Bayside Pavilion

Love this place and need to visit much more often than twice a year. I had heard they had fresh Yellow Perch from Lake Champlain, as they sit on the shore, we all know how fresh it is. The fresh lake perch did not disappoint. Seasoned and lightly breaded as it should be, it was simply delicious. Cooked to perfection, not oily or greasy in the least. Such a wonderful meal served with french fries and a delicious coleslaw, over looking St. Albans Bay of Lake Champlain on a cold windy winter day, it just couldn't get any better. And so very soon...I'll be back.

The food was ok, but the shrimp cocktail was described as jumbo shrimp but they were medium at best for $3.75 per piece. The fried clams were ok but the room was so cold that dinner was cold fairly fast. I had to put my to coat on while I was eating. It wasn't just me, a person from another table got up and stood by the pellet stove at least twice. I'm not writing them off, but I won't be going back during cold weather. Come summer I will stop in and try a burger or something like that. I'm sure it will be better then.

This picturesque lake side restaurant was a highlight of our Vermont in the Fall trip. Family owned, and you feel like part of the family!! The food was amazing, and a wide variety, too. The atmosphere in there makes you feel a part of the community. Thank you to Josh for making it such a great experience!

My husband and I both ordered the strip steaks. The cook grilled them to the correct temperature and seasoned them perfectly. The mashed potatoes were homemade and delicious along with the Brussel sprouts which were seasoned and very flavorful. Our waitress was friendly and very attentive. This was a great find while we were in the area.

We had an amazing experience at Bayside! We come up to this area at least once a year and always stop by Bayside for at least one lunch or dinner. This time we came up with a large group of us, 11 in total. We did not have a reservation and walked in on the early side for dinner. The bartender/host asked us if we had a reservation and when we said no he worked with the waitresses to make sure they could accommodate our large party. We told them we wouldn't mind sitting at separate tables and splitting up, but they insisted they could make it work for us and they were able to move some tables around and get us all seated together. The atmosphere is very cozy and inviting. The waitress, Madison, was great! We ordered shirley temples for the kids in our group and she brought them out and was so kind to the kids asking them about school and even took it upon herself to bring the kids extra cherries when she noticed they had eaten all of theirs. When we told her we were there for fishing, she went out of her way to contact her dad who was also going to be fishing that weekend to ask for some good spots for us to check out. The food came out quickly and everything was correct and cooked to perfection. Every person in our group ordered something different and we were all very happy with the taste and quality of the food. Madison then brought out a small piece of cake for the kids to share at the end of the meal on the house. Overall, this was a wonderful dining experience and exactly what we were looking for.

Decided to try for lunch. I have to say so far this is the best restaurant in the surrounding area. I had seafood platter. The shrimp, scallops and the fish was lightly fried to perfection. The french fries were great as well. My friend had the lobster pizza boy. He loved every bite!! Defiantly will go out of my way to come here again!!

Great early dinner. Perfect escargot and mussels. Crispy fresh shrimp and clams and a strip steak that melted in your mouth perfectly cooked. Attentive prompt service made the stop worth going a little out of our way to experience. Did I mention the great lake view and sunset?

Fabulous pub/restaurant ate there 2days in a row. Sat at the bar good service comfortable atmosphere. Delicious fish & chips. Hubby enjoyed his mushroom burger.
