First, the food, while a little pricey, was delicious as usual! My food was hot and fresh when I got back home to eat it! The people behind the counter seem to understand the importance of being friendly and helpful! Overall, quite a positive experience!

We thoroughly enjoyed the juicy yet crunchy Korean fried chicken, chicken and rice, and waffle fries. Service was very friendly and prompt. And the place was clean and neat. Highly recommended!

Quick and friendly service! The food was really good, and, while a little pricier, the chicken was HUGE. They played music that wasn’t too loud.

Ganjeong and honey garlic wings are really tasty. The kimchi fried rice was also good

My Chicken was nice and crispy (soy garlic) how their original was only a little crispy. As for flavor, it was ok, it felt like it was missing some oomph. If you're going to order i recommend ordering ahead as they have a ton of orders.

Best wings you can get in Jamaica Plain! If you ever had super crispy Korean wings, you are in for a treat. I would say I can't get into the Cheesling wings - the sweet cheesy taste just didn't work for me. Spicy wings were unflinchingly spicy for spice devils out there. The Korean Fried Rice and Dedok-Bokki were amazing. Be warned, these are AUTHENTIC Korean flavors that might be a intense for the tamer American palate.

Having enjoyed BBQ Chicken's food before, I was excited to see a new location open in Jamaica Plain. I've ordered takeout from this spot multiple times, and overall, the quality lives up to my expectations. The chicken wings are as crispy and delicious as I remember. I've tried the Honey Garlic, Galbi, Gangnam Style, and Secret Sauce flavors, with the Gangnam Style and Secret Sauce wings standing out as favorites. That said, the other flavors were just as tasty and well-prepared. We also ordered the Chicken Kimchi Fried Rice, which was a bit underwhelming. The kimchi flavor didn't come through as much as I'd hoped, and the chicken was slightly overcooked. On the other hand, the Mala Ddeokbokki with Cheese was a standout. It was spicier than I remembered but absolutely delicious. The combination of heat and gooey cheese made it a perfect option for those who love bold, spicy flavors. While I haven't dined in yet, I've been consistently happy with the quality of the takeout. BBQ Chicken's crispy wings and flavorful dishes make it a reliable go-to, and I'll definitely be ordering from here again.

This is hands down the best Korean fried chicken in Boston. I’m Korean and grew up eating countless plates of fried chicken, both in Korea and here in the U.S. I’ve also tried several bb.q locations across New England. I know every bb.q branch follows the same recipe to maintain consistency, but somehow, the Jamaica Plain location always tastes better. The chicken here is crispier, juicier, and feels freshly made every time—maybe it’s the way they fry it or how they time everything just right. The Ddeok-Bokki is also perfectly cooked—the ddeok (rice cakes) are never too hard or too mushy. On top of that, the owner and staff are always warm, welcoming, and genuinely care about the customer experience.

I like all the different flavors but the most I like secret sauce is the best ! There are a lot different side orders plus you can get steam rice or kimchi fries rice and pickles radish is so good match with spicy bbq chicken.

Delicious especially considering we got delivery for wings! As other folks have noted, the wings were perfectly crispy even on delivery (thank you for the confidence, yelpers!). We got the Gangnam style wings and there were 8 pieces in a small size. Saucy, peppery wings with a crisp covering and plenty of meat beneath. Our other order, the creamy version of ddeokbokki was also good. I didn't expect it to have a kick because it was described as creamy but that sauce had spice! Looking forward to trying other wings flavors because they have plenty of options! Wish they did a mix and match where you could get like 4 flavors of 2 wings each. That would be an in-demand combo!

It's shocking how crispy and fresh our wings were via delivery: not easy to do, but they have it down to a science. That plus a super easy online ordering platform, and a seamless delivery, means this is an excellent choice for when you don't feel like leaving your house. We tried the bone-in galbi, soy garlic, and hot mala, all of which were full of flavor and had a mix of flats and drums. Their batter is crackly and bubbly and plentiful (differs from other KFC chains like Bonchon), smothered in the sauce/flavor of your choice, with juicy chicken underneath with perfectly rendered fat. You'd think the sauce would de-crispify the wings- but nope, no soggy wings here (though the waffle fries we got on the side were pretty soggy, so keep that in mind). They have lots of flavors to choose from, plus a few sides to round out the menu (though very little healthy/veggie options FYI). If you're craving wings, this is a great option.

Terrible. Ordered on DoorDash so I don't know if that makes a difference. I ordered the bulgogi rice, I've had bulgogi before.. this was not it. It was ground beef, rice, soy sauce and onions. I also got the honey garlic wings but there's breaded you couldn't taste chicken. Overall a rough one. Would not go here again unless there was natural disaster and I forced to

I ordered take out. The food was made on time for pick up. I ordered the boneless 8 piece honey garlic boneless chicken and the cheesling fries I just had to try it. Chicken was tasty and crispy just how I like it. The fries were yummy too that cheesy powder had me cheesing. The late night meal did not disappoint. I would definitely order again. Maybe I'll try the other flavors. They have jerk wings which shall be interesting. Can't wait to try.

Pretty hard to give stars when you're unable to try the food because literally every item says it isn't allergy safe on the major allergens. Not sure how fried chicken contains soy, dairy, egg, peanut, tree nut, sesame, gluten, etc. and the staff won't explain ingredients. If you have food allergies or sensitivities, you're not going to find any options here.

Service was not that fast, but food made up for it. Boneless chicken is flavorful and has a good crunch. Tteokbokki was great as well!

We are big Korean fried chicken fans so we were excited ti have a Korean chicken restaurant in the neighborhood. However after this evening's experience we won't be back. The food is mediocre at best and it took over 1/2 an hour to get part of our order. Another 10-15 minutes to get the rest of the food. Unremarkable two servings of boneless chicken with two drinks and a side of fries for $50! There's far better Korean chicken restaurants in the Boston area. Another annoyance: There was a shrill alarm going off throughout much of our visit making it even more difficult to enjoy our meal.

Taste good but cost a 15 bucks an order for 8 wings... cold , awful coleslaw. Took a longtime but nice delivery person. Not a full fan.

This places food is super delicious i recommend the chicken sandwich,all though i did have to wait a long time for my food to come out, staff were nice and they played kid friendly

JP has lots of fine eateries in this area. This looks to be fast food, but it is not fast. The service was polite but bumbling (they chose my side dish without letting me choose.). I got the Chicken sandwich -- chicken OK, not delish. Bun OK, not special, Sauce Ok - long not great after taste. Side sauce nasty. Fries OK, not special. Below the level of other restaurants in the neighborhood. Range of drinks with the sandwich lunch limited.
