"Bayon Giant stone faces greet visitors as they enter the Bayon complex. This ancient Khmer center houses over 200 of these serene faces, with theories they were modeled after the bodhisattva (enlightened being) or the Bhuddist king, Jayavarman VII, who built the city center."

A stunning temple with unique stone faces, but it can get very crowded and hot. The carvings are impressive, and the history is fascinating. I recommend hiring a guide to understand the deeper meanings behind the artwork.

I think this is my favourite of all the temples. It’s in a great spot, you can ride around the whole thing before parking up and going in on foot. The building or remains are spectacular and there are monkeys everywhere in the grounds surrounding it.

It was a great adventure walming around a preserved ruin, they got good spots for taking pictures. The place is very clean despite having a lot of tourists coming in and out of the place

Really neat temple to see and the detail is amazing. There is also a spot adjacent to the temple where you can get a monk blessing which was a great experience.

Last temple of the day. We had seen two others earlier that day. Had lunch, and then our tuk tuk driver drove us to Bayon. It was also the 1st day of our 3 day pass to see any and all the temples. What sets this apart from the other temples so far was: it has 216 massive stone faces are carved on 54 towers throughout the temple; another thing is all the monkeys, I am a big fan of monkeys and it was wonderful to see them climb and play on and around the ancient structure.

Very impressive beautifully decorated temple, built in the late 12 century. It's filled with smiling stone faces most likely resembling face of King Jayavarman VII Endless opportunities for beautiful photos. Part of Angkor Wat heritage site.

Great historical site, now Buddhist, but once Hindu tradition is there. Well maintained historical monuments, must visit place. These are maintained by the assistance of Archeological survey of India.
