Love it! I strongly recommend! The staff were super attentive and super patient, and the doc was awesome too!

Dr Xiao was very disrespectful towards me the last 6 week follow up after my wife gave birth. She kept singling me out, not responding to me, kicked me out the exam room, asked me a question that is a doctors decision not mine, that’s why we go to doctors for them to decide. Everyone else in that office is fine. But we decided not going back here because of dr xiao.

It’s always so difficult to communicate and find the right person. Sometimes from China town, sometimes from BK, sometimes the call center, it would be a lot easier to have different extension lines or tell the patients who they are, to avoid explain same things again and again or being hold without finishing the sentences again and again.

Dr Rohde is a great doctor. She's kind, gentle and takes the time to explain any issues. I've been seeing Dr Rohde for 9 years and couldn't ask for a better, nicer doctor. Thank you, Dr Rohde for always taking such good care of me.

Highly recommend Dr. Roland Nyein. He is my first gyno since I started making women wellness appointments years ago. He's soft spoken but very kind, super attentive, excellent bedside manner and will personally call you to follow up with your pap smear results. I truly appreciate that in a doctor. He's very personable and I'm never afraid or embarrassed to ask him questions. When I requested birth control pills he personally contacted my insurance when I ran into an issue when I was picking up my rx. Also if you call the office and ask to speak to him and he isn't there, he will absolutely call you back. I missed his first call cause I was taking a late afternoon nap and I thought I had to try again the next day to reach him but he called me one more time before leaving for the day and I was so grateful!! I could not be happier with him as my gynecologist. I wish he was my PCP also!!! The receptionists were my main issue years ago and was the reason I skipped the last 2-3 years annual visits but finding a good gyno is so hard and I love Dr. Nyein, he's absolutely the only reason I stayed with this office despite my frustrations with the front desk. I used to go to the Chinatown office but that location gradually became terrible for me in terms of cleanliness and organization. Every time I tried making an appointment, they couldn't find me because they had my birth date listed incorrectly in their system and kept insisting that I had to fix it with my insurance but my insurance has never had it wrong and no other doctor's office has told me that my birthday was wrong. So finally this year, they got it together and fixed it so now I don't have to dread arguing on the phone about who I am and when my birth date is. Back then they also never had the option of English or Chinese when calling and although I am Asian-American, I'm not Chinese so back then they'd automatically answer in Chinese but now you can make the language selection before being connected to someone and be confident that there won't be any communication issues. They also use a patient portal now which has been very convenient for me and especially during these times to stay connected with your doctor. Since rectifying my original receptionist problems, I can confidently recommend this place. I've switched over to their Brooklyn location and it's a lower level office so there are some stairs, just keep that in mind if you've got strollers, kids, or are elderly. Also I usually have a copay but they just mail me the bill. So once you're done with your appointment you can just walk out but I always double check anyway. One last thing, to my fellow drivers, arrive early! Street parking around this office is hard!!!

Bayard Street OB/GYN is an excellent practice! Especially at Brooklyn location, The staff is friendly and professional, and the doctors are compassionate, knowledgeable, and take the time to listen. The office is clean, well-organized, and appointments run smoothly. Highly recommend for quality OB/GYN care!

I recently visited Dr. Siyu Xiao at Bayard Street OBGYN and was very happy with the care I received. Dr. Xiao was professional, kind, and thorough, making my experience very positive. She took the time to explain everything and I was very impressed with her. However, my satisfaction with the clinic took a hit when I returned to the office to request a printout of my report. They refused to provide it unless I paid 75 cents per page. This policy seems particularly unreasonable in a neighborhood where many residents rely on Medicaid/EBT and might not have internet access at home. It's especially concerning for elderly patients who may not be internet-savvy or have the means to print from the online portal. None of my family's other doctors in Sunset Park have this policy, and it's disappointing to see such practices in place. While I appreciated the care I received, I am not sure if I will return with my daughter and mother given this unconsidered treatment. It should be a courtesy to receive a printout when asked for.

Be aware of doing the genetic testing(Horizon carrier Screen) in Bayard street office because the office might not tell you that it's most likely not covered by your insurance and you will be responsible to pay the "discounted bill" of several hundred dollars. I was very frustrated and upset when I found out that the office asked the lab to run the test before obtaining pre-authorization from my insurance company. The guy from the office billing department said" they were told by the lab that the pre-authorization is not necessary." As a result, we as patients will have to pay when insurance companies deny the service. The billing guy even mentioned that they have many other patients who had the same issue. They referred me to a representative from the lab to talk about discounted bill. Honestly , it makes me feel like the office is doing this dirty business with the lab. The office will not emphasize that the genetic testing most likely not going be be covered by your insurance, and you as a patient decide whether you really want it or not. The doctor will just order the test like this is part of normal OB testing.

Yelp
Reception is pretty bad all things considered - the Chinatown office is worse, this location is bad. Appointment time is 10:30AM, check in, sit there until 11:30 only to be brought in to sit inside and wait some more because I asked how much longer it'll take, as I hear the nurses talk about lunch plans. One nurse Elena tried to tell me this was just to talk to the doctor, and I said no I'm here for an actual procedure. I didn't wait an hour to talk to the doctor. She said we called and left you a message and I said yes, I called back and spoke to my doctor... and then another nurse tells me to get a urine sample and try to explain billing to me, and tries to buy more time. Like why would you not have asked for that the whole 60 min I was sitting here, and during that time I've already peed! Why would you try to explain billing now? Check with the insurance first. Should I be doing it myself since I have so much time sitting here? Then my appointment is rushed and it becomes a 15 min appointment with a 60 min wait time. If there's not actually an appointment at 10:30AM why would you offer it? Makes no sense. I've gone to this doctor for years, a shame reception sucks.

Yelp
I'm very disappointed and disgusted by the service here. I was recommended by my friend to use a doctor here. The doctor was out of office that day yet I had no phone calls about it at all. I came in and was told a PA was taking care of me instead. I felt like that was very unprofessional as they should've gave me a call or rescheduled me for another day. I don't know if it's a HIPAA violation or not, but I heard the staff scream down the hall that the patient is on menopause and hasn't had her period in 2 years. My husband was sitting outside and heard this information. When they asked for my information, another patient was a few inches away and it felt uncomfortable. I also saw a patient getting blood drawn with another patient walking into the same room drop off their urine sample. When I met the PA, it was very awkward. She awkwardly laughed when I was talking about my health issues. It made me feel so uncomfortable. Her name is Flora. I would not recommend anyone to go to this place. There is no sense of privacy and felt like a supermarket with everyone walking in and out of your room and screaming health information.

Yelp
The staff is amazing and following COVID-19 procedures. There is an easy to use Ipad for checking in to decrease contact with staff. They also check your temperature and have you fill in papers asking general COVID-19 questions in regards to if you have been in contact with anyone with COVID-19 or have left NYS the past weeks. They have also put stickers in between each seat in the waiting room to promote social distancing. This is my go-to OBGYN since they are conveniently located near where I live and I usually have a good experience. Usually, I am always early but I always have to wait at least 15 minutes after my appointment to be seen even during the pandemic. But it's not as crowded as it usually is during non-pandemic times so I don't mind waiting. I went for an annual and it was a quick, fast, and easy check-up by PA Jessica Huang. tl;dr - quick and easy annual, following COVID-19 precautions

Yelp
I went to this office for prenatal care of both of my pregnancy. Staffs are very friendly, appointment is almost always on time, waiting room and patient rooms are clean. Both Dr. Roland Nyein and Dr Betty Nyein are kind, professional and always patiently answer my questions if I have any. They also call me personally for any abnormal lab results. I definitely recommend this office for prenatal care and any women health issues.

Yelp
Started going there after getting a last minute appointment. The staff were very nice and I don't really have to wait for a long time when I have an appointment. After I got pregnant I continue going because they seem pretty professional and helpful. Always pick up when I called or if I sent an email.

Sisley F.

Yelp
Omg, horrible receptionist, trying to schedule an appointment for first time but then she told me she can't take me if I come at 4pm instead of 3:50pm, like are you serious, 10mins going to make a huge difference?? I wont even want to try bother wasting my time going to a new obgyn while they can't even train their receptionist on how to communicate and work with their patient!!!!

Lubachka A.

Yelp
I came to this office as a selfpay and saw one of the PAs for $120 because they were charging almost $200 to see a doctor. I asked for a basic pap (I paid additional $35 for) and they sent the wrong test to the lab!!! After I complained about it, they told me what I paid for doesnt include the basic tests I asked for and said I would have to pay extra!!! They tried getting more money out of me for their mistake!!! Unbelievable! Super unprofessional, cant even order a basic test, clearly not enough experience. I am so so pissed that I wasted $155 for nothing. I would give 0 zeros if I could

Yelp
The front desk is really in bad attitude! Keep give you a feeling" stupid, don't bother me" very obviously! No patience at all, they even don't give you a look when you asking question, then give the simplest answer then push you away

Yelp
I come here to see Dr. Nyein Roland. He rotates at this office and the one in Chinatown. You have the option of 2 locations, which ever is convenient for you. He is super sweet and professional.

Yelp
Recently found out I am pregnant, it was very early on, I scheduled to have blood work done or whatever else needed to be done as its my first pregnancy and I'm clueless. I never write reviews but this is just unacceptable. I have no insurance so I paid out of pocket when I went for a ultrasound which was NOT needed as I am so early. Tech told me that she didn't see the baby and I should worry about a ectopic pregnancy where the baby did not implant in the uterus. So I'm freaking out and go home and do research which state no one should even bother with a ultrasound till their 7 weeks. I get confirmation the next day via blood work that I am in fact pregnant. Great! I can go in a get a pregnancy validation stating that I in fact am and can start the Medicaid process. I drive to this location after calling to confirm that I can pick up validation and they tell me, no you need a ultrasound to prove the baby has a heartbeat and determine due date. I agree and schedule a appt. starting to feel apprehensive because she wanted to schedule me in another 2 weeks, what if they don't see the baby again and I have to come back and spend another 150+. I call A few other places and even the hospital confirmed that once you're pregnant via blood work you do NOT need a ultrasound. Due date can be determined from the last menstrual period. I don't know what there trying to do making me go in again for no reason when initially they told me the blood work was enough ( even the doctor I spoke to that read me my lab work) don't come here if you don't have insurance cause it seems like they give you the run around and want you to come 2-3x out of pocket just to tell you something you already know. Girl at the front desk seemed annoyed every time I went up there, nurses were nice. I won't ever come back to any of their offices. Contact avail NYC they were super nice and offer free services, wish I didn't come here so I couldve donated the money I spent here to avail. Update 8/6/16 The Medicaid pregnancy validation they told me I needed was complete BS. I went today after I got info from avail and was able to get Medicaid approved without no pregnancy validation instantly. Also they called me 3x for a follow up visit and said it would be $50 and when I called to confirm I was told it was $90-$150 again. I was actually going to go again cause I was worried cause every time they called they mentioned that the doctor needed to see me . Luckily I called and didn't waste my time tomorrow. Not sure what kind of practice they're running not giving patients proper or consistent information. Will never return.

Yelp
I've seen Dr. Rohde a few times and she was really nice and sweet. I guess the staff can be kind of cold but it didn't really bother me much because I was never late to my appointments so I saw my doctor really quickly. They're not really exact with height and weight measures but that didn't really matter to me than it might've to some people. Dr. Rohde answered all of my questions and told me about all the risks/effects of birth control. I always check my results and stuff online so I never really called much except for when I made my appointments. They were pretty great and straightforward when it came to making appointments. My insurance did cover everything so I don't know if someone will have a hard time with billing and talking to the staff about that.

Em C.

Yelp
Downstairs on a lower level (maybe difficult if you have a stroller) by 8th ave. the receptionists were a little cold , maybe because it was a busy day? They spoke a variety of dialects including English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. I had an appointment and still waited 45 minutes... They took my weight and height without asking me to remove my Uggs so now it's all off. My fault for not saying something but now I look morbidly obese on the chart. FN great. They do glucose tolerance testing and fetal monitoring instead of sending you off to some lab which was awesome! I thought it always had to be done at a hospital. Dr. R Nyein was soft spoke and explained everything he was going to do. Awesome bedside manner! Wasn't condescending and answered any questions I I had. Even signed me up for theatre the portal so I can view my lab results instead of coming back. Now let's see how they bill insurance...update to follow.

Kaden L.

Yelp
Bayard Street OB/GYN has been my primary physician for so many years and I couldn't be happier. Every time I see them, everything is easy-peasy from reception to billing. I usually don't have to wait more than thirty minutes in both Chinatown office and Brooklyn office. The front desk ladies is really kind and responsible. They always explain to me about my insurance coverage. Never charge me more if I don't have to. And as a commercial insurance like me, I know my coverage, but they still explain to me completely. I am very satisfied. The lady's work on the back is well knowledgeable too. They always taking care of me kindly, even with my kids. Sometimes I have no one to watch my kid while I am examining. Those lady's always help out, watching and playing with them. Doctors are all professional too. I definitely recommend to everyone.

Yelp
I made an appointment with Dr. Rohde through ZocDoc. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming and the office was calm and clean. My wait wasn't too long. Dr. rohde was kind and patient and answered all of my questions. The appointment was efficient but didn't make me feel rushed. I recently called to ask a question and the person answered the phone was helpful and took down my information to have the doctor call me back with no hesitation. I'd definitely recommend this practice to anyone looking for a new doctor. They have two locations in Brooklyn and two in Manhattan.

D Y.

Yelp
The only good thing about this place is that they were able to get me an appointment at the last minute. However, that's only after my original appointment got cancelled by the doctor at the last minute. I was the only one in the office waiting when I arrived yet it still took about 20 minutes for me to be seen because the PA decided to go to her car and get decorating supplies for her office. They only decided to get my appointment started after I spoke up. Lastly, the front desk overcharged me for my co-pay even though I repeatedly explained how much I was supposed to pay since I purposefully stayed in-network. Now it's two months later and they can finally refund me the extra money after calling 3x since the appointment. Too bad I have to trek over to their inconvenient location.

Yelp
This is another good location for Bayard ob/gyn at Brooklyn. Nice and clean. Different location that I can go for visit when I am in Brooklyn. Even though I didn't have appointment, but still not waiting too long. Dr.'s are patients. I remember one time I bring my aunt to visit because of heavy bleeding. Dr Nyein check her very carefully and explain to my aunt what she need to do to stop the bleeding. The five years IUD was what dr. Nyein recommend what long term treatment. We understand that our insurance might not be cover full. But dr. Nyein insisted said that it's ok. He won't charge us because my aunt really needed it. I never see a doctor don't care about money, but patients. I am so impressive. The staffs always help me to hold my baby too while I am checking. "Feeling like a family, warm and friendly"
