"Clifford Bonnet says that he chose Bazille, a steakhouse located inside the San Francisco Centre Nordstrom, to celebrate a new job. The dinner turned less celebratory, however, when a dispute over a knife to cut his meat ended in a physical confrontation with an SFPD officer who was summoned to remove him, Mission Local reports." - Eve Batey

If you're looking for a hidden gem in the San Francisco area, look no further than Bazille! From the moment you walk in, you'll be greeted by the warm and welcoming staff, who are always ready to help you with anything you need. But let's talk about the food. Oh, the food! Bazille serves up some of the most delicious meals I've ever tasted. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty salad or a juicy steak, they've got you covered. The ingredients are always fresh, and the chefs clearly know their way around a kitchen. One of the best things about Bazille, though, has to be the amazing view. The restaurant is situated in a beautiful location with a panoramic view of the city. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the decor is modern and tasteful. But don't be fooled by the restaurant's seemingly fancy exterior – Bazille is a hidden gem that won't break the bank. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality of the food and service. In short, Bazille is a must-visit for anyone in the area. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner with your significant other or a fun night out with friends, you won't be disappointed. With its delicious food, welcoming staff, amazing view, and affordable prices, Bazille truly has it all!

Dining at Bazille was a pleasant experience. Most seatings give you a view of downtown SF. The food was good. We ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and the portabella mushroom ravioli. The chicken sandwich was surprisingly good. I’m not a fan of the sauce they provided but the chicken itself is crispy, juicy, and just outright delicious. The ravioli was heavy on the stomach but good nevertheless. They do have happy hour drink menu. I ordered the weekend getaway because egg white. The drink didn’t have the layer of egg white you’d expect. You can see some on the edge but it should cover the top, This led to the 4 stars rating but hey YMMV.

We went to lunch here on a Sunday during a birthday shopping outing. We've been here a few times. The food was good, especially the wild salmon and club sandwich. The calamari appetizer was tasty. Staff was friendly and didn't rush us through our meal. Better than average store fare. We'll be back. Reservations suggested.

Google
Food was wonderful. Desserts were good too. Service was great and so was the view of buildings. Got charged for 2 birthday desserts, when we would have only wanted one. It was a little odd. But other than that, it was a nice lunch.

Google
Excellent quality food, presentation, and tasty. Restaurant is inside Nordstrom store at the 4th floor. Good view and prices are good too. The service was great as well.

Google
Was extremely busy, but then again it was the holidays. Maybe that’s why the food order was messed up. In my experience the best time to come here is midweek and eat at the bar, not bar tables, but the bar during lunch time. Quick service and solid drinks and meal are gonna happen then.

Google
Great place for lunch. Traditional American fare with good wine and even better views. Although I do wish they kept the ham and cheese sandwich, that was my go too.

Google
Love the food here especially their pastas, salads and sandwiches. Pricey but worth it with the good views of the streets below since it is located at the top floor. Service is tops. We had an attentive waitress who patiently waited for my undecisive friends' orders. Lol.

Yelp
Definitely going to miss coming to this hidden gem within Nordstrom's. Their last day is soon to arrive. Good food, drinks and people. I hope all the staff find other jobs soon. Loved the views from the window seats that overlooked Market St. Everything was so bright. Going to miss the French Onion soup, the spinach artichoke dip, and so much more. Thank you for the wonderful memories.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this spot after browsing at Nordstrom. Overall thought is just ok. Service is alright. Menu pricing is kinda expensive. Drinks options are kinda limited and not many options of my liking. Drinks are strong AF if that's what you're into. Vine street was strong. I didn't like the first drink and the bartender was kind enough to make me a different drink. Again, still strong lol...packs a punch. My friend and I shared a sesame cauliflower (appetizer). It was a cauliflower wedge, sesame aïoli, and gremolata. It was surprisingly not bad. Decent and good flavor. Ambiance was so-so. On the quiet side, on the top level of Nordstrom overlooking SF streets.

Yelp
Bazille is located on the top floor of Nordstrom. Bazille doesn't offer the best food nor service but it's a good place to dine at if you want to get a bit of quiet that you can't easily find dining at the food court in the Westfield basement. There's never really a wait here for a table either. I attribute this largely to the fact that Bazille is so well hidden from the rest of the mall. On my most recent visit, I got a turkey club sandwich with fries that were served with an kalamata olive aioli. The fries are crispy and well salted, but the recipe for the olive aioli has definitely changed over the years: it is not as good as it used to be and also much less purple in color. The club sandwich is a bit dry, but portion size is decent. If you're looking for low-calorie options, there are not many to be found at Bazille unfortunately. Calories are printed next to each item and most entrees start at around 800 calories. The only exception is probably the flat-bread, which clocks in at around 600 calories. Bazille is worth stopping by if you're shopping at Nordstorm and are looking for a quiet sit-down meal.

Yelp
I'm so sad to see this place go. I really enjoyed their food here and it was affordable. For my last meal here I got there heirloom tomato burrata salad and the lobster bisque. The salad had a nice tang with the balsamic vinaigrette and the lobster bisque was so creamy. My boyfriend got the French dip and my dad got the fish and chips. They also loved their entrees. The restaurant had a great view that overlooked downtown San Francisco and the staff was always attentive. I'm curious as to what is going to be built here next as it was a great location for this restaurant.

Yelp
I don't typically make it a habit to eat at restaurants inside department stores, and my experience here reminds me of why. Best to just shop. And stay away from mediocre food. My waitress highly recommended the Halibut and Chips, so I went with that. The fish itself was just ok. Edible, but not moist. It's halibut, so I wasn't expecting it to be flaky, but it was very dense. What I really didn't like was the batter. I love a deep fried batter, but this wasn't at all crispy and VERY dough-y. Just check out my picture of the batter I left behind (and I normally don't leave hardly any food behind on my plate). For almost $25.00 (after tax, but before tip), this was very very disappointing. Service was alright, but given that they were like at 20% ofc apacity at the peak of lunch, it could've been better. Especially when I had to flag waitstaff down for water while they were obliviously chatting away with each other. I'd totally understand if they were understaffed, but this wasn't the situation. As for ambiance/decor, it's fairly dated, but clean. Even with a window table, it's set up so that you can't actually even get a view of the street without standing up. I thought at least it would be fun to get a view of busy Market Street from atop, but nope. Well, you do see the buildings, but not the street. Ok, if I was shopping here and starving, then sure. Maybefor coffee. But for a regular meal, no. You're in downtown San Francisco, where there are plenty of other much better options.

Jamie W.

Yelp
Honestly, I wasn't expecting such a great lunch. I have vague memories from my Canadian childhood of department store cafes at the Hudson Bay Company and Woodward's. This is definitely not your cafeteria type of place. After all, this is Nordstrom. I treated myself to what I affectionately refer to as "fancy lady lunch" which usually (always) involves a couple day drinks and a nice meal in a place I don't live whilst shopping. I started with a cup of crab bisque and then had the gnocchi and chicken meatballs. Yes, I was starving. The crab bisque was delish. Hot, perfectly seasoned and came out super fast from the kitchen. The gnocchi was a superb dish. When you think chicken meatballs, you think dry. These were perfection. The sauce had just the right bit of spice/heat. Awesome dish that I will try and replicate at home. I had a couple glasses of Napa wine - a white and a red. Not badly priced and paired perfectly with my meal. I sat at the bar which is my go-to when dining alone. The bar staff were wonderful. So attentive and welcoming. I highly recommend Bazille and will seek it out again in the future.

Jeannie C.

Yelp
CLOSED permanently. Sadlly, with Nordstrom closing, this lovely favorite is now closed as of August 6, 2023. It was always consistently great.

Young B.

Yelp
This is basically Nordstrom Cafe with a better name. We were going to a show at the Golden Gate Theater and it was a nice option for dinner indoors. (Other restaurants had only outdoor seating without heaters...what?!? We had excellent service from beginning to end. The food was a bit salty for my taste but it wasn't bad. I had been looking forward to the lobster Mac & cheese based on other Yelp reviews and was disappointed that it wasn't on the menu. I had the mushroom ravioli and it was ok but too salty for me. We had a nice time and it was a short walk to out show.

Jennifer J.

Yelp
I dined regularly at the bistro for many years a few years ago the name and menu changed and I stopped going. Well today it was the most convenient option post spa date. I was seated right away in the section I wanted (the window). I selected the pomegranate limeade-refreshing! For lunch I choose the Nordstrom burger, absolutely perfectly done. The fries were a bit salty especially with the Kalamata aioli served with them. Elijah my server was very attentive and personable.

Diane K.

Yelp
This is absolutely my go to lunch spot after a morning of shopping in SF. Service is wonderful, views are fabulous, and food never disappoints. They have wonderful faux cocktails, too. Can't go wrong here.

Tam S.

Yelp
It's nice to have a fine dining restaurant (one of the few) in the mall as an option. Over the many years of coming here, the food and service has been great and consistent. After walking around shopping, it's the perfect setting to enjoy the great view and dining experience. The food is well crafted, clean, and delicious. And there's a full bar and great selection of wines to choose from. Definitely the best of all worlds.

John M.

Yelp
This is about the best shopping mall meal that you could hope to find. Nestled in the Nordstrom department store, this place serves up a nice variety of dinner options and beverages. My flank steak, fries and spinach was perfectly prepared, and our server was remarkable nice and responsive ... he was promptly on the spot whenever a beverage needed a refill.

Alla R.

Yelp
Food was good , but service not that great. You can always go there if you have a meeting, but I'll probably go in the different place

P T.

Yelp
We had brunch here and it was good. I wish I remembered to take photos of our food, but I was hungry and ate it quickly. HAHA. I guess that's a positive, right? Service was great, too! They were friendly and also made sure to come back to the table and ask us if we needed anything. We would eat here again.

Robert M.

Yelp
I am SO going to miss this place. Good food, great service. Wonderful respite in chaotic downtown.

Jeannette N.

Yelp
I am a total sucker for Nordstrom bistros. They always have the best food, excellent service, and a comfortable atmosphere. I recently visited Bazille during a solo shopping day at Westfield and was not disappointed. Food: I had the crab, mango, avocado salad and it was to die for. So fresh, filling, and healthy! Washed down with a refreshing arnold palmer. I normally get the margarita pizza which is always a winner. Service: Quick, friendly, professional. She topped off my AP when I was getting low. Atmosphere: Casual but quality. It can be awkward dining solo, but given Bazille is in a mall, solo diners are typical. They've laid out the restaurant such that you can get a private table without feeling like all eyes are on you. They have a long row of tables next to the window, which look out onto the city. There's also a ton of bar seating. Go check it out!

Deana M.

Yelp
Great service and food is always on point. Restaurant is looking a little worn, but the soups and salads are always good. Great lunch spot and place to refresh after a morning of shopping! Good view too!

Michele T.

Yelp
Been ages since we were last downtown. We were browsing Nordstrom and decided to get some lunch at Bazille. Our server was excellent - provided recommendations, was attentive, and checked on us often. Kiddo wanted pasta and decided to try the gnocchi. The sauce with this was very good. He ate it all up. Needed to try the French Onion soup as it came highly recommended AND it did not disappoint. Hot, cheesy, good onion and broth flavor. Plenty to share with the hubs. Hubs ordered the Prosciutto and Arugula pizza - decided to try with the cauliflower crust. Wouldn't have known it's cauliflower as it tastes just like regular pizza crust, although maybe just not as crispy. I ordered the Wild Salmon Niçoise salad which I liked a lot. The mix of greens, potatoes, salmon and dressing all tied together nicely. Kiddo ended up eating half my salad. Also ordered the French Press coffee. For $5 this was great and enough to share with the hubs. Strong and flavorful coffee. Prices are pretty decent, food was great and service was excellent. Brought back memories when I used to eat here, formerly the Nordstrom Cafe, with my grandmother. Great experience and will definitely return when we find ourselves downtown again.

Yelp
Early dinner at Bazille on Saturday 5/22/2021. They still close early, 6:30pm except for Saturday 7pm. Our amazing server Luis recognized me right away.. welcomed! Store manager came in to greet us, as well. It was pretty cool. Dined here with friends pre-pandemic lotsa times. Always exceptional. Today's service was very personable! Learned from Luis they re-opened post-pandemic only two months ago back in March. Bazille is on the top floor, so no outside dining.. inside limited capacity, social distancing, Blah Blah protocol in place. We appreciate the extra care, making the place safe! They clean everything thoroughly, discard all printed menus after one use, by the way, always. Bazille's menu has changed, but some signature dishes remain. New on the menu Chef Lenny Maniago features, like pizza & Wild Pacific Shrimp & Grits.. perhaps next time! Great views. Downtown buildings/ conversation points, reminiscing on pre-pandemic chat. Signature raspberry and blackberry lemonade while we decide on starters. They make each glass "to order", mesh berries in, so you can ask for your desired level of sweetness and thickness. Pretty cool, hah? A bottle of "good" champagne, Veuve Clicquot. "Only one quality, the finest". When I was visiting in Reims, where most of French Champagne houses are based, I learned this one used to be a family business founded in 1770s by Philippe Clicquot. Now to the starters. Luis' recommendations were spot on! Heirloom tomatoes & Burrata, grilled sourdough croutons, extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinaigrette, basil pesto Crisp calamari with sweet & spicy papers, jalapeño basil aioli Cilantro shrimp tacos! Or were they Blackened shrimp tacos? Avocado crema, cabbage, green onion, cilantro, pickled red onion, lime, corn tortilla Everything fantastic! Plus sweet service, too. Luis helped us select a bottle of red. We wanted to go with Pinot Noir. Luis brought in a tasting flight. Surprisingly, a Pinot by Imagery felt smooth & appropriate. Wanted to try Oregonian Erath, "Resplended".. glad we had a taste.. disliked! Sorry Oregon, I will stick with Napa wines, LOLz. Moving on to signature salads and house specialties. Crab, mango & avocado.. jumbo lump crabmeat, organic baby arugula, cucumber, heirloom tomatoes, red onion, cilantro lime vinaigrette, toasted baguette Everything about this salad was absolutely right. Fresh crab just melting in your mouth! Mmm! Wild salmon entree, made to order, grilled, with kung pao Brussels sprouts and green beans (not on the menu).. delicious! Steak & frites.. herb butter, arugula salad, salt & paper crush french fries, kalamata olive aioli Desserts! Chocolate paradise cake.. very rich & velvety. Classic white chocolate bread pudding, with raspberry sauces, fresh raspberries, a must try! And hot tea. Luis, I will be back soon! Cheers!

Yelp
A hidden jem. Great views from Nordstrom's restaurant, SF. Was my first visit & would return. Staff are on-point, professional, knowledgeable, polite & don't try to rush you out; ie, European: you ask for the tab, nice. We missed happy-hour, but h-h menu looked good, albeit short. For example, the hamburger is discounted about $4 USD. $16 to $12? While I didn't have the burger, in hindsight, I should have. The chicken taco appetizers were flavorful. Our water was refilled without request; the waiters pay attention to detail. We sat at a window-table with cloth napkins & tablecloth, classy. I think this restaurant/Nordstrom's is closing at the end of summer? I'll try to post a picture of the H-Hour menu; I hope to return & have the burger, on HH.

Cheryl C.

Yelp
Great food and enjoyable drinks. The smashed berry mock tail was super refreshing! This restaurant on the 4th floor of Nordstrom has seating by the window which lets an abundance of light in. I recommend the French onion soup, it was delicious! The kung pao Brussel sprouts were also very flavorful. Solid restaurant with friendly servers!

K B.

Yelp
On 1/29/23 around 415pm. I went to Bazille to buy food for a relative who just gave birth across the street. Upon arrival, I see this guy and lady standing in the front, giving me a long stare. They obviously got annoyed that they were interrupted. I'm like can I make a to-go order?! Once I received my order and went back to the hospital which is literally 5 min away, the margarita pizza I ordered looked like it was made in the morning and had been pre-heated. It was cold and didn't taste right. This place used to be a good spot for dining in but I don't think I'll return.

Michelle D.

Yelp
Great service and it's fast. Always had full drinks. The lamb burger was a special and it went well with the fries and the kalamata aioli. On another trip, we got the pepperoni mushroom pizza and the spicy wild shrimp pomodoro. The pizza was nice because it had the punchy flavor from the cheese and pepperoni. Was is oily, yes but it's a pepperoni picture so it was worth it. The pasta was ok. They called it spicy, but the spice was barely there. I wish there was more flavor packed into it since they promised a spicy sauce so it was disappointing. Overall, I come back here for the great/fast service and the nice view of the city. The tables felt spread out enough to not make us feel uncomfortable. I look forward to the mint chocolate at the end that comes with the check. I appreciate that they change up the menu but there are always steady sandwiches and a burger to please everyone.

Ben C.

Yelp
Bazille is a great option for a sit down lunch while in the area. The dining room has a nice view of the rooftops across Powell Street, and it's like a quiet oasis from the bustle of the mall and the busy area. The brunch menu is a very simple menu with brunch classics. I got the Benedict and opted for the crab meat. There was a good amount of crab meat, and it was moist. The eggs were nicely poached. The brioche toast was used instead of a typical English muffin. Because of this, there was an interesting sweetness to each bite. I think it needed a bit of spice--perhaps chili flakes or a bit more seasoning in general with the hollandaise. It came with a bright salad and moist/crisp potatoes. The menu is a lot more affordable than other popular brunch spots! Only 19 bucks for the crab Benedict. A few bucks less than getting a brunch Benedict in other neighborhoods. Check it out!

Maria M.

Yelp
Love this place, the service is always amazing and the ambience is always on point. Today I ordered the vegan breakfast plate with of course the original mimosa for my drink. The vegan chorizo patty was so tasty and the potatoes and eggs were cooked to perfection. I forgot to take a picture, but the plate looked beautiful and tasted delicious. The mimosa was perfectly mixed and so good, I ordered two. I highly recommend this location!!!

Catherine O.

Yelp
We had a great lunch here for a party of five for lunch on Saturday. We were granted a request to have a table with a view. Great coffee, great selection (brunch, special, and regular menu). Although the pizza oven is no more, I was happy with the fish and chips. Portions were great-sized for all. There was no room for dessert. The best part though, was the servers, some I have know for years. They really take care of their guests. Please come enjoy before they close. I have so many good memories of Bazille (Bistro) and have brought lots of friends here.

Ashley A.

Yelp
It's been years since I've been in the city but I returned today for a show at the orpheum and lunch with my mom! We used to eat at this Nordstrom restaurant prior to their name change and it did not disappoint. We enjoyed the wide variety of options on the menu and our server Luis was welcoming, friendly and attentive. I had the French dip sandwich and my mom had the special mushroom burger. Both dishes were good and filling! I wish the roast chicken and frites would return but i would definitely return again here for another pre show meal if in the city! Nice view and tucked away from the hustle and bustle below on market street. You can make a reservation on OpenTable and it's located on the 4th floor of Nordstrom near the baby section.

Jennifer D.

Yelp
We stopped by the Cheesecake Factory first but it was like 40 minutes of wait for mediocre food. We found this place on OpenTable and decided to come here at 1:00 and were starving. Service is spectacular and food is very very good. We got the spinach and artichoke dip and it was SO delicious. The best I've ever had. For entrees we got the wild salmon with couscous and the halibut and chips. Both were really good. Restaurant was busy but not overwhelmingly packed, which was nice. Servers were also nice and friendly. Come here if u want to be seated quickly, good food, nice view, and food that comes out quickly. Glad to have found this place and we'll definitely come back more often for brunch.

Hiusan W.

Yelp
I've been coming here since I was in high school, 7 years now. I LOVE THIS PLACE! After shopping, come here for a great dinner. I always get the club sand-which and their fries. Their aioli is pure magic, never had a better aioli in my life! I've brought all my friends here as well and they love this place too! Their service is also wonderful and they give you a little mint chocolate with your bill and it's so yummy! If I'm in downtown, I am eating here!

Yvonne D.

Yelp
We ordered the French onion soup it was delicious just like the server described. We also had the calamari and the tomato basil soup. Everything we ordered was good and the city view was amazing. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting San Francisco.

Garrett S.

Yelp
For being located in Nordstrom's I didn't have high expectations. We were just looking to fill our stomachs quickly between shopping and it was the only non fast food in the area. This place actually had really good food. We had a great calamari appetizer with a dipping sauce that was one of the better sauces I've ever had. I then had the pan seared chicken which was also fantastic.

Susanne R.

Yelp
Great service and tasty food! Arrived after a matinee show and for a seat by the window and we were quickly accommodated . When seated they gave us ALL the menus. - Happy Hour - Main Menu - Drink menu - Desserts. We ordered drinks and appetizers off of the happy hour menu while we read over the main menu deciding what to have. The highlight of the appetizers was the Kung pow brussels sprouts. Crispy with just the right amount of heat and we really enjoyed the spicy sausage that accompanied it. Our waiter was friendly and answered our questions. We ordered The ricotta gnocchi, the fish and chips, and the spicy seafood pasta dish. The only complaint I had was that they put the food on cold plates, so the edges of the gnocchi dish were cold. Everyone said their food was very flavorful with fresh ingredients. Our waiter was great and would check on us periodically filling water etc. Dessert was a crème brûlée and mango sorbet to share for the table. Both were delicious. Prices are very reasonable here, especially with happy hour.

Karen W.

Yelp
This spot was formerly the Bistro Cafe of Nordstroms' and now it is called Bazille and the service and atmosphere are excellent! I came with three of my aunts and we wanted to be seated in a quiet area and so we were placed in comfortable area near the windows. Two aunts shared the fried calamari and Asian chicken salad and me and the rest of us ordered the club sandwich. Ample portions and I only could eat half of my club sandwich and I took the other half home and it was still delish!

E'mmonie G.

Yelp
The Crab Bisque is my absolute favorite ! I crave it daily! It's loaded with big chunks of fresh crab and is nice and creamy. It's a must stop for me whenever I'm in the city or at the mall! The bartender is also super cool! I came in around the Playoffs and he was super nice, quick, and makes some really good drinks! Pro-tip, get the BOWL, the cup just isn't enough! Service is always great and friendly. Check them out !

Ryan S.

Yelp
This location is wonderful! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu! I especially love the baby gem Cesar salad, crab bisque soup, creme brulee, bread pudding, and the fried calamari. They recently started brunch on the weekend and that has been tasty as well. The service is always great as well. I always request John or Luis as my server. They are both just the best! Bonus: if you time it right you can see some spectacular sunsets as the restaurant is on the top floor of Nordstrom across from the kid's stuff and the windows face Market and Powell.

Michelle L.

Yelp
The brussel sprouts and onion pizza (never would have thought about that combination) was surprisingly good! It was too big for me to finish, so I took it home and it was just as good the next day. The food came out pretty quickly too. The service could have been better. It was hard to flag down our server. I didn't know where she went. However, there were a bunch of staff/servers that were just talking by the kitchen, doing nothing. Why couldn't they help us?

Angel L.

Yelp
Dropped by for some drinks during the day. It's a low key place to recharge after shopping. The service was fantastic and the view was great, but the tables were sticky. I'm not surprised to see that it's had several health violations reported. Got a the rose hound mocktail. Thought it was very pretty, light, and fruity. In conclusion, I'd come back for drinks. Location is too good to miss out on.

Tim V.

Yelp
The hours suck because this is one of the BEST SECRETS IN SF! -NEVER TOO CROWDED, they never give me shit about my service dog, and the service is always SO warm. They recognize everyone who comes back. I been coming here a lot and had positive interactions with everyone. Shout out to server John, though, he is such a sweet guy and is so personable and attentive! -The FOOD you will get cravings again, it's very well done, almost simple and not heavy. I love their soups! -Also, the PRICES are amazing, not what you think about when you think of Bazille at Nordstrom. Happy hour menu right now is generous and I find myself making plans around this place to catch them before closing haha

Clarize B.

Yelp
Came to Nordstrom and was looking for the Nordstrom Cafe and didn't know it was rebranded as Bazille. I was here with a friend during happy hour and the deals are amazing! $5 glass of rosé? Count me in. There was an appetizer happy hour menu as well and ordered the Bruschetta. Also ordered the bread pudding since that was the main reason I came here. The bill was under $30! Such a good deal and our server was so kind. There were only four other people in the entire restaurant and it was pretty dead. Hope their customers and sales go up!

Michele P.

Yelp
Asked for water with lime at the bar. They are too lazy to give me water so they sent me to a machine with plastic cups. I didn't really want to use a plastic cup since it's around for 1000 years. And I asked for lime. I

Sue S.

Yelp
IMHO Such a cool view from the top floor of Nordy's at SF Centre! Bazille was the perfect meeting place for five high school friends from around the Bay Area to re-connect and dine! Most of us used BART or Muni to get here! We five ladies ordered multiple orders of Cilantro Lime Chicken Tacos ($6.50), Crispy Calamari ($11.25), Wild Salmon Nicoise Salad ($18.50), Kung Pao Brussel Sprouts ($8.50), and Crab, Mango & Avocado Salad ($17.75). We all loved our food and server, Jesus! I thought the prices were a tad high...I paid $23 for 2 tiny tacos and calamari including tax & tip, but Nordstrom does have to pay the rent. Friendly service from everyone!

Michael H.

Yelp
Hidden gem is an understatement. Our waiter, Syd, was so exceptional in describing the dishes and helping us decide whether to have portabella mushroom ravioli or the mushroom infused burger. The calamari was unbelievable and complex with the flavor balance spot on. The pepper compote was a scrumptious surprise. So happy we came to Bazill. Highly recommend if you're looking for a culinary experience where you can taste the love.

Christianne L.

Yelp
We came to Bazille based on a recommendation from my dad's friend. Although, his friend based his opinion on the Bazille in San Jose, we decided to come here since were spending some time in SF. We made a reservation and when we arrived to the restaurant, we were seated right away. They were about to seat us in a table that has 2 seats in a booth and 2 seats with chairs, but my family wanted to sit near the window. We had to wait for them to clean up a table, but it didn't take that long. They took down our drink orders right away and we didn't wait long for the drinks to get to the table either. Unfortunately, we had to send one of our drinks back because the glass was not clean; it had lipstick stains on it. They kindly took the dirty glass away and brought us a brand new drink in a clean glass. Since one of us ordered a steak, they brought us a steak knife. But as the waiter placed the steak knife down on the table, I saw that there was still food on it. So we flagged down a waiter and requested a new, clean knife. I noticed that after both incidents, multiple waiters (and even the manager) came by to apologize. I thought it was a little odd that even the manager would come over to apologize but then I realized that I had my Yelp water bottle on the table. So I hope that's not why they were constantly apologizing and checking up on us. My food was just okay. I ordered the Halibut and Chips and my fries were a little too salty. Not only that but half my plate was filled with fries and I receive 5 small pieces of fish. The batter didn't really have any flavor to be honest. My family's favorite out of all the food we ordered was the Lobster Mac & Cheese and also the Maple Bacon Deviled Eggs. Overall, it was a nice first try but I don't think we would come back very frequently based on the price.

Yelp
Yeah, despite no indication on Yelp, this placed was CLOSED. The entire Level 4 at Nordstrom, where it is located, totally inaccessible. Thanks for NOTHING, Yelp!

Yelp
After a hot and stressful day of shopping and getting around the city, we were at the mall and wanted a refreshing cocktail. Finding the restaurant was a bit taxing since we were not familiar with the store/mall but we made it. Tried 2 of the happy hour drinks and they were perfect. Just what i was looking for. Didnt try any food but others at the bar were enjoying some delicious burgers and tacos. Be aware, the tacos are really tostadas!

Yelp
Being from Texas it's strange to see vaccination be required to enter the restaurant. But we complied and are glad we did, the food was great but our server was even better... wish I could remember her name! We were there for lunch and they were so fast, so clean, so professional.

Yelp
For a department store restaurant, food was very good. Service was top notched. Ordered hamburger and was cooked to order. Also had the halibut and chips, which was also quite good.

Yelp
Great food and ambiance. My coworkers all enjoyed the drinks here too. I appreciated being seated by the window that overlooks the street. I felt so Anne-Hathaway-learning-to-be-a-princess. Would recommend.

Yelp
Came here for lunch before a show at the Golden Gate theatre. The place Was packed for lunch. We ordered a burger, Mediterranean dish and some lobster bisque soup. The soup was excellent. I enjoyed the flavor texture and consistency. The burger I wasn't that impressed with. I didn't care for the Mediterranean dish at all. Service was good.

Yelp
[From a pre-show visit on 11/1/2021 **Important: the restaurant is closing at 6:30 PM many days of the week due to Covid**] Had a wonderful dinner earlier this month at Bazille. The food is always great here and never disappoints so this review is for the service we received. We arrived early and wanted to have a quiet, paced dinner and not be rushed. We told our server, Jessica, that we would appreciate having everything paced so that we could enjoy 4 courses without food showing up while we still were eating a previous course. What can I say, Jessica executed to perfection! Her anticipation skills were exemplary and she was able to accommodate special requests with kindness and without hesitation. The dinner was perfect. If you are dining at Bazille, by all means ask for Jessica!
