Bazarette Opens in Downtown Montreal From the Owner of the Habs | Eater Montreal

"Situated right by the Bell Centre and opened by the CH Group in partnership with RECIPE, I note that Bazarette operates as a day-and-night café and wine bar: it opens at 7 a.m. serving coffee from Villeray Italian-leaning café Larue et Fils (café service runs until 3:30 p.m.), then switches to a more formal evening operation and stays open late. Though the corporate ownership could raise eyebrows, the team says they’re striving to run it as an independent operation with its own chefs and sommelier calling the shots. The menu is presented only by components (for example “burnt squash, labneh, cumin, tournesol”), consists mostly of small plates priced around $10–$15, is served into the early hours, and is fairly rounded and loosely seasonal—examples include Brussels sprouts with cauliflower, lardons and parmesan, and boudin with Granny Smith apple, Asian pear, aged cheddar and hazelnuts. Chef Adam Martin leads the kitchen, joined by sommelier Stéphane Letellier and general manager Charlie April; April and Letellier devised a wine list that skews natural and consists of private imports. Don’t expect sports-bar vibes or Habs paraphernalia here." - Tim Forster

We had a lovely date night here before the Habs game. The service was great from start to finish. Despite being busy with many customers before the game, the staff were attentive and friendly - especially Stephen. Portions were good, prices were reasonable, and taste was great! Highly recommend the Cavatelli and Cod fritters. Will definitely be coming back before another Habs game this season :)

Alexis was awesome, attentive but not in our faces, date night was perfect with some shared Buffalo Wings and the Angus Tenderloin with peppercorn sauce. It was so good I ordered some Sourdough crusty bread to soak up the sauce. Great meal for under $100 including drinks.

We did not have reservations on a concert night (Cyndi Lauper). I recommend reserve first because we got lucky and they had a couple of places at the bar. The waitress was really friendly and very helpful with everything. If we didn't know an ingredient, she helped us and clarified for us. We had the crab cakes, the salmon crudo, and the picanah. All was delicious!! The cocktails were amazing, too! It's pricey, yes, but it was all wonderful.

I had a great time as my first hockey game visiting from the states and getting a last minute table here with some local friends! Great atmosphere and like it’s not another sports bar. Food was hot and fresh and we got to the game on time. Thanks for accepting us as a walk in very last minute!! Had a great time

Excellent service! Everyone is friendly and making sure the clients are satisfied. We shared these entrees with my friends. Perfect portions, beautiful presentation and very tasty. Definitely a place to go prior to an event at the Bell Centre.

Had an amazing time last night and Stefan was absolutely wonderful!!! Made great suggestions for food and was accommodating regardless of my allergens. Would definitely suggest asking to be in his section if you go eat here :)

We chose Bazarette before a concert at the Bell Centre. Bazarette far exceeded our expectations: great food, helpful staff, (5 stars to server Stephen who may be the best one we've ever had!), elegant and welcoming ambience.

Nice place to go get a drink and/or eat before your show at Centre Bell! The staff is great and friendly, the food is delicious and you can get all kinds of drinks! To get in you need to show your ticket and once you're done you can access Centre Bell directly from the restaurant so no need to get in line again!
