TL;DR: Great spot to hang before a show. Food and drinks 5/5; Service 4/5.
B&B is one of my favorite places to eat and drink before a show. Located in the lobby of The Four Seasons, it's so convenient if you're going to a show at Toyota (or Minute Maid, House of Blues, or Warehouse Live for that matter). We ate here for the first time since before the pandemic yesterday evening! It wasn't super crowded which was great (we weren't sure if there would be a ton of people there for Mother's Day).
The food and the drinks are incredible! I'm not much of a whiskey person, but if you like whiskey, they have a huge selection.
Drinks:
Polmos - vodka, elderflower, white cranberry, lemon, sugar. Very refreshing and has a kick.
Mocktail - my friend asked if they could make a mocktail. The server asked if she preferred sweet or citrus. She went with citrus. We're not sure what ingredients were in her drink (possibly blood orange), but it was GOOD! I would order that with gin or vodka if I knew what to call it lol.
Espresso Martini - wasn't on the menu, but the bartender was able to make it. My friend enjoyed hers.
My other friend ordered a gin and soda so pretty simple lol.
Food:
Roasted Cauliflower: Half a head of cauliflower roasted with some greens on top and a side of BBQ sauce. Absolutely delicious! I would definitely order this appetizer again.
Kale Casesar: This is one of my regular dishes that I love. I always add salmon. It was cooked medium (according to the receipt) and it was so tender and delicious! They were a little heavy on the Caesar dressing, but it didn't ruin the meal. The salmon was an extra $11 but totally worth it.
Texas Pecan Pie: The pie is small, but it's very sweet and delicious! It's a bit sticky with caramel. It comes with vanilla ice cream, but it tasted more like caramel ice cream. I think it had caramel drizzle on it and it was topped with graham cracker crumble. Mmm so good!
Other food that we ordered that I didn't have:
-Mushroom Flatbread
-Texas Redfish - (this looked amazing; it had quinoa, tabouleh, tomato, and jalapeno).
-Cast Iron Chicken - I've had this dish before and it's really delicious
Our favorite server Charlene no longer works there. She was so sweet and really took care of us anytime we would stop in. Our server last night was very nice, but a little slow to refill water. My friend asked for a side of BBQ sauce with her chicken, and he never brought it. We were going to try to flag down another server to see if she could get some, but she was almost done with her chicken. He was apologetic about the water and he did a great job with my friend's mocktail though.
They used to stay open pretty late, but now they close at midnight. According to the website, they serve food from 11a-11p. My friend and I wanted to eat here after a show at Toyota a few weeks ago, but we didn't even leave Toyota until 11:30p so we weren't able to go. If you're going to a show, make sure to have dinner before. It seems that a lot of places in the area don't serve late dinner anymore.
They usually participate in HRW, so I'm hoping they will this year. It will give me an excuse to come back (not that I need one).
