We came on a Monday evening around 8 pm — no wait, and the place was pretty quiet except for one group of young adults at another table. The restaurant was clean with a casual vibe and good background music. We ordered 8 pcs of boneless Honey Garlic and 8 pcs of boneless Spicy Galbi, plus the Kimchi Fried Rice, Rose Ddeok-Bokki, and two bottles of Cass beer. Our total was about $83. The Spicy Galbi had a nice kick and smoky flavor (my favorite), while the Honey Garlic was sweeter and my boyfriend’s pick. Both were flavorful but a little dry inside. The Kimchi Fried Rice was decent but could’ve used more seasoning — especially salt — and the chicken in it was also a bit dry. The Rose Ddeok-Bokki was rich, creamy, and super tasty (though definitely not for anyone lactose intolerant!). Overall, it’s a great casual dinner spot with friendly service, good music, and cold beer. We’d recommend it and would come back again!

I definitely like their lunch special that they have everyday. They offer either a rice bowl or a boneless chicken meal with fries and a drink. Reasonably priced I think. The food took a while, but it came out hot and fresh out of the fryer. The french fries were crispy and the boneless chicken was juicy. The rice bowl was okay. Would I get it again? Probably not. I was not a huge fan of the sauce that the rice bowl came with, but the chicken tasted good.

We came to bb.q on a Friday afternoon and were seated promptly. Love the call button. We ordered both boneless and traditional wings. They are so delicious. Wings are big, meaty, juicy, and crispy! Lots of flavor. Pickled radish is a nice cool down. Fries were super crispy and tasty. Server forgot our rice, caught her mistake and didn't charge us. Atmosphere is a bit generic, but food and service make up for it.

We always have a great experience every time we come here. The restaurant is always clean, even their restroom, as well! That says a lot. I am addicted to their fried chicken with cheese. It’s unlike any other place we have tried. The ladies that work there are very quick & polite. We will continue to come back!

Google
I've dined here quite a couple times and never had an experience like yesterday. I'm not sure if the waitress was new but her attitude wasn't the most welcoming. The food is always good but my daughter's plate came with a guest... The owner did not come out an apologize for it nor did they remove it from our bill. Not to mention how don't you have take out bowls for soup. If you don't finish it u have to leave it behind. I personally like talking my leftovers especially if I pay a lot for it to begin with. We came here to celebrate my daughter's birthday and they made us feel like it was a bother to be there. With that being said we will not be returning to this establishment.

10/10 My absolutely favorite chicken spot! It always hits! Their chicken wings are big and crispy and the sauce is so delicious. Their kimchi fried rice is so good, I get it without the cheese and add and extra egg.

Google
I ordered Ddeok-Bokki with cheese, but to be honest, it tastes well without it. The sauce is slightly sweet and has a pleasant spiciness. I also included the original golden wing (bone-in). It's really crispy, but I don't enjoy the aftertaste. I'm not sure if it's from the bread crumbs or the oil. It reminds me of sesame.

Yelp
One thing bbq chicken does better than all other chain Korean fried chicken places is their rosé tteokbokki. It tastes unhealthy in the best way possible. The sauce is creamy yet not too thick and the fish cakes provide a nice change in texture. Service was prompt and our food (rosé tteokbokki, secret sauce half chicken, and soy garlic half chicken) came out in a timely manner. I recommend the secret sauce; it's very flavorful and has a spicy kick to it. Their soy garlic is comparable to most other places. This is a very casual eating establishment.

Yelp
Got seated right away--it wasn't too busy. There's a button you can press when you want to get help, which I thought was pretty cool. I got the 8-piece boneless honey garlic--omg, so good! Not spicy, just packed with flavor. The chicken was super crispy and juicy. Also tried the Caribbean spice and the Galbi. Overall, well-priced and really good food. Solid chicken!

Yelp
Best location great taste, great service, most definitely recommended, good food and very attentive

Yelp
I usually order carryout or delivery, so I can only speak to that experience. Unfortunately, something has been wrong with my order every time. The food is often packaged incorrectly, leaving it soggy. The one time they used the correct packaging, it was overstuffed into a small box. I imagine dining in might provide a much better experience.

Yelp
Ambiance - casual dining spot, offers lots of dine in tables Service - staff was super nice, my table got the half and half wings - the golden original and soy garlic; the golden original came out right away and the soy garlic took another 20-25 min while the tables that sat after us got their wings already (we ended up getting the soy garlic to go) Food - my primary bb.q chicken location is the Chinatown location, there were slight flavor differences when compared

Yelp
Food is always amazing. It is expensive but worth it. Typically I carry out so not much insight with dining in.

Yelp
We usually order takeout for here and never actually dined in. Mostly because it usually takes like 20 or so mins for them to cook the chicken and were usually hungry when we want it. But my husband said to call them and order first. When we got there, some of our order was already ready! And the chicken came shortly after. It was piping hot when it came out. We love the soy garlic, but we also tried the spicy galbi and it's actually not bad! I like how crispy the batter is and it's not too heavily battered either. We got the whole chicken and I think next time we'll just opt for the wings. Some of the whole chicken pieces were just all meat and it's a little dry for me haha My husband loves their kimchi fried rice and it's not that bad to me. I love their tteokbokki too! It's spicy and perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The service was super quick and the servers were super nice too!

Israel N.

Yelp
If you love crispy, flavorful fried chicken, bb.q Korean Fried Chicken is an absolute must! Every visit is a treat. The chicken comes out incredibly crunchy on the outside and unbelievably juicy on the inside--exactly what Korean fried chicken should be.

Baki S.

Yelp
Bad customer service over the phone and in person. Very disappointing, considering the grape food that they have.

Yelp
I have been coming here for a few years, and this place never disappoints!! In terms of chicken wing flavors, I have tried soy garlic, honey garlic, and spicy galbi. All of them are very tasty and fresh. The fries are nice and crisp each time. I also tried the kimchi fried rice, and the flavor is balanced between spicy and savory. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with tons of seating. The wait staff are very attentive and fast. The waiters also care about the minute details that enhance the overall experience. For example, the past few times I have ordered takeout from them, they automatically put ketchup packets for the fries without even having to ask! The best part is that they give large quantities of each menu item and is reasonably priced, a rarity in an increasingly expensive world. Their great flavors, quality service, and consistency cause me to come back for more!

Yelp
My coworkers love this place, but with my food sensitivities I cannot do. If you are gluten or soy free don't bother going here unless you just want a bowl of white rice. They list allergens for many things on their site, but nothing is Gluten free. Probably only the white rice and pickled radish is Gluten free. I got the sweet potato fries. It seemed to be covered in flakes of batter from the chicken. I reacted later that day. I should have specified or asked about gluten free, but I honestly hate having to ask about it all the time so I try to just guess. I can handle cross contamination so I'm usually fine, but this place so much of the batter/flakes from the chicken on the sweet potato fries that I could taste it on there. Sweet potato fries are also waffle fries (vs stick like fries) which probably caused it to get more.

Yelp
We ordered bb.q for pickup. This was my first time trying bb.q and it was a great first experience. The cheesling fries were yummy. It's powdered cheese. It reminded us of the powder the put over popcorn at the movies. The spicy original was my favorite. It reminded me of hooters. Honey garlic was great as well, but I found it too sweet. I asked for a side or pickled radish. I recommend pickled radish when you're eating Korean fried chicken. It does a nice job at cleansing the palate. I will be back to try the other flavors!

Yelp
Great food. Service is alright can be slower when its busy but usually only 1 or 2 people working at a time.

Yelp
Light crispy breading. Flavorful sauces. Service was prompt. Food cooked fresh and clean dining room and restroom.

Yelp
Fresh fast and delicious!! Went safe and had $13 rice and chicken bowl with pot stickers. Forgot the sauce tho, a little spicy but good. Fresh and delicious! I'm coming back for sure.

Jaclyn W.

Yelp
I came here for the first time last week and tried the lunch special. It comes with wings, fries and a can of soda for around $13 I believe. The honey garlic wings were absolutely delicious. I would probably give them a 9/10 rating. The flavor was spot on and the wings were cooked to perfection. The cheesling flavor was OK. It's definitely sweet cheese, I don't think I would get those again. My fiancé did not really like them. I would give those a 6.5/10 My only complaint would be there was a lot of bugs crawling in the windows. They were like black bugs with red on the back. I don't know what they were, but there was quite a few of them where we were sitting. Also, our waiter was kind of nonexistent most of the time we were there.

Yelp
MY FAVORITE KOREAN CHICKEN PLACE My go to will always be the soy garlic chicken, and combined it with the kimchi fried rice and rose tteokbokki, it's like living the Korean drama dream Recently reached out to their customer service as I felt like the chicken have been getting smaller the past few times I went, but they say they would work on it. Clean place. Fast service. Friendly staff.

Yelp
Great chicken and downright addictive cheesy fries. Our intended Sunday lunch destination was closed, so we figured BBQ chicken would be a good second option. I didn't realize it was *Korean* barbecue wings (complete with K-pop playing on TVs on the walls) but was fed well nonetheless. We got cheesy fries, which through a miscommunication ended up covered in secret sauce. We also got a 16 piece boneless wing meal, half plain and half covered in secret sauce. Service was quick, and getting refills or the check is as easy as pushing a doorbell-type thing on the napkin. The lesson of the fries is, I need to get myself powdered cheese. Or, in their case, 2 or 3 different kinds of cheesy fries. They're somehow not overwhelmingly cheesy, or salty, but you can't stop eating them. The sauce on top give it a savory, tangy twist too. As for the boneless wings, the original sans-flavor option is pretty good. The breading is crispy, and the wings tender and juicy. Not shatteringly-crisp as I thought they would be, but crisp enough. Cover it in secret sauce, though, and you get something that's crispy, savory, and tart. It's perfect, and I can't wait to come back and try some other sauces.

Yelp
Very good place for Korean fried chicken. With so much variety of sauces and bone in or boneless wings. We got 2 different order of wings and 1/2 order of whole chicken in spicy galbi sauce and 1/2 order of soy garlic. For the bone in wings we got honey garlic and secret sauce. My favorite was the honey garlic. We also got the rose ddokboki and kimchi ramen. So good. Service was great and food was delicious. Will keep coming back!

Yelp
Tried out BB.Q Chicken for the first time, with a take out order. The food was ready on time when we arrived to pick it up. The people working at the restaurant were nice as well. I think we were there on a Monday or Tuesday, there were a few groups dining in, but it wasn't packed. We ordered onion rings, original boneless wings and soy garlic wings. The onion rings were our favorite item ordered. The batter was light and didn't leave the onion rings super oily. These were really good. The chicken was average, pretty consistent with good fried chicken or Korean chicken wings. The original boneless could use more flavor, less seasoned even than something like KFC! I personally wanted more reasoning and flavor, but the chicken was cooked well. Good batter and juicy chicken. The soy garlic was good, but nothing stood out compared to some other Korean wing restaurants. I'd go back, because it was good, but it isn't somewhere I'd make my go to recommendation for Korean wings at the moment.

Todd B.

Yelp
The food is always freshly and well prepared and each flavor of their wings is delicious. It's probably some of the best fried chicken that we have ever had. They also have great lunch specials. We would highly recommend you giving them a try if you haven't already. It will be worth it!

Yelp
The best Asian fusion chicken wings I've ever eaten trust me these are a must have!!!!

Yelp
Today my husband had a taste for kimchi fried rice and I was craving Ramen and this restaurant has both of those options. There's this new robot assistant server that helps bring the food to the table and the waitress just has to maneuver it over to the table and she is able to serve you without having to carry too much. At the end the waitress pushed a button and it said thank you for your order or something similar... it's really cute, kids will love it. The kimchi fried rice with spicy but it's not very temperature hot which is good. It had a lot of taste and I would definitely order it and my husband said he would also get it again. The Ramen was different it had a Korean flavor to it. I asked for an egg and it was yummy. I will definitely get it again. When you check in and post a picture of your food on Instagram you can get a free side. We chose the cheese sticks (4 pieces) they were really good!
google avatar

Karen G.

Yelp
While the chicken was moist and crispy , I just felt the flavors just weren't that great.... They were tasting like one trick ponies.... Although the cheese ones were yummy and definitely different and worth getting. I also thought the prices were $$$ for wings- $13-14 for 8 wings is pretty steep, plus 1.50 for rice plus charge for more sauce so it's not a reasonable night out.

Sunmusic M.

Yelp
The taste is unique and one of the best I've had so far. Fast delivery and great customer service. 100% recommended!

Yelp
I love this place! Really yummy food. Great lunch special too if you eat in. My favorite is the honey garlic

Kay B.

Yelp
Good: Rose Ddeokbokki was delicious. Bad: Terrible after taste from all the chicken wings we ordered. We ordered 4 flavors. Original was the worst. Soapy, unpleasant taste. We couldn't finish them and ended up thrown them away. Our order before this time it was the cubbed radish that also tasted old, oily, was very unpleasant but it was a side dish so we didn't think of much. I don't think we're gonna order any food anytime soon. It was one of our favorite To-go place. We are sad.

Yelp
We came here on accident. We were going to dessert 365 and saw this place. We hadn't eaten dinner so we decided to try it. We got fries. Gangnam style (boneless) and secret sauce (bone in) chicken. Kimchi fried rice. The fries were yummy. Chicken was tender but I would try some other flavors next time like galbi. I'm also interested in the kimchi ramen. We will be back.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this place for the longest time. I was not disappointed. The chicken was just the right amount of crispy and moist when you bite into it. The sauce is so flavorful, every bite screams so much flavor, eating it with rice is also wonderful. I am a "eat everything" with rice kind of person. So I was super happy they have that as a side option. The side radish was also good. I love eating it along with the chick and the rice. The ambiance is an open layout. Very clean. Plenty of napkins for your hands. :) The service was great. They answer all your questions and if you have sensitivity to spicy foods they answer your question as far as the ingredients in the food that makes up the spice. So if your sensitive to certain spices they are easy to talk to about it. Only down side is that walking in I wasn't sure if I can just sit myself or if I should wait to get seated. Though the open layout makes it a low key place, having no one there at the front on a podium near the entrance is kind of confusing. The servers are great and friendly and I'm sure having someone to greet and seat people coming in will decrease the confusion. I got the 8 wings for $14. I think it was a good price for the amount of food I got. I just didn't like that they can't split it up to make 4 with a diff sauce and another 4 with a diff sauce. It will help promote the place as people will come back to get more of the diff types of chicken if they've sampled them. I will definitely try them again. Will try to go during the week during lunch hour to try the lunch specials.

Yelp
Probably my favorite chicken wing place in the Schaumburg area, every time I come here they don't miss. The servers are always nice and my food always comes out perfect. I would recommend the Gangnam and Gangjeong flavors. Out of all their ddeokbokki, the Rose one is the best in my opinion.

Woah M.

Yelp
Service was booty cheeks and the food was aight. Wouldn't recommend going with a party of 7 unless you want to pay a 15% party fee.

Yelp
This was our second time to this location of the popular KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) restaurant chain (we have been bb.q in Cali). It is located in a strip mall, and has plenty of parking. The menu is pretty simple and displayed on screens. We were greeted warmly, and explained how the process works. The chicken is grouped into 3 groups: whole cut-up chicken, wings, and boneless. We ordered 2 half chickens ($15 each), and 1 8-piece of wings ($14). What I like about KFC places is that they will chop up the breast into 2 or 3 smaller pieces, thus giving each piece in a half chicken order, the same size and amount of surface area for the breading/sauce. So half a chicken will given you 5-6 pieces. They do have yangnyeom sauce (the most popular sauce for KFC)....they call it Secret sauce here. We also got an order of honey garlic half chicken, and then got cheesling (dry) for the the 8 wings. They are plenty generous with the sauce and dry seasoning. The flavor for all three were good, and were a hit at the party. The yangnyeom is the classic and a must if you have people who like the ubiquitous flavor of gochujang. The cheesling is definitely 'different'....I first tried it in Korea last year, and it's not the flavor one would expect from cheese like nacho or american. Both times, we ordered when we got to the restaurant, but it took a while for the simple order to come out this time. I know the places make a huge deal about how the chicken is only made/fried after ordered, but I think it is just a reason to take longer to get your order. Unless you eat the chicken right away after it is sauced, it's going to get soggy (this is NOT the case for some KFC...they found a secret to keep the breading crispy even after it has been sauced and kept standing for a while...bb.q is not that). So why not just have some pre-fried chicken waiting to be sauced for carryout. We had ordered wings from Wing Stop and brought that home, and it was certainly miles better than that...but it was also quite a bit more expensive as well. But bb.q chicken is more consistent than other KFC chains around. I think the experience would be a lot better if you ate in. We will try that next time. (I wonder if there are areas of the country where if you type in 'bbq' in google maps, bb.q chicken comes up instead of BBQ places....this name has always confused me).

Yelp
Love this place. We usually order golden original or spicy. We've tried almost all their wings flavor. Rose deokbokki with cheese is the bomb. Kimchi fried rice is good. I'd like to try their ramen kimchi next time. They're very friendly and attentive. I like the vibe of the place. Several tv's playing. Very nice. I'll keep coming back.

Yelp
Got Friday night dinner here, Honey Garlic and Galbi wings. Trust me, these are better than Crisp in Chicago. Crunchy and addictive flavor. I will say their sides are pretty lackluster. Soggy fries and not much in the way of veggies. But you come here for the chicken, not the sides. The inside ambiance is not for me, but I'm not Korean. Also the service was pretty fast for ordering online.
google avatar

Shavene M.

Yelp
Hands down the best Korean fried chicken I've had. The honey garlic wings were seasoned and fried to perfection. Nothing in Maryland compares can't wait to come back and visit on my next business trip.

Yelp
Our friends told us about this place and how good it is so we had to try it. The name of the place would never have got my attention to be honest. We went as a big group and they sat us quick. They put cups and big water jugs so we can drink water while we looked through the menu. They were out of fries so we went with sweet potato fries which was a very big portion and they are sweet potato waffle style. I got an order of Kimchi rice and it was so good and it was my favorite it had a bit of spicy but it needed a hint of salt. I order 8 piece bone in wings with the spiciest hot sauce and they were very delicious. The sauce was sweet when you bit into it and then the spicy hits you but it not a bad hot it goes away quick. I ordered the honey garlic boneless chicken and that was amazing. I had the right amount of honey and garlic which wasn't overpowering. The pot stickers come in an order of five or six and they are good. Overall it was really good. The service can be better but I also figured out when you ready or need something you have to press the button on the side of napkins bin.

Yelp
This place is absolutely fantastic! While I haven't tried any other Korean Fried Chicken places in the area, when I do - they are certainly going to have a high bar to reach! We went for lunch yesterday. It was really hard to pick just one flavor, but I got the Spicy Original Wings, mostly because I knew if I had some saucy wings I'd get it all over the place and I had to go back to work. The wings were super hot and the fries were as well. I agree on the temperature of the place being a little warm, especially when you're eating such spicy food. But it didn't even matter. I can't recommend this place enough for a fried chicken craving! Next time I'm going to try the half chicken. I can't wait!

Yc P.

Yelp
I have been frequenting this place for a few years on a regular basis primarily for the chicken. High marks for the chicken although price point is now reaching a level where we have to start considering cheaper options whenever the craving kicks in for fried chicken. That being said, this is an honest review of the kimchee fried rice. The disappointing part of the dish is that there is hardly any kimchee in this dish! I was hard pressed to find any pieces of kimchee instead finding bell pepper (yes, believe it or not bell peppers!) and onions where they should have added savory kimchee. Why and what happened is something that management needs to thoroughly consider and maybe they can delight true Korean food aficionados with what we deserve when we choose to eat good old Korean kimchee fried rice the way it should be. Please look into this as your establishment is good but this kind of oversight and/or intentional less pricey substitution brings the value and reputation down.
google avatar

Ryan C.

Yelp
I understand this is a chain. I understand experience in the restaurant may be different from Door Dash. All I can tell you is that these chicken wings are unique and amazing. They use some kind of tempura batter and a variety of asian flavors that are each different and wonderful. I don't know if you will like then ALL, but you will probably like at least one. They do tend toward the sweet side, and with our first order, didn't find anything was high heat. In our second order however, we tried Hot Mala, and I did find myself having to stop after 4 of those wings. Taste was excellent, but I had to work that afternoon and it is difficult to see the monitor through tears. Honestly we are pretty big hot wing fans, and have eaten dozens if not hundreds of wings from Wing Stop, Buffalo Wild Wings and others, but these are the best. Just no comparison.

Yelp
Ordered dinner for pick up and I gotta say, this is probably the best Korean chicken I've had by far, and I've tried many! I got the bone in honey garlic chicken and it was bussin! I love that the sauce wasn't drowning the chicken so the skin was able to retain max crispiness and the meat was soft and tender! The sauce was sweet with that nice hint of garlic. I wish it was a little spicier but still, every bite was full of crunch! If only this location wasn't so far!
google avatar

Augost P.

Yelp
Friendly staff. Fast service on walk in order. The soy garlic wings were the best I have ever tasted. I will come here again next week
google avatar

Samarie M.

Yelp
I tried this place out for the first time yesterday, I got the hot mala wings and they were delicious if you like spicy food. My friend also ordered fries and picked radish. The portion of the fries is huge, definitely a shareable portion. This was my first time trying Korean picked radish and I fell in love, so much I googled how to make it at home! The staff was very friendly, and the music was great! Can't wait to go back and try more flavors!

Janice T.

Yelp
Nothing fancy, casual and quiet. The honey garlic wings are the best ! Something you will get a craving for. I need to try some of their other dishes next time I'm there. In a mall near Melting Pot , there's ample parking. Be sure to try it.
google avatar

Deserae D.

Yelp
The spicy galibi wings were yummm The staff was very friendly and it's always nice to walk in to a nice clean space!!! Overall I loved the crunchhhhh on the wings. I was dying to try this place and it did not disappoint The quality and price is great! I would go back again !
google avatar

Gaby B.

Yelp
Surprisingly delicious with sizable portions. So far I've tried the chili garlic and Caribbean chicken flavors, which were both crispy yet not dry at all. Looking forward to trying the secret sauce next.

Kunihiko K.

Yelp
Two of my friends recommended this place, so we tried there around 2pm on Wednesday. Very clean inside. Smiley and friendly lady welcomed us. A little loud k-pop music but the shop was pretty spacious, so not really interfering our conversations and I ended up liking the music. Our order: Lunch combo w..... Gangjeong and cheese stick Galbi and onion ring Galbi was sweet, savory, and smoky sauce. The smoky smell was very distinct as soon as it arrived my saliva level went up to the extreme. Chicken were huge pieces, and crispy outside. Inside was perfectly cooked and a little dry for my taste. I enjoyed it, and solid 4 stars out of 5. Gangjeong was ranked spicy level 1. (Spiciest was level 3.) It had red pepper and green onions. I loved the flavor a lot, but sadly a little too spicy for me. I ate 2 pieces and could not take anymore. But I still need to say this is the meal of the day and rated 5 stars! If you are okay with spicy foods, I definitely recommend this first. Fried cheese sticks were 2 stars, and onion rings were 3 stars. I had better somewhere else. I should try sweet potato fries next time as a side. They provided small cubes of radish pickles which were really good and helped me keep going with strong flavored chickens. So I would say eat them wisely between your chickens. We also got a coleslaw salad, too. Not typical mayonnaise based dressing, but they used their "aurora sauce" meaning ketchup and mayonnaise mixture. I also recommend it to clear your pallet between different flavors of chicken. As a whole, this was my best ever Korean fried experience so far. There were several more menus I would love to try like honey garlic, secret spicy, lunch combo w Jamaican chicken rice and kimchi fried rice. My total score was 4 stars and very much recommended for Korean fried chicken beginners!

Yelp
Their phone does not work. Been trying to call for 45 mins for pickup. Relayed to their staff but they seem not to care.

Yelp
Since I watched CLOY (Crash Landing On You) I've been dreaming about this place.. Finally they opened once close to home and I would always order when I crave for a crunchy korean chicken. Staff are nice and accommodating. Great service!
