The 20 Best Things to Eat at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim | Eater LA

"There are so many things to love about Plaza Inn’s fried chicken, not the least of which is that the quick-service restaurant usually has plentiful seating, making it a good place to sit, take a break, and take in a view of Sleeping Beauty Castle. The fried chicken plate has been a mainstay at Disneyland since day 1, and it’s a reliably good and hearty meal, with three pieces of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, and a biscuit. It’s a pretty big, shareable portion but the chicken can also be ordered a la carte." - Julie Tremaine

Google
The food has a truly distinct taste that is a throwback to South Korea... it is definitely seasoned for American taste which is what makes this place so awesome! Definitely recommend bb.q Chicken for hospitality to unique twists on a traditional menu.

Google
One of the fastest store i know for fried chicken. It tends to get busy during lunch hour as everything is made to order and definitely worth the wait. Recommend their original and spicy chicken as well as their rosé teottbokki.

Jacob Bramos

Google
Best Korean barbecue out there! Was told when in Cali this is the place to go. Sort of like a fast food sit down. Very affordable and very filling.

Google
One of my favorite spots to eat. Noah is our favorite staff member, so helpful and knowledgeable. My go-to’s are the Gangnam wings or the bulgogi bowl

Google
We had the honey garlic wings and the galbi wings. Not only were these the best Asian wings we’ve ever had, but I would put them in my top five wings of all time. The place is very clean inside. Great menu. The pickled radish side was really good. The guy behind the counter was very personable, very knowledgeable, and very helpful. We will eat here every time we come to Los Angeles.

Google
This place is amazing! I always make food at home because the majority of take out restaurants can't get the right combination of freshness, flavor, and crispness. This is the only place I've ordered from for years. They have perfected the art of fried chicken. Every bite makes you want to take another. I recommend the boneless original and special house sauce. Just writing this is making me want to order it right now.

Google
The portions are good, especially for the price. The chicken was really good, specifically mala flavor. It's good if you can handle heat, but it's not too crazy or overpowered. They provided gloves to eat with and the staff was very nice and friendly definitely will come back again if I'm in the area.

Yelp
I always get the kimchi fried rice, it's one of my comfort foods. It's very yummy !! The rice is always very fresh, I've never gotten an order where the food tasted old or refried. The egg that they include is also very delicious every time and perfectly cooked.

Yelp
Disclaimer: my kids say that I over hype everything. That being said, I'm more than a little disappointed that I haven't had better chicken in my 43 years on this Earth. Fried crispy on the outside, hot and juicy on the inside, and so ridiculously flavorful. Portion sizes are larger than we expected, so we ordered probably double what we needed when we got two whole chicken orders for four people. The original crispy chicken is like a revelation - it's exactly what all fried chicken should be. The secret sauce is somewhat sweet and spicy, but neither of those aspects overpowered the savory base of the sauce. The kimchi fried rice was also unreal, with the color and flavor that indicated nuclear levels of heat, but only a slight spiciness was actually present (maybe a 2 on a scale of 10). Service was also great, with the young woman that was running the front doing a great job of handling all the orders that came in while remaining attentive and warm. As far as the character and ambiance, I found those less impressive but adequate. The store was clean and the music was inoffensive, while the lighting was somehow both harsh and too dim. But seriously, with chicken this good, who cares? And they seem to have a good system for takeout, so you can easily choose to eat your chicken in the comfort of your own home.

Yelp
I am very familiar with Korean cooking a family member is married to a Korean. I have been here twice. The first time I couldn't rave enough about then. The second time I ordered the same chicken, but added the ddeok bokki which was excellent. The chicken was a little bit undercooked and the sauce was sparing, giving it a not sogreat taste. I understand anyone can have a bad day and be rushed, however, be consistent and do not sacrifice the taste. I know they get better because I had it. I never sat there, but it looks like a typical lunchtime fast food place. I definitely will be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Second time here while visiting area. So many chicken wing flavors to choose from! Complimentary small shredded lettuce/dressing with peanuts and mozzerella sticks arrive immediately. We also ordered onion rings which was a huge amount. Onion rings came out crispy with a nice spiced batter. We ordered some beers on tap that came out in nice cold mugs. Our chicken wings arrived in good time and tasted very good. The service is very, very good. Clean location.

Yelp
I've always been a fan of bb.q! I've been to a few locations now. This location is good! Clean, a lot of tables, friendly and efficient service, good food. Bb.q is pretty consistent which I love! For those who haven't tried korean fried chicken, this is definitely a great place to do it.
google avatar

Douglas S.

Yelp
The flavors are so authentic. The staff is extremely competent and friendly and the service is top notch. If you're teetering on getting food from bb.q or not then I'll tell you we've never once had a bad meal or any drama. There's plenty of seating inside or do what we do and take it home for a movie night!!! Five out of five stars

Yelp
When my boyfriend (now husband) was stationed in Korea, he lived off base, and BB.Q Chicken was down the street from his condo. Every time I visited, we'd walk down to grab some chicken, so this is a nostalgic spot. When we learned that bb.q Chicken was opening in Anaheim, we were so happy but also skeptical. FOOD: Okay, they don't have all the flavors that they do in the tiny little Pyeongtaek location, but I'll take what I can have. The GOLDEN ORIGINAL is too plain and boring for me, it's not bad, but it's just not what I'm looking for. The SPICY GALBI is smoky and weirdly tastes like galbi lol I enjoyed it though. The GANGNAM STYLE is probably my favorite flavor! The black pepper sauce and spice level is something I can totally handle. Definitely need to have some Tums after eating these haha SERVICE: Everytime I had BB.Q Chicken, I just ordered online and picked it up at the store. The girls that work at the register were nice and straight to the point. I don't expect super-friendly service at a place like this. The spot we went to in Korea was owned by an old guy, and the shop was in his garage, so this is definitely a step up. ATMOSPHERE: They have K-Pop playing on the TVs, of course. There's tons of seating inside, surprisingly although I hardly saw anyone sitting inside when I went. But I did only go during the day. Will I return? YEAH!

Yelp
Since my first visit here, it's changed my outlook on simply getting takeout for KFC, instead of dining in. The food is always fresh, chicken fried to perfection. Service is pretty good, you just have to ask for everything you need when they check on you, but they're nice about it. bb.q is very consistent in their quality, which I appreciate.
google avatar

Yelp
Great quality food. And plenty of sauce choices. Would definitely recommend checking them out if you are in the area by one of their locations.

Yelp
First timers tonight, my husband and I wanted to start small to see if we liked it. We got the bulgogi bowl and 8 piece boneless spicy chicken. It met all of our standards of delicious, we wanted to go back and buy more but they were about to close, we didn't want to hold up the kind gentleman who helped us out. Great service and clean restaurant. We will be back!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Best chicken wings I've ever had! We always get the Honey Garlic. Friendly service too!

Yelp
Very friendly & the food was delicious. Portions are great for the price ! Chicken was crunchy & well flavored. The Kim chi pasta is a must!

Yelp
Every single time we visit, its been awesome. Chicken and fries always cooked to perfection, plenty of flavors to choose from so you won't get bored. Friendly staff, plenty of parking.

Yelp
So...Mom is an avid K-drama fan and she's fascinated with how each series features actors chowing on seemingly delicious foods. We were casually shopping nearby this spot and she spotted this place. "Ooooh we should try it!" Firstly, we were attended by a slightly surly server who seemed irritated that we were there. You know the type: just order, pay and get out. Fortunately a very gentlemanly server took over once our order was ready. He was nice and thoughtful, checked on us, gave us a little salad and a complimentary sauce to try. Saved the experience, buddy! Just saying! The chicken is fried to order so don't be angry if it takes quite a few minutes for it to get to your table. TBH it lacked flavor. Tip: order one with a sauce, not the golden original and get some sides to go with it. The place is small but clean and there's plenty of parking in the lot. And if you're lucky, you'll get the server to took care of us so kindly.

Yelp
Chicken is good 4.5/5 for original and spicy Ambiance is a 3.5/5 and service is 4.5/5. The side dish they give is too small 4/5.
google avatar

Gill M.

Yelp
Food is delicious! Soy garlic and galbi wings were so tasty amd crispy. We ordered bulgogi rice bowl as well and it was huge and fresh (not oily). Payed about $53 for total of: bulgogi ricr bowl, 16 pcs chicken wings, and sweet potato fries. Ambiance is casual. A lot of tvs available with enough seating. Went on a weekday evening. Plenty of parking in plaza. Customer service was okay. Cashier may have been tired, which affected service and patience to answer our questions. Food came out in about 20+ minutes. Would recommend trying it out!

Yelp
Rose Tteokbokki with Cheese: This was the best tteokbokki I have ever had as of 1/27/24. It feels like I am eating cheese fondue at a ski lodge with how tender the rice cakes are. Cheesling Fries: There are a lot of fries. Gangnam Style Chicken: The chicken is nicely moist at the center. I won't be purchasing this flavor again because while it was good, it wasn't something I would gravitate to again respectfully. I'm speculating that their other flavors might be more delicious but this is just speculation.

Yelp
This is the new KFC- Korean Fried Chicken! I just love the original olive chicken. Service is quick and prompt and premises is very clean!

Tena H.

Yelp
Great food. Friendly service. It is best to order beforehand and go pick up, as they do take a while to fry your chicken, and the place gets very crowded. Everything I've had so far is wonderful. Working my way through all the chicken flavors. The Bulgogi rice bowl is delicious and enough for at least three servings. The pickled radish is an addiction for me now, and I always order extra.

Yelp
My original Fav KFC aka Korean Fried Chicken. We'd usually go to the Bueno Park location but was super happy to hear. A BBQ opened up in Anaheim. What we ordered ~Ddeok-Bokki ~Soy Garlic Wings, is a must and our go to. All of the family loves these. Finger licking good. Wings are a good size portion. Soft & tender, fried to it's delicious core. ~Sweet Potato Service was great. We did a phone in order and it was ready when arrived. Restaurant is clean and have plenty of seatings inside. Standard Chicken style decor. Replaced the Starbucks that use to be here. Located in same plaza as 99 Ranch market, next door to Daiso. Lots of Parking available.

Matthew D.

Yelp
Chicken is really good. The restaurant would get five stars if they started offering free refills in soft drinks. Would gladly pay $3 for it.
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
I went here for lunch. The food tasted great, no complaint there. Service was good. However later in the day I got really sick. I could not stop throwing up for the rest of the night. I know it was the chicken because it was the only meal I had for the entire day. Just be careful, maybe it was a one off. I won't be going back.

Yelp
I LOVE LOVE LOVEE THEIR KOREAN CHICKEN!!! reco would be honey garlic chicken and Secret Sauce ‍‍‍ They always make their chicken freshly cooked and istg its absolutely delicious! The store itself is clean, bathroom too is clean, and they have tv entertainment that just makes ur dinning experience better! Service is good, although chicken will be like served in about 15-20 mins. Which is absolutely understandable, unless you order ahead of time that would work out as well. Overall i recommend this restaurant ‍

Yelp
Our server Jocelyn was amazing! She took the time to explain the menu as it was our first time there. She made great suggestions. The food was SO GOOD! The kimchi fried rice was very flavorful and just the right amount of spice. Plenty of veggies. The Caribbean spice wings were so crispy. The sauce was great. Reasonably priced. They are open later than many restaurants in the area. We will definitely be back!

Jermaine R.

Yelp
The chicken was so delicious. Crispy and flavorful. I was curling my toes every bite I took.
google avatar

Vic V.

Yelp
Came here for dinner and asked the girl at the cashier what she recommended. She was very helpful and I went with the Gaegjong wings with a side of zucchini fries. At $15 for 8 wings I thought it was a bit pricey although I'm not sure what the average is for Korean chicken. The wings weren't small and the zucchini portion was pretty generous, enough that I couldn't finish it. The chicken was tender and the flavor was sweet with just a little kick. Paying about $25 for one person is a bit steep for casual dining but because it was fresh, tasty and filling, I would go back. It's a small place facing Euclid near Jolibee. The inside has a few TVs and several tables to eat. The staff there was nice and polite.

Yelp
I have been to three other bb.q chicken locations. This location is by far the best!! The staff was super nice when I walked through the door. The chicken pieces are very large and they are cooked to perfection. I could tell from the first bite that the whole meal was going to hit the spot. 10/10 recommend

Yelp
People who know me, know that out of all the Korean fried chicken places out there, bbq chicken has always been my favorite. However, having been to so many locations there are only 3 locations that are good. This location in particular has become my favorite out of the 3 good ones. The spicy original wings are always super crispy and have the perfect ratio of batter and chicken with just the right amount of kick from the spice. We got their rose ddeok bokki and added cheese and this dish is delicious, rice cake is the perfect texture. We also got their sweet potato fries, which were crispy. I literally found out about this location 2 weeks ago and have been here once each week. I would definitely try this location out if you are also a fan like me. Service here is also a plus because staff are super nice and attentive.

Yelp
Fresh, crispy, delectable Korean Fried Chicken! So tasty! Love the original , honey garlic and the cheese! Yummy!!!!!!

Yelp
The hype is real, y'all. My friend and I came on a Friday night. The place itself is super clean and we were greeted upon arrival and sat down right away as there were plenty of seats still available early evening. There were LOTS of people doing to-go orders, so that was a good sign that this place was that good. We got a couple of wing orders and a rose ddeokbokki. The ddeokbokki is a must - super flavorful. I love that it's just the perfect amount of spice and creaminess. The rice cake is cooked well too - not overly chewy. I really loved dipping my wings in the sauce also as the ddeokbokki is really saucy, almost watery. For the wings, we tried galbi and spicy original. Galbi was alright, it was definitely saucy and reminded me of bbq sauce cooked over a grill, however the flavor didn't really give me galbi. It was giving more...american bbq? Like a smokiness. I would definitely get the spicy original wings again. So juicy, the perfect amount of spicy, crunchy, it was literally the perfect spicy wing. My only con for this place would be that it's rather pricey... We only got three items and we paid about $50 with tip. Also wanted to mention the people working there are super friendly and attentive. They checked up on us and constantly filled up our waters. I will be back!!!

Yelp
My wife and I love bbq. Chicken in general, we enjoyed every dine in experience in all location we've been, but this location in particular is our favorite, the ambience is clean, the service is quick, server Hannah is very accommodating. In this location they always make sure the chicken js fully coated with the sauce, specially the cheeseling flavor, because it can be a little tricky, but with this location the cheeseling is really oozing with cheese and the portioning is very generous.

Yelp
Last night, on Sunday, 5/26/24, my friends and I had the most awkward and uncomfortable experience at this location. After a long shift, we just wanted to enjoy a meal. We ordered at 9:11 PM, but our food took forever to come out. They were busy with to-go orders, so we waited patiently. Our food came out piece by piece, and they even forgot one of our wing order. When we asked about it, they asked if we still wanted it since they were closing soon. Of course, we wanted it--we had been waiting 45 minutes! Instead of serving us properly, they kicked us out at 10 PM, packing our remaining food to go when we had already eaten 75% of our meal. When I asked why our order took so long, the server just kept repeating that they closed at 10 PM. No explanation, no apology, just excuses. We used to love this place, but after this disgusting service, we'll be going to the new BBQ chicken location in Garden Grove instead.

Yelp
Located in a large lot, but the actual restaurant is in the corner where parking is a bit tight. This was formally a starbucks and now you're next korean friend chicken hot spot! Came in on a weekday at 9pm and was greeted kindly. Our server explained the entire menu to us and some of his favorites picks. I noticed the drinks weren't on the menu, but they do serve soda and alcohol. The alcohol is Soju or Beer and is currently 30% off (Soju cost $12, but after discount is $9). The interior was very clean and simple with multiple TVs to watch your sports. We ordered two small wings (8pcs each) with Soy Garlic and Spicy Original as our choices. Traditionally Korean fried chicken comes with cabbage and radish on the house, but at BB.Q Chicken you get peanuts as the complimentary appetizer. Unfortunately, if you like radish, there is a $1 charge as they are prepacked in small cups (a bit dry). Each 8pc comes with 4 drums and 4 flats. Keep in mind the food is made fresh, we waited about 20minutes for our chicken to come out. Soy Garlic (comes wet) was a bit salty for my likings, I kind of got over it after the 2nd piece. It's very puffy, sticky and felt like a big layer to get through til you reached the meat. Spicy Original (comes dry and is pretty much the Golden Original with a kick) was more to my likings. Simple with a slight light spice. I enjoyed this flavor much better than the Soy Garlic flavor. You can also choose another sauce on the side free of charge (either secret sauce or spicy sauce), but they will charge you for the 2nd sauce on the side if ordered. You cannot pick any other sauces listed for the other wings aside from those 2 which was unfortunate as I wanted to try the "Wings of Fire" flavor -- their hottest. The Spicy sauce came in a small cup, very thick and saucy (like the sweet and sour texture). We also had the French Fries which was a great size to share, probably solid for 3 people. These were crispy and airy and just the right size. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and the kind service, but I wasn't blown away. They do close at 10:00PM and last call is at 9:30PM.

Yelp
We love this place!!! Awesome portions and decent prices. Typically get the Caribbean rub and honey garlic for pick up.

Yelp
The cashier not is accomodating at all. Cant refund the chicken i bought the taste is not good.

Yelp
Food I will give four stars but service 5 stars. Both the young lady and the gentleman was super polite and ready to help
google avatar

Nelson F.

Yelp
Tasty hot prepared to order. I ordered the 6 piece Golden whole chicken. It was ready within 15 minutes. Tasty. The restaurant is clean and the service was friendly.

Chloe C.

Yelp
Our family loved this Bbq location compared to others in the Anaheim area. My kids aren't really fans of fried chicken, but absolutely loved the boneless honey garlic chicken. Personally, I thought the secret sauce was my fav! The location has a lot of seating, great for kids, and was very clean. Very kind employees and will definitely come again sometime soon!
google avatar

J D.

Yelp
The food was excellent as always and the service very attentive. We ordered the honey garlic chicken. It had a tiny kick but that's how I like it. Very nice and crispy. We will be back!

Yhayie O.

Yelp
The chicken is very good and juicy. But, this is the only chicken place that will charge you for ranch sauce.
google avatar

Jenn H.

Yelp
Portions were amazing and the fried chicken came out steaming hot! We also got tteokbokki and it tasted great (highly recommend it). I appreciate that they give you plastic gloves so you don't get your fingers dirty either. For sauce, we got the honey garlic and though the flavor itself is nice, it was more on the dry side. It needed more sauce as some of the chicken wasn't coated. The batter on some of the pieces were also too thick. The girls working there were friendly though and we were greeted right away.
google avatar

Marlene M.

Yelp
New spot opened on Euclid next to 99 ranch! This spot is much more bigger than other locations and instead of ordering then sitting down, hostess will greet you and seat you like an actual restaurant. I also like this location because they give you disposable gloves!! I haven't seen that yet so that's pretty unique and saves your fingers from all of that oil. I got an order of fries and half of a whole chicken with bone in of the original which is my favorite flavor! I have tried the other flavors but I'm not really adventurous. They also give you a side of radish for taste. I will say the fries here are a lot better than other locations - crispy and they changed their seasoning and consistency because it tasted a lot better this time around!

Yelp
Delivery experience : I wanted to leave this review by first saying thank you for the note attached with my order stating that what I requested wasn't with your company policy but yet you guys accommodated just for this one time. I appreciate that! Food : I love that the fried chicken is crispy & fresh. I can def taste the quality. Being Korean myself I love to support my people, but also leave an honest review. & this joint doesn't disappoint. This is my second time ordering delivery from bb.q chicken. I still have yet to visit & dine here. But til then delivery will do, as it arrives still hot, juicy, & crispy! - From a foodie to another, give this place a try!
google avatar

Theresa B.

Yelp
Okay, so I love good fried chicken!!! They do NOT disappoint!! The chicken is tender and I found the service on both my visits to be fast and pleasant. In regards to ambiance, it's the standard quick stop place- TV's for entertainment and very clean. I love that I can do a phone order- They have a great lunch special for $12.99 (6 pieces and a side). We came back for dinner on another day and just got the wings. Again delicious!! My only complaint is that there is not an option to mix the flavors. Maybe not on the small but if you do a medium would be nice to get two flavors- We will be back for sure!
google avatar

Thuytran L.

Yelp
Really good chicken place if you looking for a Korean fried chicken. It has a restaurant and fast food kind of vibe. Staff is nice. Service is fast. They don't really check up on you so you have to go up and pay. I like the soy garlic chicken here. Would recommend. I want to come back to try others
google avatar

Linda V.

Yelp
Went to Smart & Final nearby today after work and decided to pick up some take out to try their galbi boneless 8 piece to pair with some salad I made once I got home. Reheated two pieces in my air fryer for 5 minutes and voila, instant dinner. Phone in order takes 15 minutes for completion. Not bad. Service was good and the place on a Friday evening is empty with basically just take out orders. Solid food, convenient location, ample parking, decent price point. I'm finding out Korean fried chicken is a thing and featured on k dramas but I could give a rat's. I don't watch Korean dramas. I'm just here for the chicken and among the other 2 places in the area I have tried (koko in garden grove and another one a few blocks down called chic king) this one has the most options and is best.
google avatar

Kathy L.

Yelp
Honey garlic was good. Opted for the boneless. Casual place to eat. Staff was nice. Recommend for KFC. Would come back. I think it would be one of my go to

Yelp
First of all let me tell you about the "CUSTOMER SERVICE"!! We walked in during lunch time and the internet/register was down. The young lady asked if we could wait to see if it should be back online as she could not take our order. The manager/cook from the back (Tall Korean Fellow) came out and decided to take our order and stated we could pay after the fact. THAT RIGHT THERE, WAS AN EXTRA STEP THAT MEANT everything to me, who just trusted us enough and let us enjoy our food. Here is what we got : 1. Sweet Potato Fries = 10/10 2. Half & Half Wings = 10/10 3. Teokbokki - 10/10 Everything came out nice and hot, i mean hot hot!! The wings were cooked right, nice and juicy along with being extra crunchy. The Teokbokki, which we ordered 2 was sooooooooo good! I could eat the whole bowl by myself LOL. The ambiance is really cute and nice. The service was great and I will be sure to visit again! Thank you again for having us, we really did enjoy ourselves!
