones were clean. It was easy and free to park.

For donuts/pastries ONLY this is the place to stop. I don't advise getting any type of breakfast sandwich as it is mostly bread and very very little meat. On top of that it isn't even very good. But of course their donuts are great and fresh. The only other thing I can say is the attitudes of some of the girls working behind the counter. Not a single smile to us ( which is something you expect to see when buying breakfast on a Saturday morning ) and very unorganized. Buy the donuts!

Really clean really nice staff I went in yesterday with my girlfriend and we got two special donuts and a half dozen donuts and I'm telling you right now I didn't even get to doing it out of the six so that tells you how good it is but really nice really clean atmosphere check it out

Delicious donuts and the breakfast sandwiches were good too. Clearly a favorite for locals as well as visitors based on the constant flow of people coming in. My son has a peanut allergy and some of the donuts are topped with peanuts. But an employee told us that the donuts are all made without peanuts and it's only once they are decorated/topped that peanuts are added to a few varieties.

Been goin here since I was a child with my grandfather every morning before school and work back when they were in the shopping center where the old acme was..... always the freshest donuts Great customer service always very clean building no complaints at all of this wonderful bakery!

We were visiting the area and called (11am) to see if they had baked goods such as danish and cupcakes for kids to walk-in and choose. They said they had no cupcakes, and a few slices of loaf cake, doughnuts and sticky rolls available. We went anyway and it's kind of a dirty feeling place, with a mop and bucket leaning on the front of the display case, and a few flies buzzing around. They did have cupcakes, and we got some, as well as some muffins and doughnuts from the nice young lady working there. They were okay.

The very best doughnuts I've ever had. Personal favorites are powdered sugar and chocolate. This place is a Cambridge local favorite.

You won't find better doughnuts on the Eastern Shore. The maple glazed are my favorite. They also have really awesome bread and sandwiches.

Tasty donuts and big meganuts. Donuts were amazing and the service was the best around. Breakfast sandwiches are also cooked to perfection.

So we ordered their Meganut and it was amazing! nice and soft inside. I was a little hesitant ordering donuts that big because usually it would compromise the flavor but NOPE. It was good and it was a hit at our event. Next time I come back here, I would def. try their lunch menu since it looks good but I would def. order their donuts again!

On Tuesdays, I go to the Camden Avenue Farmers Market . I recently purchased a cheese Danish with almonds at the market and shared with my co-workers this made from scratch sinful delight. Let me tell you....EVERYONE that tasted this pastry wanted to know ," Where did you get this."? So I had to find out who this vendor was. Long story short. I went back to the Camden Market and Bay Country Bakery wasn't there....so I drove to Cambridge just to get a cheese Danish for me and my friend. Yes, its that good. As I drove home my entire truck was consumed with the smell of this Danish. This is the best almond cheese Danish I have ever had!!!!

Cute little place in the area for a desert or breakfast sandwich. We had an egg sandwich and a glazed donut. It was good. Contrary to what all the other reviews say, I cannot say it was amazing or delicious. It was just good. Hit the spot but basically because there is nothing else around this area to get food. Lol Looking back, you can get a better donut at Dunkin' Donuts and even a better breakfast sandwich. I'd say the only real reason to go here is to experience a quiet, cute little local spot.

These are the best donuts on this side of Heaven. If you're ever traveling to the Eastern Shore please stop by it's right past the Walmart in Cambridge, Maryland. The donuts are fresh as fresh can be and they are huge! I would have given them five stars but because I'm a Country Girl I got a scrapple sandwich and it was not good at all. They were very skimpy on the sandwich and the sandwich almost cost $6. It was sliced very thin I asked for grape jelly on my sandwich and I didn't get it and that sandwich needed all the help it could get so I definitely needed the grape jelly. And that the price for the sandwich I could have purchased 3 lb of scrapple from the grocery store. So I expect at least a thick slice of scrapple on my sandwich. Other than that the pastries were great. I would definitely go there for pastries but I would definitely second-guess skinning a sandwich.

0/5 stars. I just want to make everyone aware of how terrible this company's organization is. They were suppose to provide donuts and cupcakes for a wedding I was in yesterday. They FORGOT to deliver the donuts, they were called numerous of times with no answer. Supposedly they thought the wedding was today (Saturday) but clearly the contract the couple signed says the 18th. They were issued a full refund and they offered to pay for the other donuts that the wedding coordinator had to go run and get. And I was told they were nice and apologetic but as they should be. This is the last thing a bride should have to worry about. I'm very disappointed and DO NOT RECOMMEND! Hopefully they learn from this god awful mistake that caused so much stress for someone on a day that should be one of their most beautiful memories. Way 2 go.
