Please visit this local sanctuary and donate whatever you can. This farm has no funding and is run by wonderful people who need help. They have a fantastic area where you can buy fresh vegetables and eggs, plus pastries. Highly recommend- especially if you love animals and want to make a difference.

I would give this place 100 stars!!! My family had an amazing time at The Farm. I’ve always wanted to visit, but I was always tied up on the days they were open. Finally, getting the chance to go was such a meaningful experience. We had the privilege of speaking with a warm, kind woman whose deep passion for caring for the animals was truly inspiring. Being there was such a feel-good experience, and my daughter had a blast playing with the animals—she didn’t want to leave! The woman mentioned volunteer opportunities, and her words about it being a true commitment were SPOT ON. She emphasized the need for dedication, and I couldn’t agree more. The only downside is that we live in Texas. God bless this place, its mission, and the incredible people behind it. The world could use more individuals like them to make it a better place.

This farm is absolutely adorable. Must see and visit. Fresh eggs are delicious, will be getting them weekly. The peacocks and rooster greeted my family as we entered.

Visited for the first time and I have lived here over 20 years! Great little farm. Animals are rescued and given a great life. Staff is friendly and animals are either penned or free roaming. Great for all ages. Produce, eggs, jelly, honey, etc for sale. A nice little place to visit. Bring the kids and support The Farm!

Lived here 40 yrs and never been to this place!! Wanted to get local honey for help w allergies (got it). They also have local farm grown veggies and home-made breads and cookies. They also have lots of domestic and farm animals that they have provided a home for, many of them have been neglected and/or abused and they've nurses back to health and given a home. Great cause and well worth the donation I gave for what they are doing. Very admirable. Great place to take the kids. The produce and fresh eggs are on the expensive side, but you can't get much fresher or more organic! They have a very clean and not smelly comfort station (outhouse).

I have been visiting THE FARM for years and have been volunteering there for over 2 and a half years now. I love this place. The animals are so well cared for and loved here. I get so busy with my day-to-day life; I forget to write reviews.  But I wanted to try and write a review since I have seen a few reviews with complaints, and I want to address them since I have been behind the scenes when I volunteer.  I know there is no pleasing everyone, but everyone should have understanding. They are a great place to visit see the animals and feed the animals. The animals are so happy and healthy here. You can never tell what kind of bad life some of them had before arriving.  If you are lucky enough to catch and to talk to the owner Sharon or one of the longtime volunteers, we are always happy to give a little bit of the backstory of the some of the animals and answer questions. I have seen a couple of reviews mentioning the cats. Yes, there are lots of cats there, they have a job to do. They keep rodents away. It is a farm so the best way to keep pest away safely is cats. Most farms have them and they are usually called “barn cats.” I have seen people mention the prices of entry and food in the farmer’s market. Please remember they are NOT a business; they are a non-profit. All the money they earn goes to caring for the animals there. All the animals there have been rescued in some way. Most would not be alive if not for Barn Buddies rescue @ THE FARM. Someone mentioned wanting the animals to have more space to move around. They have a pasture on another part of the property that is not open to the public that they rotate animals to when they are not open, so the animals have extra room to run and stretch their legs.  If you follow their Facebook page, you will see some pictures of the animals out there. I have also seen reviews about people working there being rude.  They run on a staff of volunteers, and a hand full of actual employees.  Please be understanding, they are a real farm, the owner, and her husband work 365 days a year 24 hours a day. And yes 24 hours a day, all through the year there are baby animals needing around the clock care, sick animals, illegal fireworks, etc. The Owner is one of the kindest and caring people you have ever met if you take the time to get to know her. She worries about all her animals all the time, everything she does is for the animals.
