"Located in Sugar Land’s Town Center, this Berg Hospitality restaurant offers a large menu of classic Italian offerings in an upbeat, family-friendly environment. Start with the focaccia service, which is presented with a variety of oils and spreads, and then choose from classic entrees like rigatoni with vodka sauce, spaghetti pomodoro, and a whopping 20-layer lasagna." - Brittany Britto Garley, Megha McSwain

"After its short run in Memorial, Berg Hospitality reimagined B.B. Italia and moved it into its new home in Sugar Land’s Town Center. The unapologetically Italian bistro and bar showcases classic plates like clams casino, prosciutto di parma, and 20-layer lasagna made with fresh, house-made pasta." - Megha McSwain, Rebecca Deurlein

It is a beautiful restaurant. Things seem to be clean. However, the food there is TERRIBLE. I ordered minestrone soup as the appetizer and a tricolor salad as main course. The soup was good but the portion was small. The salad was such a disappointment! It was not only small, but also NOT FRESH. The amount felt like a quarter of a salad bag you can get from supermarket. And on top of all that, it cost 19 bucks before tax! Anyone can make a better version of the food at home. My kid’s spaghetti was also yucky. We ordered a meat sauce but it came with creamy pink sauce, and didn’t taste tomato-y at all. How can you mess up a spaghetti with meat sauce? I will never come back to this place or recommend it to anyone. Stay away!

Food was delicious, service was wonderful. The ambiance was really nice. I got the basil pesto pasta and it was so good. I tried my cousins vodka rigatoni and it was also very delicious. I got the tiramisu to top off my evening and it was so so so good and not very sweet which is my type of dessert. Can’t wait to come back.

Love this place. The decor makes the dining shiny and cozy. Service is really good; they are sweet, funny and friendly. Food is good (depends on what you ordered) my caprese, beet salads, clam pasta were all good. My friend complained about her mussels a bit salty. Minestrone is watery. Chicken parmesan is good. Basil pesto is super tasty. Cheesecake is a must to try. So far we love this place and will come back to try other dishes.

Very classy feeling place. We went thinking they had happy hour, but they were more of a restaurant than a bar vibe. We sat on the patio since it was a nice day. Everything we ordered was delicious. The staff was very attentive and pleasant.

First time here and probably not the last time, the place is amazing, the food is delicious, the bread is to die for, the pasta made daily and it is yummy!! Piano player played really nice selection of music, overall 45 minutes drive, worth every minute!

We celebrated our marriage anniversary lunch at BB Italia in Sugarland today .As this was our first visit to this restaurant; we played “ safe “ and ordered some basics … starters was bread with Ricotta cheese , sub sandwich & a basic olive oil based , linguine pasta with chicken . Pros : the restaurant has a beautiful ambience . It’s located at the heart of Sugarland town centre , with indoor & outdoor seating . We came in the afternoon, so got no music but loved the ambience . Con’s : the quality of Italian cooking & food in general. I have travelled extensively to France & Italy … also work with New York office .. so have a fair idea about what good Italian food really is . In this restaurant, none of the dishes are tasty. In the starter , the bread does not pair well with the ricotta ( herbs in both should blend well). In the pasta .. the linguine & grilled chicken don’t talk . In the sub , the bread is hard & stale … it does not taste well with the ingredients. Lack of detailing in cooking . 🧑‍🍳 but price is that of a high end boutique restaurant. Overall … I believe ; there are two types of restaurants in this world 🌎. One which is driven by an investor = bad food but good ambience . Other is driven by a passionate business men with soul = ok ambience ; but great food . BB Italian goes in the first category … soul is missing !! We were not happy with the food . Maybe will never come back here ; as good quality food is important to us . Also … the restaurant owners should be careful . Sugarland is a place in the suburbs of Houston , where home owners live for decades .. so quality is important here than quantity / ambience ( unlike NYC who has tourists every day ) ( gave my heartfelt review ! Hope the restaurant invests time on hiring better chefs & improving food quality )

Google
We really want to like this restaurant. It is close to home, and it SHOULD be wonderful. It isn't. Bottom line: 👎👎 Food has come to the table cold on our last two visits (mussels on two occasions, and the most recent trip linguine with clam sauce. ) The linguine with clam sauce was cold and had NO sauce when it was first served. It was sent back, and took so long that I finished my meal before it was returned to the table. When it returned, it was inedible. It seemed the kitchen staff was feeling a little spicey and thought they would have some fun with the meal...picture is attached of the pool of clam sauce. We want to have a nice Italian restaurant so close to our home. I think we have given up on this one.

A great restaurant in Sugar Land town square. Great for family and friends's meeting. Thanks Mike for taking care of our table. He is sweet and thoughtful. Love all people who are working here. Food is great. Live music during the dinner time. I had great time with friends.

Yelp
Everything was outstanding from the time we were greeted at the door. Friendly staff, attractive, clean, and comfortable environment; great food! Spaghetti: Delicious! Cheesecake: Smooth and delightful! Dalton and Ahlam were professional, pleasant, attentive, and simply EXCEPTIONAL at their jobs! This is easily one of our new favorite spots.

Yelp
Barely mediocre. We ordered two appetizers and three entrees. Meatballs were good but the focaccia was dense and bland. Carbonara tasted like it had no egg and was also flavorless. Bolognese supposed to be a heavy meat sauce. Barely any meat, imbalanced in quantity with the pasta and again flavorless. Ravioli decent but cream sauce was too light and watery, did not stick to the pasta. The price for all this mediocre food was outrageous! Akin to fine dining prices. I suppose we are in the era of restaurants talking a big game and presentation only to serve up marginal, weak food and expecting that people won't know any better. It's also wide open, no ceilings, no booths, and loud as a rock concert. No privacy, intimacy whatsoever. Avoid this place.

Yelp
Food overall is okay while the presentation not consistent. Ordered lamb shank in 2 different occasions, they looked very different. Services can be improved. Do watch out additional "non-cash" surcharge the restaurant sneaked on the tab when pay with credit card. This is the 1st I've seen at restaurant at this caliber.

Yelp
This apparently is a duplicate account and not the "official" BB Italia Yelp review page. Nonetheless, I'll repost my review to help anyone out and prevent them from wasting time and money. This is already pretty long so I'll spare the entire headache I endured and try to sum it up. Service is horribly slow. Took almost an hour to the dot (4:47pm-5:42pm) for an order of kids chicken strips and a cheese pizza to come out. I placed my order at 4:47pm. Ticket time shows it was submitted at 4:49pm. The restaurant was almost empty until about 5:15pm! I did not get my food until 5:42pm! I was my waiter's only table. He wasn't doing anything but talking to his coworkers at the bar! He didn't seem to want to do his job, nor did he care about his appearance. It was just a really disgusting and super disappointing experience all around. Food is subpar. I waited an hour for my food and it comes out tasting like something you'd get at a dive bar. You're seriously better off going to NY Pizzeria or even Olive Garden. Also, they do charge a 3.5% charge for using your credit card but don't tell you about it. Benjamin Berg, train your staff please. My waiter looked as if he just rolled out of bed. His hair was a mess, his glasses were dirty, his shirt was extremely wrinkled, and his baggy jeans were too. That's not "the look" I'm expecting to see at what's supposed to be an "upscale" restaurant. None of that might have not mattered to me had he actually came back around to my table after taking my order. (He even did that 7 minutes after I got there.) When a table gets sat, they should be greeted and drink order should be taken almost immediately. Food runners are support staff, they're not there to do the waiters job for them. (However, today 5/7, they did 110% better than my waiter.) When your guest gets their food, your waiter should be at the table asking the guests did they receive everything and is there anything they need? Then followed up by 2 bites 2 minutes. Within 2 bites or two minutes of receiving the food, the waiter should be back at the table making sure everything tastes as it should. ESPECIALLY IF THEY ONLY HAVE ONE TABLE! Tell me why, in over an hours time, my waiter only came to my table ONCE!? What gossip at the bar was so damn good that he couldn't at least send over another waiter? I'm not coming back here and I'm not recommending this place to anyone either. It was a complete let down all around.

Yelp
Stumbled in this place one night and was pleasantly surprised. Pizza was great and the pasta is even better. The make their own pasta in house.

Yelp
I went here with my friend and yet we are only teens we were not treated correctly. He completely ignored my friend and didn't even give her the chance to order, he took mine and walked away. After we got him and ordered her order, they came out at different times and mine was not fresh and cold and hers came out about 10 minutes later fresh and hot. He did not come over to check on us and the food took way to long to come out. They also had no change. I would not recommend the sugar land b.b Italia. As well as not recommending the server we had Amir P.
