Wow Best of Best Quality indeed. This was my third time visiting a bbq franchise and the one on Elm Street did not disappoint. Their chicken is nice and crispy on the outside and so hot and well spiced on the inside. Tried their new Kimchi Fried rice and wow the taste was amazing and was surprised by the bacon bits that just elevated the dish even more. I can’t recommend enough this place, everything we had was excellent. The only thing I would say is cause they are a wing spot they should have large napkins cause the small ones are more cocktail napkins.

Google
Good location at Elm / Bay St Many tables & clean I got the Secret Sauce chicken wings combo as Secret Sauce is not available on Chicken pieces. Not sure why. Chicken was flavourful. Sweet chili sauce secret sauce was good. The garlic mayo was excellent and so creamy with the coated fries. I’ll definitely will be to try the honey garlic as SS was abit too spicy for me. The pickled diakon was good too.

This is one of my favorite places to enjoy fried chicken. They offer a great variety of flavor options, and the chicken is perfectly crispy on the outside while staying juicy on the inside. The portion sizes are generous, and the service is fast. The seating is comfortable, and the overall vibe is friendly and laid-back. They also offer discounts for students and Heroes, including healthcare workers, police, and firefighters. I’ll definitely be coming back

Gamsahabnida! The best Chicken in my life! Koreans are the best at BBQ hands down! Highly recommended. Very original and spoke Korean - great conversation and culture! (LINO)

A guy who’s not a fan of fried stuff ends up loving this place. I would say that’s an achievement worth considering.

Went there for my birthday celebration, every single item I've tried, awesome 👍 The calamari appetizers and onion rings both are great. Tried their signature wings , mouthwatering. But the pulled chicken poutine was game changer. Highly recommended

Calm and chill dining spot, in the middle of downtown, carrying verity of amazing Korean dishes and drinks options, with great service. So if you’re looking for authentic Korean food then here you go!

Followed the reviews as we were wanting some korean fried chicken. The chicken was good along with the sauce but not for $50. It was definitely overpriced. Ddeok-bokki was so disappointing. The Ddeok was too mushy and there was more veggies than ddeok. The buldak was also disappointing. Barely any chicken and sauce. Mainly had cabbage and onions that had no flavor or sauce on them.

Yelp
this is my favorite location for bb.q chicken, their chicken is more tender and juicy, the outter is more crispy too my favorite combo is always the secret sauce and cheesling boneless chicken I'd love to see them develop more flavours for more varieties tho I've only ordered takeouts from this location so not sure how it's like to dine in there

Yelp
Wanted to try out the menu so ordered delivery and food temp was a bit cooler than I wanted. The shrimp.toast was very tasty, not too greasy but I think a little high prices. The price balls were unlike anything I've ever had. Covered in the cheeseling dust, the outside is crisp and the dough is like mochi but with less chew and resistance and finishing with a hint of sweetness and the crema cheese is not super tart and very tasty. The inner cream cheese went well with the dipping sauce.

Yelp
I came here Thursday at 4:30pm for pick up and went home right away (5mins) to eat Ordered: - rose dukk bokki platter $25 - golden fried chicken $23 - honey garlic chicken $24 -------------------------- $72 before tax Total: $94 +tip Rice cake: - wasn't spicy - tasted like tomato sauce - the mandu (dumpling) topping was dry and not fresh (like freezer burned) Chicken: - honey garlic wasn't crispy - original was the better one - nothing special He told me it would take 15-20mins but ended up taking 30+ mins and they also asked us to pay before the food was ready which is strange, no? Not worth the money, maybe if you dine in it'll be better but I was disappointed with a meal costing $100 you can get this

Yelp
We wanted to try this place for a long time and did a take out from here. The food is packed really well. The skip offer was free cheese balls. Just be careful to not overheat and eat because the cheese can burn your tongue. The cheese balls was sweet in flavor. Even the wings but very flavorful. You can tell that the chicken is good quality and it doesn't have that used oil smell which is a sign of good quality. We saw that it's a nice place to sit down and enjoy a meal. The huge beer dispenser looks like a fun thing to do with a large group. They had a happy hour going on when we went but you had try order food/apps as well as a condition. So we skipped. Overall, a good place but not a cheap eats kind of place. You get good food for the price you pay.

Yelp
Hmm I think I would give this place a 2.5. One star for the food and 1.5 star for services ! The server was super friendly and answered all our questions ! For starters , I would say I liked the ambience , it felt really cozy and chill here . The food really is the reason I gave it a lower rating . I got the golden fried boneless chicken combo and it tasted borderline stale . I wasn't sure if that's how it should taste or I was given expired chicken :( but it tasted really strange . Worse than any fried chicken place I've tried ! In the end , I decided to just munch on the fries which tasted pretty good ! My friend got the Gangnam style boneless wings and they tasted ok . That or the heavy sauce mask the real taste. Prob won't come back ..

Yelp
Being in the Downtown area a lot, there's a ton of options for Korean fried chicken and this being one of the more newer ones in the area. l've been wanting to try it but haven't had the chance until more recently. They have an expansive menu with combos, chicken and other signature dishes like spicy rice cakes. I ended up getting the boneless and wing-in combos with rose tteokbokki. The sauces we tried were the Galbi-Q, Hot and Soy Garlic. Chicken combo: It was a pretty small portion than what I expected and luckily we got extra combos to compensate. Taste wise it was pretty average, I found the boneless to be better than the wing-in as you definitely get more chicken. The sauces I really liked were the Galbi- Q and Soy Garlic. The hot was really spicy so I would beware getting this one if you have general mild spice tolerance. Rose tteokbokki: A lot smaller than I expected in comparison to other competitors. However, I really liked the rose sauce, it was a perfect amount of spice. Overall, it was an average experience. The staff was friendly however, the food came out a bit slower than I would have expected. I wouldn't go out of my way to revisit but maybe the second time it could potentially be a better experience.

Yelp
I recently had an experience at BBQ Chicken that was a mix of disappointment and satisfaction, which I feel compelled to share. My visit took place at an unconventional hour, around 1AM, craving their much-raved-about Hot Crispy chicken. I made sure to point directly to it on the menu and enunciated clearly to avoid any confusion. After a 20-minute wait on a chilly night, I eagerly took my order home, only to discover a mix-up: instead of the Hot Crispy chicken I ordered, I received Hot Spicy chicken, the variety smothered in sauce. This was not what I was looking forward to, and naturally, I felt very disappointed. When I called the restaurant to address the mistake, the initial response was denial, which added to my frustration. However, they eventually offered a solution: either return the incorrect order for an exchange or accept a credit for future use. Opting for the latter, I returned the next day for the Hot Crispy chicken I initially wanted. Thankfully, the chicken was as delightful as I had hoped, living up to its reputation. Yet, I can't overlook the initial mishap of receiving the wrong order, especially after a considerable wait in the cold. While I appreciate the restaurant's effort to rectify the mistake, the experience was marred by the initial disappointment and the hassle of resolving the issue.

Yelp
Visiting from the states, we were in Canada visiting .. the food was ok I thought the portions would be bigger for us (4) to share. The server was nice. The tv was on replay from some musical show, very appropriate for the food served.

Yelp
I love Korean fried chicken! We got the Galbi Q chicken, it comes in a good portion for two people and the taste is smokey and a little sweet. Though it was super busy, the staff still checked up on us frequently and even gave us free cheese balls for writing a review.

Yelp
Always a reliable spot. We got the bone in chicken with special sauce which was sooo good. The chicken is moist and the outside was crisp. The sauce was sweet and tasty. The rose dubokki was the perfect texture and the rose sauce was fantastic. We got a side of fries and it was gigantic!!

Yelp
Can never go wrong with bbq chicken! I love their selections of flavored crispy chicken. This location dt had a few different selections compared to the traditional bbq chicken places. I got the rose mac and cheese, loaded with some pieces of golden crispy chicken. Super cheesey and a nice spicy kick to it. I also got 1lb of the honey garlic chicken wings which was super Crispy and delicious, wish I had gotten more as 1lb was not enough. The fries that came with the wings weren't that great, by the time I got to it, it was soggy and not crispy no more. The crispy chocolate deep fried balls were so good, it was crispy on the outside, chewy and in the middle oozed out chocolate sauce, overall they were warm and definitely best enjoyed while they were fresh. Definitely recommend the chewy deep fried balls, chicken wings in the honey garlic or gangnam sauce

Yelp
There are over 1,000 bb.q Chicken restaurants around the world including several throughout Canada. Most of them are a takeout format. However, this bb.q Chicken Lemon is a very upscale version, featuring a large indoor fine dining space. The ambience is a dimly lit dining room with easy listening background music and a full-service bar. There are additional food items offered (rather than the usual fried chicken with 10 different sauces) and of course lemon chicken dishes. We had the following: 1. Crunch Prawn Sticks ($4) with garlic mayo dip. 2. Potato Croquettes ($9) with soy mayo dip 3. Boneless Combo ($18). White meat chicken, fries/salad, pickled radish. We chose honey garlic sauce on the chicken and fries (which comes with ketchup and soy mayo dips). 4. Rose Mac & Cheese ($16). White meat chicken, mac & cheese, and rose sauce. 5. Chocolate Sundae ($7). Vanilla ice cream on pound cake, chocolate syrup, chocolate ball and whipped cream. 6. Lemon Sundae ($7). Vanilla ice cream on pound cake, with lemon flavoured whipped cream, house made lemon sauce, and a slice of lemon. I've never had Crunch Prawn Sticks before - an interesting dish - definitely crunchy on the outside. The prawns were a little softer than I would like - I prefer them a little tougher. The Potato Croquettes were delicious and I love the soy mayo dip. The white meat chicken was tender and had a light crispy batter. I found the honey garlic sauce slightly spicy but my wife didn't; don't know why. The Rose Mac & Cheese came with pieces of crunchy chicken - definitely makes the classic mac & cheese more classy. This is our favourite dish. The staff provided good service and were courteous. This is a Korean chain restaurant. It was popularized by a Netflix series called "Crash Landing on You" (viewable in Canada). During pandemic times, all staff and customers have to wear a mask and must be fully vaccinated. Tables are cleaned between use. The soft opening was 2021-09-24 with the grand opening on 2021-09-30. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is not wheelchair accessible (especially when there are stairs leading up to the entrance). There are separate male/female washrooms downstairs. There are very few street parking spots but there is a large outdoor parking at Bay St & Edward St and a large indoor parking at 38 Elm St (flat rate after 6pm). Review 2021-073 You can also find me on Instagram @chuan_chee. Thanks.

Yelp
bb.q Chicken Lemon is a new restaurant that specializes in Korean fried chicken as well as other Korean dishes, many with a refreshing lemon twist. While the bb.q chicken chain of restaurants restaurants (popularized in recent Korean dramas) are well established north of the city, this is the first location that has a more upscale vibe and intended for the customer to have a more refined dine-in experience. The staff all wear masks. As per current guidelines for indoor dining, the staff were vigilant about checking proof of double vaccination. I also appreciated that front of house person was persistent in reminding patrons to sanitize their hands before entering the establishment. This location of bb.q chicken has a more refined decor and vibe, complete with faux flowers on the tables and more contemporary mood lighting. The menu was accessible by scanning the QR codes placed in an acrylic cube on the table. Hubby and I came for an early dinner around 4:30pm and had the restaurant essentially to ourselves. Complementary bottled water was provided upon request. We were interested to try some of the unique items that this location offers so we ordered the following: Lemon Cheeseling Chicken: boneless chicken with powdered mascarpone and cheddar cheese with the signature lemon sauce. The chicken was crispy, cheesy and creamy with a sweet lemony brightness from the lemon sauce. This was a unique change from our go-to Korean fried chicken flavours of soy garlic and special spicy. Seafood Gambas Al Ajillo: bb.q style gambas with shrimp and calamari served with sourdough garlic bread. While the dish was good, we were not particularly wowed by this dish which was served in a lemon butter sauce. Perhaps we expected more shrimp for the price, and more pronounced garlic flavour. Tteokbokki: with a slightly sweet and mildly spicy sauce , the rice cakes were perfectly chewy and there was a generous amount of fish cakes in the dish. Delicious! They carry all of the usual bb.q Chicken fried chicken and menu offerings found at other locations. Parking can sometimes be challenging on Elm street but there is limited street parking as well as several parking garages within a short walking distance of the restaurant. I would definitely return to bb.q Chicken Lemon to enjoy Korean fried chicken with a touch of ambiance.

Yelp
bb.q Chicken Lemon is a great way to satisfy your Korean fried chicken craving in an elevated way! Most of the other bb.q chicken locations in Toronto focus on takeout orders, but this location is very well-decorated and spacious, with a more expansive menu compared to those locations. Service was super friendly and attentive. We ordered the secret sauce fried chicken (a staple at bb.q) and tried their lemon cheesling chicken (exclusive to the lemon location). Both were super tasty and well-executed, but I've never had anything like the lemon cheesling one before. The combination of two different cheese seasonings and lemon sauce was an unique but super tasty pairing. I don't think a lot of people know about this unique bb.q chicken location yet. But the food, decor, and service were all top-notch, and I'd highly recommend trying this spot!

Yelp
It's OK. My remarks will be biased since we only got takeout. They didn't have some of the fried chicken available for takeout when we called to pickup around 6pm on a weekday. It's obviously their key offering so it was odd. I got the rose tteokbokki and my bf got the fried rice with chicken. The fried rice was VERY mediocre like Chinese food court-style. I would say the rose tteokbokki was good and I would definitely get that again. Would come back to try the actual fried chicken.

Yelp
Was looking for a new go-to Korean fried chicken place downtown and came across this place on Yelp. The food: I really like their rose tteokbokki. I saw it on a kdrama a few weeks back and was very doubtful, but they ran out of the regular tteokbokki, so I gave it a chance. Pleasantly surprised; would recommend. Calamari was crunchy and goes well with the spicy Mayo sauce. The chicken was crispy. The service: We went really early for dinner and was the only people there for most of the meal. Our waitress was really attentive. She made sure we were enjoying the food and kept our water glasses filled. Left very happy and stuffed.

Yelp
I've been excited since I saw the sign come up since I'm a fan of the BBQ Chicken Pub uptown at Yonge and Cummer. When I went this week, they said they had a special where you could get a Chicken Waffles or Seafood Gambas Al Ajillo for free which was great! There's a lot more options than just fried chicken here. My friend and I got the rosé dukbokki which I was interested to try. It tastes just like rice cake in pasta rosé sauce which I thought would be weird but turned out yummy. The seafood gambas was super garlic-y and comes with toast to eat with. My friend and I each got the BBQ boneless Combo. I got the secret sauce one and it came with 4 big pieces of boneless fried chicken. It was soooo crispy and good. I liked it better than the one uptown! Will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Food: Food is good and beer towers are cool for groups Service: service is good but theyre staff dont seem very knowledgeable on mixed/alcoholic drinks Ambiance: washrooms need to be cleaned more often and they have fruit flies flying around Overall: not amazing but would get it for take out/uber eats

Yelp
Unbelievable tasty and juicy fried chicken. Nothing similar in Toronto in my opinion. Everyone should give it a try if you are around Dundas square. Great spot for group and also for take out because the taste still high quality even the day after.

Yelp
I've only had Korean fried chicken in the US, but this was probably the best KFC I've ever eaten. We got the golden fried and secret sauce chicken - both were fresh, crispy, and flavorful, and because we visited on a Thursday, all chicken was $4 off. Delicious and cheap!

Yelp
Best korean fried chicken in the city! chicken is great quality and the fries are crispy and seasoned so well. feels like you're dining in Seoul :)

Yelp
Great Food! Quite pricey but worth it! Dukbokki, fries and wings are awesome. It's very filling. Glad I don't have to travel to Seoul just to get a taste of authentic korean fried chicken. The best!

Yelp
Terrible. Can you even call this Korean fried chicken? It was just unseasoned chicken covered with a coating. Flavorless Plus it set me back 20 some dollars. I could have gotten better and cheaper at kfc.

Mike B.

Yelp
The chicken fried rice with the Korean Soy Sauce was amazing. The chicken and waffles had a surprising Korean flare
