Bayt Sajj Holborn - Review - Holborn - London - The Infatuation

"We got a pleasant whiff of minced meat and onions before we even entered Bayt Sajj in Holborn. As soon as you do enter, though, you’ll notice the big round sajj ovens topped with thin, crispy-edged flatbreads. It’s an office-worker's dream lunch spot with hand-held Lebanese wraps for under a tenner, or an ideal stop-off before a day of shopping in central thanks to the excellent labneh wraps that are perfect for a quick breakfast on one of their sunny tables out front. Food Rundown Labneh This is our favourite vegetarian wrap on the menu. It’s light and filled with creamy, salted yoghurt and refreshing cucumbers. It’s the perfect breakfast when you don’t want something too heavy. Lahm Baajin This hot wrap has a good ratio of crispy sajj flatbread to tomatoey, spiced minced meat. We like it more with extra cheese. photo credit: Justin De Souza" - Rianne Shlebak

Bayt Sajj’s wraps are a flavorful, satisfying option for a quick meal. The saj bread is soft yet slightly crisp on the edges, and the fillings are generous and well-seasoned. Whether you go for the zaatar, kafta or halloumi, each wrap has a great balance of textures and spices. They don’t skimp on the toppings either—expect plenty of fresh veggies, sauces, and bold Mediterranean/Lebanese flavor. Perfect for a casual lunch or dinner on the go!

My favourite and most reliable spot in the city. Went there almost everyday for an entire year while studying nearby and couldn’t recommend it any more: consistently excellent food, cleanliness, aesthetic, the friendliest staff, new additions to the menu regularly, and always a reminder of back home. So many options too! Was never disappointed a single day and would genuinely recommend to anyone looking for an easy, quick delicious, homely halal meal in London.

They have one of the best taste chicken Shawarma in London. I have tried many other places, but this one was exceptionally good. I also tried Hallomi and Za'atar pies. The Hallomi pie was excellent, but the Za'atar was a little bit dry. The service was nice, and the guy working there was kind and respectful. Thank you, and keep up the good work 👏🏻

I ordered a flaffel wrap and it was absolutely first class. Full of fresh salad, herbs, tahini served with fresh flaffel in a beautiful crisped up homemade wrap. Served by friendly staff with a smile.

Amazing food, and amazing service by a young guy who works there. Very delicious zaatar sandwich

Fresh wholesome food. Polite staff. The falafel wrap was filling and tasty. I would have preferred more flavour with salt and sour but I would be happy to visit again.

Great quality ingredients. Very thought out menu and recipes to make one feel you’re in Lebanon. Will definitely be part of my weekly routine

Oh my. This just might be the greatest wrap I've ever eaten. I know that's bold to say, but I'm genuinely not being hyperbolic. I had the well-reviewed kafta & cheese (amazing flavours; meaty, pickly, creamy yumminess), and fussy 4 year old tanked through most of the cheese (which we polished off as it was anything but plain ol' cheese). On reading the reviews I'm a bit annoyed I didn't try the coffee, but the ayran was saltily delicious. Ah well, will just have to come back next time in London. The reviews are also right about the atmosphere - felt so welcome, and great to watch all the food being prepared. Loved it.
