"Bay Grape Napa will close, per the Chronicle, while keeping the original Oakland location intact. Owners Stevie Stacionis and Josiah Baldavino are looking to sell that location, too, as they hope “to build a more sustainable life for our family.” Decant SF will expand from its SoMa outpost to wine country by taking over the space in July." - Dianne de Guzman

Great selection of wines that are reasonably priced and green friendly. They have wine tasting and food events constantly. Be sure to sign up to their email list to get all updates. Karina was super friendly and knowledgeable, can't wait to go back and explore their international wine portfolio.

We used Bay Grape to source wine for our wedding and it was the BEST decision! They have a really fun questionnaire on their website to kick off the process of curating a wine list for your event. Abby at the Oakland location helped us pick out a mixed case of bubbles, whites, and chillable reds for pick up at the Napa location. The coordination between the two stores was seamless and they even chilled the case for us so we could pick it up and head right to our wedding! Owner Josiah was there when we picked up our order and was incredibly kind, helpful, and even gave us a fun bottle of rose (which we loved). All of the wines were a big hit and paired perfectly with our summer backyard wedding! The store itself is also really fun. They do tastings, industry events, and food pop ups regularly and everyone who works there is knowledgeable, approachable, and engaging. Highly recommend you swing by to taste something delicious and learn something new. And if you’re looking for wine for your next event, Bay Grape should be at the top of your list!

Stevie, the owner, came to our home & did a private class on Italian wine in honor of my husbands birthday. Start to finish working with Bay Grape was amazing. They were very helpful & patient with me during the booking process - answering all my questions & aiding in executing my vision. On the day of the event, Stevie was punctual & organized. She was knowledgeable, personable & engaging. All the wines we tried were unique & delicious & mission accomplished we learned a ton about Italian wines & are no longer intimated by wine lists at restaurants. All our guests had the best time & were brainstorming what our next event would be with Bay Grape & Stevie. I would absolutely recommend them too all my family & friends!

This is such a great place to relax and have a delicious glass of wine. They have a wonderful selection of international and local producers. Upon arrival we were happily greeted with warmth and knowledgeable staff. Isaac was helpful and was happy to select a delicious Spanish alberino for my sister and i. We enjoyed the dog friendly and open atmosphere. This is fast becoming our new local go to.

Absolutely love this place. The vibes are great, setup is wonderful, and the owner knows so much about wine. Incredibly well priced for what you get. Thank you for providing such a great experience

Yelp
Stopped here on a whim, the wife had seen this while driving by previously and thought it looked cute. We normally sit outside with our dog but they are very dog friendly so sat inside, light rain that day and it was a bit chilly. That said they do have a very nice patio with fire pits. They owners were really nice and accommodating, very knowledgeable on wine and there is a great selection. This is not your normal run of the mill Napa wine selection, there are wines from all over the world and some very interesting ones. The prices are pretty reasonable also. They do a blind tasting, wine by the glass or bottle. Definitely worth stopping by.

Yelp
Add Bay Grape to your must-visit list the next time you're in Napa. Whether you have time to sit and enjoy a bottle or glass, or just enough time to browse their impressive collection to take a bottle home, Bay Grape is worth a stop. The service here is phenomenal. We were warmly welcomed by owners Stevie, Josiah and their sweet pup Napoleon. Stevie and Josiah make wine tasting fun, accessible and very chill. Bay Grape is first and foremost a wine shop with bottles as affordable as $15, going up in price to $300 and beyond. It's great to have a wide selection that can fit any budget. You can pop open a bottle to enjoy onsite or take it home with you. If you do decide to enjoy some wine at the shop, you can also purchase crackers, cheese, meats and other charcuterie items a la carte. Bay Grape hosts a different micro winery each week, showcasing different wines you can buy by the glass or bottle. It's a great way to discover smaller producers. We visited Bay Grape for the first time last night to enjoy the blind tasting experience with a friend. For $25 a person, you get two whites, two reds and a blind tasting guide. On one side of the paper are questions to help you assess the wine and call your attention to what you see, smell and taste. On the other side of the paper are the red and white wine lists showing the bank of possible right choices. It's a fun experience to do whether you're a seasoned blind taster or if it's your first time. Blind tastings are offered Monday nights, but you can contact the owners to book private blind tasting classes and experiences outside of the usual Monday night schedule. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Stopped in Saturday afternoon after making my Trader Joes trip lol. I always see this off the freeway coming in from Vallejo, so I decided to stop in for a glass of wine. I was greeted by Megan. She provided outstanding customer service as she went over the local wines she had in stock. I told her I jus stopped in for a glass and she was very knowledgeable about their menu and the growers. She poured me a nice glass of rose and I sat outside on the cute patio with a fire pit. She even offered me a blanket because it was a bit nippy. I sat and reflected and enjoyed my wine in solitude. 4 stars because my glass of wine was $17 for a local grower after tip it was $20 and I thought that was a bit steep but just my personal opinion. All in all my experience was great and if this is something your interested in stop in and pay them a visit.

Yelp
Heyyyy...an actual positive Instagram ad that turned out to be accurate, imagine that. you know the 'algorithms' are off when I'm dreaming of triple filtered IPAs and a Napa Winery ad suddenly and 'randomly' manifests itself on that most socials of medias, Instagram. FIVE stars are possible, though, when an fine establishment proves itself worthy via great customer service, a knowledgeable and hellllla friendly staff and an unexpectedly chill and irie location and when I write 'friendly', it means pouring an extra glass of wine, on the house, just...because. even the music resonated with me (great mix of afro-caribbean, reggae, rocksteady, instrumentals) and when those dulcet tones mix with a completely relaxing atmosphere, it reduces all those stereotypes of wineries i've stockpiled to ash and proves me dead wrong. i'd definitely return to this place.

Yelp
Attendant was dismissive after I didn't put a tip on my order but I think tipping is for ensuring proper service, not that someone stood there and rang my items up in a retail setting. Strike One. The wines are extremely overpriced, probably allocated and want to take advantage of the scarcity, but everyone has the internet on their phone to check prices in real time. Strike Two! When asked if I needed help, the attendant mentioned it was black history month and that they were featuring black owned wineries. Strike Three! I do not care whatsoever about the color of anyones' skin, I care about the quality and techniques used to make the wine. Period. Once you go woke, you go broke. My money will be spent elsewhere.

Yelp
This place is a gem. The staff and the wine selections are top notch. And don't get me started on the patio.... Be warned, this place is addicting

Val B.

Yelp
TOTAL gem. None of the stuffiness but all of the abundance and fabulous bottle options of a truly great wine shop. Great staff and owners too make the place feel like home. Dont Miss!

Yelp
GreT place to find difficult labels and vintages. Very friendly staff and good prices. Fun place to talk about good wine and enjoy the good things in life.

Blake B.

Yelp
This is a greats locals place for so many reasons. Great prices, local producers, non pretentious staff, and if you just need to have a getaway but you're not buying by the case like so many wineries push, just have a cider and truffle chips by the fire pit. For travelers, stop in. Knowledgeable wine educators are there to assist you and the quality matches the budget if you're learning or want to see what else this Valley has to offer.

Yelp
Great and fun staff, yummy snacks, cozy fireplace tables and unique wines, love this place!

Yelp
Bay Grape is a wonderful, laid back spot for locals who want to escape the hustle and bustle of a prime tourist location. I very much appreciate this spot catering to the local community and offering wonderful wines for fair prices!! Highly recommend!!

Caitlin B.

Yelp
Bay Grape rocks!!! I'm still a novice in my wine knowledge and the staff here is so approachable and doesn't make you feel intimidated when choosing a bottle. We've stopped in to find a good wine to pair with dinner and also spent a few evenings out on their patio. Each time they've been so friendly and the vibe is so nice. And they are dog friendly! Great spot for locals and visitors alike!

Yelp
Super selection. Eclectic. I signed up for their super reasonable monthly wine club upon first visit because they clearly have someone savvy organizing their inventory. Still haven't been able to have a glass or flight of wine there but as a retail shop they are probably the coolest one in Napa.

Mike P.

Yelp
Super friendly welcome into the shop! Just a few minutes of talking with Samantha and I already felt like a regular. Their selection of wine hits on all the hot topic categories, and has plenty of variety for the more eclectic drinker. I just loaded up on European white wine gems to beat the heat--all under $20! Even picked up some black truffle chips on my way to check out. 10/10 would recommend

Yelp
We recently signed up for the blind tasting class and had a great experience. Stevie was great and gave us a great introduction on how to approach a blind tasting. It was a fun and relaxed class which provided valuable information for selecting wines. Hopefully we learned enough to graduate to the second class....

Yelp
This wine store and tasting room was very refreshing to find after searching for natural wine options in Napa. Options are really limited as Napa likes to stick to the colonialist style "Kermit lynch" wine life style. We each had our own flight, one flight featuring a hot local producer and second flight featuring the favorites of the month. One flight was 25$ and next 35$ three wines in each flight. Very decently priced and incredible service. The only thing is that it's located on the side of a freeway. Very nice as a natural wine and chill vibe option in Napa.

Yelp
Stopped by to check this place out while driving around napa. Great selection of wines and at affordable prices. Great ambience and vibes. Staff was super nice and knowledgeable! Wish I lived closer!
