Very soft white sand! Lovely, quiet morning walk. The pier has wonderful information signs and numbers for if you see/catch certain sea animals. I really appreciate that.

Took the youngest daughter to the beach with 2 of her school friends. A little chilly but beautiful. We just moved here from Northern Indiana. This is a very beautiful city

This is a beautiful spot, and perfect for kids. It's more shallow here too. There's plenty of parking and bathrooms and several places to eat & drink within walking distance.

Always clean and rarely crowded. Truly a preserved beauty. Plenty of parking, fishing, running, biking, yoga, etc

Hidden gem with pier, boat ramp, grassy, gently rolling dunes. Small crowds were quietly enjoying the beauty - no loud music, no litter. Like Mayberry on the beach.

Great atmosphere and lots of spaces to park. Not many people out on the beach most of the time. Very peaceful.

I'm from the Philly Suburbs but had a family trip scheduled to New Orleans. I decided that it being June, this was prime beach season. I'm used to NJ, De MD beaches, this was something all together different. There is a line of beach towns that dot the Mississippi coast. I drove through Waveland which had nice beaches, and we ended up in Bay St. Louis. It's a cute town, the beaches were reasonably clean. There was no lifeguard on duty. There's nothing like a "boardwalk" or like amusements but if you want a nice day at the beach in close proximity to New Orleans- this is it! Few nice looking little restaurants in the main drag of the town. Worth a visit if you are in the neck of the woods.

Very nice place to spend the day and swim in the ocean. The water is fairly clear. We visited on Sunday and it was not crowded which made it pleasant. Pretty houses along the road that you can enjoy looking from the ocean also. Dog friendly and place to park.
