I didn’t realize how big and wide it is.

The Bayou Teche is beautiful, untamed, and small enough to call cozy. I enjoy chugging down the Teche at 5mph to take in the scenery and wildlife, whilst avoiding any erosive wake washing at people's properties.

Love eating at Joe's on the Bayou, the food is very good and dining outside by the Bayou Teche is a unique dining experience. Boiled crabs, crawfish on the patio. Seafood fried to perfection and home-cooked tasty meals. Joe's On the Bayou is a classic!

I love being in the country, I remember cleaning my property With my dad and picking pecans down by the bayou. I loved it. It's right across the street from that fig tree. Honestly it is.

I always love going to the bayou and fishing . it is a great place to camp, hunt, walk, go for a run or a ride, and even for just a quick picnic for lunch.

Born in St Martinville, LA. Have family near Port Barre, LA where the Teche begins. Evangeline Oak is on the banks in St. Martinville. Lovely little town which is a great place to live and visit.
