Google
Delicious, better garnished tteoboki than other BBQS Ive been to. Very small location , not for huge dine in crowd. But service is good quick qnd the food is on point.

Google
The food was so good. It’s about a 15 minute drive, and the food was still hot. The rose tteokbokki was so creamy and had a kick to it, while the honey garlic chicken was amazingly sweet and savory, and also extremely crunchy.

Google
5 stars on atmosphere bc I don’t want to affect their rating, I probably wouldn’t eat in store because it is cramped. The food is phenomenal though, and it is my go-to spot to treat myself for takeout. The gangjeong boneless wings are so good, I can’t even begin. The chicken stays crispy as leftovers for DAYS (days, PLURAL!!) and the sauces are just awesome. I literally love everything on the menu.

Google
These Wings Are worth the drive. No matter where you are in the state LOL the come out hot, crispy and seasoned every single time!

Google
I order spicy original chicken by delivery. I order all the time I know it wasn’t the spicy chicken. I took the food back to the store , the lady said it is BBQ chicken spicy is have to order side or something else spicy. She said the spicy chicken is pepper on it. I say nooooo . The one I have she give me is regular original chicken, even my husband doesn’t eat spicy , he even say this is original chicken wasn’t spicy…. And on the receipt should say BBQ Chicken ( spicy ) but on my receipt says only BBQ chicken. Didn’t say nothing about spicy . I know she order me wrong and explain me spicy original is pepper and getting side dipping sauce . If I want dipping sauce I just order hot chicken ……….. last time I order have hair in there and took me 1 years later come back and buy it again , and this what I got ?? So telling me that over a year I don’t comeback buy chicken , the checked has change ????

Google
I missed Korean chicken so much and I finally got this on my Birthday. It tastes so so good just like in Korea!! I love this shop so much!!

Google
The chicken here is incredible! I always order the Hot Spicy flavor. Every time I bite into the spicy and juicy chicken, I can already feel it coming out of my ass. The pain on the toilet is 100% worth it though!

Google
My whole golden original whole chicken I got was delicious. This is the third time I got from "bb.q Chicken North Quincy." Moist, crispy, and tasty. I love the pickled radishes too. Also, a congenial place to do business with. 🍗😋👍

Yelp
bb.q chicken can be hit or miss. They do a pretty good job keeping the to-go wings crispy. Original flavor is definitely the best one. Main downsides are the Spicy Chicken Wings made the spicy sauce seem like an afterthought (the wings weren't even completely doused, overall flavor was just okay). Rose Tteokbokki was oddly sweet and there was way more sauce than actual tteokbokki pieces. In terms of pricing, it's pretty expensive. We paid $60 for two boxes of fried chicken and a side of tteokbokki which seems a little much. For that price point you'd hope for some near perfect chicken and slightly more generous portions.

Yelp
Great Korean fried chicken casual spot. We typically order take out. Honey garlic 5/5 my favorite flavor. Chicken is very crispy!! Rose' Ddeok-Bokki 5/5 chewy Korean rice cakes simmered in a spicy, sweet, and creamy sauce with boiled egg!

Lizzie Y.

Yelp
Seemed like it was just yesterday bb.q Chicken first opened in Quincy... fast forward to now, about 2 years and some change! I was so excited when they first opened because I had been a fan of Korean fried chicken for YEARS and would frequent the one in Allston practically every week haha but Quincy is much closer. This location is not a sit down spot; it is popular for take out, though they do have a couple seats inside where you can sit to eat. They offer lunch specials, which is worth stopping by for! My favorite thing to get from here would definitely be honey garlic wings! ITS SO GOOD OMG! So crispy, so flavorful. Overall rating: 7/10 for bb.q chicken locations 9/10 for fried chicken tastiness compared to other fried chicken chains

Yelp
I saw that this place has good review, so I decided to try it. I ordered several items to go via their apps. I ordered mala ddeokbokki and ros ddeokbokki. These are delicious. The restaurant is small with limited seatings, so I'd say it was a good decision on my end to order for pick up. Server was nice and friendly when I picked up my foods.

Lucy S.

Yelp
Normally go here for the wings and kimchi fried rice. It's a hit or miss and depending on the chicken used in the kimchi fried rice ( in my opinion) the rice has its fats as well. But today I went in and saw they were hiring, I called to ask ( I should have known better, but I tried my luck) and the lady told me there's no hiring sign on the door and they're not hiring. I told her I just saw the sign and she kept telling me no, then hung up. I went to the store to follow up because I'm hoping it's a mistake. But nope , it wasn't a mistake and she explained to me that they do not hire Black people. So that was awkward. Because in this great land , that was my first experience for that to happen . At least if there's racism , discrimination and all of that, the food should taste good at least majority of the time .

Yelp
Walking into the shop, there's not much seating room, but it did give a more takeout vibe. Quincy is very residential, so it totally makes sense. I realized they tried to jam-pack so many machines in the little hallway. It's ok, but an eyesore for certain! The chicken was as good as always, but something was a bit off. We ordered about 30 minutes before closing, so maybe they rushed. Still, not a great excuse! The Rose Ddeok-Bokki was made first. It was really good but since it was made about 15 minutes before everything else was finished, the cheese was no longer gooey, more like congealed consistency. The chicken was also packed right away. I wonder if the condensation from the packaging caused it to be a little less powdery. With these things into consideration, I wish I could give 3.5 stars. Service was just the bare minimum I definitely would order again at this location if it's close by, just because I love BBQ cheesling. However, if I could choose another location for BBQ, I certainly would.

Yelp
I Ordered takeout from this place after recommendations from a friend. I tried their fried chicken, spicy galbi wings. They were really delicious. A good balance of sweet and savory. Exactly what I was looking for. The spicy level was mild for me (I have high tolerance ). I liked that the chicken had a crispness to the outside and just juicy inside. I orders a second time . I'll plan to go and eat there in person to see what other things I can try. If you are looking for some good Korean fried chicken, Give them a try.

Joie T.

Yelp
Great spot to get Korean fried chicken and ddeok-bokki. Would recommend the honey garlic flavor!

Rocky W.

Yelp
I love BBQ chicken! Their chicken is unbeatable and they're my go to place for Korean Fried Chicken. This location is small and most of the business here is take-out. I'm a fan of their lunch special that's available Monday - Friday 11am - 3pm. For $10.95, you get to choose from 9 different boneless wings flavor, french fries, and a soda. The only con is that the meat is white meat. If you dine in, there is seating with a few bar seats and a big table in the middle. They have a self serve station with condiments, utensils, and napkins by the side. The chicken is made to order so it can take 10-15 minutes or so after ordering to get the food. My favorite flavors are the soy garlic, spicy galbi, gangjeong, and gangnam style. The sauce is delicious and the meat is flavorful. However, I prefer the Allston location as the menu is bigger there, serves alcohol, and has more space inside.

Justin L.

Yelp
My goal is to try every flavor currently I have tried 3 flavors honey garlic, soy garlic, and cheesling. I think honey garlic is the best flavor so far and the other two flavors weren't as bad as well. I love how I can just order on the phone and come pick it up in 20 minutes and it's ready. The downside is the chicken gets cold really fast so you have to be there when it's ready! Update: place is still very good best flavor is the honey garlic for sure

Kirk S.

Yelp
It's really good Korean Fried Chicken made fresh - what's not to love? This is definitely a place that prioritizes takeout over dine-in, but there's still a decent amount of seating. My only warning is that cooking the chicken fresh takes a bit of time, so don't expect instant food - this isn't a fast food place, ordering ahead might be smart.

Robert C.

Yelp
Chicken was dry. Ordered a whole chicken, but it seemed to have extra wings and little it no thigh meat. Seems I got a mix of 2nd grade parts, overcooked. Will not order again any time soon. Disappointing

Maria F.

Yelp
Fast service and very yummy. We ordered take out and everything was awesome and fresh. When we open the boxes, you can clearly smell the delicious chicken. The onion rings were still crispy. The kimchi fried was flavorful! Food was ready by the time my hubby picked it up. Easy checkout. Will definitely order again.

Michelle L.

Yelp
This location is more of a takeout spot because it's small. We got the spicy and soy garlic chicken, which were tasty. The amount of chicken is doubled with each size, so the large felt much bigger than the medium. The 3 of us got a medium and a large and didn't finish it all. I had to pick it up a bit later after it was done and it didn't get soggy with the box openings.

Thomas T.

Yelp
The restaurant is located in a busy area in Quincy with limited parking. The restaurant is really small has doesn't have much seating. This appears to be more of a takeout spot. I was only looking for a snack so I got the spicy chicken sandwich. I definitely want to come back for the wings. The chicken in the sandwich was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. It wasn't spicy and came with a sauce you can add that was more sweet than spicy. Overall, it was a good sandwich. I think the wings would have been better.

Emily C.

Yelp
Honey Garlic flavor is my go to. The wings were still tasty even if they were not that hot after a 45 minute drive home. Pickled radish smells terrible always but is still the best side imo!

Claudia C.

Yelp
I've ordered from here three times since moving to Quincy. The chicken is always tasty and cooked well. The only issue, and it's tiny...is I ordered coke and got a diet Coke. Can't really complain if that's the worst thing to happen.

Edward W.

Yelp
I was so excited that the South Shore finally has a Korean fried chicken spot. I have tried this place a couple of times but unfortunately, they are never consistent with their wings. Sometimes, the fried chicken wings has too much sauce and other times, the wings are too dry and hardly has any sauce. My faves are definitely the honey garlic and soy garlic. However, I think their wings have too much batter compared to BonChon and Mad for Crave. Their ddeok-bokki is pretty good but very spicy and the golden original chicken sandwich was also on par. I wish they had the kimchi fried rice and the bulgogi poutine like they do in the Allston branch. Overall, I give this place a 3.5 stars.

Harry L.

Yelp
A new Korean style fried chicken opened up in North Quincy, it is a very tiny place with 2 tables and a bar counter, so their main business is take out and deliveries. The wings were flavorful, and chicken was very crispy. However, the wait is long and even if you call ahead, it is still a good 35 minutes wait to get rhe food and sometimes its still not ready when you show up to get it. Place is either understaffed or it is THAT busy that they are having a hard time to keep up with the orders. The phone will not stop ringing and the online orders keep piling in. Again, food is excellent but the wait time can be long. Guess good things comes to those who waits.....

John H.

Yelp
Finally a decent chicken sandwich that doesn't require me to drive all the way to Chick-Fil-A. Buttery bun. Check. Crunchy Breading. Check. Juicy Chicken. Check. The Ddeok was a bit too spicy for my liking and on the pricey side for takeout. Definitely go for the chicken.

Alee L.

Yelp
My cousin brought lunch and I got a chance to try the fried chicken. In short, it's so delicious. I can only pray and hope the quality stays as good as how I tasted it today. My favorite is the soy and garlic because it reminds me of bonchon. Don't sleep on the original though, it's still very good-tasting fried chicken! I only sampled the ddeok-bokki and ate a slice of fish cake. I'm not a fan of ddeok-bokki but just eating the fish cake was enough for me to tell you this dish is super spicy. So if you can't handle spicy, this is not for you. Spicy fans you'd love this dish. If this place keeps up the quality of their fried chicken, I'd be glad to make this my go-to spot for fried chicken besides bonchon and popeyes. I can't wait to try the other flavors of chicken as well.

Alyanna T.

Yelp
First time trying this chain, and it exceeded our expectations! My partner and I ordered the ddeok-bokki, spicy galbi wings, spicy original sandwich w secret spicy sauce, and half & half chicken (secret spicy and golden original) - TASTE: 5/5 - the ddeok-bokki was a tingly spicy, the spicy galbi wings had a nice balance of spicy and sweet, and even the golden original chicken was well seasoned! TEXTURE: 4/5 - the rice cakes were super chewy, though I expected the sauce to be thicker. The chicken was fried perfectly and had super crispy bites. The pickled radish was a crisp, refreshing contrast to the rest of our food PRICE: 4/5 - expensive to me, but still competitive w other fried chicken joints SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - have about half of everything to eat tomorrow for leftovers SERVICE: 4/5 - ordered online via the website and picked up our food in ~45min ATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - this corner space is much smaller than I expected. Maybe a maximum capacity org 10pm to dine-in, including counter and table seating TAKEOUT: 5/5 - packaging was great; plenty of vents on the chicken containers to keep it crunchy! PARKING: 4/5 - there were some street parking spots available on Billings Rd

Rachel B.

Yelp
Waffle fries! What a game changer to the menu! Their golden original chicken and honey garlic are sooo good but adding the waffle fries was a genius move. I used delivery app and service was quick and packaging was clean.

Dawnah C.

Yelp
Extremely disappointed in the latest order. I always get the boneless option because this is the only establishment that uses thigh meat for boneless option. 2/18 Ordered 2 large boneless and 2 medium boneless. I was hyping this place for my friends to try when they visited. When we got our orders it was all cut up pieces of chicken breasts. I dont know if they ran out of thigh meat and have to replace it with breast meat but boy were we all disappointed. Flavor is there, no arguments. The batter was half falling off and I'm not sure if they they coat it properly or it's just the nature of cut up fried breast. If they ran out of thighs it would of been nice to be inform, so I would switch some order up to have wing. The breast meat was so dry and sad. If this is a forever change then be WARN its breast meat now. Flavor is still great. Gangnam and cheeseling are must try flavors.

Jennifer T.

Yelp
Online menu is more limited compared to the other locations. And takes a while to get your food. But BBQ chicken is probably my top choice for Korean fried chicken in the Boston area.

Melanie W.

Yelp
I ordered half & half as usual. Also, I ordered the boneless instead the wings with honey garlic and cheesling. The boneless are more crispy than the wings. They don't use chicken breast, the meat is juicy but some might be a little dried on the side since it was thin. I still prefer wings more than boneless even though they cost $1 more.

Jimmy O.

Yelp
yamyam ! crispy and juicy: honey garlic wing my no1 choice . Rose Donboki taste good. Prefer do wing than boneless.

Peiting W.

Yelp
It doesn't taste that good. It has no flavor inside at all. I got golden original and Galbi and both didn't taste like what I expected. It's also not that crispy. Would not go again so disappointed. It's just disgusting. Waste of $31 only could eat couple of pieces and threw rest of it away!

Noah B.

Yelp
Chicken great enjoyed crunch, flavor and amount of chicken great price very tasty!!!!

Rose P.

Yelp
I've never tried their other location so I can't compare but I'm glad there's finally Korean fried chicken on the south shore. Ordered the soy garlic boneless lunch combo. Menu says it's supposed to be a small order of the boneless wings, which is 8 pieces, but it only came with 6. I was expecting the chicken to be tossed and covered with the sauce but it looked like they only drizzled the sauce. I was very disappointed at first but the flavor definitely packs a punch. The batter was very crunchy and what I was craving. The actual meat inside, however... soooo much globs of fat! I spent more time scraping fat off the chicken than actually eating. I upgraded to onion rings instead of fries and they were completely flavorless. Wish pickled radish and coleslaw came with the chicken like other kfc places but you have to order it separately. I would order again because I loved the batter but the globs of fat turns me off. Maybe I can try the wings next time.

Sandy T.

Yelp
I've ordered from multiple BBQ chicken locations in the Boston area and this one has got to be my favorite. The Quincy location is geared almost exclusively for takeout. The ordering process was simple and efficient, and the menu was more limited compared to their other locations. I order from here often and I would recommend the Secret Spicy Chicken, Original Chicken, and Rose Tteokbokki. The Secret Spicy Chicken was flavorful and had a nice level of heat, although it wasn't the spiciest I've ever had and they only drizzled on a little bit of sauce. The Golden Olive Chicken was a unique flavor that I enjoyed - the chicken was hot, juicy, and crispy, everything you want out of good fried chicken. The Rose Tteokbokki was delicious - the sauce was creamy and spicy and the rice cakes had a nice chewy texture. Overall, I would recommend trying BBQ Chicken if you're in the mood for some Korean fried chicken takeout. The prices for BBQ chicken are a bit steep compared to other Korean fried chicken places in the Boston area but I'm always happy to pay a premium for BBQ's crispy chicken when I can afford it.

Shaun L.

Yelp
Pretty good fried chicken, I only tried the boneless which was good but I think I would've preferred bone in. This is a very small location, don't plan to dine in. Order ahead and pick it up. There's only street parking but they are pretty quick so double parking shouldn't be an issue. We tried the boneless, per my brother in laws suggestion. It was boneless thigh meat instead of your traditional white meat tenders. I think I would've liked to have tried bone in, I'll give it a shot next time.

Babyegg Z.

Yelp
Food is fresh and yum. Honey garlic is my favorite order. Employee who took my order was nice and showed warm welcome. Visited couple times and would recommend friends to go

Annilyn T.

Yelp
First time at this restaurant, my friend was hungry and we saw this. I have seen this place at various location but never really got the chance to try it. The golden fried chicken was pretty good, my other friend got the spicy wings and I got my son some sweet potato fries. This location is pretty tiny but they got tables for people to dine in if they want. The food came out pretty much after 2o mins or so, felt like that was a long time to wait for only sweet potato fries but whatever, maybe I will try to go to a different location if given the chance

zou x.

Yelp
The food in this store is okay, but the service attitude at the front desk is too poor. There was no smile during the ordering and pick-up process, and the attitude was very poor, without saying "Hello, thank you, goodbye". Without even the most basic courtesy, I won't go anymore, 。

Errl E.

Yelp
In store service and food is great! Beware of delivery! Every time I order pickup or in store the experience is easy and fairly quick.

Dave T.

Yelp
Free stainless steel wire and thank god that I didn't swallow it and I hope that they'll be a little bit more careful in the future.

Trang N.

Yelp
Hey guys, the first thing I want to tell you about their price. That's crazy, the price in store and online are too different. I was in their store so I want to save my time I tried to order online then I realized the prices were different with the price I already bought in store. It has more type flavors chicken here, I just came eat only soy garlic one, that's tasty to eat with rice. I'll be back to try another flavor soon.

Jina D.

Yelp
The server(s) are always nice when I come into the store and make it easy when I come pick up my order. The food is always 11/10 I love the fried chicken here. I always order the Golden Original wings and consistently I'm getting a crispy coating and perfectly cooked chicken with a slight kick to it. Only downside is how small the interior is. Wish it was a bit bigger so that you could sit down a larger party but that won't stop me from giving this place a 5 Star ^^

Jimmy W.

Yelp
Came in for a casual dinner. Knew there is always a long preparation wait. But telling me that the kitchen forgot my order after 40 minutes and another 10 needed is unacceptable. Although they upgraded a 8pc to 16, I value my time more than their complementary. Taste is great but always order by phone/online and expect a long wait.

Roger L.

Yelp
Just tried this today and it was good! The original was a bit spicy for my kids but they just peeled off the skin. I didn't think the secret spicy chicken wings were that spicy, prob 2/5 hotness, more of a sweet garlic. Overall the crunchy skin was a bit thick and hard for our preference, we prefer like a Popeyes crispy. The sweet potato fries were good but I could taste some of the older oil on it and prob would've preferred just my air fry style fries from home. If I'm in the mood for fried chicken next time, I would definitely consider coming again.

Dorothy D.

Yelp
Love the variety of chicken available. My favorite so far is the honey garlic. I also love the kimchi fried rice and the dumplings. I order from door dash and get it delivered, hi one-day I would like to eat at the restaurant in person!

Thao T.

Yelp
My go to place to get chickens. It's pretty yummy and often take 25 mins to wait for order to be ready.

Sandra G.

Yelp
The fried chicken is always so crunchy and delicious. I always got the boneless, but wings are great too. Buy the honey garlic, they are too die for. Great as leftovers too. Heat them in an air fryer.

Kai L.

Yelp
This is a great addition to the growing North Quincy dining scene! I ordered take out and the person did not hang up on me. (I read in another review they did.) The person on the line was informed and knew about the lunch specials offered. I totally recommend the lunch specials ($10.95 w/o tax) as it was an ample portion for one person. (It came with 6 pieces of chicken, French fries, and a can of coke.) The flavor that I recommend is Galbi as it was salty and sweet. The cheesling is an interesting concept as it came with slightly sweet cheese dusted on top of the chicken. I personally thought the original was only okay. The honey garlic and soy garlic were decent and had a hint of spice at the end. The order took about 30-40 minutes from call to pick up.

Mrs. M.

Yelp
Ordered the boneless Spicy Galbi - The batter and crispiness was perfect and the chicken was juicy. The sauce was nice and sticky, tasted great when piping hot, but had a fishy aftertaste when eaten cold. The Gangnam Style wings were perfect. Not too spicy. The Ddeok-Bokki was delicious and crazy spicy. Could use more in the bowl. Looks like a lot in the picture, but it wasn't. The cheese sticks were mozzarella sticks. Nothing exciting, and no Marinara sauce or any sauce to dip into. Wasn't ooeygooey. Was okay, kid friendly. Would definitely return to try the other dishes! The wait was long so better to order ahead.

Trang M.

Yelp
Summary: I waited over 35+ minutes for a small order of boneless honey garlic and small honey garlic wings. Chicken was not hot. Only one person ordered ahead of me and a couple mobile/online orders otherwise no others waiting in store. Very different from Allston location in terms of sauce, chicken breading, and the way its fried. Overall 3/5 stars. Service: 5/5. Everyone was very nice. I was able to order quickly and someone even checked in on us after waiting 25+ minutes. Food: 2.5/5. The honey garlic flavor tastes good and the chicken itself was juicy. However, the boneless wings were merely room temp and the batter was not crunchy but on the soft/slightly crispy side. Disappointing considering we ate it as soon as it was given to us. The wings came out slightly warmer but it also tasted as if its been sitting out for a while. It didn't have that scorching, hot, fresh-out-the-frier temp. The batter is such a let down. The Allston location really nailed down the wonderfully crunchy exterior and does not skimp out on their sauce. The honey garlic sauce here is surprisingly different from the Allston location as well. While both tastes good, I much prefer Allstons sticky and saucy honey garlic. Interior: 3/5. the place is a lot smaller than anticipated. You might find a hard time eating comfortably inside the restaurant with the amount of people standing around waiting for their order. There are two sets of window seats that can fit two people each. As well as two sets of tables. One set seats four and the other set of tables awkwardly seats two and is right in between the entrance and where you order. A bit of an awkward arrangement. Final thoughts: it isn't bad just slightly disappointing, perhaps I'd give it another try in a few months. For now, I'll still continue to trek over to Allston for my Korean fried chicken fix.

Yelp
I've ordered twice here and have tried many of their flavors, golden, soy garlic, spicy Galbi, Gangnam, and spicy. The one I don't really like is the spicy one because it's way too sweet. The other 4 flavors are pretty good. The texture of the chicken is excellent with a light and crispy coating. The price for the wings is a bit expensive but their lunch special is definitely a budget buy. In case you're wondering in the lunch special you will get around 6 pieces of thigh meat. I love the fact they'd used thigh instead of breast. The meat was nice and juicy. The one and only complaint I have it this place takes too darn long to fill an order. I usually drop by at times that are not busy. The first time was at 5 where people are not having dinner yet. I ordered 2 sets of wings and had to wait 45-60 minutes. The second time I went it was when they first open at 11 and I am their first order and it took them 30 minutes. I cook so I know it does not take that long to fry some wings. Do they go in there and butcher the chicken when you order? They need to do better prep work so it doesn't take so long to fry that chicken. All in all if you plan ahead of time and don't mind the wait then it's an awesome place for Korean fried chicken.

David D.

Yelp
Ordered the half/half bone chicken but ended up mostly are boneless. The hot spicy were just a few squirts of sauce. They are not soaked into the chicken. I ordered the chicken sandwich and that was very good. I was disappointed with the half/half whole chicken.
